Armed Summoners - Black Spears and the Brave Men of the Other World

Episode One Thousand Two Hundred and Nineteen: Their Destiny (VII)

When did you recognize that ability of Edge of Thurst?

Years ago, I'm pretty sure I couldn't use it when I first summoned him.

It was understandable at the moment of the summons that Edge of Thurst had tremendous power. Such a substitute that it is instantly understandable that an armed summoner of a rush like Neewe should not have it in his hands. I remember a run of magic pouring in so violent that I felt fear just in my hands. It's the kind of feeling that breaks my heart and deprives me of my consciousness. But Neewe didn't lose me, and Edge of Thurst settled into his subpoena armed.

Yelkaim-Karlavia, Niewe's master of armed summoning, said summoning is a talent, and that Niewe should be given the finest treatment of edge ob-thurst. Neewe practiced his teacher's teachings and worked out his workouts day after day in order to make Edge of Thurst entirely his own.

It was the training of armed summoners to build their flesh, build their spirits, and try to create themselves unbeatable to anyone.

Eventually it turns out that Edge of Thurst has some abilities.

One is the ability to change the position of the double knife. Two swords and a pair of subpoenas seems to be a rare thing, something that has been rumored since the first subpoena to be capable of wrapping two swords and a pair. And it actually made sense to be two swords. It was even possible to transfer space by switching the positions of the two shortcuts on the Edge of Surst.

The ability was used to carry Setuna into this forest of messengers.

He also has the ability to shoot out forces converging on a double knife as light bullets. It's not as powerful or precise as I used to tow it earlier. Most importantly, the more power we have to converge, the more power we will have gained, and if we had maximum power, Setsuna would have had to figure out what to do with it, but given the depletion, it is not an easy one to use.

Where I have worked out, my mental strength cannot continue to increase indefinitely. I'm human. Everything has its limits. Of course, Neewe's mental strength is not being built to its limits. I don't remember so much training. The training of armed summoners lasts a lifetime, which is why older armed summoners can be stronger than younger armed summoners. A young, vibrant armed summoner may seem stronger at first sight, but the truth is, it won't. Armed summoners who continue to train until old age and build up their spirits are much stronger.

Most importantly, the strength and weakness of the armed summoner can be greatly due to the ability of the summoning arm, which can be overwhelmingly strong depending on how young the summoned arm is.

That example is the boy in front of you, and it will be you.

Neewe exhaled quietly in a world where even the sound was gone. The spirit continues to polish down from the moment it exercises this ability. That's why you don't inject your mental energy into light bullets. The mental depletion of this ability is too intense.

There was currently nothing moving within Niewe's sensing range. No trees, no grasshoppers, no animals, no bugs, no one is moving. The lack of wind sounds was because the atmosphere itself stopped moving, and because the trees didn't bother. It is also the effect of ability that the trees cut down by Setuna stopped moving during the fall, and because Setuna stopped moving in front of us, it is also due to ability.

Edge of Thurst's greatest ability was to keep time still.

(This is Edge of Thurst's ability to rule the world)

Neewe approached Setuna without any hesitation when he let go of the Edge of Thurst double-knife. Setsuna is stiff with a stare at the space where Niewe stood until just now. That would be so. He can't recognize the rest of his time. He's not the only one. No one but Neewe can recognize the state in which this time has stopped.

It was a long time ago that the temporal stillness was activated. At first, I didn't understand what happened. but it's something that I immediately grasped as my ability to stop time other than myself and trembled at the horror of it so much. A sense of omnipotence dominated him as to whether he could do anything with this ability. But I know why not Sugu, but that's not why this ability was in vain. Rather, depending on how it was used, it turned out to be an absolute thing that could cut through any situation.

Whatever, stop time but yourself. Only you can recognize a world that is still in time, and others under your influence recognize it as something that did not happen during that time. For example, if Niewe moves a little from the point where the time stands still to release the time standstill, it looks like a space shift. Therefore, it was initially thought that it was a kind of spatial transfer capability.

In researching it, it turned out that it was not a spatial transfer capability or anything else, but something more horrible and vicious.

Neewe and Edge of Thurst had no enemies. Even a master would not be his enemy. Yelkeim himself admits it. And that's also why Yelkaim makes Niewe special. Yelkaim can be called the most powerful armed summoner the Empire is proud of. Being recognized by him like that was nothing but an honor. Of course, we must enjoy that that is recognition, including the ability of the summoning armed. You have to know that Niewe doesn't appreciate her own strength. Don't get me wrong.

Walk in a still world.

While time stops, mental power continues to drain severely. It is impossible to maintain the world's stillness for long periods of time, only to eat the opponent's counterattack if the time stillness is not lifted by draining the spirit.

Neewe pulled up close to Setuna and stopped her leg. Setuna squeezed the black spear with both hands and held it vertically. If it's not a setup that strikes Niewe, it doesn't seem like a setup that takes counterattack into account. I guess I saw this one behave and tried to use some sort of ability.

