Ascendance of a Bookworm

Lutz's Apprenticeship Preparation

"Mine, what are we gonna do today? Bad weather."

The cloudier skies seen through the windows were not suitable for paper making. You may go to the woods to collect, but if it rains along the way, I'd rather leave a message because I'll be fairly footy.

This spring, when the weather has graced me, I have indulged in paper making to make money, and on days when the weather is slightly worse, I have been wandering around the city with Marc to help build a workshop.

But the workshop was almost complete, and I taught him how to build it. The other day, we checked the prototype, and you can assume that what we do is done.

"Our baptismal ceremony is the next day of fire, because Benno said we wanted to make the last piece of paper, but there's nothing we can do about the weather."

"Even if I don't finish the last piece of paper, I'm surprisingly rich right now."

It is a small piece of silver coin that I get as cash, and I give it to my family every time I sell paper. With just a few improvements to the food situation, there has been no major change in life, but the money you keep in your guild is an amazing amount of money. The weather was beautiful, the paper was relatively well made and the trombe paper was pricey.

In a recent purchase, my savings exceeded two large pieces of gold. Lutz is already two big gold coins. Whatever you think, it's not the amount of money a pre-christening child has.

Well, after the baptism ceremony, I won't be able to make any money for a while.

I was wondering if I would ever forget it by the baptismal ceremony.

"Lutz, let's go to Mr. Benno's today. I totally forgot."

"Huh? You haven't promised anything to your husband, have you?

"I didn't make any promises, but the christening ceremony's the next fire day, right? You should make sure you have nothing to prepare to become an apprentice.... Lutz's parents aren't merchants, so their parents won't get the tools ready, will they?

"... ah!

After the christening ceremony, she begins her work as an apprentice, so the christening gifts are set as work clothes and work tools. From now on, parents who are ahead of the kids who are going to go the same way, choosing tools and presenting them with the meaning of "good luck."

But Lutz can't get his parents ready.

The reason is that my father still disagrees with me. And I don't know the tools to prepare because my parents aren't merchants. Then there's the fact that you don't know how much money it costs to prepare for a merchant apprenticeship.

Benno told me I needed clothes, and I'm ordering them, but I don't think that's all right.

Even during the needle apprenticeship touri, my parents gave me a set of clothes and sewing tools for work on the day of baptism. It is likely that merchants also need tools other than clothing.

Fortunately, the funds are saved, so I can buy what I need myself. Ask Benno or Marc and they'll tell you.

"You don't really understand tools other than clothes. I study in rookie education, so I'm guessing there's stone slabs and calculators, but what else is there?

"I can buy most of my stuff now. Mine's right. I'm glad I saved up."

Although Aunt Carla can now take Lutz's side, her aunt can't do anything against becoming a merchant. I'm not connected to a merchant, and my uncle's opinion remains the same. However, for scolding my brothers for having a terrible attitude, Rutz says life has gotten a little easier.

"It's best to go ask Mr. Benno because it's Mr. Benno who Lutz is an apprentice and will be his guardian"

With my usual tote bag, me and Lutz headed to Benno's in more and more weather.

"Oh, wasn't it a few days away that the paper could be done?

Marc, who is largely aware of our plans, found us and looked lightly at us.

"Mr. Benno has been consulted.... Should I tell Mr. Marc first?

Sure, Marc should have been in charge of apprenticeship education at this store.

"What is it?

"I want you to tell me the tools you need to apprentice. Lutz's parents are not merchants, so I don't know what work tools to give them at the christening ceremony, so I have to prepare what I need..."

"Oh, right. I didn't think of it."

After watching lightly, Marc frowned a little and put his hand on the temple.

"It's already baptismal ceremony, will you make it? If Mr. Benno is going to be your guardian, should I consult Mr. Benno?

"Right. After talking to your husband, you should act."

When he is put through the back room, as usual, he piles up boards and paper on his desk, and Benno writes somewhat of a gassi as he seems busy.

"Sir, Lutz and Mine are visiting for a consultation"

"What's up?

Without resting the hand you are writing on the board, Benno asks. I gently pushed Lutz's back and urged him to say so himself.

