Armed Summoners - Black Spears and the Brave Men of the Other World

Episode One Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty Seven Shadows (1)

I have heard that the Aerial Capital is a residential area that uses ancient ruins intact long before visiting Lyohan. The association with a group of underground ruins, commonly known as “buried civilizations," is unknown, but there seems to be no doubt that it boasts a long history. That is what I hope existed before the continent was united, and from that time on many of them lived and lived in Lyohan.

While walking in some sort of labyrinth-like township, Setsuna, was thinking about that. The aerial capital is much wider and much more intrusive than I had imagined when I asked Faria. Even though I understood the directions to my destination, I was about to get lost. That would be the case, too. It's only recently that I've been able to walk around the capital. Until then, I was in a dream, and when I woke up, I couldn't move right away. I don't have an overall view of the capital.

If you summon a black spear, it's as easy as grasping the structure of the city with that super feeling, but you can't even do that. The phenomenon of luminescence during summons is too obvious. Setuna and the others are now taking covert action.

"Still, what is it?

Rem has whispered, too, in case anyone asks, and the identity of Setuna and the others should not be dispersed. Both Setuna and Rem dressed very differently than usual. Setsuna is hidden in a hat worn deep in her eyes by tying her hair on top of wearing different cold clothes than those prepared by your mausoleum. Lem was also swollen round wearing cold proof clothes, not the usual servant outfit. He wears a hat on it and makes his face hard to see from around him. At first glance, it was a dubious outfit, but fortunately it was a sunny day, and wearing a hat was not a rare thing in itself, so it never meant being noticed by people on the road.

No matter, I don't take escorts or anything.

Only Setsuna and Rem are getting out of your mansion and on their way to their destination. Take the ridge north with your mausoleum. It leaves the residential neighborhood and leads to a section called the northern outhouse. The sun began to fall and it was time for the sky to become reddish.

"I don't know. You're going to find out that, aren't you?

"That's true..."

Rem is anxious because he didn't know who called the Setunas.

There is a reason why Setuna did not say a word to the escort with Rem and left your mansion. The reason for this is in the envelope recently handed to the boy at the entrance to and exit from the aerial capital. There was a piece of paper in the envelope, and the piece of paper contained a text addressed to Setuna. Here's what's written in the common language of the continent.

"The northern detachment, wait on the eastern outskirts. You Can Come Alone '

I just don't see the giver from all that text, or its purpose. I just know it's addressed to Setuna from where that kid has handed it to Setuna. The Lord of the Letter could not hand it directly to Setuna, and for that reason he must have used the children. I guess I couldn't have seen the scene where I was handing Setuna a letter, and in the first place, if I could have handed her a letter, I just had to tell her what I wanted to tell her in person then. What I couldn't do with that would be worrying about a glance, or maybe an eye for an escort.

Where no one is, let's just meet Setuna. I can't think of anything else.

Nevertheless, the trouble is that we don't even know what to do with Setsuna. Setsuna has only shown Rem the contents of the letter, but both of them thought about what to do. The Lord of the Letter will probably still be waiting outside the northern detachment, and will continue to wait forever if the Setunas do not go. On the other hand, I think that's pathetic, and I also thought that it's not what I found out about someone who doesn't reveal their identity and doesn't tell them their purpose.

The conclusion is that Setuna used the ability of Edge of Thurst to get out of the mansion when Lem prepared his clothes.

After all the trouble, I decided to meet the Lord of the letters. Setsuna alone, as specified by the other party. Though Rem was following me, I had decided to meet with the Lord of the Letter with Setuna alone. It makes no sense to take Rem and not have the Lord of the Letter come out.

The northern outhouse crosses the bridge that connects the centre of the aerial capital to the northern section, further north. I am unimaginably lonely from the buzz in the heart of the aerial capital, and the further I go in the back, the less the crowd will be. Finally, I go out to a place where no one is. Looks like a great place to hide and meet people. I guess the Lord of the Letter is well aware of that, too. He seems to be familiar with the structure of the aerial capital, the flow of one. At least, it wouldn't be ordinary people.

Continue along the cobblestone passage to the interior of the northern detached house surrounded by stone columns and stone walls. The northern outhouse, it seems, is not a special building for the Lyohan government, just because it is called so. Since it is only one of the groups of ruins that make up the aerial capital, the number of guards has not even been arranged. That is not how the inhabitants of the aerial capital came in and out, but there was even the kind of air where some of the weathered ruins opened their mouths and waited for one to visit.

The sky was starting to stain the sunset. The air cools down and feels the gratitude of the cold proof clothes. Even after the middle of March, Lyohan, situated in the middle of the northern earth, had to live days trembling in the cold, even if not extreme cold.

"Out east... That was it"

Setuna, once again confirming the letter, returned to her nostalgia and turned her gaze to the eastern side of the northern detachment. The light and shadow created by the sunset seemed to further aggravate the lonely sight of the northern outhouse, and Setuna narrowed her eyes to a labyrinthine, meshed space where red light and pitch-black shadows weave. I feel as if I've stepped into a place where I shouldn't come, but it must be my fault.

"Master, be vigilant."

"I know."

Whisper back and resume walking.

I don't know who the Lord of the letters is. Yeah, I'd have to be vigilant if I were to be summoned to something so unpopular. Maybe he's a person who doesn't feel comfortable with Setuna. I don't think it's a good idea that you called in to assassinate Setuna. Not everyone living in Lyohan praises Setsuna for his work. Setuna, in particular, is the former boss of the goddess of war, Faria. In Lyohan, the supremacy of the goddess of war, its position must be subtle. Even if he is active in saving Lyohan and trying to be praised as a hero, there is something unacceptable about him.

On the way east through the northern detachment, Setuna stopped her legs and let Lem lurk in the shadows. The Lord of the Letter may be watching you from somewhere, and if you two get too close, you may not come out too alert. Rem convinced me that he wanted to follow Setuna, but wouldn't be able to talk about it.

Further east.

As the sunset glistened and fell to the other side of the west, Setuna's shadow stretched to an unusual extent as it proceeded eastward. It's like a giant shadow. Setuna looked around until the end of that shadow hit the wall, nothing like someone could stop her. It means he walked from the main gate of the northern outhouse to the area around the fence at the eastern end.

(East of the Northern Outlying Palace...?)

That was all that was written in the letter. Nothing else marks it, and I don't even know where the Lord of the Letter is waiting.

Surrounded by numerous buildings. There is no doubt that the Lord of the Letter lurks in any of them. No, maybe they soaked it up. The silence of the northern outhouse was so deep that I thought about it, there was no sign of one.

And that was when Setuna was giving me the way.

"Again, have you come"

Turning in the direction in which he heard a voice that made him feel low and old, one man appeared from inside a small building in the outhouse. Person wearing thick cold clothes and hidden face by headscarf.

"I've been waiting for you, Samurai Yamayama"

That's what the old man called Setuna, and he told me something unexpected.
