Arafoo Otoko no Isekai Tsuuhan Seikatsu

Episode 15 The Owner of the National Castle

There was a nice log house-style cabin, so I bought it and it was an assembly kit.

I don't know what you're talking about - no, it's supposed to be cheap. I really thought it would be cheap to have such a fine hut for 1.7 million yen.

But what are we gonna do about this?

Sure, I've done a lot of research to build a log house...

What are you going to do with this? I can't do this alone.

"Hah...."

He sighed unexpectedly and entered the scene. But when I think calmly - speaking of heavy machinery, what about one or two of the beams?

You can hang it in the bucket and lift it.

Anyway, let's read the assembly manual.

"Hmm...."

I read the instructions.

Well, the structure is like a normal log house. Build walls with stacked boards to support the roof. So there are no thick pillars.

Wall boards are not logs like real log houses, but regular boards.

A normal house has an exterior wall and an interior wall in the room, but this is one board outside.

The point is, because you can't make walls by building big boards, you can make large boards by arranging thin boards.

Beams and other structures are collections of plates, and no thick materials are used. With this, we might be able to assemble it by ourselves.

"We've come this far, we'll have to do it. I already bought it...."

Once again, when I read the instructions, I got to work.

First, check the materials.

"Ah! The window glass is cracked!

Of course, the glass fits in the window frame that came down with it, but one of them is broken.

Fortunately, one of the three window frames broke. The bottom right of the window glass in the shape of a field is broken.

What the fuck? The person in charge is coming out! Of course, no one comes out and I don't want to return the product.

I don't see any returns on my site. I am sending it to other worlds for service, so should I do something about it?

I don't know if the service is good or bad.

I had to repair it, but I couldn't find a single thin sheet of glass for the window at Shangri-La.

Although there is sheet glass, there seems to be a lot of thick tempered glass used for shelves and the like.

Uh-huh

There is no sheet glass, but there is an acrylic board - can I use an acrylic board at this time? Buy an acrylic board for 1000 yen and cut it with a cutter to match the window frame.

Glass is a type in which a rubber frame is used to fit. By the way, I used to live in the countryside in an old-fashioned wooden frame.

Use a small nail about 1cm to secure the wood frame. I don't sell that kind of stuff anymore.

Certainly said glass nails - searching the glass nails with Shangri-La won't come out, but there's probably no demand for them now.

There was even a small tonkatsu at my parents' house dedicated to knocking glass nails, and the glass was often broken, so there was also a glass cut.

The tip of the glass cutter is diamond - it reminds me of when I was a kid with my eyes shining when I was talking about a wolf poop.

Speaking of which, I no longer see a house with cracks on the glass and taping.

No, it's not like I'm immersed in such nostalgia.

After repairing the windows, we lined up a bunch of concrete stones on the ground, and on top of them, we lined up the timber underneath the cabin in a square - the walls on top of it.

There are 10 boulders on one side. Height must be adjusted so that there is no gap between the bottom lumber.

I bought a leveler at Shangri-La and the leveling is also neat.

Then, stack the boards. The ingredients are cut into pieces, which are combined and stacked upwards.

I had a little difficulty putting it up high - first, I put three stepladders in line. On top of that, use a power shovel to lift up a bundle of plates - for once.

Then I continued the work of building the wall.

You don't need nails because you can just put the wall plate on. However, since there is a gap, coking agents and the like will be necessary.

The plate is small and numbered. If you assemble it according to the assembly manual, there is no mistake.

― ― A week passed while placing a stall on the market.

Next is the floor.

Place the grid-shaped object on the floor with the plate vertically. Problems gradually began to arise from around here. We need to fine-tune the ingredients.

For example, there are things that are a little too long to get in. I bought a cutting machine and a round saw to handle this.

Naturally, electricity is needed to move the tool, so the diesel generator is left out. I didn't expect this guy to be so effective.

Once the lattice fits on the floor, place the plywood on top of it. Then, a lattice is placed on top of the lattice and an insulation material is placed between the lattices.

On top of that, put up the floorboards and the floor will be finished.

The walls are single-structure, but the floors are double-structured in this way. In fact, if this is not the case, it is likely that the cold air from the floor will rise considerably.

This world doesn't seem so cold, so this will be fine.

I bought a nail gun because it was troublesome to nail it in the middle of this work. Nail guns cost about 3,000 yen, and nails cost 1,000 yen for 2,000 pieces - cheap.

However, we need air to use the nail gun. Nail guns require a corresponding high-pressure compressor, so I bought them for 100,000 yen.

But I bought it - I can only think of a way to use it with nail guns.

Well, if you put it in the item box, you won't have any trouble.

If I bought these tools, the cabin would normally be full, but I don't have any trouble because of the item box.

