Chapter 1091 - 845: The Destroyed Man
"Ah, are you all here?"
Nonchalantly pulling Resentment Water from the corpse beneath his feet, Huai Shi forced a slightly strained smile, stepped back, then stepped back again, cupping his hands in a gesture of farewell:
"Sorry to disturb you, goodbye!"
In an instant, the vibrant blood gathered into a bundle, wrapping around him, lifting him rapidly upwards.
But the force attacking from the darkness came even faster, and before Huai Shi could react, a dark shadow swept in. From above, a sliding tackle severed the link of vibrant blood. Immediately afterwards, it ricocheted off the wall.
After blinking, Huai Shi found the vibrant blood in his hand already broken, and that bestial vertical pupil was now within inches.
Roaring outburst.
He was flung backwards to the ground, crashing into the building ruins.
Before he could get up, a thick tentacle suddenly extended from the ruins, grabbing him and hurling him far away.
It was almost like shooting a basketball.
Inside the spherical shield formed by the vibrant blood around him, Huai Shi felt the world spinning, not knowing how many times he had been banged around, falling into the darkness, feeling a continuous impact.
Worse, cracks had already appeared on the vibrant blood shield.
Unable to sustain.
Huai Shi’s face instantly turned pale.
These Spirit of Nativity creatures are such a hassle to deal with even one. Two could be fought off somehow; three, he could at least escape... But with so many covering the sky, he might be really done for today if he doesn’t stay careful.
The giant Spirit of Nativity let out a howl, raised legs like huge pillars, and stomped down towards Huai Shi.
But before that, the vibrant blood shield shattered with a crash, and Huai Shi shot out like lightning, dragging the fierce light of Resentment Water, soaring up level with the grim head of the giant.
Only a piercing arc of lightning cut across, causing the giant to roar in pain, the whole junkyard shaking under its heavy steps.
And Huai Shi, borrowing strength, soared up again, seeing the darkness surge forward at an unbelievable speed, clenching his teeth and fists.
In an instant, the vibrant blood entwined around him condensed suddenly, forming a crystalline gem at his feet.
With the Source Substance infused into the endlessly compressed blood, blinding red light erupted.
After barely initiating a small part of the Casting Furnace, the Alchemy Fire instantly triggered the Source Substance and life within, turning it into a giant bomb.
Ignite!
The next moment, a blood-red storm erupted out of thin air, spreading in the darkness. Countless tiny blood-red crystals tore through the greedy curse blood, forming fleeting terrifying flames.
More than half of the vibrant blood, including the newly proliferated blood, was thrown in by Huai Shi.
The destructive power exceeded Huai Shi’s expectations.
The sharp fragments shot out, almost skinning the closest Spirit of Nativity alive and smashing them into pieces. And Huai Shi’s figure, relying on the explosion’s power, rose again, flying back along the path he came.
Above the ceiling’s crack, the friendly little dog suddenly poked its head, opened its mouth, seized the fleeting opportunity to grab him, and turned to run!
The nearby explosion impacted his internal organs, causing internal bleeding and broken ribs, Huai Shi felt a constant buzzing in his ears, and his vision turned crimson.
Yet he dared not relax, forcibly harnessing the power of the Ruins, releasing another thread of Source Substance, to activate the Dark Windbreaker’s innate ability.
One man and a dog instantly merged into the darkness, vanishing from the creatures’ senses.
Behind the breach, countless Spirit of Nativity stirred in agitation, roaring angrily.
The tide surged out, searching wildly for the cooked duck that had slipped away. But no matter how thoroughly they searched, they couldn’t find a trace left by the intruder.
High-pitched howls transmitted messages to distant places.
And so, in the deepest part of Helios, in the broken central reaction furnace, a vague outline emerged from the endless light.
Then, it opened its eyes, with terrifying flames gathering within, looking this way.
An indescribable pressure descended, the gaze penetrating through layers of barriers, coldly scanning inch by inch, as if scouring heaven and earth, leaving no speck of dust unexamined.
Suddenly, it pierced through a trivial layer of darkness.
But in the sound of a bubble popping, behind the shadow lay nothing, only a trail of forlorn blood stretching into the distance.
However, the gaze didn’t rush to pursue, rather withdrawing slightly, inspecting inward, searching through every trace left by the intruder.
As if able to see Huai Shi’s feigned retreat.
Leaving no loose ends untouched.
No anomalies.
All the Spirit of Nativity lay prostrated, trembling under the violent gaze’s pressure. A rat-shaped creature shivered slightly, instantly drawing the icy gaze.
Frozen in place, and without warning, split into two, revealing its internal structure from the inside out.
Finally, the gaze slowly retracted.
The Spirit of Nativity remained prostrate, not daring to move a muscle, only after a long, long time, retracting to their nests, entering a deep sleep.
One hour passed, two hours passed, three hours passed.
After five hours had passed.
In the junkyard ruins, the creature that Huai Shi had killed suddenly moved slightly.
Sensing no reaction nearby, it moved again.
From the shattered chest cavity, a small dog’s head, sneaky and curious, peeked out, looking around.
Seems okay.
Turning back, it nibbled on its companion’s finger.
Then, in the cooling curse blood, a figure slowly slipped out, not getting up or making a sound, under the cover of the Dark Windbreaker, using his own muscles, slithering like a snake.
