Chapter 163: Forging a Weapon with One’s Own Hands

After finishing her meal, Moira Lynch returned to her room, locked the door, and then slipped into her personal space.

She had collected a lot of Insect Attracting Grass today and planned to build a dedicated warehouse to store it all.

Once the warehouse was built, Moira Lynch called Snowy over.

"Awoo!"

A cheerful cry soon echoed from the distance.

Following the sound with her eyes, she saw what looked like a white gas canister rolling in her direction.

Compared to when it was first born, Snowy had grown quite a bit, and its physique had changed.

It used to be a little furball; now it was a gas canister.

Trailing behind the gas canister was a small, fluffy tail.

Moira Lynch still couldn’t figure out why a fox’s tail would grow to look like a rabbit’s.

When Snowy ran over, Moira Lynch reached out to stroke its fluffy white fur. ’Yep, it’s solid,’ she thought. ’It must have been eating well lately.’

Patience had said that the growth of a Spiritual Body required a vast amount of energy, so Moira Lynch had never restricted Snowy’s diet.

"Let’s go. We have important business to attend to today."

Upon hearing there was important business, Snowy’s expression immediately turned serious.

Moira Lynch led it to one of the warehouses.

She pushed open the warehouse door. This was where Moira Lynch stored items she had no immediate use for. The Yeti Horns she had collected on Glacius were also here.

Yeti Horns were incredibly sharp and could be made into weapons. There were two methods to do so.

The first method was to hire someone to forge them. The advantages were that it was fast and hassle-free. The disadvantages were the high cost and the fact that not just anyone possessed the ability to forge Yeti Horns.

The second method was for the user to forge it themselves.

The advantages of this approach were that it was cheap and the resulting weapon would be one hundred percent compatible with its creator.

But the disadvantages were also glaring: it was slow, and without any forging experience, one would have to figure everything out through trial and error.

However, her experience fusing with the Thousand Feather Bow had given Moira Lynch an idea.

Back then, after breaking through to level three, Moira Lynch had been eager to test the power of the Thousand Feather Bow.

In the process of testing it, the energy emitted by the bow had become entangled with her spiritual power, eventually fusing directly into it.

The Thousand Feather Bow hadn’t disappeared, however. It continued to exist within her spiritual power, becoming a weapon only she could wield.

’If the Thousand Feather Bow could do it, then maybe the Yeti Horns can too.’

’With Snowy as my Spiritual Body, its help should greatly increase the chances of success.’

No sooner said than done. Facing the warehouse full of Yeti Horns, Moira Lynch slowly released her spiritual power.

Recalling the sensation of fusing with the Thousand Feather Bow, Moira Lynch slowly began to experiment.

As Moira Lynch’s Spiritual Body, Snowy immediately understood her intent. Its body tensed, and it faced the Yeti Horns with a serious gaze.

As Moira Lynch got into the groove, the look in Snowy’s eyes as it stared at the Yeti Horns grew increasingly strange.

If Moira Lynch had glanced at Snowy at that moment, she would have discovered that a shameful stream of drool was already flowing from the corners of its mouth, threatening to become a river.

Finally, as if the time was right, Snowy gathered its strength, leaped, and pounced toward a Yeti Horn.

Moira Lynch felt a gust of wind whip past her ear. When she opened her eyes, she saw the white gas canister hanging off a Yeti Horn, its mouth wide open, about to take a bite.

The sight made the color drain from Moira Lynch’s face. She knew how incredibly hard those Yeti Horns were.

Furthermore, since Snowy was her Spiritual Body, her physical state was reflected in it, and likewise, its condition was synchronized with hers—including injuries.

"Wai—"

Before Moira Lynch could get the word out, Snowy bit down with a loud "CRUNCH!"

Moira Lynch instinctively covered her mouth and squeezed her eyes shut, not daring to watch what happened next. ’It’s over, it’s over,’ she wailed internally. ’With a bite like that, forget its teeth, its jawbone is probably fractured.’

Yet, after waiting for a long time, the anticipated pain never came. Instead, the continuous sound of crunching and chewing reached her ears.

Moira Lynch slowly opened her eyes, only to see Snowy hugging the Yeti Horn, happily munching away, bite after bite.

In just that short time, the very tip of the Yeti Horn had already been eaten.

’Did the fusion fail?’

Moira Lynch closed her eyes to sense the changes within her. She could clearly feel a small, foreign stream of power had appeared within her spiritual power. As Snowy continued to gnaw on the horn, this power was steadily growing.

"Hm?"

After sensing it more carefully, Moira Lynch instinctively frowned. ’The impurities in this power are overwhelming. It’s like a rusted kitchen knife that needs to be constantly ground on a whetstone.’

Moira Lynch’s own spiritual power began to act as that whetstone.

But the impurities were so dense that it took Moira Lynch a full two hours just to purify a tiny fraction of the new power.

She opened her palm, and an object with a metallic sheen materialized.

Moira Lynch studied the object in her hand. It looked exactly like the broken tip of a scimitar. The point was incredibly sharp, glinting with a cold light, while the base was an irregular, jagged edge.

On closer inspection, one could clearly see the imprints of two canine teeth on the fractured surface.

Moira Lynch found a huge boulder and mentally commanded the blade tip to fly out.

A white light flashed past. Without any resistance, the massive boulder was cleaved in two.

This scene reminded Moira Lynch of the saying "like a hot knife through butter." It was a perfect description.

Moreover, Moira Lynch found that wielding the blade tip felt incredibly natural. Unlike before, she no longer needed to search for the right angle to attack; the entire process was fluid and intuitive.

’No wonder they say a self-forged weapon is one hundred percent compatible with its creator.’

Back in the warehouse, seeing Snowy happily munching away, Moira Lynch didn’t disturb it.

Before leaving her personal space, Moira Lynch went to the area where she cultivated Body Building Aloe Vera and prepared her supply for the next few days.

She now had to eat more than a dozen stalks of Body Building Aloe Vera every day to satisfy the needs of the Body Refining Worms inside her.

She casually peeled a stalk of Body Building Aloe Vera and took a bite. It was slimy and tasteless. Not only was it unappetizing, but the texture was frankly a bit nauseating.

Moira Lynch expertly pulled out some cumin and chili powder, dipping the aloe in it as she ate.

’When will these days ever end?’ she wondered.

Remembering what Shane Rhodes had said before she came upstairs, Moira Lynch opened her game interface and relisted the Water-cooling Stones she had previously taken down.

After leaving her personal space, Moira Lynch was just about to sit down and meditate.
