Armed Summoners - Black Spears and the Brave Men of the Other World

Episode one thousand three hundred and ninety-seven: Setuna of Benoa (II)

Benoa is the capital of Benoagard, also known as the Knights' Territory.

In ancient times, the Royal Benoagard was supposedly pioneered, and its vast city was divided, from time to time, into upper and lower classes, with upper classes of humans, including aristocrats, living in the lower classes.

As one of the thirteenth knights, Luveris, the head of the Benoagard's leading aristocratic Finn Wright family, naturally lives in the upper echelons. It's not just the thirteenth knight. All knights belonging to the Knights have their residence in the upper echelons. That doesn't mean that there are no knights from the lower echelons, and that some of the thirteen knights are from the lower echelons.

"It is now the policy of the current head of delegation, Fairling Zan-Kluth, to take it apart without distinction of identity and with strength. So, as long as the lower level folks pass the exam, they can join the Knights, build drills, and if they get the results, they can be the Righteous Knights. The thirteenth knight is not that easy."

On the way to the buyout, Luveris was talking to me for some free time.

The carriage carrying the Setuna and the others continues through the upper layers of Benoa. From the quiet residential neighborhood where the Finn Light family main residence was located to the popular section. There was a clear blue sky over his head. It is sunny enough that even the flowing white clouds are dazzling, with spring sunshine falling on the North.

With such a view out the window, Setuna was listening to Luveris. By the way, Ragna puts her head on Setuna's shoulder, sleeping. The carriage wobbled comfortably and seemed to invite me to sleep.

"Knights knights have a class. Anyone who passes the Knights exam will first be left to the Knights of Obedience. You're the lowest knight. Anyone who has earned a track record of drilling with a squire can be promoted to Associate Knight. And only a select one of the quasi-knights can be a true knight."

All that belonged to the Knights meant that they were knights. In other words, all the things that Setuna and the others called Knights soldiers are knights. Perhaps I can see obedient knights as common soldiers. Even so, the Knights' horror is as strong as it is difficult to say as a miscellaneous soldier.

"Thirteen knights are the only thirteen chosen from among such righteous knights."

Nothing to be proud of, Leveris said.

Thirteen knights.

Thirteen knights with overwhelming power. Its strength can be called unknown. Even vicious can wield even more powerful power by being huge. With so much power, in Abad and Maldia, what does it mean to lose to Setuna?

"Does thirteen mean that you can't be thirteen knights, even if you are now a righteous knight?

"What do you think? I'm not sure about all that."

Luveris looked like he was in trouble.

"Maybe we'll be fourteen knights or fifteen knights or maybe we'll stop with thirteen"

"But you don't know, do you, Mr. Luveris?"

"I wonder if the Lord Commander is the only one who knows."

"Captain......"

Failing Zan-Kruse.

It's who Setsuna has to meet sooner or later. Sooner or later, it's not like that, but I just have to think about it more than there's no way I'll see you anytime soon. I don't have to wait. According to Luveris' story, the opportunity to see him is bound to come. There is nothing but to believe the word and wait. There's no way I can let go of a black spear or anything. There can be no such thing as black spears being abused (because being able to use it means that a deportation order should work and it is possible to re-summon them as long as they can be returned), but who needs them, such as Setuna without black spears?

With the power of a black spear, it is Setsuna.

Setuna herself knows that fact better than anyone else. That's why we have to get it back as soon as possible. We need to get it back to Leongand as soon as possible. However, if the location was unknown and only failing ring was known, we had no choice but to ask directly to failing ring, and for that reason we had no choice but to wait for the opportunity to discuss it directly with failing ring.

It's a problem I can't open on my own. Not to mention all the frustration and agitation I get. We must somehow regain the black spear, bring it to Leongando as soon as possible, even for a day or a moment, and put an end to Gisele Court's conspiracy. Even without Setsuna's power or anything else, although I believe Leongand will beat Gisele Court, Setsuna's personal idea is that it is his role to consider Leongand's enemies.

There is also a desire to help Leongand.

With all those thoughts, Setsuna is living her days in Benoa.

Eventually, the carriage carrying the Setunas reached the upper commercial district of Benoa.

When we got off the carriage while following Luveris, we were to see it crowded with crowds. They're not all upper-class people walking out of the commercial district because they're upper-class. Because we also saw a number of people dressed like civilians with no support, rather one of the upper classes seemed less.

"It's changed since the revolution."

Luveris has been wondering about Setuna or whispering about it.

"The revolution by the Knights has eliminated the separation between the upper and lower levels. Lower people were allowed to walk out of the upper echelons, and even if the upper echelons went down to the lower echelons, nothing was wrong. Of course, there are still various problems between the upper and lower levels of the population, but that will also be corrected someday."

The Knights, once revolutionized.

The revolution overthrew the royal family and changed the very likeness of the nation. Instead of an authoritarian political system by the royal family, it was turned into a political system that respected the sovereignty of the people under the auspices of the Knights. Initially, there was a huge backlash. Especially upper-class humans, starting with aristocracy, said they feared that there would be no more differences with the lower classes of the population and were greatly opposed. However, Fairling Zan-Kreus declared that purifying the corrupt Benoagard required radical reform, which was discontinued.

Though opponents resisted reform by force, he said, there was no way to exchange it in front of the overwhelming power of the Knights, and the blood shed in those battles formed the basis for the stability of Benoa today.

