The first thing Moira Lynch saw when she opened her phone that morning was the news. She couldn’t help but marvel, ’They work way too fast.’

’It probably hasn’t even been twelve hours, and the new policy is already in place.’

However, this new approach had its downsides. Namely, you needed an internet connection to learn.

Every day, a dedicated video website would host a livestream, broadcasting the very same interstellar educational cartoon that Moira Lynch had previously shown to Shane Rhodes and the others.

This incident also caused a huge stir internationally.

Many countries strongly demanded that Cathaya hand over the Learning Machine for joint research.

But these unreasonable demands were, unsurprisingly, rejected.

Cathaya didn’t forbid people from other countries from learning, but as for joint research... they could forget it.

Moira Lynch scrolled through her phone for a while before hearing Kai York call her for a meal from outside.

Before, they used to eat whatever they felt like, but that was no longer possible after the bug infestation broke out.

Prepared food would spoil and go bad quickly, even if it was kept in the refrigerator.

Although it could be preserved with a Water-cooling Stone, thawing it would require a large amount of water.

To avoid waste, Moira Lynch and the others now ate their meals together. Even the amount of food cooked was a standard four-person portion, not a single bite more.

Just as Moira Lynch finished changing and was about to leave her room, a notification sound suddenly went off.

She opened her Intelligent Brain and, sure enough, saw an unread message.

The message was from the Navi Auction organizers, informing her that the auction would officially begin in twelve hours, at which point the Teleportation Gate would open.

After reading the message, a flash of happiness appeared in Moira Lynch’s eyes. ’Great, the wait is finally over.’

Some time ago, Moira Lynch had specifically looked up information about the Navi Auction.

Likely due to confidentiality, there was very little information about the Navi Auction online; only occasional scraps and rumors circulated.

But even these scraps of information were packed with meaning.

The items and props that appeared at the Navi Auction were basically things you couldn’t find on the market, and their quality was exceptionally high.

High-level props that were considered extremely rare by the public now might not even meet the entry requirements for the Navi Auction.

Moira Lynch quickly went downstairs, finished her breakfast, and returned directly to the second floor.

The others weren’t surprised by her behavior; on the contrary, they were used to it.

Hugh Finch sat cross-legged before the coffee table, a deck of Tarot Cards laid out in front of him.

After turning over the Tarot Cards one by one, he looked toward the second floor and said, "Moira’s luck is good today. She’ll have an unexpected gain."

"Then do a reading for me," Kai York suddenly leaned in, a cheeky grin on his face.

Hugh Finch shoved Kai York’s big face away with a look of disgust and said, "I’ve already done yours."

"Really?"

Kai York’s eyes lit up. "So, how’s my luck today?"

Hugh Finch turned to look at him, a faint smile on his face, and said in a very meaningful tone, "Your luck today... is pink."

Hearing Hugh Finch’s words, coupled with that meaningful expression, Kai York instantly blushed.

"Oh, so it’s pink... Uh, well, I’m going to take a walk today. No need to save lunch for me."

Watching Kai York skip out the door, Shane Rhodes looked on, somewhat speechless. "He’s been tricked so many times. When is he ever going to learn his lesson?"

Hugh Finch didn’t just start doing divination after awakening his Talent; he was very interested in it even before the apocalypse.

With his skills in Tarot and astrology readings, he had charmed countless upperclassmen and underclassmen at school. The one who suffered the most at his hands was none other than Kai York.

But the guy just never learned his lesson. He fell for a trick every single day, and it was always the same one.

"I bet one hour this time," Shane Rhodes said.

Hugh Finch slowly gathered his Tarot Cards, then held up one hand. "I bet half an hour. Whoever loses does all the other’s chores for the next three days."

"Deal."

Shane Rhodes and Hugh Finch high-fived, then Shane skillfully pulled out his phone and started a timer.

An hour and a half later, Kai York returned. His clothes were normal, but his face and hair had been dyed bright pink.

Upon closer inspection, his hands and feet had also turned pink.

Moira Lynch, who had been about to come downstairs to grab something, froze on the stairs when she saw this, stunned for a long moment.

"Did you... get a limited-edition skin?"

"PFFT, HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

The words had barely left her mouth when Shane Rhodes and Hugh Finch burst out laughing, unable to hold it in.

Kai York shot Hugh Finch a glare, his eyes practically breathing fire. "This is what you meant by ’pink’ luck?"

Hugh Finch was laughing so hard he was stumbling and could barely breathe. "Is this not pink enough for you?"

"It’s definitely pink enough." Kai York practically spat the words through gritted teeth.

After learning his luck was pink for the day, Kai York had, of course, subconsciously associated it with luck in love and eagerly ran outside.

Moira Lynch and the others had initially thought his new color was the work of a Talent, but it turned out to be from a bug.

After heading out, Kai York first wandered around Sector A a few times but encountered nothing. Then he went to the other sectors.

Many people had chosen to leave the base after the extreme heat ended, but since the bug infestation began, many had come scurrying back.

Not long after arriving in Sector B, Kai York saw a pink flower blooming by the roadside.

You have to understand, flowers had all but disappeared since the apocalypse, let alone such a delicate pink one.

But when he reached out to pick it, he suddenly realized it wasn’t a flower at all, but a swarm of pink bugs clustered together.

Although these bugs weren’t harmful, after taking a direct hit from them, Kai York had been dyed entirely pink.

Based on Kai York’s description, Moira Lynch took out her phone and opened an app.

Ever since receiving the Learning Machine from Moira Lynch, the base had worked overnight to develop this app. All newly discovered species were uploaded directly to it for everyone to see.

Moira Lynch quickly found the bug that had attacked Kai York.

"Dye-Bug. Harmless. Its body contains a potent dyeing agent. Any part of the body that comes into contact with it will be dyed its corresponding color, which is especially noticeable on skin."

"So when will I change back?" Kai York asked, on the verge of a breakdown.

Moira Lynch held up three fingers.

"Three days?"

Kai York breathed a sigh of relief. ’That’s not so bad. I’ll just stay inside for the next three days.’

Moira Lynch shook her head. "Three months, sweetie."

The next second, Moira Lynch clearly heard the sound of something shattering.
