Armed Summoners - Black Spears and the Brave Men of the Other World

Episode 358: In the kingdom of the knight (3)

"Since the creation of the Knights... that's a lot of money again."

"Right. It doesn't look like you, Captain."

Bain went in extremely light shape as he headed to his seat at the round table with Luveris. The more I had to do that on purpose, the air between the Divine Tables was heavy and there was pressure that was likely to crush me now. Heavy enough that even Bain's flesh of flexion could atrophy. That would be proof that Ozfeld is not making jokes or anything.

In the first place, everyone knew that Ozfeld was not the kind of person who gathered executives between Divine Tables to make jokes. He was as serious as he was in clothing, and because of his seriousness, he served as deputy chief, and was named the next chief of the regiment over failing to ring.

Its serious face makes it serious and looks at this one.

"If it's going to be a big deal, I've never been over it."

"… So, really that much is going on, do you mean"

"Oh."

Ozfeld nodded, waiting for the Baines to take their seats before continuing. Amazing words.

Sir Aetheria showed up.

"... Yes?

"Sir Aetheria? Such an idiot."

"Sir Aetheria would have died. My lord, with all of you."

Together with Luveris, Bain was filled with incredible feelings. The quality is too bad for a joke, and as I said earlier, Ozfeld is not the kind of person who jokes among the Divine Tables. In other words, his statements are fact-based, and that is why the shock is so great that upset and confusion spreads rapidly.

The seven former Knights Commanders, Fairling Zan-Kreus, Fiennel Zan-Krona, Carline Zan-Rhodes, Zexis Zan-Armfort, Drake Zan-Aetheria and Terius Zan-Kayloon, fought and scattered their lives to save this world from its doom.

That's what everyone knows if you're a member of the Thirteenth Knight.

The bond of souls, united by the power of the Savior God Mivula, made their death felt as well. The soul felt the moment the lights of their lives went out, when Bain remembered crying.

Everyone wept and everyone screamed.

That's what I knew.

That's what I understood.

Still, the loss of our compatriots, who have aspired to a glorious future and have struggled with it, was deeply wounding to our hearts.

That's why Benoagard, the Knights have split apart.

The impact of the death of the Knights' pivotal predecessor chief Fairling on the surviving knights was uninterruptedly great, intense and untenable.

It must also be for that reason that Hulberto Zan-Benoagard was poked in the gap of his heart by the evil god Ashtra.

The presence of the previous Knights captain was so great that it could not be filled in Ozfeld.

I have no choice.

In fail rings and ozfelds, nothing may be too different. I shouldn't have compared it.

Whatever.

"So it's been a case since the Knights were founded."

"If that's true, sure, it is..."

"Fact."

"I don't doubt it."

For once, though I did, I had no idea what the hell it was about, Bain.

Drake Zan-Aetheria himself showed up, not so much. He's dead. The bond of the soul has been interrupted ever since. If it was resurrected in some way or another, shouldn't it also resurrect the bond of the soul?

And in that case, it goes without imagining that the Baines would have recognized Drake's resurrection at the same time and would have choked and cried with joy in surprise and shock.

"Not in person, isn't it?

"That's what the soul says. But from what I've seen, Sir Aetheria, he was one of them."

"What's the possibility of someone else just looking just like you?

"I thought so too, but from what I said and did, it must have been Lord Aetheria."

It would be a mistake to pinch suspicion there because Ozfeld assures us. There is nothing better to know about the thirteenth knight than a deputy commander. Perhaps he is more familiar with the figures of each of the thirteen knights than his predecessor. Because the previous head of delegation, Fairling, had no contact with the individual because of his presence.

In that regard, Ozfeld, across to public and private life, made contact with each of the thirteen knights and did not fail to interact. I think even Drake, one of the lonely ones, had an open chest collar against Ozfeld.

"So it's weird. Impossible. Sir Aetheria died and the bond of his soul was broken. Yet he appeared in front of him as he was, and His Excellency the Commander was waiting for him."

"My lord the captain......!?

"Is that true!?

"It's hard to believe, and it's all suspicious, but Sir Aetheria, that sort of thing. And told him to wait on the covenant hill, and he left"

"On the covenant hill..."

Bain snapped to rebut Ozfeld's biting words. It was a series of shocking stories, while the confusion in my head accelerated.

A covenant hill is a hill south of Benoagard.

It is often the case that just places and things without any kind of inflection mean something extremely important to a particular organization, person, but the covenant hill for the Knights hits it.

The covenant hill is where the Fairling and other revolutionary knights exchanged covenants on the eve of the Benoagard revolution, and it is no exaggeration for the present Knights to call it the land of beginnings.

The promises exchanged on Covenant Hill revolutionized Benoagard, and the revolution swept away and purified the corruption in Benoagard.

If there had not been a revolution, Benoagard must have been attacked and destroyed by other countries while remaining corrupt.

And if there had not been a revolution, Fairling would not have been able to fulfill his encounter with the Mibula God sealed in the Divine Table, and the Savior God would have kept sleeping in the Divine Table.

The revolution saved Benoagard and saved the world.

(No, not yet)

It would be too insane to certify that we are saving the world as it stands.

The world extremes chaos and is engulfed in end-of-life air. Everyone is looking for salvation and even losing hope of living today.

I think running around Benoagard and the neighborhood under such circumstances is a serious thing in the Knights that puts up relief, but this, too, can't be helped.

There are a limited number of people who can move it.

There is a lack of power.

You can't devote your strength elsewhere and leave Benoagard empty.

It was a big deal to just run around the island while consolidating Benoagard's defenses.

I wasn't likely to be able to do very well in the current situation, such as saving the rest of the world and going around.

Still, I want to do that someday. I have to, and everyone in the Knights thinks.

That is the Knights' philosophy and existential significance.

Even Bain is giving his life to that philosophy and burning his soul. It belongs to the current Knights, and there is no one to rebel against that philosophy, and therefore there are few that raise their dissatisfaction with the content of their current activities.

The Knights do not serve the kind of people who are satisfied just by saving Benoagard and neighboring countries.

"I didn't ask any of you to gather together."

Ozfeld cut the story out.

"To go to the Covenant Hill."

Between the Divine Tables was enveloped in silence.