"Sir, I've come to talk to you about the tools that apprentices prepare for"

"A tool for apprentices to prepare?

Did you finish writing to a good cut, Benno put the pen down and raised his face? I add my explanation to Benno, who looks suspicious if he doesn't know what it means.

"Normally I think it's something parents prepare for, but Lutz's parents aren't merchants, so I don't know what I need. What do you need when you become an apprentice? It's not just clothes, is it?

"Oh, right. Go shopping with Marc. There was also a report that the clothes I ordered before were ready, so make a few dresses as I go to get them."

"Okay."

Lutz tilted his neck loosely next to me nodding.

"Get dressed or a few?

"Naturally. There's no way you can work in the same clothes for days, is there? Smell it. It's gonna be a big deal."

It looks pretty important because it's a store where nobility deals with them, too. You can't leave in front of a customer with good clothes or thin dirty clothes. In fact, all the employees who work in this store dress in a small, beautiful way.

"Do you change every time?

"Yes."

"... seriously?

The same goes for Touri, but perhaps Rutz's house, too, washes the work clothes used for work once a week. There is no concept of my mother changing her work clothes every time at work on her day off.

I don't even have a number of regular clothes, so I'll keep wearing the same clothes until the clothes I wash are dry. If you do laundry, many houses don't wash as much as possible until you can hardly stand it, except underwear, because the fabric is damaged little by little.

Unlike Benno, who works lower, it would be hard for a mother to ask Lutz, who has the lowest level of domestic hierarchy, to change and wash her clothes every time. But it's more than necessary to do the job.

"If you can't tell Aunt Carla, why don't Lutz make sure she washes herself? I have a day off during my apprenticeship."

"Ugh..."

"If you were a resident apprentice, you'd have to do it yourself anyway."

"Yes, you are."

Unlike my common sense so far, I can see I'm surprised. But I just have to swallow that it's the common sense of the society I belong to from now on.

"If you hit a different common sense, I know you'd be surprised, but you just have to get used to it. It's necessary to keep the customer from feeling uncomfortable. I mean the difference between an artisan and a merchant."

"Right."

Benno also looked like he was in a culture shock when Lutz was nodding. I blinked slowly, squeaking.

"You're really different from where life is basic."

"So if you think it's even a little strange, point it out. I really don't know."

"Oh, let's be careful.... Marc, please two"

"Yes, sir"

Wait for Marc's work to come to a paragraph, and the three of us go get the clothes we could. Marc has given up on holding me up and moving me because it has become a specification during workshop preparation.

"Welcome"

The clerk picked us up, looked at Marc and us, and seemed to know what to do right away. Me and Lutz are urged by the clerk to take us to the back room.

"Come on, try it on"

The clothes offered to the clerk are simple blouses and skirts, but they were made with a good measure, so naturally they fit perfectly. It's just new clothes with no joints, tension, but it's bespoke.

Raise your arms up and down, crouching and standing, making sure you're comfortable, but very comfortable, with nowhere to bump or tighten.

"Wow. It feels good to wear"

"Yes, that's good. Marc said he was going to wear these today, so I'm going to wrap them up."

While I was trying on, Rutz seemed to have ordered two more extras with the same size of design, and Marc and Rutz, who were talking to the clerk, noticed me and turned here.

"You're so cute. Just change your clothes and you'll look like a good kid."

"Oh, you look like a lady."

The two of us compliment me and I get tense. I picked the end of my skirt.

"Really!? Pretty or ladylike? Not just clothes?

"If only I had grown up and not spoken."

"Mmmm.... but Lutz has been getting better posture lately, so he looks like a proper boob"

Rutz has been told by Benno about his familiarity, so he started to get as dirty as possible and wash his hair occasionally with a phosphor. Lutz's blonde hair is glossy and sparkly.

And ever since I told you to impress and set an example for the good posture of Marc, you've become aware of posture and movement, so when you change your clothes, you look like a boob. I don't really feel worn in clothes.

"Now you can go shopping in other stores"

It's not uncommon to eat a door advance in your outfit. After completing the payment by matching the guild cards, Marc took us to the next store, dressed up.

It was the stationery store that arrived.

When I opened the wooden door marked with a pen, there was a counter almost to the front, and a soft grandfather shop owner could see polishing something.

