Chapter 275: Legendary Guild Mount
[Legendary Blueprint: Demon Slaying Ballista
Rank: Legendary
𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
Type: Guild Siege Weapon
Category: Anti-Demon Artillery
Description: A massive siege weapon engineered specifically for the extermination of powerful demons.
The Demon-Slaying Ballista combines advanced mechanical engineering with magical reinforcement, allowing it to launch enormous specialized bolts capable of penetrating the bodies and defenses of high-ranking demons.
Unlike ordinary siege weapons, the Demon-Slaying Ballista is designed around anti-demonic warfare.
Its frame is reinforced with mana-conductive materials, while its firing mechanism channels magical energy through the projectile at the moment of release.
Special Properties:
Demonbane Projectile: Deals greatly increased damage against Demons.
Armor Penetration: Specialized bolts can penetrate physical and magical defenses.
Mana Disruption: Successful hits disrupt the target’s mana circulation.
Long Range: Capable of engaging targets from extreme distances.
Magical Tracking: Can lock onto designated targets with sufficient mana signatures.
Siege-Class Power: Capable of damaging large monsters and fortified demonic structures.
Heavy Construction: Requires a stable foundation and specialized Guild facility to construct.
Ammunition: The Ballista can utilize specially manufactured Demon-Slaying Bolts.
Higher-grade materials can further increase penetration damage, mana disruption, purification, and elemental effects.
Limitation: The Demon-Slaying Ballista has a relatively slow firing cycle and requires substantial mana and specialized ammunition.]
Max’s eyes sparkled with excitement.
The Demon-Slaying Ballista was a siege weapon that, once mass-produced, would become one of the main terrifying weapons the Guild possessed against demons.
Max then summoned the blueprint and saw the materials needed to create the ballista.
Given that the ballista was considered a Legendary-rank weapon, the materials obviously required valuable resources.
Max fell into deep thought.
If I can present this to the Imperial Family, I hope they will be willing to work together with the Guild to mass-produce it.
Max was confident that the Imperial Family would sponsor the resources needed to mass-produce the Demon-Slaying Ballista.
The reason was simple.
The former Emperor was about to join the Guild.
The former Emperor had already visited Max and congratulated him, officially joining the Guild afterward.
Max then swiped past the Demon-Slaying Ballista to reveal the next reward.
He did it slowly, hearing only his heartbeat.
When the Demon-Slaying Ballista icon was swiped away, another icon appeared.
The icon was quite weird—at least four species, Max noticed, seemed to have been placed within a single icon.
A title below the icon made Max thrilled with excitement.
[Legendary Guild Mount Chest.
Description: A special Guild Chest containing four Legendary Mount Lineages established by the System. Each lineage possesses individuals ranging from E-Rank to S-Rank, with one S-Rank individual serving as the Prime Mount of each species.
The Demon Hunters Guild has received the following Legendary Mount Lineages:
- Demon Hunter Warhorse — 1 S-Rank, 100 A-Rank, 1,000 B-Rank, 10,000 C-Rank, 100,000 D-Rank, 1,000,000 E-Rank.
- Radiant War Gryphon — 1 S-Rank, 100 A-Rank, 1,000 B-Rank, 10,000 C-Rank, 100,000 D-Rank, 1,000,000 E-Rank.
- Demonbane War Mammoth — 1 S-Rank, 100 A-Rank, 1,000 B-Rank, 10,000 C-Rank, 100,000 D-Rank, 1,000,000 E-Rank.
- Arcane War Wyvern — 1 S-Rank, 100 A-Rank, 1,000 B-Rank, 10,000 C-Rank, 100,000 D-Rank, 1,000,000 E-Rank.
Each Legendary Mount Lineage is permanently registered to the Demon Hunters Guild and may be used by its authorized members.
The rank of each mount determines its overall physical capabilities, mana capacity, durability, and growth potential.
Each mount can grow alongside its master, gaining experience and developing its abilities as its master increases in strength.
The four species possess different specializations:
- Demon Hunter Warhorse — Ground cavalry, mobility, endurance, and mounted combat.
- Radiant War Gryphon — Aerial transportation, reconnaissance, and battlefield mobility.
- Demonbane War Mammoth — Heavy transportation, logistics, siege support, and battlefield endurance.
- Arcane War Wyvern — Aerial combat, magical offense, and high-speed assault.
The S-Rank individuals are designated as Prime Mounts and possess unique abilities unavailable to lower-ranked individuals.
The System has established the initial population of each lineage. The Guild may subsequently raise, breed, train, and develop the mounts according to the rules governing their respective species.
Guild members may claim an assigned mount through the Beast Taming Division. Once claimed, the mount is registered to the guild member for as long as they remain a member of the Demon Hunters Guild.
Every demon hunter receives access to a Guild Mount upon joining the Guild. The mount remains bound to the Guild and cannot be permanently removed from its ownership.
If a guild member leaves or is removed from the Demon Hunters Guild, their assigned mount will be automatically recalled by the System and returned to the Beast Taming Division.]
Max’s eyes widened.
His heart pounded.
Although the Lewis Guild received a Legendary Guild Mount in his past life as one of their Legendary Chest Rewards, the mere fact that the initial population already exceeded a million E-rank horses was an unprecedented number of mounts available to the Guild.
At the same time, the mounts would grow alongside their masters, meaning that even an E-rank mount, as long as it possessed a Legendary-rank bloodline, could grow to become an S-rank.
Unprecedented!
Extraordinary!
Wow!
Max’s eyes and mouth opened wide as he read the description again and again.
The value of the Legendary Rewards he had just received far surpassed that of the Anti-Demon Ballista blueprint.
After all, the blueprint was simply a guide for producing the Anti-Demon Ballista, while the mounts could be claimed instantly through the Beast Taming Division.
Suddenly, Max realized that the System was interfering too much in the game’s world.
As far as Max recalled, even the mounts in the Lewis Guild had been rewarded as eggs that needed to be hatched and bred over the years.
Yet the System suddenly said that the mounts could be easily claimed simply by going to the Beast Taming Division...
The System is interfering way too much.
Max disliked the idea of the System’s actions, as they were breaking the hyper-realism of the game.
It was as if the System didn’t care.
Max didn’t know whether it was a good thing or not.
But for him, it was a good thing, of course.
His sudden realization didn’t heavily spoil his celebration over the second reward he had received, as he proceeded to swipe past the second one to reveal the third reward...
