The outbreak of the battle came as a surprise to both sides.

On the human side, because Park Xiuying's evolution had not yet been completed, they had remained relatively conservative. The ocean beasts, meanwhile, were also maneuvering their forces, with numbers continuously increasing, clearly intending to win in a single decisive blow.

The attack order was given, and the frontline Resistance Zone soldiers launched their assault.

Cloud Peak's defenders would have known that this was merely a habit of these mutated lifeforms, especially common on sunny days.

They were simply enjoying the comfort of the mud.

Under attack, the Half-Blue Ray Crabs naturally fought back. As part of the Demon Whale's sea beast army, they had been winning all along and had developed a violent temperament. These ten thousand mutated crabs raised their signature large pincers and fired blue rays at the Resistance Zone's formation.

The human defenses sent sparks flying under the rays, and the ground trembled slightly.

The Resistance Zone's attacks simultaneously fell upon the sea beast group, blasting open the shells of many creatures, sending pale green fluid into the air and fueling the fighting spirit on both sides.

Knowing this was their first shot, the Resistance Zone fought with utmost seriousness. The frontline units gave it their all, and this small group of mutated crabs held out only a few minutes before being routed.

The Resistance Zone wanted not just victory, but a spectacular debut—total annihilation was their goal.

They charged out of their defenses, pursuing the fleeing Half-Blue Ray Crabs.

The distance between the human and sea beast camps seemed sufficient, but in the apocalypse, distance was determined by strength and ability range.

The Resistance Zone felt they had enough distance to catch and destroy the enemy, but just as they engaged the mutated crabs, the sea beasts' "Angler Beast Corps" launched an attack.

These sea beasts were also long-range units, attacking with water-based abilities. Their signature move was a powerful water jet formed by a wide open mouth—hitting a target felt like being struck by a car. The Resistance Zone soldiers were immediately forced to halt and even began retreating.

Though the Resistance Zone was not as strong as Cloud Peak Villa, they were still an established power. Facing the setback, they fought back fiercely, with their massive war fortresses joining the battle to provide sufficient long-range firepower.

The battlefield swayed back and forth, with attack and defense constantly shifting.

Initially, only the units assigned to the day's defense were engaged, but as the battle progressed, more and more troops were drawn in, and the battlefield gradually expanded.

When Cloud Peak noticed the situation, they kept sending people to inquire, but by then the Resistance Zone was fully mobilized and had no time to attend to Cloud Peak's concerns.

If it had only been this one chaotic spot, it might have been contained. But the Glory Army's sector also erupted.

Unlike the Resistance Zone's passive engagement, the Glory Army attacked proactively.

They were separated from the Resistance Zone by Cloud Peak Villa's long battle line. As "external forces," when they saw activity on the Resistance Zone's side and the sky filled with energy, they knew fighting had broken out, though they did not know the specifics. But since the others were fighting, they could not just stand by either. Seeing some chaos among the sea beasts as well, the Glory Army chose to attack, and so their sector also became a battlefield.

Neither side was fully prepared, yet both were forced into war. Neither wanted to be the first to retreat, as that would result in heavy losses.

With both sides continuously committing troops, a true decisive battle had erupted.

"Defense Sector 7, Two-Headed Dragon Sea Giants spotted!"

"Boundary of Sector 90, it's their Alien Horse Legion—adjust anti-air priorities, must stop their venom spray!"

"Sector 2, Sector 2—their main force has appeared! The Long Void Corps is landing! Repeat, the Long Void Corps is landing!"

"Once casualties exceed twenty percent, immediately request reinforcements. This is Sister Lei's order—no battalion is allowed to fight to the death without permission!"

"Air force deploy, seize air superiority!"

Orders and information bulletins sounded continuously through the war medals. Cloud Peak's entire war machine was set in motion.

They were indeed not fully prepared, but they were only missing Piao Xiuying. Starting the battle now was not unacceptable.

On the sea beast side, although the Demon Whale was also waiting for its reinforcements to arrive, its numbers already overwhelmed the humans. Now that battle had begun, it would not avoid the fight.

Thus, the largest clash between humans and sea beasts erupted. The entire coastline was filled with energy. From above, the scene was like a blockbuster movie.

"Red Hair and the Undead Dragon Fish are to remain still for now. The air force is to be handed over to the deputy commander; Yangos will assist."

Xia Lei continued issuing orders. "Prepare the Loki Crosses!"

Although the Demon Whale had not yet appeared, Xia Lei knew the monster was in the nearby waters, waiting for the right moment to strike a devastating blow.

"Death King Tree and Yellow Ball have already entered the battle. Among the reserves, only Red Hair and the Undead Dragon Fish can harm the Demon Whale from the air and at range—isn't that too few?"

Guangyao voiced his concern.
