Chapter 54: Lovely Potion
[Daily Mission]

Terrence stayed for another day at the Lin Clan’s estate.
Progress was made with their upcoming plans, as they discussed options and shared critical insights with one another.
There was no mention about Gilbert’s mysterious whereabouts during the whole duration, almost as if he wasn’t even a part of the scheme in the first place.
Although Terrence clearly suspected each and every one of the members, he didn’t confront anyone directly. He knew deep down that doing so would make things turn out vastly different from what he initially expected.
As much as possible, he would use every single advantage he could get out of this scheme.
And so, when the day came that Terrence finally returned to Suran City, he stood inside his rented hotel room and inspected the glowing prompt hovering before him.
[Daily Mission]

’I have at least talked to three people in total today. One was a traveling merchant, and two were random bystanders over at the front gate.’
On this second day with the Daily Mission active, he still didn’t know what kind of reward would come out of it. It felt like a strictly required task with no clear indication of the potential rewards or consequences.
However, there was a high possibility that it was directly connected to his Major Mission about building an official shop.
That being said, building a shop wouldn’t be his immediate top priority upon returning to Suran City. He still had to complete their coordinated plan regarding the upcoming public duel and the planned strike on the Lovely Potion Merchant Group.
So, as the very next day arrived, the scheduled duel drew closer just as he had expected.
Terrence had bought a completely new set of clothes, making himself look like any other average citizen walking the streets. He had dropped the tactical combat gear he usually wore, dressing fully like a normal, everyday civilian.
Since most of his upcoming days would be spent inside the bustling city, the heavy tactical gear only trapped unnecessary heat, making it uncomfortable to wear.
"Well... well... well..."
An annoying, familiar voice reverberated from behind him just as he stood before the tall, luxurious establishment of the Lovely Potion Merchant Group.
He had a clear goal in coming here, but before he could even properly lay out his thoughts in his mind, someone abruptly cut off his train of thought.
Turning around slowly, Terrence saw a deeply familiar individual standing there. As his memory clicked and he remembered exactly who the guy was, he let out a low sigh.
"I finally remember who you are."
The man standing arrogantly before him was none other than the same person who had mocked him when he was at the Vin Tailoring Shop last week. He was also a prominent member of this specific merchant group that they were actively planning to destroy during the upcoming duel.
"Yeah, likewise, trash," the man sneered.
A thick vein bulged on the man’s temple upon hearing how flat and completely indifferent Terrence’s tone was. However, he forced himself to contain his immediate rage toward him.
"That’s why you ran away back then, huh? Acting just like how you should—a mere pathetic trash of the Lee Family," the man added. Filled within those harsh words was pure mockery, specifically intended to break Terrence’s spirit.
However, Terrence already knew who this guy was. Although he hadn’t recognized him during their very first brief encounter, he now knew a little bit about his unpleasant personality.
"Apart from having an ego that is way too huge—which is undeniably real—do you actually think you are standing above the Lee Family?" Terrence asked, his voice dripping with nonchalance. "Even if I was kicked out of the family, the difference between the two of us before was still vast. I will say this with the exact right words... you’re a mere member of an affiliated family."
The tip of the man’s lips twitched violently. The veins on his face popped out even further, looking as if he were losing his composure with every passing second.
Of course, the man genuinely believed he held the absolute upper hand here. Which was precisely why he loved to mock Terrence whenever he got the chance. But for Terrence to have the sheer audacity to answer him back with that kind of tone and direct insult?
Shaking his head, attempting to wipe away his visual hatred as if he were acting like the bigger person, the man sneered again.
"Although you were kicked out, you are still shamelessly using the Lee Family’s big name like a pathetic leech."
Terrence openly snorted, his face twisting as if he were about to puke at the sheer thought of using that family’s name.
"Please disregard that absurd thought," Terrence scoffed. "I want to puke at the very idea that I was ever considered a part of that family before. What I actually meant by the difference between the two of us was about our faces, not our family status. I just slipped up with my wording, forgive me."
Without waiting for a reply, Terrence turned his back and casually walked past him.
’It was definitely childish of me, but I really can’t stand his ugly face,’ Terrence thought to himself, shaking his head. ’What an ugly face to match such an ugly personality.’
Terrence walked straight toward the reception area of the establishment, but the man furiously followed right behind him.
"Hey! How dare you just step into our establishment like you own the place! You are not welcome here!" the man roared.
Terrence suddenly sensed a swift hand swinging from behind, intending to strike him. Acting quickly, Terrence took a large step forward. The man completely missed his intended target, awkwardly losing his balance and nearly stumbling over his own feet.
The man hissed in embarrassment as he frantically tried to regain his staggering balance.
"Fuck you," Terrence muttered under his breath, not even bothering to look back.
"What did you just say to me?!" In absolute disbelief, the young man couldn’t process what he had just heard. "D-Did you just curse at me?!"
"Yeah... fuck you, Milan!" Terrence stated, turning around with a deadpan stare. "You are ugly. I don’t need to waste time reasoning with you because you won’t even use your brain for a single moment anyway. So I will just curse you until you completely lose your mind, simply because I really can’t stand looking at you. I turned around specifically because I didn’t want to look at your ugly face, but you still managed to force my attention. So yeah, fuck you!"
And with that, all hell broke loose.
