It was on May 4th that Quon and his pilgrimage teacher Radian-Oldsmile stepped on the land of Lyohan.

The aerial city of Lyohan is situated in the heart of the Lyov Highlands, which extends into the central Vashtarian sphere of power. Lyohan is not a city on earth, as you can imagine from the alias of an aerial city. Technically, it's on the ground, but even on the ground, there's an urban area of Lyohan at the top of Mount Lyov, which is extremely dangerous.

Most importantly, Mount Lyoff itself can be called Lyohan, and entering Mount Lyoff's foothillside Mountain Gate Street was the same as stepping into Lyohan's sphere of power.

Yamagata Street.

It was exactly the city you deserved when it came to gates. The city, surrounded by walls that are too huge for artifacts and characterised by gates so large that it seems difficult to move them manually, is said to have helped greatly in holding back the invasion of the Vashtarian army in the war against Vashtaria which took place decades ago. The barrier created by Lyohan's armed summoners collecting excerpts of technology, as well as a number of defensive mechanisms, not only prevented Vashtari from entering, but also served to intercept and drive down Vashtarian soldiers who made their way into the mountains, plaguing Vashtarian heads greatly, he said.

If it became even more direct combat, the Vashtarian side was overwhelmingly disadvantaged. On top of the numbers, Vashtaria continued to dominate, but the difference in power that could not be filled by numbers alone lay between Vashtaria and Lyohan. So although Vashtaria struck out on a long-term offensive, he seemed to have no choice but to despair at how Lyohan looked without signs of standing and withering no matter how long he took. Were you stockpiling a hell of a lot of troops, or were there some way out and replenishing them from there? Either way, Lyohan had a winning chance from the start and it's not hard to imagine wanting to fight Vashtalia.

But no matter how many chances we had, the opponent is Vashtalia. The only thing I can say is how willing I was to fight against a giant force that puts a quarter of the continent under control.

But perhaps Lyohan's decision should be praised. If Lyohan had fallen under Vashtarian rule, the situation on the continent would have changed dramatically. There was no way Vashtalia would not use Lyohan's power.

It is the main mountain of the Continental Summoner's Church. It is not too much to say that the line power held is comparable to or more than the three major forces.

"So you pierced your independence. Lyohan's determination and readiness are commendable, sir."

Radian surprised the Quons by crushing the unhuman language of the church once again. Radians are supposed to be the highest-ranking teachers in the Church and people on the side affirming the Church, but there are things that can also be taken as ecclesiastical criticism at the ends of words and deeds, and Quon was often whimpering inside. If something like "White Shield" gets repulsed because of Radian's statement, it's not even a joke.

Radian is a pilgrimage teacher. From the travel costume, it was obvious that he was a person of the church, and there was a stuffing between him and the gatekeeper to enter the mountain gate district of Lyohan. Mountain Gate Street is the border between Lyohan and the outside world, so to speak, the border between Vashtalia and Lyohan. It was a difficult task for a pilgrimage teacher from the Vashtara Church to enter Yamagata Street, where even Vashtaras would have great difficulty in entering. But Radian was allowed to enter Yamagata Street without haste, without noise, after speaking carefully with the gatekeepers and gaining understanding. I prefer not to use forceful hands.

"Well, if you're going around, this can happen, yo"

He did not give in. The Radians used to travel across the continent as pilgrimage teachers. There may have been one or two countries like Lyohan that did not accept the Vashtara Church, or they may have reacted more harshly than the gatekeepers of Yamagata Street. I guess Radian's cool attitude comes from those experiences.

When the Radians were allowed to enter Yamagata Street, the Quons finally entered the inn. Radians are following on their own, and they shouldn't mind ignoring it, but Kuon's conscience wouldn't allow that. Radians are touched by the way Quon behaves, but if I tried to Quon, I didn't have the sardine to be touched, I just had trouble reacting.

Lyohan touched on the fact that Mount Lyoff itself was a huge city.

Situated between Lyohan and the outside world, it is this mountain gate street that also plays the role of a gateway, it was a normal city like anywhere else except that the mountain gate street is surrounded by huge walls and mountains. Closer to the city than to the city. A number of well-maintained and paved roads do not seem very much like a small town at the foot of the mountain. There were countless houses, various facilities and a number of inns for travellers looking to Lyohan.

