Apostle of the Gods

34 Loose sheep

Rosetta's footsteps are slow but not lost.

The demon bear's footprints are almost gone. But I'm guessing Rosetta has certainty.

Perhaps you benefit from your abilities, or skills, by being spoiled by the hunting god.

"Hmm? Guys, look at this. Wolf, that's also the footprint of the Wolf."

".................. I can't tell at all"

"I can't tell."

And Alty was snorting silently yeah yeah.

After careful observation, it is enough to realize that the ground may be faintly snagged.

"It may be hard for anyone who isn't a hunter to understand, but this is the footprint of a demon wolf."

"I mean, the Demon Wolf took the sheep from the Demon Bear?

"Maybe. Because if you're a herd, the Wolf can cross with the Bear."

Rosetta now tracks the footprints of the Demon Wolf.

Moving on for a while, Rosetta stopped her leg.

"Weird. The sheep's footprints won't go away."

"Hmm? Explain it to me in detail"

"The sheep who strayed from the shepherds must have fled the bears."

Ten detached ones are easier to hunt than forty protected by shepherds and shepherd dogs.

That's why the demon bear went after ten bears.

Then along the way a bunch of demon bears and demon wolves fought and demon wolves won.

Now the demon wolf will attack the sheep.

"From a bunch of demon wolves, it's easy to hunt sheep without guardians."

I'm not familiar with sheep, but I have a lot of experience fighting demon wolves.

Very quick and powerful demon. Rosetta's right. There won't be a herd of sheep or anything like that.

"The sheep's footprints are being chased by the wolves, so let's just say they're neat."

"So you're running away with ten heads together, huh?

"That's the thing...... Hold on, maybe not."

"Hmm?"

"... there are eleven heads"

"Not incorrectly counted?

"Because I've checked many times. No mistake."

There's no way there are more sheep while the demon wolves are chasing us.

It is more realistic to think that shepherds have miscounted than to think that sheep will increase.

Nevertheless, it is hard to even think that the shepherd, who is an expert, can count it wrong.

Further, I saw a large cave. The entrance is bigger than the Devil's Bear's Nest.

"Looks like the sheep's footprints are going on in there."

"What's the Devil Wolf's footprint?

"I'm trying to hunt sheep, but it doesn't seem to be working"

Suffer from understanding what's going on.

That seems to be the same for the hunter Rosetta. Obviously confused.

"Hmm? Rosetta. You mean the sheep escaped into the cave without being eaten by a wolf?

"That's right, Teena. You may not believe it, but I just think it is."

"I believe in Rosetta. You're my friend!

"I believe, too"

"Teena, Alti. Thanks!"

Rosetta seems so happy to be told she believes.

"I'll get ahead of you, I'll get to the entrance to the cave and find out. I wonder if you really have sheep."

"Oh, be careful"

Carefully Rosetta approaches the cave.

When the distance to the cave was about a meter, a white shadow popped out of the cave.

"Wow."

Rosetta flies back with a quick figure of her own. But the white shadow is faster.

Rosetta was blown away about three meters as it was.

"It hurts."

He seemed to have a proper passivity, not a big scratch.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah!

The white shadow rang forcefully in front of the fallen rosetta.

I said, "Stay away from here! Somehow I figured out that you were saying."

"Sheep, perhaps?

"No, you're a goat"

He is about 0,5 meters tall. The corners of my forehead are also small. The exterior is just a white kid goat.

But the movement was unusual.

Even though Rosetta's appearance was considerable, she showed it without difficulty with a head poke.

It is obvious that it is not just a child goat.

"I can't believe what I did missaw the footprints of sheep and goats..."

Rosetta seems shocked.

But both sheep and goats have two hoof marks. As far as I'm concerned, I don't really understand the difference.

"You can't help but look at the footprints that nearly disappeared. The footprints of sheep and goats are very similar."

"Again, I have no idea what's different."

That's what Teena said, and Alty was silently nodding yeah.

I ask the child goat.

"... you were protecting the sheep from the demon wolves?

"Meh."

Apparently so for a child goat to say.

"I've never talked about it."

Rosetta is confused.

I spoke gently to the child goat.

"We were asked by the village where the sheep lived to come and exorcise the wolves and bears."

"Meh?

The goat apparently said, "Aren't you the enemy? He seemed to hear."

"I'm not the enemy. The bear was defeated. If the sheep are alive, I want to take them all back to the village alive."

"Meh."

Apparently you figured it out. The child goat went into the back of the cave.

And bring back ten sheep.

"Wow, really ten heads, they're all alive!

Rosetta is impressed.

We were able to recover the precious property of a poor village that was thought to have already been lost.

I'm sure the villagers will be pleased.

"It's hard to fight while protecting the sheep, and I want to get the sheep back to the village before the werewolf exorcises, okay?

"I think it would be a good Rosetta operation!

Teena agrees with Rosetta as she strokes the sheep around with joy.

Alty was nodding silently, yeah, as he stroked the sheep around, too.

Meanwhile, the child goat gently presses a ton of forehead around my thigh.

He's in a good mood because his tail is shaking boom with tremendous momentum.

I stroke my baby goat.

"You, could it be a god beast?

"Meh?

The child goat says, "What is it? I felt like I was asking."

It's just like Lunlun or Fulful to know what you're trying to say just because you hear the ringing.

Probably must be a god beast. I met the Divine Beast unexpectedly.
