At first, these Water-cooling Stones didn’t cause much of a reaction, but that was understandable. It was nighttime, after all.

The players had either gone to bed or were busy arguing with people on the game forums, but she wasn’t in a hurry.

She exited her shop and opened the interface for individual sellers.

Besides the main shops, individuals could also sell items. After all, not everyone had the money to open a storefront.

However, the system would take a cut if an individual sold something.

Moira Lynch took a look. Most people were selling old winter clothes, or luxury jewelry and bags.

The items these people wanted in exchange were mostly things like rice, flour, and canned goods—food that could be stored for a long time.

After browsing for a while, Moira Lynch didn’t find any items that caught her eye.

She saw a search bar at the top, clicked on it, and after a moment’s thought, she typed in "game items."

She didn’t have high hopes, but to her surprise, some results actually appeared. Although the asking prices were high, Moira felt they were reasonable for game items.

Of course, this was her opinion *before* she read the descriptions of the items.

After Moira Lynch saw the descriptions of these items, she understood why they had been put up for sale.

A quill pen that never runs out of ink. Light as a feather, it can write smoothly on any surface.

Price: Five 11-pound vacuum-sealed bags of rice or twenty boxes of canned meat.

Color-changing sunglasses.

Price: Two cases of all-meat ham sausages.

A parasol that can change its size and color at will, and is very sturdy.

Price: Two family-sized first-aid kits.

A pair of beauty contact lenses that can change the user’s pupil color at will.

Price: Two 11-pound vacuum-sealed bags of rice.

Looking at these four items, each more useless than the last, Moira Lynch fell silent.

’Looking at the prices these people were asking... isn’t this just highway robbery?’

Despite her thoughts, Moira Lynch bought them anyway.

’Some things can be unexpectedly useful, as long as you don’t use them for their intended purpose.’

The sunglasses could be used to protect her eyes. The UV rays during the day were incredibly strong now, and it was often hard to keep her eyes open even in the afternoon.

Besides, with these sunglasses, she wouldn’t have to pull out eye protection from her inventory whenever she threw a flashbang. When she wasn’t using them, she could wear them like regular glasses without attracting attention.

When enlarged, the parasol could serve as a simple shelter.

Although Moira Lynch had a portable tent, it still needed to be set up. The umbrella, on the other hand, was ready to use as soon as it was opened, and it was easy to pack away.

As for the quill and the beauty contact lenses, Moira Lynch hadn’t figured out a use for them yet, but she bought them anyway.

After she clicked ’trade,’ the four items appeared before her.

A transparent umbrella. It looked like the kind of cheap umbrella you’d find at a dollar store. If the system didn’t strictly prohibit counterfeit or shoddy goods, she would have suspected she’d been scammed. ’Wasn’t this supposed to be a parasol?’

The moment Moira Lynch’s hand touched the handle, a white light flashed, and the transparent umbrella transformed into a parasol that suited her aesthetic tastes.

’Looks like this item can change based on the user’s thoughts. Not bad, not bad at all.’

After putting away the parasol, Moira Lynch picked up the sunglasses and put them on. The black sunglasses instantly transformed into a pair of silver, rimless glasses.

She looked in the mirror. Sure enough, wearing glasses gave her a completely different look. She seemed much more gentle.

The quill pen worked exactly as described. It could write on any surface, and the ink it produced couldn’t be erased—it could only be removed with the feather on the back of the pen.

The beauty contact lenses, however, had functions the seller hadn’t mentioned: they protected the eyes, relieved eye fatigue, and even provided a night vision function.

Come to think of it, the sunglasses seemed to have the same functions, which just hadn’t been discovered before.

If their previous owners had known, they probably wouldn’t have sold them—or they would have doubled the price.

After putting on the beauty contact lenses, she tried changing her pupil color. The transition was so seamless she almost forgot it wasn’t her natural eye color.

Changing her pupils back to their original amber, Moira Lynch began to consider something else: whether or not to sell the Learning Machine.

In theory, with the Intelligent Brain ’Patience’ around, she no longer needed the Learning Machine. Selling it to someone who needed it more seemed like a good option.

But Moira Lynch hesitated. People online were already starting to look for ’SoySauceDrunkard.’ Some had even put up high bounties for information about her, and some organizations were publicly calling for her to join them, offering her a position as second-in-command.

These organizations were both domestic and foreign.

Others posted guilt-tripping rants online, which disgusted Moira Lynch to no end.

She had previously revealed so many interstellar machines and so much food, making her a target for the extremely ambitious. This was all within her expectations.

Moira Lynch never dared to underestimate human nature.

Her current worry was whether someone might awaken a Divination Talent or find Divination Tools and use them to confirm her identity.

And it wasn’t an impossible thought; such a possibility might very well exist.

Especially if she were to sell the Learning Machine, those people would surely become even more frantic in their search for her.

At this thought, Moira Lynch instantly dismissed her earlier idea. At least until she had the ability to protect herself or found a way to hide her identity, the Learning Machine was not to be brought out.

"Oh, right. I wonder if the System Shop has anything I need."

Moira Lynch opened the System Shop. The items inside had been updated again. There were lollipops that could slowly restore stamina and bubble gum that made you temporarily forget your hunger.

After skipping past all the flashy products, Moira Lynch actually found what she was looking for: a translucent but iridescent cloak. Its name was also very direct: Illusion Cloak. It could conceal her identity, and most importantly, it had an Invisibility function.

Moira Lynch was already thrilled that it could conceal her identity, but it also offered Invisibility!!

Moira Lynch’s eyes lit up. Although it could only be used for one hour per day, that was more than enough.

She looked at the price, and her fiery excitement cooled considerably. Thirty thousand Gold Coins—the same as the original prices of the Favor Gemstone and the Thousand Feather Bow combined.

Just then, a line of small text appeared at the bottom of the shop’s page: If you don’t have enough Gold Coins, you can substitute Energy Ores! One Energy Ore is equal to one thousand Gold Coins.

Looked at that way, it seemed like a pretty good deal. And Moira Lynch could afford thirty Energy Ores, but...

Moira Lynch couldn’t shake the feeling that the system was deliberately trying to trick her out of her Energy Ores.

Although the weather was hot, people hadn’t reached their breaking point yet. Not many people were looking for her, and those who were mostly did so through videos, posts on the game forums, or direct messages. It hadn’t escalated into anything major.
