"You cheated on your wife with her half sister, and continuously abused her like she’s a rag for you to step on. You make me so sick I wish I could turn you into the very rags under my feet." April hissed but the words didn’t register to Johan. He only cared about the fact that a woman carrying his useless wife’s face had struck him.

"How dare you touch me?!" Johan roared, spit flying from his mouth as he thrashed in the chair. "I am the heir of the Le Moreno family! I’ll have you destroyed! I’ll—"

SLAP!

"Shut up," April flatly cut him off.

Johan choked on his own breath, his chest heaving violently, blood trickling from the corner of his swollen lip as he finally shut his mouth in sheer shock.

April’s hand stung from the hard slaps, but she didn’t even mind it. She was just so repulsed, so angry, so... This was not how she planned to spend this week at all.

She turned away from Johan without another word and walked over to Clara.

Clara flinched as April stopped before her, but her haughty, spoiled pride quickly flared back up. "What are you looking at, you crazy bitch?! I didn’t do anything! I didn’t spread my legs for anyone! You have no proof! You’re just making up stories!"

SLAP!

April didn’t bother listening to her yapping. She delivered a crisp, heavy slap to Clara’s cheek, shutting her up instantly.

Yes.

[Target Profile: Clara Gabriel]

[Historical Malice]: Systematically stole family funds and blamed Emily, resulting in Emily being starved for days as punishment. This occurrence has happened for years and no one questions it because Clara is the beloved daughter and Emily is just ignored.

[Calculated Ordeal]: Six months ago, she arranged for lower-sector thugs to kidnap Emily, resulting in severe physical and emotional trauma. Target subsequently pushed Emily down the grand staircase, fake-crying to frame Emily for assault, ensuring Victor locked Emily in the attic over and over again and delayed Beatrice’s medicine as punishment. Has been sleeping with Johan since the moment he had been arranged to become Emily’s husband all just to spite Emily and make her understand she can never own anything in her life.

[Hidden Plots]: Enticed Johan to discipline Emily on multiple occasions, knowing she was pregnant and even accused her of cheating on Johan, orchestrating public humiliations.

April stared at the blue text, a heavy, dark weight pressing against her chest. Emily hadn’t just been neglected—she had been ruthlessly tortured by this woman for years. And it wasn’t even on a small scale. It was large, so large that Madam Morgans’ punishments towards her seemed lighter.

And hers had just been for ten years but from the moment Victor brought his mistress into the family with his bastard daughter, Emily’s life had been thrown to hell.

"What are you staring at?!" Clara hissed through her tears, her face bruised from the slap. "Get away from me! I have connections! I’ll make sure you suffer for this! I’ll—"

April lifted her silver handgun, pressing the cold barrel directly against the center of Clara’s forehead.

Clara’s voice died in her throat. She went dead silent, cold sweat dripping down her neck.

"I feel so much like pulling this trigger right now," April murmured, her finger lightly hovering over the steel. "It is entirely uncharacteristic of me to lose my temper like this... but you are remarkably vile, Clara Gabriel. I can’t believe we share the same last name. It makes me sick."

The last name Gabriel never sat right with her. It made her uncomfortable so she never used it but she had been seeing the name so much recently that she just decided to let go of the weighing feeling it had on her heart.

Yet here... Right here were people who shared the same last name that she didn’t even remember how she got. And she wished that this name had been among the memories she lost.

Slowly, April lowered the gun. She wasn’t going to give Clara a quick death. She would deal with her specially later.

Forget building a bond, for some reason, she could already feel the hate and the need to avenge a sister she never knew and a mother she never met. The urge was so strong that she couldn’t explain it. Maybe it was karma, maybe it was fate, but she had no plans on fighting it.

Filth needed to be disposed of and she would volunteer herself to get the job done.

April moved to the third chair, standing before Victor Gabriel.

Victor looked up at her, tears of pure terror streaming down his weathered cheeks. "Y-You... you really are my lost daughter... Is it really you? Look, there’s a big misunderstanding here! We can sort this out! I’m your father! I know it!"

April looked at him with an expression of pure, unadulterated disgust. "I do not have a father. So whether we share blood or not, you are nothing more than a pathetic stranger to me. Now... let us see your misdeeds."

Yes.

[Target Profile: Victor Gabriel]

[Infidelity & Deceit]: Maintained a long-term affair with his secretary (Eleanor) while his first wife, Beatrice, was pregnant. Fathered Clara out of wedlock and hid her existence.

[Neglect & Complicity]: After bringing in his mistress and claiming her as his second wife, along with his bastard daughter, he continuously turned a blind eye to Eleanor’s abuse and poisoning of Beatrice. Actively favoured Clara while treating his biological daughter, Emily, like a servant to appease his second wife. He never once stood up for Clara and never tried to save his sick first wife. And he continues to cheat with other women outside the home. He is the bringer of trauma and unhappiness to his original family.

...

April scoffed, her voice dripping with absolute contempt. "Even the patriarch is pathetic. You cheated on your sick wife, brought a bastard child into her home, and watched passively while your original family was starved and beaten. You are a spineless, wicked bastard."

Victor choked on his own breath, hanging his head in utter shame and terror, unable to utter a single word of defense. But how did she know that? He never even told Beatrice that Clara was his biological daughter and claimed Eleanor’s husband was late.

This woman... What sort of information network was she using that was so accurate?

Finally, April walked past him, stopping directly in front of the fourth chair.

Eleanor sat bound to the wood, her face pale as chalk, her body trembling so violently the chair legs rattled against the marble floor. She looked up at April, seeing the exact face of the infant she had paid to have stolen more than twenty years ago.

April raised her eyes, her dark, unblinking gaze locking onto Eleanor’s trembling form.

"Now," April whispered, her voice cutting through the silent foyer like a final death sentence. "It is time to lay your secrets bare."
