Chapter 1628: Part 1: Fight Against the Venom Maw

The ancient spirit guided me toward the front line. When I got there, I was shocked by the scene.

I didn’t expect the ancient spirit’s voice to say something so important. If the ancient spirit’s voice was cautioning me, then the danger had to be real.
On the other hand, the ten Venom Maws were communicating with each other. They were at the absolute peak of Red Mark strength.
They were here upon receiving orders from the higher-ups. They were here to eliminate the human genius, a young Purple Mark Warrior.
The creatures ignored the Red Mark Warriors. None of their attacks were landing on them. If an attack had landed successfully on them, it could have hurt them.

The Venom Maw made a high jump from the spot. Its body rose 100 ft above the ground. The scene was terrifying.
The shock force spread across the area and impacted the Human Red Mark Warriors. Their bodies were thrown back by the impact.
The impact hit them hard, and they crashed into the ground with a heavy thud.
On the other hand, I saw the massive creature high in the sky.
"Get ready, the creature is targeting you," the ancient spirit’s voice warned.
Hearing that, my eyes flashed cold. I knew it was time to act and face the challenge ahead.
I brought out the broadsword and held it in my hand.

"Purple Lightning Phantom!"
I used the movement technique. The next second, purple lightning burst forth from my feet. The force pushed me backward.
I moved backward in a zigzag manner.

At the same time, the massive venomous creature was getting closer to the ground. If I hadn’t used the movement technique, I would have been crushed by the massive figure.
The massive creature looked like a big dot in the sky. As the creature got closer to the ground, the dot began to expand.

The ancient spirit was concerned. It didn’t expect the enemy to send a Venom Maw into the battle. It had guessed earlier that something worse might come.
And it really did happen this time.

The black tongue collided with the black sword, which was charged with dark purple lightning.

A deafening noise occurred. The force behind the tongue was so powerful that it sent Zack Lockwood flying backward.
At the same time, the black tongue came in contact with the dark lightning power. The destructive power began to electrocute the black tongue.

The massive Venom Maw let out a shriek. The dark lightning power injured it; it felt a burning sensation on its tongue.
It couldn’t believe the Human Purple Mark Warrior had injured it. The poison glands in its tongue were damaged.

On the other hand, my body crashed into the ground. It didn’t stop there. I continued to roll backward because of the force.
Finally, my body stopped after hitting a tree.

I let out a muffled grunt. I felt a searing pain all over my body. How long had it been since I was hit by such force?
No wonder the other Human Red Mark Warriors were easily destroyed by the powerful coercion.
"Endure it. Your attack injured it successfully. The poison glands in that tongue must have been damaged," the ancient spirit’s voice said.