― ― About a week has passed since the floor was finished.

Now it's the roof.

Plate the building block (munagi) to the center of the roof - the highest part of the roof. From there, hang the sapling tree with the plate vertically as if it were a stick.

Once it's done, stick the plywood on top of it. Then, when the board is finished tensioning, put on a black waterproof sheet and stop.

Use a big stapler named Tucker to paste the sheet. When you hold the handle with your hand, a staple-like needle is thrown into you.

The price was about 1,500 yen and it was cheap - but if I was wearing this carrot, my hands would soon get tired and throw it away.

I wonder if you can do this kind of thing, and if you search with a tucker, you're selling a great item like a battery tucker. I bought this for 6000 yen.

"Mecha, easy!

Simply push the trigger button and the dondon needle will come in. Wow.

However, I bought it, but when this work is finished, there seems to be no other use. This must also increase the weight of the item box.

Apply roofing to the last finish of the roof.

Plates overlap each other, armoring them, but it's difficult to stick them neatly at equal intervals...

First of all, as a painter, I can't stand being nasty, so I twist my head a little.

It was decided to temporarily fix the roof plates so that they were equidistantly spaced on both sides and on the top of the roof and to stretch the yarns sideways. If you use this yarn as a guide, it will stick beautifully at equal intervals.

Paste it quickly. Stick dong dong. Nail guns work great here too. I don't know when it will end if I tap you with a tonkatsu like this.

If you're a professional carpenter, you'll nail it out of your mouth and push it into the rhythm, but you can't possibly imitate me as an amateur.

In general, nails are hard to hit straight. If I bend it, I have to use nailing to remove it.

Nail guns are more convenient than that.

When the roof plate is finished attaching the cover to the top of the roof, it is finished.

The name of this cover is unknown, but in the assembly manual, it is simply a triangulation of the plate.

I decided to do a little extra machining. I put a waterproof sheet on it, and I put more boards on it. That would be perfect.

It doesn't seem like there's going to be a lot of rain around here like in Japan, and this shouldn't be a problem.

It took about a month for convenience, but even an amateur of mine managed to complete the shape of the house.

Well, even if I was an amateur, I was DIY in the countryside, so I've used most of the tools and I've been through the workmanship.

But I've never assembled such a big thing. What I'm doing is not so different from assembling bookshelves...

When I look at the houses that have been built, I feel like I can build even bigger ones myself, and I get a big feeling.

Completed is a splendid log house hut on a square site. But it's more a house than a cabin.

The site is square, but the structure lacks a corner of the building. And that part has a front door and a deck in front of it.

The form is complete - there is still work to be done. The deck must be pasted with a board and window frames must be fitted.

Yes, the deck will also need handrails. But first, we need to paint the walls and roofs.

The deck and entrance are quite high, so we also need stairs to get up there.

Hands-free stairs make it easy and easy to build. You can buy and stack concrete blocks from Shangri-La.

But I don't look emotional or shit. Let's recreate it with thick boards or something.

Now, let's prioritize the work ahead - the window frames, after all.

Fit the window frame in the room to the wall. There are three locations, but they are wooden windows, not aluminum sashes.

The window frame has a nostalgic screw-in key, but even if you put a splendid key on a window like this, it will be broken and finished, so it will be a simple one.

Attach the door to the front door. The cabin was built in the style of a log house, but with windows and doors, it became like a house all at once.

There are cottages and other small buildings in the villa and sightseeing areas, but it's like that in Moro. It is cheap if it is 1.7 million yen.

Of course (of course), this kind of thing is expensive, and if you ask a carpenter for it, it must cost about 5 million yen.

I built a small cottage made of tongue at my parents' house, but they said it cost 2 million yen at that time.

When you go up the stairs made of concrete blocks and enter the room, there are 12 tatami mats available inside. Naturally, there is nothing in such a room.

No kitchen, no toilet, free box. However, it would be possible to install a sink and build a kitchen. Any specification is what you want.

I'm going to stay here from today. Before you do that, stick a flooring to fix the killing floor.

For this reason, simple flooring materials are sold to Shangri-La. It is a black floor that looks like sandalwood, but it is made of resin with a seal.

If you peel off the protective sheet and stick it on the floor like a sticker, the flooring will be finished in no time.

And lay therein cheap carpets, and put thereon a bed.

I got confused about the bed, but I bought a [natural snow bed] for 16,000 yen.

And the mattress is 5,000 yen, the duvet is 6,000 yen, and the duvet is 10,000 yen.

Quickly, jump into the fresh bed.

"Whoa, it's a shark!"

Lie down and look at the ceiling. Of course, since there is no ceiling plate, the beam peels out.