There was a shelf at the wall, with products lined up, but there were few items out in the store, and just one sample on the shelf at a time. It's a normal shop in this city. The only thing that is small is the customer service space, which is mostly a warehouse.

It's a shame you can't compare products, although you may have no choice but to prevent theft.

"Mr. Marc, what do you need?

"Right. Is it parchment for entering into ink, pens and employment contracts? You had the tablet, the stone brush, the calculator, didn't you? And then, with some wood tags, you'll be fine."

I listened to Marc and sighed gently. This is not a price I can buy for Lutz's parents. Although we can now buy it, neither ink nor parchment is so easy to buy in our living areas.

"Me too! I want ink and a pen too."

I hitched a ride to Lutz and I decided to buy ink and a pen too. I am impressed that I am able to buy my own ink that should have been expensive and out of reach.

Grandpa the shop owner arranged my share of ink and pen on the counter. I took the ink and pen in my hand after I settled it by matching my guild cards.

"Yay! My ink and pen!

Unlike me, who takes the ink I bought and the wooden pen and rejoices around with a full smile, Lutz's expression is a bitter laugh.

"Don't keep losing the money you were saving.... merchants cost so much money"

A small shop should be ready with the right tools. They don't buy parchment for employment contracts. It would be done with a wooden plaque.

"It's not just because you're a merchant, it's because Mr. Benno's shop is huge. But you can still afford the money, right?

"But it's been a day. I'm getting a little nervous because I've lost so much. I can't rely on my parents, and I want to make more paper by the christening ceremony"

"I don't have much time anymore, I hope it clears up"

Return to Benno's store and report that you have finished shopping. Benno said to us, "Next time you come to the store, come with your clothes." He had his heartbeat pressed when he looked like a proper apprentice.

"Hey, Lutz. Where do you want me to keep this? Warehouse?"

"That's the safest thing..."

It's a little cumbersome, but Benno glanced lightly over his shoulder as he rutzed the story about whether to borrow the warehouse keys and leave the items he bought.

"You don't have to put anything else in the warehouse, you can leave it in your own room, okay?

"Um, Mr. Benno. Because I don't have my own room. I can only hold my stuff in a crate."

Benno circled his eyes when he pointed out the difference in standard of living. Even looking at Corinna's house, there was room for the number of rooms. Apparently, Benno, who grew up as a trail for a big store, had no acquaintances around him like he didn't have a room of his own.

"We're a little worse than Mine's house. Because even if it's in my crate, it can be fished out on its own."

"What do you mean?

Benno's eyes stain with surprise. I explain Lutz's living conditions to Benno, who only narrows his eyes to incomprehensibility.

"I'm the youngest of four brothers, Lutz. That's why it's so hard for the ladies upstairs to do whatever they want."

"Whatever it takes, steal your brothers' things?

"It's my brother's, so I'm fine. My brother's belongs to my brother. It feels like my brother's stuff belongs to my brother."

Listening to Rutz's home environment, Benno held down his temples. Maybe the standard of living is too different to imagine.

Even though he lost his father and a hard-worker who supported his family, Benno has never been fished for luggage by his family, and I guess he has never had any trouble putting things away. He looks stunned.

"Lutz. Why don't you leave your stuff on top? Let's rent you a room for an apprentice. If we lose everything we have because of it before the christening ceremony, or if they steal what we need for work, there will be an obstacle to our future work, and the warehouse is too far away"

"... thank you"

Benno's measurements made it possible to use one apprenticeship room on the top floor, cheap and instead of a warehouse. Put everything you buy here and lock it up, and no one else will have to worry about you stealing it.

"Next time you go to the store, get dressed here before you go?

"I will."

For the first time, Lutz, with his own space, smiles full face. I also decided to let them put the baggage I had bought away until I left. "If we have time, we're going to the commercial guild," Benno said, "so we won't be home any time soon.

"If you don't tell me about the Alliance, I won't be able to do your job."

The merchant children go into and out of the commercial guild many times with the help of their parents, so they routinely help them get the paperwork out. The first job an apprentice can do when entering a store is to use it for a commercial guild.

