Just as she was preparing to throw the swirling mass of wind in her hands at the winged man in the sky and knock him off balance, she suddenly felt her body seized by an immense force.

Then, the world around her rushed backward.

The next second, she was slammed viciously onto the ground.

The saying "what goes around, comes around" was a perfect fit for Lily.

She had taken it for granted, using the two people by her side, even expecting them to sacrifice themselves for her at any moment.

Little did she know that in their eyes, she was nothing more than a stepping stone.

Meanwhile, Moira Lynch, flying ahead, had no idea what was happening behind her. At this moment, she was riding her Flying Device, relatively safe.

But Moira felt not a shred of relaxation. The Iceberg Beasts were enormous, but their movements were not slow—a fact that had become clear just moments ago.

Moreover, Zidra was notoriously ill-tempered. Once it targeted something, it would pursue it relentlessly until it had caught its prey.

As she was thinking this, Moira suddenly spotted three black figures up ahead.

Moira had never seen a Yeti before, but the pair of long, large ox-like horns was deeply etched in her memory.

’What rotten luck,’ she cursed inwardly.

Moira lay flat on the Flying Device. The device was white, and her clothes were also white. Due to her altitude, the Yetis didn’t seem to have noticed her.

Looking at the direction the three Yetis were heading, they seemed to be going after Zidra.

This was a good opportunity for Moira.

Moira controlled the Flying Device to fly higher while simultaneously slowing its forward speed, disguising herself as a real cloud.

But Moira soon realized this was still a bit too obvious, so she shifted her gaze to an Erqii not far away.

She controlled the Flying Device to land slowly on the Erqii.

Erqii were themselves made of ice. Moira, dressed all in white, was not conspicuous at all hiding on it; in fact, she even seemed to complement its appearance.

Once hidden, Moira watched as the three Yetis strode with heavy steps toward Zidra.

And when Zidra noticed the three Yetis, it stopped chasing the two players, its eyes fixed intently on the three Yetis.

’Two people?’

Moira looked at the two people fleeing in different directions. ’Shouldn’t there be three of them? Why are there only two now?’ she wondered.

She had expected a huge battle between the Yetis and Zidra, but who would have thought—the three Yetis surrounded Zidra, and after one punch each, Zidra was turned into a pile of shattered ice.

Moira’s eyes widened at the scene, and she couldn’t help but suck in a sharp breath.

Although she had guessed the Yetis’ combat power would be high, she hadn’t expected them to be this strong.

The ferocious beast that had been chasing them for their lives just a short while ago seemed so weak in front of these three Yetis.

Seeing the three Yetis searching for something among Zidra’s shattered remains, Moira instinctively crouched lower, hiding herself completely.

’As I thought, I never should have come up here.’

’Once the three Yetis leave, I have to get back underground immediately.’

Just as Moira was planning her escape route, she suddenly felt a round object.

Looking down, she saw a smooth snowball had appeared beside her at some point.

She picked it up and squeezed it hard. The snowball shattered, and an Ice Chestnut fell out.

At the sight, a flash of pleasant surprise appeared in Moira’s eyes. She glanced around; there were at least a hundred such snowballs.

’Is this a blessing in disguise?’

After finding what they were looking for, the three Yetis took it and walked away into the distance without a backward glance.

With Moira’s current vision, she could only make out that it was an object glowing with a red light. She guessed it was probably Zidra’s eyes.

Both being Snow Mountain Beasts, Erqii and Zidra should have similar compositions, yet Zidra possessed a pair of red eyes.

After the Yetis were completely gone, Moira, who had originally planned to return underground immediately, temporarily changed her mind. She could go back down a little later.

’I was so focused on the white snow on the Erqii. How did I not notice these snowballs before?’

Moira sat on her Cloud Flying Device and revisited all the Erqii she had seen before, harvesting a large number of snowballs.

After making sure she hadn’t missed any, a satisfied Moira returned to the snowfield and resumed digging in the opposite direction from the Yetis.

The Yetis were definitely taking their prize back to their territory, so if she wanted to leave their territory, she naturally had to go in the opposite direction.

After digging for about an hour, Moira felt a strong pang of hunger and stopped what she was doing.

She took out a cold rock and a tent, set up an alcohol stove, and while eating her meal, she took out all the snowballs she had collected and crushed them.

After crushing several in a row, Moira discovered that not all the snowballs had something hidden inside. The probability was about fifty percent.

In other words, about five out of every ten snowballs would yield something.

’Not bad. The odds are much better than a lottery,’ she thought.

After crushing all the snowballs, Moira discovered that not all of them contained Ice Chestnuts.

Besides the Ice Chestnuts, which looked like chunks of ice, there was also a white fruit that looked like snow.

At first, Moira thought it was just snow and almost threw it away.

[Snow Chestnut: After consumption, all parts of the body will turn white, including hair and eyes. There is also a one-in-a-thousand chance of receiving the Snow Sprite’s blessing.

PS: The changes brought by the Snow Chestnut only manifest in low temperatures.]

Looking at the description from Patience, Moira decided that she would live on Ice Chestnuts and Snow Chestnuts for the time being.

The Ice Chestnuts could increase her body’s resistance to freezing, and the Snow Sprite’s blessing from the Snow Chestnuts was worth gambling on.

Having made this decision, Moira would occasionally stop while digging through the snow to eat an Ice Chestnut, just like eating ice cream.

Perhaps because she ate so many, the effects of the Ice Chestnuts gradually began to show.

At first, she needed to eat an Extremely Hot Mushroom every half hour and would occasionally have to drink some Red Sugar and White Ginger Water to warm up.

But after eating dozens of Ice Chestnuts, her need for Extremely Hot Mushrooms decreased. Now, she only needed to eat one every two hours.

Moira looked at her hands. Even without thick gloves, they no longer felt frozen.

’Not bad, not bad at all. I still have some Ice Chestnuts in my storage space. Once I finish them all, I’ll start on the Snow Chestnuts.’

Still, just to be safe, she wore a pair of leather gloves.