Of course (of course), you can also make a ceiling if you stick a ceiling plate, or you can make a former world-class house if you stick an inner wall and a wallpaper.

But this one looks like slow life, so I decided to go like this.

"That's right, there's no light..."

In the meantime, install the gasoline lantern on the beam and light it up. The color of the wood illuminated by the light of the lamp feels good...

But when you use electricity, you have to do wiring work. What about electricity?

That diesel generator is annoying, so even if you replace it with a quieter type, it will cost you gas and kerosene...

It feels good to build a water wheel in the river, install a generator, and recharge the battery - never steal it.

Can we use solar panels and wind turbines to charge the battery here?

The sun comes in quite a bit by daytime, but the sunshine time is a little short. Can you generate electricity by arranging a few solar panels?

Well, can I try something?

When I lay on my bed and looked at the wall with my head bothered by the electrical work, I could see the light from the gap - that's all there was to it.

We have to fill the gap in the wall with coking agent and paint it.

Search Shangri-La for silicone acrylic paint. This is the same one that was painted on the roof of my house.

It is waterproof and plays water. This is it.

The walls and roofs should be brown. And the window frame is white. Hmm, I wonder if the board on the front of the house looks nice white... I'm worried.

There's still plenty to do.

------◇◇◇------

--Then, another month later.

My house is finished.

The whole house is painted in brown with white doors and windows.

A 10 m x 10 m field space was built next to the house, and a fence was built to surround the site. The pile was expensive to buy at Shangri-La, so I cut down the Athikochi tree along the river and made it myself.

Piles and fences are coated with preservatives purchased by Shangri-La.

And around the fence is yellow and orange marigold. This can be used to repel insects.

I bought an insect repellent magic stone, but the effect range is not too wide, so I tried planting this yellow flower because it is unlikely to cover the field.

This world could be genetically contaminated, but if it doesn't work, let's pull it out.

The bath moved to adjust the position and enlarged the pot mouth. Because of this, I had to put the drum in a high place.

I couldn't lift it with my hands, so I bought a book with balls hanging at Shangri-La and studied a little.

Fixed using a power shovel on a stacked concrete block.

Then, create a platform with stairs around the drum bath to improve access and egress during bathing.

It is surrounded by boards and easily roofed on top. Although no one has seen it, it is not good for mental health if it is completely visible.

However, bathing is quite comfortable and occasional bathing days are progressive.

A pipe is also provided to be used as an auxiliary function for this purpose. Also, the snow in the drum was fixed with a plastic chair, and when I got out of the bath, I set it as a stepping stone.

Of course, it can also be used as a chair for sitting in the bath.

I made a kitchen with a sink in the back of the room, but I didn't make shelves or anything like that. Because it can store everything in an item box.

In addition, sewage was changed from the original plan. Half-cut drums were sold for 10,000, so I bought two of them to make a sedimentation tank.

Heavy bubbles precipitate on the top of the stair-like half-cut drum and the supernatant falls on the bottom.

How beautiful would it be to have water stones here to purify it? In the meantime, there are many things you don't understand that you don't try.

If the headlands accumulate, they will be taken to a composting space in one corner of the site for processing.

Occasionally stirring the compost is difficult, but you can do it with a power shovel.

Plastic containers and Western-style toilets are installed nearby, and huts are built around them to create roofed isolation spaces.

It doesn't look like the original world toilet. The lid of the toilet closes, so flies and insects can also be shut out.

The toilet is small - for some reason, if it's a big place or an open place, it's restless and there's nothing left.

Is excretion still defenseless and a remnant of what was once an animal that wanted to do in hiding?

Of course (of course), this accumulated manure is also composted and recycled. And grow the crop with that compost.

This is slow life.

But I'm a little scared to use this toilet at night.

Electricity was a concern, but three more trees in the woods were cleared for clearance. There were 20 solar cells arranged for 10,000 yen each.

Since it seems that the amount of electricity generated per sheet is 50w, the output is 1kw for 20 sheets. I also bought a battery.

I bought a mobile battery with a charging function rather than a car. The price is 45,000 yen per car.

In this case, it is possible to charge the battery directly by connecting it to the solar cell without using the charging/discharging controller. I bought three of these and decided to use them alternately.

And make up for the lack of this battery with a gasoline generator.

Even if it is used, the only thing that needs electricity is the lights in the room. We found that using LEDs for light bulbs consumes less power and can be used as much as this.

I don't want a TV or anything like that because I just want to watch a video using Shangri-La.

However, I often want to drink cold drinks so I bought a small mobile refrigerator. This is because it can be connected directly to 12V without boosting the pressure.

If you want a little more power, you can cut down more trees and increase the number of solar cells.

After the castle was completed, my worldly slow life, which became the lord of the castle, began.
