Armed Summoners - Black Spears and the Brave Men of the Other World

Episode XVII: The Trump Card of the Youth King

Maldar is a city located northeast of Gandion, the king's capital.

The scale was second only to Gandion, and once vibrant as a city that formed the core of Gandia, but yesterday the situation wiped out enthusiasm and hustle from the big city after Wang Capital.

Apparently, the shock that the death of Yingjie Taru's predecessor had on a small country called Gandhia was not a great deal.

That was due in part to the lack of hope on the part of Leongando, the first prince and rightful heir to the throne, many of whom did not publicly declare that the country would perish if Leongando succeeded to the throne.

And the rumor of those people blowing is something you can't fool around with either.

Various rumours flew from the lack of roots and leaves that the death of the predecessor was due to Leongand's poisoning to succeed the throne, to some genuineness, such as Leongand's preference for liquor color and a fuss at the midnight feast, not only within Gandia, but also to the surrounding countries.

Did the popularity of Leongando, which was less prestigious than the original, fall to the bottom of the earth as a result?

Depends.

Setuna was beginning to be anxious to see if her choice was right to fulfill. Besides, I know it's not good. I just said something, and there's nothing I can do. I've made up my mind. I've come to Mardar.

Yes, Setuna was currently in front of the huge main entrance to Mardar with the alias of the fortified city. Right in front of him was Leongando Ray-Gandia's elegant figure, and next to Setuna's right was Faria-Belfaria, dressed in her travelling attire.

Leaving Karan and continuing to be rocked by the carriage for a few days. It was hard to say that it was ever comfortable on the road, but Setsuna also had a lot to gain. The numerous pieces of information told from the mouths of Leongand and Faria, although not entirely rememberable, would undoubtedly be a great harvest for Setuna.

It's stupid about this world, and Setsuna, who knows nothing about this country, was thankful for just a little information.

Among other things, the story about the current situation in Gandhia and the deterioration of the situation surrounding it was enough to cloud Leongando's smile somewhat, which gave the impression that the ship on which Setuna had gone was in all likelihood a sinking mudboat.

Therefore Setuna had to have a brittle mind somewhere, even on a robust wall that stood high.

Leongando has asked insignificantly whether he has perceived Setuna's mood like that.

"Are you nervous?

"Well, well, well."

"Ha ha. You should be honest."

To the words of the youth king, who did not even know if he meant it, Setuna turned her attention to Pharia. Wrapped around her dark green coat, she smiled back gently as she noticed this glance. Faria's smile dispels Setuna's anxiety to some extent.

Faria was the only one who could count on Setsuna without stopping by to be intimate with something.

We have to go back a few days.

Early in the morning, the three of them cut up their stand-up on Karan's Boulevard and took their legs to the tent where Setsuna had been using the same bedroom.

So what Leongand has suggested was that Setuna accompany him to Mardar.

"Me too? Why?"

Setuna inquired somewhat, with surprise and excitement, at the proposal of the Youth King, who sat tight as if sitting on the throne on a simple sleeping table. That must be an offer you don't even wish for.

Without purpose and goal, I get dizzy just thinking about it, like wandering the earth of another world, without even something to guess at.

It is not a sane shack, such as walking around an unknown world without any preliminary knowledge. Setsuna is not an adventurer exploring an untapped continent. Though recognised by the Phalia and the others as armed summoners, he is still just a student as an individual.

"You must be amnesiac, aren't you? I guess I even forgot why I'm in Gandhia and what it's all about?

Setuna also found that a mischievous glow lurked in the midst of the youth king. Setsuna nodded vaguely at the look on her face when she said it was a prospect.

"Yes Desquedo..."

(I can barely... that)

Setsuna asked him how Faria was feeling, feeling backwards. She was clapping her shoulders, thinking it was a good idea. Regardless, Faria must have seen through it, too, that it was a lie testimony. It's an inaccurate lie. It's even weirder not to be seen through.

In the first place, did Setuna need to fool amnesia, or not?

Setsuna simply did not consider it a good idea for the fact that she was summoned from another world to reveal herself. No, even if I said that, like the testimony of amnesia, I might not have believed it.

Whatever, as a setuna, it was just a lie to get past the occasion, with no other intentions or malice.

Nevertheless, it was true that Setuna had no idea why she was in Gandhia or what she was aiming for.

"Then you can come to me. Between until I get my memory back. Between remembering the purpose. Can you wield that power that brought down Lancaine for me?

The words, spun from Leongand's mouth, sounded comfortably in Setuna's ears, and instantly penetrated his heart. It shook the soul of a boy named Setuna in the next moment, an explosive impulse, and a vibrant light dyed his consciousness.

(What...!?

Confused by the gushing flurry of emotions, Setuna was noticing herself undisturbed from the eyes of the youth king in front of her. It was a powerful trick. I'm never saying it out of my mouth, a gaze so pure that it convinces me so.

Setsuna, once again, understood.