But Lutz hasn't been to a commercial guild since he delivered Frieda's hair decorations, so he can't do such a job. Never have.

"Is there anything else going on?

With the merchant's child in mind what he can do for granted, Benno lets Lutz hold some application documents to his commercial guild. I decided to go out with you, too, with the intention of reading the wooden plaque on the bookcase.

"Wow..."

"This is terrible."

In front of the commercial guild facing Central Square there were a number of carriages waiting in line for the order, or leaving the carriage to the passengers to see also the traveller heading for the application, a situation in which the crowds were already visible.

"There seems to be a lot of people upstairs."

"The baptismal ceremony is near and the day the city stands."

The crowd upstairs was amazing, as predicted by the carriage lined up outside. Lutz walks behind Benno to the back stairs, screwed up. I am always held up by Benno, so I will not be messed up.

As soon as I presented my guild card to the keeper in front of the stairs and started going up the stairs, the hustle and bustle disappeared all the time. I'm sure there's some sorcery on that fence that won't let the sound through.

"You have a pretty tough job, too."

If you don't scratch that wave yourself without Benno's lead, you can't use it. Lutz sighed hah.

"Be careful, because sometimes people steal documents or rub them away"

"Yes."

"Well, first of all, this paperwork..."

Benno heads to the counter, explaining to Lutz. I turned my back on Benno and tried to go to the bookcase, but he slapped me on the head with a pessimistic slap and grabbed me by the root.

"Where are you going, here"

"... the bookcase is calling me."

"It's my fault. I didn't call you. If you're going to be a workshop manager, listen to me."

"Huh."

Ask Benno to teach you how to use the guild. I can tell you in detail how to receive it, where to serve the paperwork, etc.

Especially since I try to develop new products, I was told that it is important to browse registered contract magic.

"Apply here and you can browse registered contract magic"

"Oh, Mine."

From behind the counter, a pale pink twin tail rushed over. You can't be wrong to look at it. It's Frieda, the guild leader's granddaughter. Obviously he looks like an apprentice at work.

When I was surprised that I didn't expect to see him here, Frieda put her hand on her hips and pointed her lips dissatisfied.

"Spring is coming to an end, but you're not coming to see me at all"

"Oh, I'm sorry. Pretty busy..."

It's true I've been busy making paper and workshops, but I'm sorry. I thought I was done making sweets and fulfilled my promise, and that was enough. If I go, the solicitation is amazing, I don't know where the trap is in the conversation, and I'm restless.

"I'm off tomorrow, and I need you to come to my house."

"Huh? But tomorrow if the weather is good..."

There was only a moment of force at Benno's fingertips being put on his shoulders.

I wanted to say that I wanted to make the paper that was left, but remember that we were told to stay as low as possible that we were making paper, and I hurriedly shut my mouth on the way.

Frieda grinned nicely after she turned her gaze to Benno's hand.

"If it rains tomorrow, I'll pick you up. If the weather were nice, you'd be busy, but if it was raining, you'd play with me, wouldn't you? When it's spring, what I promised it would be time for spring to end"

"Ugh..."

It's hard to say no when you say so. I certainly can't make paper if the weather is bad, so I can afford it. Frieda keeps hunting me down.

"I'd like to ask you a few questions or talk to you about eating."

"Oh, I might have wanted to ask you something too"

Frieda is the one who knows most about eating around me. I've been wanting to hear it, so it helps to have the opportunity to talk.

In my words Frieda let her face shine, her hands together with her pussy.

"If it's raining, fine. Make a cattle curl. I'll be waiting."

"Right. If it were rain..."

The moment I accept being attracted to Katorkar, I add a lot of strength to my shoulders. He was laughing as Benno raised his blood vessels in his temples.

"Mine"

"If it rains tomorrow, we'll talk about it, Mr. Benno."

"Yes, yes. If it rains tomorrow, we're talking about it, right?

I was gagged at Frieda for laughing nicely and giving me a help ship. I petite tap my finger trying to eat into my shoulder and look up at Benno.

Benno roared "this abalone" in a low voice.

"It's gonna rain tomorrow."

"Huh?"

They don't have to have a weather forecast or anything, but they all know the weather.

The rain, which began to fall in the evening, did not stop the next day.
