Armed Summoners - Black Spears and the Brave Men of the Other World
Episode 2409: Emperor Assault (1)
July 28, 5006, continental calendar.
Just when the Western Imperial Army's total offensive was launched, the Ulknakt, carrying the Setunas, was far above the Southern Zaion continent.
A few days ago, the Ulknakt, leaving Ciwell End, was fleshy to Zaius, the Imperial capital, and had reached over the Imperial capital just about the time the total attack would have begun, while maintaining such altitude that it could not have caught on to the sensing range of the armed summoners of the Eastern Zaion Imperial Army. Most of all, far above. Looking down at you, you can't see the sight of the Imperial City, etc., and it's nearly impossible to confirm the Imperial City's defensive network.
Except for the goddess, though.
"We've reached over the Empire, okay, but how's the Empire itself? As the information suggests, are the guards getting thinner?
"... at least, there doesn't seem to be enough defensive force left to match the breadth of the Imperial capital. Whether there are 20,000 left."
"Twenty thousand..."
"Normally, this is not the number of people we can do something about."
When Setsuna rebelled against the word of the Mayuri God, Miliu went with a bitter smile. The Ark's engine room has everyone but non-combatants. There are eight of them: Setuna, Faria, Miliu, Rem, Sheila, Elina, Esq, and Dalks. Everyone is ready to deploy at any time. Specifically, they each wore lightweight protective equipment.
Those protective gears are blessed with the blessing of the goddess Mayuri, who will perform far higher in defense than normal protective gear. Normally weapons should be able to withstand, to some extent, the attacks of summoning armies, regardless.
The patronage of the goddess is growing every day, but both that and this are manifestations of the deepening ties with the Setunas. That's all the power of Mayuri God has increased, and so has his protection for the Setunas. Thanks to this, Setuna and the others had no anxiety at the time of the Imperial Raid.
We can do this.
"Yeah."
"Right."
Neither Miliu nor Faria nodded as though they had no doubt whatsoever about Setuna's conclusions. It's not just the two of us. Everyone on the spot is convinced of victory. There is the blessing of the goddess, and there is everyone. I could believe I couldn't have lost. I have the feeling that I have to win, but I don't feel any more likely to lose than that.
"... if you have concerns, the number of armed summoners."
That's what I've been pointing out, Esq. Wearing a black coat from the top of his lightweight armor, he has a fun look on his face at all times. I guess I'm happy to be able to fight with Setuna.
I do understand his concerns, too. Imperial capital, that is. Assigning many armed summoners to Capital Defense can be justified. But it was also inevitable to come to the conclusion that even many of its armed summoners would have to be put on the front line if they knew about the total attack of the Western Empire, and therefore the possibility that the armed summoners were being turned into numerous imperial defenses seemed by no means high.
"It doesn't matter how many armed summoners you're dealing with."
"You take it easy on me."
"Setsuna would have done it."
"Of course."
Esq laughed back at Sheila telling her as a matter of course.
Inside the engine room, there was little pre-battle tension, etc. Everyone is settling down in front of the important task on which the destiny of the Western Empire took place: the prompt suppression of the imperial capital. So far, it has been Setsuna and the others who have broken through different mandates. There was no way I was nervous about this degree of assignment.
"Both armed summoners and general soldiers want to try not to kill as much as possible, but it is more important to end the battle as soon as possible, and the safety of everyone is far more important. That is also what His Majesty himself said. Everybody, remember that for the liver."
Setuna looked around together and was so stern.
Niewehein did not want to kill any hostile Eastern Empire generals either because of the post-reunification imperial order, peace. If you think in his shoes, you deserve it. Both west and east are formerly the same Zion Empire. One who lives there. Also, if you follow the original, you are only a person of the Zaion Empire.
