of Egdiel Castle, a large hall without windows.
And it came to pass a week later, that the nobles were gathered again in the place.
They gathered, some seemed intrigued, some nervous in their faces, anticipating to each of them who would take the lead today.
Again powerful is Lloyd Sutherland, a heavy town in the Privy Council and who totally dominated the field last time. I also hear the conservative nobles tied under Lloyd this past week.
Nevertheless, the situation easily fluctuates with how many allies lead assistant Nigel Otto and regional director Dan Dreyfus, who were last pushed and in the mood, and Princess Alicia and her aide Clovis Cromwell, who are the first proponents.
Everyone only spits and wants to know how to get out of each other.
By King James, the holding of the consultation was declared.
While not incorporating any outside light, only the light lit in the chandelier illuminates the area brilliantly. Alicia herself held herself in it as she looked at the faces of the aristocrats running her subtle gaze as she explored how to get out of each other.
Clovis sits next to her, just like last time, followed by Nigel, Secretary Dreyfus. Across the street is Lloyd, full of majesty, next to him is Liddy. Speaking of things different from last time, Liddy, who was still staring at Clovis in a way that was going to bite him, will be somewhat of a bystander today.
"… the foregoing is the subject of a joint examination by the Legal and Finance Departments of this proposal. As a result, I did not see any noticeable problems with the establishment of the Merriculius Chamber of Commerce, either legally or in terms of revenue and expenditure"
That concludes with Colin Adams, Secretary of State for Legal Affairs. At the end of the last time, it was the Legal and Treasury Departments that were assigned that role when the content of the recommendations should be re-quantified in the Privy Council.
Of course, in the meantime, the Royal Auxiliary Office and the Regional Court also made confirmations, in contact with Jude Nicole, Marquis of Rosen, who is in practice. However, since the auxiliary room and the regional council are also the source of the recommendations, two different government offices had white feather arrows in order to achieve greater fairness.
In fact, it was the auxiliary rooms, including Clovis, that I put together, but the big book of recommendations is Alicia, the princess. The fact that no major problem was found in that suggestion means that the relieved air flows into the hall.
In the meantime, with a flashy face, Dreyfus blurred.
"It would be obvious. Everyone was anxious, so I couldn't help but look at the advice I gave them."
"I have no problem. That's what makes it worth it."
Hang your lips up gracefully, Lloyd answers. A cold and sharp eye, reminiscent of a raptor, turned to Dreyfus.
"Well, it's Dreyfuss. The Regional Court, too, was not just resting for the past week. Isn't there something you have to tell us?
"... oh, well, yeah. Uhm."
In such a way as reluctantly, Dreyfuss rises.
Dreyfuss, who makes honesty a virtue, doesn't hide it, whether it's information against him or not. He's the type of man who takes the initiative to open his mouth and say, "Let's crack our bellies and talk," while being in the aristocratic world exploring each other's bellies.
"For one thing, I have to tell everyone."
"What's up? Is something wrong?"
Fudge Hobbs, a conservative and Duke of Jerus, who also showed difficulty in setting up the Chamber of Commerce last time, gets his hands on each other while keeping himself behind his back. In contrast, Dreyfuss frowned thickly, "That's it," he said.
"I checked with Jude's guy to see if the Chamber of Commerce itself could be set up, and that's getting suspicious. The merchants who were considering sitting at the centre of the establishment have successively turned me down."
"What. So where we squeezed our foreheads together here and squeezed our wisdom, there's no point in anything"
"It would be too soon to decide that we cannot set up"
It was Daniel Bain, Marquis of Harbor, who raised an objection to Fudge, shrugging his shoulders, for Christ's sake. As promised earlier, as an endorser of the establishment of the Chamber of Commerce, he stood up to me.
"The Merriculius Chamber of Commerce is believed to generate enormous profits because the handicrafts in our country are also highly trusted by other countries. Therefore, the merchants said that they were willing to ride in the direction of participation. That's what we should have talked about. Just because a few people say no, it's not good to decide you can't, you can't."
"Sir Daniel is right. Sir Jude has been asked to make a selection to secure talent again. We can't say the road's closed yet."
"Having said that, we were assembled to decide whether to endorse the recommendation as a Privy Council or not. The answer must be clear."
"I see what you mean."
Lloyd stares at the moderate nobles and looks around. In fact, several of the aristocrats endorsing the Chamber of Commerce shrugged themselves like frogs scorned by snakes.
"We cannot, as a Privy Council, approve recommendations that are either realistic or dangerous. There is such a thing as a circle in the world. This wasn't the time."
Following Lloyd, the conservative nobles muttered, "Yamane," and "we have no choice but to veto". With that satisfied, Lloyd hummed his curved nose like an eagle.
- More than that, Alicia watched with her empty eyes. An agreeable aristocrat looking for a breakthrough to argue with, an opponent's aristocrat grinning loosely at the way he wins. Both of them were reflected in Alicia as if they were events in a distant world.
It was not the heavily argued Privy Councils that were keeping Alicia's attention, but the silent Liddy Sutherland. The princess's decision seemed to waver at his appearance, not trying so hard to see this one.
But she has something to accomplish. Alicia cannot loosen her hand here to save the future of the kingdom or for those who believe in herself and follow her.
A glimpse of the side revealed Clovis' purple eyes and gaze. The brunette aide nodded small with a serious look, and the trick braved Alicia.
(... come on, this is where we fight back)
By decree to herself, Alicia rose in the great hall where the nobles fought their tongues.
