Clatter.

The heavy steel plate in front of the Fire-breathing Zombie lifted up, revealing a face akin to an Evil Spirit Rider. Its eye sockets were hollow, containing no eyeballs, replaced by two burning flames. As its mouth opened and closed, wisps of fire seeped out from between its lips.

As the obstruction in front was removed, almost without delay, a fire dragon roared out from the cargo box, and even the surrounding air began to distort, fiercely charging towards the approaching robust Zombie!

The situation was exactly as Zhang Su expected. Among the five Zombies, one slightly shifted its position. If it rushed into the crowd, it could completely avoid the threat of flames. But foolishly, it chose to rush towards the heat source as if it held some beloved treasure. Originally, it wouldn’t have been burned, but it walked right into its demise...

As it lunged towards the opening of the cargo box, the fierce flames forced its robust body to stagger back two or three steps, showcasing the intensity of the fire breathed by the Flaming Zombie.

As the flames erupted, people from afar could see the entire posture of the cargo box had changed. The previously steady vehicle tilted to one side, enduring tremendous force.

It’s no exaggeration to say the cargo box resembled a crude rocket engine nozzle. According to Newton’s third law, with a slight modification, the vehicle could run without fuel...

Seeing five dark figures struggling to move within the flames, Zhang Su heaved a great sigh of relief. He had already prepared for battle but did not expect the situation to turn favorable, thinking to himself: Brainless ones are easier to handle!

Whoosh!

The wild flames were even more ferocious than they had been in Beidong Town, and even with five robust bodies blocking the flames, the tail flame had already shot out over forty meters. The Zombie corpses that had been lying on the ground were all ignited, with clusters of slightly lighter flames undulating within the fire dragon.

In an instant, the street and the section of the road leading to the community gate transformed into a fiery purgatory!

The high temperatures of the flames not only ignited the corpses but also slowly melted the metal barriers. A few four to five-meter-tall landscape trees were instantly set ablaze, burning like torches of hope.

"No matter how many times you watch it, it never gets old."

"Incredible! If we all had a flamethrower like this, the Zombies would be nothing!"

"It’s not hard to get a flamethrower. It’s the energy source that’s the problem. This Fire-breathing Zombie defies all rules, it’s too powerful!"

The combat personnel gathered on the other side of the vehicle all felt their spirits lifted. The raging flames drove back the disaster, and the surging heat waves swept over them repeatedly. Instead of feeling parched, they felt exhilarated.

"Weren’t they supposed to keep the Mutated Zombie locked up, is this the Zombies’ attack?"

"I don’t know, it seems like some sort of weapon."

"It’s the Mutated Zombie. Didn’t you hear the Zombies howling earlier? They said Flaming Zombie, it’s such a fitting term!"

All the Ordinary Members who had fled further away were dumbfounded. They were told not to approach the van, else they’d get burned, knowing there was a Mutated Zombie locked inside. They had all sorts of guesses but couldn’t confirm anything. Even now, witnessing it firsthand, they still couldn’t easily believe it.

A fire-breathing Mutated Zombie!

The sight before them made many people’s scalps tingle, quickly linking it to the deal Zhang Su discussed with Absolute Justice earlier. If it wasn’t for the madman in Absolute Justice throwing a grenade, they might have been purified by the flames, turned into a pile of white ashes...

Zhang Su sat in the car, feeling the scorching heat through the glass. Sweat slid down his forehead, but he didn’t care at all, his eyes fixed on the five black silhouettes dancing wildly in the flames.

Their physiques were indeed robust, at least stronger than the hollow metal fences. They withstood the blaze for ten seconds without falling, and not only that, they attempted to push forward, trying to break through the fire blockade...

Fortunately, this persistence didn’t last long. In just over twenty seconds, the massive bodies finally succumbed to the burning, one after another. Until the last Zombie fell, Zhang Su’s hands, gripping the chain tightly, did not relax.

The situation before him made him realize one thing. If he encounters these robust Zombies again in the future, ordinary flames shouldn’t be used to embarrass oneself. Things like incendiary grenades or firewalls would not kill them and might even ignite the robust Zombies, potentially sending them into a berserk state, the consequences of which are unimaginable.

Unless you can continuously output high-energy flames like the Fire-breathing Zombie, otherwise it’s meaningless...

The fire continued to erupt until the robust Zombies no longer resembled humanoid shapes, and once they were refined into a mass, Zhang Su finally released his grip.

Clatter, boom.

The chain slid, and the heavy steel plate fell, a sound like putting out furnace fires echoed inside the cargo box. The spewing flames extinguished, and the Fire-breathing Zombie’s furious roar subsided, finding peace after releasing its energy, as if entering a sage mode.

About a minute of flame spraying did not visibly weaken the crimson patterns on its body.

Piles of fire littered the road, with the cement pavement scorched and discolored, looking so fragile. The landscape trees burned swiftly, snapping in the middle, before falling to the ground and continuing to burn.

An extraordinary victory, the threat turned into a warm bonfire, bringing a trace of warmth to the survivors in the cold winter. Everyone’s hearts surged with excitement.

"We won, we were saved..."

Boom... Boom boom!

Just as everyone was about to celebrate their overwhelming victory, a rumble sounded. A section of the community’s perimeter wall suddenly collapsed, followed by a black shadow bursting through the shattered bricks at an incredible speed!