(Right. Right)

While I recognize why I remember the emotion so far, the cause of it, I can't even think of any help stopping the wave of emotion that shakes my body. We have no choice but to entrust ourselves to the turbulence of joy, keeping our eyes and eyes on Leongand.

Joy.

Yes, that was definitely a great pleasure for him.

"I need your help in Gandhia's new life."

"Oh......!

In response to Leongand's offer, Setsuna uttered an impressively high voice.

Well, Maldar.

The three of them got out of the carriage in front of the main entrance for a reason.

Normally, every carriage is allowed in through the main entrance, but Mardar has been cautious about deviating from all the tracks here, doing luggage inspections, and had to get out of the carriage.

Most of all, the soldiers at the gatekeeper, who realized it was His Majesty on board, were so terrified that they were watching.

And with Leongando's suggestion that he hated getting time to inspect the carriage, he was going to walk through the city of Mardar.

Through the main entrance with extreme vigilance and stepping into the fortified city of Maldar, Setuna was enough to forget to breathe in the pressing air filled with the walls.

Maldar was a city so large that it could not be compared to Karan. Surrounded by thick, huge walls on all sides, on the inside, there are still robust buildings that remind us of Castle Fort. It will never be my fault that most of them are armed soldiers who cross the street and look like they are killing each other somewhere.

The atmosphere was about to start a war.

"This is the front line, hey"

Understanding the meaning of Leongand's words, Setuna was also convinced of this air, which was likely to clog her breath. It is also a story heard in the carriage. That's why I had to turn this Maldar into a fortress.

Further north of Mardar, once said to be the iron wall of Gandia, was the fortress of Barcei, which has prevented invasions from the north over the years. As long as there was that fortress, Gandia could hardly continue to protect the national territory from the threat of Logner, adjacent to the north, and Zalwarn, who refrained behind it.

It was only ten days after the death of the Predecessor that the fortress fell exposed to the onslaught of the Logner army, he said.

"Reclaim that fortress," he said?

Otherwise, this country will be over.

It was not Falia who answered Setuna's question. The sharp, sharp, blade-like voice was what came right down from the top of my head.

The woman stood on its roof, a stone building standing beside a large street leading from the main gate. Perseverance, looking down on this one.

"Gandhia's nappings end her life lying around, and the young princess, sold to Lucion, is exposed to pathetic, foolish laughter -"

She was a young woman. In the years, would it be no different from Faria or one or two younger than her? The golden hair will shake in the wind and sparkle, and the clear white skin will have to be jealous or visionary for the woman.

Neither the deep lashes that edge her slightly sharp angled eyes, nor the misleading eyes with the jade, are just one element that shapes her beauty.

If you say so, she is a beautiful woman. She is so beautiful that there is no need to raise her faults. Anyway, she's a beautiful woman.

She had a slender long body wrapped in silver light armor with a sword around her waist.

"- I don't like this kind of muscle writing"

Clearly, she. The seemingly strong temper was directed at Leongando.

Huh, Setsuna frowned feeling like someone had a shadow that could only be described as her beauty. But the answer was made clear immediately.

"So you win."

The determination put into Leongand's voice was hard enough to renew the thought, even Setsuna, who was just listening beside him.

But it didn't seem to work at all for the woman on the roof.

"How? You know my brother has a weak chance of winning as it is. Our Lucion White Knights just joined the battle, and it's an unbridgeable difference in power, isn't it? Have you forgotten that behind Logner is Zalwarn?

To the discomfort contained in her cold-hearted, yet well-reasoned words, Setsuna, for some reason, flashed.

(brother... go!?

That would mean the woman on the roof, Leongand's sister. I didn't even understand why I felt shocked by that fact, but anyway, Setsuna was convinced in her chest, comparing her to the face of the Youth King over and over again.

Two melons, that's not too much to say. So much so, that it was even as if it were a monozygotic twin, yet it is obvious to the appearance that the years are apart.

"I don't think Zalwarn's coming out of this fight."

"Why?

"... linon"

It was Setsuna's first time to see Leongand snap into a sigh mix. Perhaps he has a strong sister named Linon.

She looked only at Leongando with a shot.

"What?

"What are you talking about, and let's talk inside. Setsuna and Bell are in trouble."

Linon's gaze moved slightly to what Leongand looked like pointing to the Setunas. To the applause, the expression that was frozen somewhere soothes.

"Oh, not Faria."

"It's been a while. Dear Linon."

"Really, it's been a while, hasn't it? But I'm relieved you're feeling better."

Linon's sincere joy about Faria is well understood beside him, the stabbing just now has disappeared and a soft atmosphere has been created. His joyful eyes were directed towards Setuna.

"What about you?

Setuna was not the one who answered the natural question.

"He is Setuna-Kamiya. Make him an armed summoner, our trump card."

Leongand's shout not only surprised Linon, but also led to the attention of the soldiers crossing near the main entrance of Mardar.

More importantly, Setuna had no choice but to scream in dismay and pity.

"Huh!?
