Chapter 302: Overstuffed Lily
Without waiting another moment, Xavier hastily stood up, discretely adjusting his posture to hide the prominent bulge straining against his pants as he rushed out of the bedroom, shutting the door behind him.
Down the hallway, Xavier slammed his own bathroom door shut and locked it. He pressed his back flat against the cool wood, his chest heaving.
His breath was ragged, his hands trembling as he frantically unbuttoned his pants and freed his thick, throbbing penis. Grasping himself in his palm, Xavier began stroking up and down with rapid, desperate strokes. He squeezed his eyes shut, but all he could see was April lying beneath him, her chest exposed, her nipples warm in his mouth, and that sweet, breathy moan echoing in his ears as she called his name—until he finally spilled over his fingers with a low, shuddering groan.
Back in April’s bedroom, Samuel stepped forward with quiet, effortless grace. Picking up her blouse from where it rested, he handed it to her politely.
"How are you feeling, Miss April?" Samuel asked, his voice smooth, low, and perfectly composed.
April took the blouse, pulling it over her shoulders as a soft, genuine smile touched her lips. Looking up at him with clear, contented dark eyes, she murmured, "I feel wonderful. Thank you, Samuel."
Samuel flinched, his composure faltering for a second. But the next second, he bowed his head slightly, his eyes hidden behind the glint of his lenses.
"We shall end today’s lesson here, Miss April," Samuel replied softly. "Please get comfortable and rest well."
"Goodnight, Samuel," she whispered.
Samuel turned and quietly exited the room, pulling the door shut until it clicked softly in the silent hallway.
The moment he was alone in the quiet corridor, the mask finally cracked. April’s sated smile, the lingering echo of her high, sweet moans, and the sight of her flushed skin rushed back into his mind all at once.
Samuel’s broad shoulders trembled for a second. He leaned his back against her closed bedroom door and slowly slid down until he was resting on his knees against the carpet.
His fingers shoved deep into his neat hair, messing it up in rare disarray as his dark gaze dropped down to his own lap. Beneath his trousers, a heavy, painful swell pressed hard against the dark fabric—a physical testament to the dark, primal urges he had forced himself to suppress while watching her with another man.
Samuel swallowed hard, his throat working as a silent, agonizing wave of guilt and desire washed over him.
"I’m so sorry, Miss April..." he whispered into the empty hallway, his voice raspy and broken. "Forgive me."
The next morning, April woke up feeling exceptionally refreshed. She was practically glowing, looking as if she had taken a dip in a spring of revitalization—a direct result of the lingering satisfaction and lingering physical relief from the night before.
She walked down to the breakfast area, where Emily was sitting with the pets.
"You look like you’re glowing, sister," Emily noted with a smile, gently stroking Lily’s soft fur.
Rufus, who was strolling right next to her, perked his ears and trotted over, barking softly and padding towards April to get a hug from his owner.
"Hi there, Rufus. I haven’t been able to spend time with you these days, huh? You must miss me," April murmured smoothly, kneeling down to give the dog a affectionate pat. She then looked up at Emily, whose eyes were filled with unbridled curiosity. "Let’s just say I’m doing something new. Exploring new waters and getting satisfied."
Emily didn’t fully understand what that cryptic statement meant, but she had a strong hunch it was connected to how the men had been spending so much more time in April’s room ever since her fever. April really is a wild cat, Emily thought with a light chuckle to herself.
April caught her sister’s subtle expression and couldn’t help but wonder what wild theories were running through Emily’s head, though she kept her composure.
Her gaze then landed on Lily, who was curled up on the cushion, fast asleep. April tilted her head, noticing how still the little creature was.
"Has Lily been asleep for long?" April asked.
"Honestly, she’s always sleeping these days," Emily answered, sounding a bit puzzled as she looked down at the pet. "I don’t know what’s wrong with her. She doesn’t seem sick, but maybe we should take her to a vet soon just in case?"
April went quiet, her mind immediately whirring. A vet won’t be able to help her.
Lily wasn’t a normal animal; she was a mythical beast—a bad luck eater. The others had no idea about her true nature. Being a creature of high order, Lily couldn’t fall ill through mundane, ordinary means. If she was lethargic and sleeping constantly like this, it meant only one thing: she was overstuffed.
It was just like the time April had fed her that energy biscuits and overloaded her.
Lily was probably sleeping so much because she had consumed an immense amount of bad luck and was struggling to digest all that heavy, dark energy.
But whose bad luck has she been eating? April thought deeply, reviewing everyone around her. Has she been absorbing misfortune surrounding me, or someone else in this house?
Before she could dissect the thought any further, the sound of measured footsteps echoed down the hall. Samuel walked up to them, impeccably dressed and composed as always.
"Miss April, Miss Emily," Samuel announced in his smooth, steady register. "We are ready to head out now."
Remembering everything that had transpired the previous night, April felt a faint, subtle tingly sensation stir in her chest. Her face didn’t flush—she was far too grounded for that—but she casually brushed a lock of hair behind her ear to mask the slight shift in her energy.
"All right," April said, nodding. "Let’s go."
As they began to move toward the doors, April realized someone was missing. She paused and looked at Samuel. "Is Xavier down yet?"
"Master Reed has departed ahead of us," Samuel replied smoothly, adjusting the bridge of his glasses.
April raised an eyebrow. Normally, Xavier would never head to the venue alone without waiting to accompany her. Maybe he had some urgent business to take care of beforehand, she reasoned.
In all honesty, Xavier was actively avoiding her out of sheer, overwhelming embarrassment after his explosive breakdown in his bathroom the night before. But regardless of his lingering bashfulness, they couldn’t afford to split up their group dynamic for too long—it would only make things unstable.
The cooking competition proceeded in full swing. When the final scores were tallied for the evening, Renzo came out on top once again, reclaiming his dominant position. Philippe’s victory from the previous day proved to be a short-lived surge, though he still placed remarkably high.

As the crowds began to disperse from the grand arena, Emily suddenly grabbed April’s hand, holding it tight. She looked at April deeply and with utter seriousness.
April blinked, taken aback by her sister’s unusually intense gaze. "What? What happened?"