In fact, a thorough attack on the opposition has worked to show how futile and pointless the opposition to the Knights is, and since then, they've done less against the Knights way.

'It's not necessarily a good thing to keep it down by force. But it was necessary then. For the revolution. "

The look on Luveris's face in explaining the revolution also seemed to give up something and made him imagine his complex mood.

Benoagard said he was corrupt at the time. The royal family did not look at the people and also continued to look unfamiliar about the corruption of politics. The idea that Benoagard would perish sooner or later, as it were, was a sense of crisis held by many, and that is why the revolution in failing to do so was supported, and even after the defeat of the royal family, few condemned the defeat of the royal family itself. Royal corruption meant it was a common perception for the people of Benoagard. And it was only natural for the people to support the Knights who were purifying Benoagard and doing decent politics.

I guess that's why Setuna doesn't have an evil impression on the Knights themselves.

It is the overthrow of a corrupt political system for the people, and in the new political system that we have created on it, that puts the people first.

All I see there is righteousness.

Regardless, I guess the Royal Benoagard had royal justice, but because so many citizens were sacrificing for it and the country was beginning to go to ruin, I can't vote for royal justice, etc. Rather, it merely reveals the Knights who defeated such a royal family and the correctness of Fairling Zan-Kreuth.

On the other hand, it was totally incomprehensible and unforgivable for Setsuna for such a righteous knighthood to be in tune with Gisellcourt's conspiracy. I know it means that Gisele Court also has justice, but if you take it to Setuna, who stands by Leongand, whatever justice Gisele Court has, it's only evil. And all that goes into tune with such a Giselle coat is also evil to destroy.

Again, the Knights are evil.

The commercial district was lined with various stores. Some stores handle clothing, others specialize in shoes. Some painters and many stores handling food were seen. There were stores selling swords and other weapons, as well as stores specializing in decorations. As disturbing as the various shops are, it should be called precisely a commercially specific compartment.

Luveris ordered them as he toured the various stores. Setuna followed Luveris like that with Ragna, while he was stunned by the rampantness of the thirteen knights who did not put on escorts and did not accompany his squire. And it was also understandable that Luveris was admired by the citizens of Benoa. Luveris was popular wherever he walked.

Luveris stood out from his outfit. He's neutral in appearance, but he's definitely a man, and he's wearing women's clothes on top of it. It was also a flashy costume of extreme colour, enough to tell from a distance that it was Luveris. It was obvious when the citizens who knew about Luveris saw it, and around Luveris they overflowed with citizens who admired him.

The XIII Knights say they represent the post-revolutionary Knights.

If the very popularity of the Knights is high, and they are also the executives of that Knights, it may well be assumed that the citizens are excited to push.

"This is why you're in trouble."

It was funny how Luveris managed to escape the crowd, blurry as exhausted. The popular spiciness is well known to Setsuna as well.

"As much as shopping, why don't I leave it to my servants"

Ragna raises a natural question. If you're as good as Leveris, you should be there for one or both of your servants, and you should be using them. In fact, there were too many servants in the mansion of Luveris to be counted, and there were deacons. Those were the ones who were taking care of Setuna and the others around them. I don't have to doubt that if Luveris ordered a word, he would go out and buy it out right away.

"That's true too... you want to choose with your own eyes as much as you want to use for your own work, don't you?

"What works... what do you make?

"You don't have anything in particular. Depends on how you feel then."

Luveris has come to blame.

"Sometimes you paint, sometimes you make clothes, sometimes you make shoes."

"You can do a lot of things"

"Exactly, though design is the only thing with swords and armor."

"Is that what you're gonna do?"

Setuna rounded her eyes to Luveris' multitaste.

"I wanted to be an artist. My parents and my brother died, and I had to inherit the governor, and I had to give up."

Luveris had eyes like he was looking far away. In fact, it may reflect the landscape of a distant past behind its back.

"Since then, you've been a hobby. Manufacturing"

The words that Luveris smashed into small disappeared amidst the hustle and bustle of the commercial district.

Imagine Luveris' life.

Each of them has a different life.

There are various living beings, countless thoughts, and numerous trajectories will be drawn. Sometimes we interact, some go away and never overlap again. Setuna, too, only overlapped slightly in Luveris' life. That's all, but I found out a little about Luveris and was interested in knowing it. What life Luveris has lived, what thoughts he has, and why, he has been so personal to the Setunas.

I couldn't put such a question into words.

Because Luveris opened his mouth first.

"Speaking of which, are you listening? About Maldia."

"Maldia?"

Rebellion, shake your head. No outside information came into Setuna and the others. You don't tell me when you ask your servants, and you don't even get newspapers so you can get information.

"There's been a coup d 'état."

"A coup d 'état?"

To what I didn't imagine, Setsuna, just a little. Did something happen to Yuno? The only thing that came to mind about her was, after all, how involved she was.

"Whatever, you think Prince Julius turned into King Jugus and took power"

"Prince Julius?

"Yes."

Watching Luveris nod quietly, the face of a temperate prince passed behind Setuna's brain that looked just like Yuno. He was Yuno's twin brother and a serene boy of a character unlikely to have a coup d 'état or anything. Of course, that is what Setuna knows, and although it may not be more surprising than not having touched on the essence of Julius Reus-Maldia or anything.

"Is Princess Yuno safe?

"He's safe, but I don't know the details."

He didn't even know Leveris in depth.

It was not until after Setuna returned to Luveris' mansion that she learned more about the coup d 'état in Maldia.