Regardless of the leaders who would have defined their current position by their will, there can be no such thing as a right of choice for the soldiers or the people, all of whom became nationals of the west or east, and soldiers, as they were flown into the situation. The people, if they shelter themselves, will have nothing to do with the west or the east, nor will the soldiers be able to choose to belong of their own free will. And it is the soldiers who have no choice but to obey the orders above than they have been ascertained to belong. If you belong to the east for more than two years and keep fighting, you may generate a lot of thoughts and values, but that's not what you decide to do either.
Unless the story is that all soldiers and people decide to belong to the east at their will, together with the east and destiny, but that's impossible.
At the founding of the Eastern Empire, where he lived determined the belonging of the people, and where he was transferred determined the belonging of the soldiers.
Most of them, they just got caught up.
Niewehein's thought that he therefore did not want to kill for no reason was understandable and supportive, both as an emotion and as a reason.
However, that depends on the circumstances.
"My life is my priority. Keep in mind that you don't kill your enemies. Don't imitate them so ridiculously that you lose your life."
"That's good for Setsuna, right?
"Lord Miliu is right."
"Yeah, yeah!
"... what do you think I am?"
Setuna shook her head as she clasped her shoulders at Miliu, Rem and Elina's reaction. Setsuna herself doesn't consider herself such a fool, but apparently she must admit that she is perceived as such. Milu's gaze tells the story. Cough up small and point your gaze at the projection light screen floating in the void in the room.
The cinematographic light screen showed looking down at the imperial capital Zaius from above.
Unlike the provisional early imperial capital of the Western Empire, Siwel End, Zaius, the original imperial capital, was an extremely vast city comparable. It can be called a giant fortress surrounded by multiple walls. The thick and enormous walls would be robust and extreme, and even invasion by armed summoners could be prevented to some extent. Breaking down those walls is a difficult task. The impression Setuna had of Zaius, the imperial capital, was that several cities were being held inside its robust and extreme walls.
It should also be a collection of several cities surrounded by walls. Each and every one of those cities is vast, and they seem to be intertwined compositely to shape one giant city. Structures divided into upper and lower layers are very unlikely to have been created by man. First of all, there is no doubt that the power of Naria, the goddess who created the empire, is involved.
There are eight lower compartments and three upper compartments, and a majestic Miyagi stands in the center of the upper compartment.
Make it the emperor's residence, and the royal family's residence will be the Temple of Heaven. Its majesty is so clear from the footage of the cinematic light curtain captured from above that I cannot imagine how much time and money, people and materials were thrown into the construction of its Miyagi. The fascinating magnificence of the Royal Strict Palace at Siwel End was such that even the likes of Setuna could be blinded.
There is probably the emperor Mizgarishein there for sure.
Just because it's a total battle doesn't mean the emperor goes to the front line himself. If there had been such a move, the Western Empire's intelligence network would have detected it beforehand and told the Setunas the Emperor's march route, but that had not happened.
The Eastern Emperor basically doesn't move the Empire. It is normal to call on the Imperial Capital even if there is something to tell the Governor or his subordinates. And that would be what a ruler would be, a monarch. Every king in every country is the same. Who is heavier, such as a king who moves around lightly?
"Our aim is to make the Emperor of the Eastern Empire an emperor and encourage him to surrender to what he calls Emperor Mizgaris. If Mizgaris will even surrender, the barren strife between the west and east will end. On the contrary, there are no other winning conditions. Unless Mizgaris surrenders, it means the battle won't end."
"I know that, but what would you do if you didn't surrender?
"At that time, we just need to make sure Mizgaris is in shape."
Setsuna told him.
Surrender will be an option if you are pushed into a situation where you cannot do anything, even though you are the kind of person who denounces the emperor.
Unless you're too familiar with it.
Not as familiar as Mizgarishein, is the constant phrase of those who denounce his imperial nickname, but it is against his deceit of the emperor and the launching of the Eastern Empire, and not so much a word indicative of his spirituality itself.
And Setuna wanted to believe it.
I do not want to go on futile and useless strife for long.