(One hand, that was too late)

After time stops, then, it's too late.

Neewe had Setuna's neck muscle touched with an edge of thurst. I also thought of stabbing him to death with a single penetration of his heart, but he was wearing armor. Though lightweight, it has a chest, and the chest would be tougher than the hips. There is a risk that the edge of the thrust will be reacted by the time it pierces the chest and breaks through the heart. Normal opponents still have a good chance of being dealt with by super-response if they are black spears. So Neewe pushed the blade against the empty neck muscle. The sharp edge of the surst won't scratch one on Setuna's neck.

That was the difficulty when it came to the ability to time still. It is not a weakness. Difficulties.

That means Niewe is the only one who can interfere in a stationary world. Nothing but Neewe can interfere in a stationary world. No matter how much force Neewe puts into it, he can't hurt the stills, he can't kill the stills, etc., than he can't interfere with each other.

It is the ability to stationary the world, to interfere with the stationary world, not with the stationary objects of the stationary world.

So it took a lot of work to kill the opponent, and the possibility of eating a counterattack, as we did earlier. Most importantly, no measure could ever be applied to a person who had received a stationary capability for the first time, and was dealt with by Setsuna only because he had some idea of how to fight Niewe.

It is possible to approach the opponent while the time is still, even if you cannot attack while the time is still. The victory is confirmed simply by approaching the opponent's extreme proximity and letting the blade touch the blind spot. If the opponent is on the move, simply position the edge ob-thurst in the direction of travel. He would eat an edge ob-thurst that suddenly appeared like the last Setuna and would be fatally wounded.

At this moment, release the temporal stillness and hit the edge of the thurst, and that alone will kill Setuna.

Pushing her black torso against her carotid artery, Niewe looked ahead to the boy who looked just like herself. He was looking at the space where Neewe was supposed to be. But Niewe is no longer standing directly next to Setuna, pushing a blade against his neck.

(You die of this)

So, everything's over.

If Setuna dies, the black spear is left behind. Destroying the remaining black spears is not difficult. At least, it can't be Edge of Thurst either. Destroy, absorb power, and Edge Observer gains additional power.

Only then can Neewe return to the country with her breasts stretched out.

We can pick up Nina.

I'm sorry about that.

It was that girl's face that floated in the back of my brain. Did you say Elina-Carone? A girl with a puppy of the same name as herself named Neewe. What fateful irony, she knows Setsuna and has turned her blade to avenge Niewe for nearly killing Setsuna. If Setuna dies, she will be sadder. I may despair.

But that's why we can't keep Setsuna alive here.

Because this is a battle that hung all of Neewe's existence.

Unstationary time, pressing the blade - Niewe, annoyed. Setuna's neck was emitting light. No, it's not just the neck. Setuna's whole body was wrapped in light.

(This is...!

A tremendous pressure struck Neewe's consciousness in an instant, and he flew off the scene with fear. The shock chased him to Niewe and pushed him through his body. I didn't know what happened at that moment, but soon I figure out what Setuna did.

An explosion of power was wiping out all around Setuna, all things. And the earth shall be decided, and the trees shall be uprooted, and the dust shall rise, and all that is blown shall be burned up in the running of power, and shall be consumed. An explosive stream of power. Wind a vortex, draw a spiral, and form a sphere.

An enormous amount of heat stroked the face of Neewe, who managed to land. Face the severe pain. When I saw him, his right arm was burned and he was rotten. They were caught in the heat. Speaking of which, it was the right hand blade that was poking the blade at Setuna's neck muscle. Of course, I haven't let go of Edge of Thurst, but it makes no difference that it's a fatal pain.

Niewe bit his teeth as he waited for the rampage of forces emitted by Setuna to subside.

That strange structure of Setsuna was meant for this purpose.

I guess it's one of those coping methods for attacks that I don't know come from anywhere in Neewe. Sure, if you don't know where your opponent is going to attack from, you're right that you just need to simultaneously attack all directions. But not everyone can imitate it.

It must have been possible if it had been a black spear.

Breathe tightly while making sure your right hand moves securely. The pain can be silenced, and the blood hasn't flowed that far. I have no problem continuing the fight.

If there is a problem, it means Setuna is able to counteract it completely close to its temporal stationary capability.

(but... the attack went through)

Niewe's right hand was feeling a definite response. Although it was only possible to chop off Setuna's neck, it was definitely shallow and slit.

Slash him again and again and he dies.

He's human, too.

Human spiritual power is not infinite. There's no way I can unleash enough power to halve the forest so many times. It is apparent from a view of the earth, which is decidedly hemispherically shaped, that it is an abundantly draining ability. Maybe once or twice more I can use it. By contrast, this time standstill is about twice as common.

I can win.

Setuna stepped down to the center of the ruins of destruction and watched this one. I'm bleeding out of my neck muscle. It's not deadly. Unfortunately, I have no choice. If you put that much effort into it, it's likely that Niewe would have been drunk to death by the explosion.

Neewe stared at him as he rebuilt his edge of thurst.