I had to rent out some of those inns because the White Shield is a big place. There were a total of two hundred and fifty, including combat personnel and others. Two hundred and fifty. Not a very quon alone can grasp the number of people, but also the executives for it. Sweel-Lanagaudi and Graham were assisting me with Quon, as well as Waldo and Mana. Illis is not willing to get involved in HR, and even if it leads to Millena, he can say he just joined, and he can't let that happen.

Kuon had no intention of augmenting a group of mercenaries called the White Shield. Even Mirlena's accession was every bit out of the range of assumptions, and it was more a matter of concern that she and her soldiers would not be able to take control as a group of "White Shields" than they would be happy to strengthen their power by joining them.

You don't need to increase your membership any more. Even after entering Vashtalia, I thought, there was a dramatic increase in the number of people wishing to join the group. That and this is due in large part to the publicity of Radian-Old Smile. The Radians were impressed by the philosophy of the White Shield, asking for nothing in return, and praised the actual actions of the Quons who destroy the Imperial Devil's Nest. And even though the Quons didn't ask for it, they started promoting The White Shield. Then what do you think? There has been an explosive increase in hopes of joining the White Shield. Quon held his head. Around a total of over two hundred members, I was beginning to think it was enough.

When it swelled up to two hundred and fifty, he finally found out about Radian's propaganda and asked him to stop propaganda. Although he regretted not being informed of the activities of the White Shield, he seemed convinced by the statement that any further expansion of the White Shield would only hinder the activities of the Quons.

That is why I could have said that the White Shield is beginning to have sufficient organizational capacity among the numerous groups of mercenaries on this continent. Of course, Quon doesn't crave that. The purpose of the White Shield is not to rise and fall as a mercenary.

To climb Mount Lyov from Yamagate Street and enter the aerial city of Lyohan, it was necessary to obtain permission to enter the mountain. He said he needed to stay in Yamagate Street for a few days or so to get permission to enter the mountain. It was that people of any position would be the same, and that even if they were bishops of the Vashtarian Church, they would not be given special treatment.

If permission to enter the mountain is granted, it is not possible to reach Lyohan immediately. Mount Lyov is a steep mountain. To reach an airborne city located at the top, you have to take a long mountain path. It meant nothing like it would take a few days to climb the mountain, but it seems true that you have to be prepared for half a day.

While waiting for permission to enter the mountain, the Quons worked to prepare for the mountain climb. Even so, if the residents of Yamagata Street were to be told, the normal route would simply provide adequate cold protection measures. Anything was that the passage of the normal route was maintained so that even ordinary people could pass through it, and that climbing gear and so on were not necessary.

"It seemed unnecessary to be ready to climb the mountain."

It was impressive that Mirlena went somewhere unfortunate. Iris turns half an eye. Iris doesn't care that she's been familiar with Quong since she first met him in Juwein. Mana seems to be doing well with Mirlena as well, but that created some discord with Iris. Most importantly, the discord is also resolved before it becomes serious. Iris and Mana were, as always, close as sisters.

"You need to be ready?

"The wrinkles don't work out the way they do. It takes so much preparation and determination."

"The princess can fight enough, right?"

Waldo was right. Mirlena, as a royal preference for Juwain, has been a martial arts addict since childhood and had a saying when it comes to handling spears. Her bravery and resoluteness on the battlefield is so separate from her usual laid-back and unique sense of air that she wants to suspect that she is someone else.

"Not if you do"

As Mirlena shrugged her shoulders, Mana chuckled. It's only natural not to be outnumbered by Waldo or Illis. Illis' powers were beyond his intelligence, and Waldo's physical abilities are also out of reach. The indiscipline that you cannot handle a powerful summoning weapon without a forged flesh does not make him fail to train his flesh.

Kuon also learns from him to work out his body every day. It is no exaggeration to say that it is the strengthening of physical abilities that leads directly to the strengthening of the Shield of Messiah. And the lifeline of The White Shield is Shield of Messiah. With the Shield of Messiah, we can fight unscrupulous battles.

That's why the day after he bought thick clothing to combat the cold, Kuon conducted joint training by mobilizing all the battle personnel from the White Shield.

May 5.

Today was no exaggeration when it came to special occasions.
