Another World Mall

"!!!" Clovis and Jay were quite surprised. They were supposed to win in that exchange, but Mara’s skill was so exquisite that she managed to injure them as well while minimizing the damage.

Even though they were closing in on her strength, Mara’s had more time to polish her skill.

Clovis might have Another World Mall, but it wasn’t enough to bypass the gap between him and Mara.

However, if they worked together, they should be able to defeat her somehow.

"Keep it up!" Clovis shouted. It would be fine if they were injured. They had Luci or even his mall to let them recover after this battle.

However, if they couldn’t defeat Mara in the next thirty minutes, everything would be over.

"Go!"

Clovis and the others continued their relentless attack, trying to overwhelm Mara.

It might be because of their fierce attacks that Mara couldn’t even unleash her famous ability, the ranged attack. In other words, they at least sealed her ability to attack Kanaria, Rin, and Angelia in the distance.

Erwin came forward this time, using his wires to set up a field for Clovis and the others.

However, Mara actually overpowered him and even broke several of his fingers as he barely blocked her attack.

Erwin was actually smiling because he had accomplished his objective. While she was distracted, Jay and Clovis came from the other side and struck her.

In addition, Christina and Ragna kept blocking her attacks with Luci and Freud supporting her.

Reolf and Rea used their respective abilities to become the unpredictable elements in this fight, while Kanaria, Angelia, and Rin kept hitting her from a distance.

In just five minutes, Clovis and the others managed to hit her seventeen times, two of which left a quite big wound. The first big wound was Jay’s strike on her back. The second one came from Angelia’s arrow.

Her arrow had pierced Mara’s left arm with enough force to break her bones. Clovis and the others already felt the lack of power coming from her left hand, so they immediately switched their focus to her left hand, making sure that she couldn’t use it anymore for the duration of the battle.

Of course, Clovis asked Melody to take into account her regenerative ability. After all, Melody already knew the extent of Clovis’ Abyss State. She just had to add the possibility of a stronger version of the Abyss State.

Unfortunately, the battle also took a toll on the Libation Fiesta. Although most of the wounds were superficial, Clovis and Jay were covered in wounds like Mara. In addition, Erwin and Aileen had been sacrificing themselves for the team.

They were the ones who focused on sealing Mara’s movement so that they could deal a decisive blow.

However, Aileen and Erwin were about to go down soon.

"..." Clovis’ expression turned solemn. While the battle was going well for them, the balance was extremely thin. One wrong mistake might cause them to lose.

"Clovis, I think it’s time." Erwin took a deep breath.

It looked like Erwin figured out his thoughts from seeing his expression. Clovis glanced at him and said, "I will lead the group to victory."

"Got it, Captain." Erwin smiled.

Clovis and Jay moved forward at the same time. Christina and Ragna did the same thing as they were preparing for the next phase of the battle.

Mara didn’t understand what they’re aiming for, but first she struck Christina and Ragna with her glaive. Stopped, she redirected her swing by forcefully pulling it with her injured hand.

Both Clovis and Jay overpowered Mara this time. As they expected, her left hand couldn’t even unleash 50% of its original power output anymore. Of course, there was a possibility that she was faking it, but the Libation Fiesta didn’t intend to underestimate Mara even for a second.

Then, this was a time for Erwin to come from the front.

Erwin sent out his wires, trying to completely restrict her movement.

Mara, of course, wouldn’t allow him to accomplish his objective. She kicked Erwin in the stomach, trying to push him away.

To her surprise, Erwin withstood that kick and grabbed her leg.

"I got you." Erwin smiled.

The sniper team immediately launched its attack from a distance. With Erwin holding her leg, there was no way Mara could leave.

That was why Mara hurriedly swung her glaive toward Erwin.

Rea and Reolf struck her with their talons and claws from behind. At the same time, Mara had to strengthen her left hand to block the attack from the sniper team. She managed to do it without losing balance, but Angelia’s arrow once again pierced through her defense.

Besides, Kanaria’s bullet and Rin’s arrows already weakened her injured hand further.

With this, she wouldn’t be able to use her left arm anymore.

Still, she could continue her swing and slashed Erwin.

"Ah, shit!" Erwin grinned. His wires earlier were just a trap he had set up to bait Mara’s attack. The moment the slash was coming, he put his wires in front of him to block this slash, but the slash dislocated the remaining fingers that still worked.

Without any fingers left to withstand her glaive, Erwin was forced to use his entire arms, causing both of them to snap as well.

Fortunately, he managed to stop it, even though the glaive still hit him deep in the shoulder. Blood spurted like a fountain, so Aileen came behind him right after and tossed him away before stabbing the foot that Erwin had grabbed earlier.

Aileen’s eyes turned bloodshot as she saw her beloved man was severely injured. She slid her short sword down her leg, making sure that Mara wouldn’t be able to use it anymore in this battle.

However, Aileen was a bit too focused on her leg that she didn’t realize that the glaive already bounced back from the ground and hit her head.

Aileen’s consciousness disappeared for a split second as the hard metal staff hit her head.

Mara then pulled her glaive away, ready to finish Aileen. But before the glaive could reach her, Clovis abruptly stood in her way and received the attack head-on.
