Apocalypse: the Most Ruthless Person

Laughter seems to naturally conflict with the apocalypse, as if any small hint of joy will be mercilessly stripped away.

The relaxed mood of the combat personnel infected the ordinary members, and just when everyone was taking this snowfall lightly, something was about to happen!

Bang, bang, bang...

Upstairs was lively, but suddenly, there came a series of rapid banging sounds from downstairs, echoing through the empty mall, causing it to go silent.

As people stopped talking, the door-knocking sounds became even more intense, as if they were set on breaking the door down.

Everyone looked at each other in confusion, without associating the violent banging with those ordinary zombies. In their minds, even if zombies wandered near the mall, they were just a ragtag bunch; they’d wait until in a good mood and then with weapons easily deal with them.

But things weren’t as they thought. Had zombies come knocking on the door themselves?

"That sound seems to be coming from the back door, the front is all glass doors!"

As if specifically answering Yuwen’s query, a chorus of zombie howls rose and fell.

"Zombies have broken through the back door, there are zombies!"

"Everyone run, get upstairs quickly, the zombies are nuts, jumping all around!"

Simultaneously, the scattered cries of people echoed, chilling screams, items knocked over by sprinting forms, frantic pleas for help, turning the mall into utter chaos!

Most combat personnel were gathered on the third floor, with core members on the fourth. The sudden upheaval left everyone exchanging bewildered looks.

Normally, there weren’t many people on the first floor, but today was different, with earlier activities happening there, leaving quite a few people lingering.

These individuals became the first targets of zombie attacks!

"Jumping all around! How the hell are they jumping all over now?"

Pan Guoliang immediately seized on the keyword, looking gravely at the Yama Corps members.

Lu Yubo scratched his head, "How can zombies jump?"

"Of course, they’ve been enhanced, my Brother Bo!" Wu Lue, though somewhat lustful, wasn’t stupid, quickly catching on.

"Didn’t notice any change before, didn’t expect them to be enhanced..."

Zhang Ya pressed her lips tight, worried for herself and for Wang Xin who was outside.

Yuwen froze at the word enhancement, then reacted immediately, knowing disorder had to be avoided, and began issuing orders.

Li Zongkai didn’t forget Zhang Su’s directive, striving to assist Yuwen.

As Wu Baokang went to turn on the lights, combat personnel from both the Lego Branch and Civilization Guardian, who hadn’t disarmed, began moving, the rapid thudding of their footsteps inducing intense tension.

The few Yama Corps members were battle-ready at the first sound of door banging, although few in number, they were in fine form.

With a thud, a beam of thick light descended from above. The high-powered spotlight lit up, its light concentrated, yet people could still glimpse the havoc on the first floor through the diffracted light!

Due to the viewing angle, only about twenty zombies were visible ravaging the area, their speed far surpassing that of previous ordinary zombies. Simple obstacles were no match for them, charging through like a mad beast pouncing on each survivor, followed by a vicious bite to the neck, utterly brutal.

The distance between the floors of the four-story mall was significant, equivalent to the height of a six-story apartment building, so even separated by such a distance, everyone could feel the zombies’ bloodlust and frenzy. If they hadn’t seen the zombies come downstairs earlier, they would never have believed they were the same species.

"These zombies... are they on drugs?"

Wu Lue couldn’t help but click his tongue, his combat prowess in the Yama Corps stationed at Lego Mall placed him at the bottom; seeing the zombies sprinting sent shivers down his spine.

"Whether or not the zombies are on drugs, I feel like I need some to fight them..." Liu Tianji said with a dark humor.