Stealthily exiting the village, avoiding gunfire.
In this manner, carrying the dog, he squeezed into a sewer pipe.
Disappearing into the depths of darkness.
Only a bat-shaped Spirit of Nativity hanging from the ceiling seemed to smell something, opened its eyes to look, saw nothing, and withdrew its gaze.
After running an unknown distance, the exhausted Huai Shi halted his steps.
He finally found a slightly safer gap, stuffed the dog inside, then stuffed himself in, turned over and used tools and camouflage to block the gap.
Fell into deep sleep.
The darkness returned to silence, nothing happened.
.
And five hours ago, in the lower levels of Helios, on the eastern path of ascent.
There was an endless mist that devoured everything in its path, only faint shadows emerged from it.
Like mourners heading to a funeral.
The alchemists from the Stone Pot Society did not shed their pitch-black astronaut suits, but raised heavy jet engines, advancing silently.
No communication or words between each other, like robots, executing orders from the Great Grandmaster with indifference and precision. They held weapons, shooting all creatures that blocked their path.
Whether monsters or survivors.
Thus, they treaded a bloody path forward, step by step into the core of the lower levels, until they were surrounded by layers of frenzied Spirits of Nativity.
A sharp long tongue shot out, slicing the leader’s arm, then wrapped around half of his body, swallowing it into its belly.
Yet the dismembered alchemist in the belly still completed the final mission, turning himself and the enemy into dissolving liquid, splashing and spreading around.
Everything in its path collapsed and melted like wax oil, leaving only a mass of viscous substance, bubbling continuously.
Soon, within the dissolving substance, the reborn leader slowly rose up, indifferently glancing down at the naked body, and with a flick of his finger, a layer of astronaut suit emerged from the liquid again, covering him.
Continuing forward.
From the end of the tunnel, a clattering sound of footsteps came.
Knights, wearing solemn halos and clad in heavy armor, held long halberds, walking towards them step by step.
As if pushing forward like an iron wall.
Artificial alchemy bullets had no effect on them, breaking through defenses and driving straight in, alchemy secret rites tore their armor apart, yet nothing lay behind the armor, only a mass of writhing darkness suddenly darted out, converging into an undefined ooze monster, engulfing and covering them one by one.
Instantly, losing more than half.
Then, the sharp sound of steel friction burst forth, a heavy jet engine shook abruptly, its thick outer shell crumbled away, revealing the hidden substance within.
But it wasn’t a compressed frontline simple base.
It was a pitch-black iron coffin.
Behind the iron coffin, an inexplicable thing opened its eyes, instantly melting the steel in front, tearing the undefined monster completely apart, evaporating into ashes.
The scorching light remained unstoppable, tearing through layers of bulkheads and walls, piercing through the middle layer of Helios, skimming past Helios’s uppermost layer, piercing throughout the seven days of alchemical significance, emerging from the other end of Helios.
Stabbing into Jupiter’s Demon’s Eye.
Leaving only a strand of terrifying crimson.
Like the blood that gushes forth after piercing an eye.
Soon, that terrifying light dissipated with the closing of the eyes, leaving only a horrific steel-melted fissure on the black coffin.
The fissure wriggled like a living creature, swiftly closing up, disappearing.
The silent alchemists reborn from the ashes, once again lifted the iron coffin, moving forward.
Disappearing into the deepest of the mist.
.
.
"Damn it, anyone here! Anyone!"
In the teleportation central of the Child of Leviathan, Rachelle screamed hoarsely.
His half-body fell to the ground, blood gushing out.
The man convulsed in pain, roared hoarsely, but the empty teleportation chamber responded to no one, as if waiting for him to die.
Such cold-bloodedness.
Rachelle’s expression grew more resentful, using up his last bit of strength, he bit down and shattered his teeth.
Literally, shattered.
Dust of Snake Slough in the molars flowed into his throat, then, a miracle descended, his incomplete body began rapid rebirth and restoration.
Only the reborn flesh was awkwardly mismatched with the original parts.
Looked like a seven or eight-year-old child, yet bearing an adult’s face and an arm.
Completely transformed into a deformity.
In a liquid spreading on the ground like amniotic fluid, Rachelle panted, struggled to get up, casually tore a piece of cloth to cover himself.
Ignoring rest, furiously pushed the door open and went out.
Sprinted straight towards the bridge, carrying venomous anger.
The Great Grandmaster actually stood by indifferent to his situation, regardless of how much he had sacrificed for him... That old fool was completely untrustworthy!
Completely violated the contract they had signed!
Filled with anger and resentment, Rachelle violently pushed the door open, roaring at the old man who turned his back: "This is not what we agreed!"
In the silence, there was no response.
Only the fierce crimson light reflected on Rachelle’s gradually pale face.
Among countless corpses, blood flowed, reaching his feet, bringing a cold and viscous touch.
Then, that elderly corpse slowly fell to the ground.
Molten-hot blood flowed silently from the broken neck, corroding the floor, sizzling.
Leaving only a fiercely angry, death’s head spinning in the enemy’s hand, spilling the last scarlet.
Now, holding Garandor’s head in his hand, the One-Eyed Alchemist Ragnar... no, Grandmaster Publius lifted his gaze, looked at the deformed one who sought his own death, revealing a gentle smile.
"What did you agree on? Can you tell me?"
