Ascendance of a Bookworm

Baptismal matrix

Baptist morning is busy, mainly with my mother.

After breakfast, I clean up, and my parents change into a bunch of clothes, so they get mad and rushed when I'm sleeping or having breakfast in the first place.

I am about to get stuck in my throat, finishing my breakfast and getting dressed in my bedroom with Tulli while my mother is cleaning up.

By my mother and Touri, the costume, which had been applied little by little, was no longer just picking the excess and flickering. Using the small flower made by hand in winter, small flowers are embellished here and there, resulting in over-decoration.

If Benno hadn't given me the extra yarn for my winter hand job, I wouldn't have been able to afford this.

I wore a flirty piece just like a t-shirt, then wrapped the blue sash around my waist and tied it into a bow tie. The tip of the sash is shaking around the tibia.

"Mine, you were gonna double it, weren't you?

Touri frowned softly.

I untied the sash once, and twisted it around my stomach. But I managed to tie it in the winter, but it's a little short of length and I can't tie it beautifully.

"Is that it? Did you eat too much in the morning? Did you get hungry?

"No, I'm not. Mine's grown."

"Huh? Me, grown up?

"Maybe. I made a costume hem to fit under my knee, but it's about the middle of my knee. I'm getting a little big."

They were growing between winter and summer. It's normal for a normal child, but if I do it and I'm a slow-growing eater, I rarely get to feel the growth.

Unlike me, who trembles with emotion, Touri was realistic. I'm thinking about wearing it, staring at the edge of the blue sash.

"... Either way, you're halfway in length. It gets to the point of not being a little sloppy. Hang up?"

"No, it's a waste. He said he didn't need to hang up because he wanted to be seen so much. You just have to double it."

"You couldn't."

"Double the ribbon, not the belly."

Turn the blue sash into a gnarly, tight double bow tie at your stomach. Just like a kimono belt, if you tie it properly, just shrug the ribbon part around your back and you're done.

"How's it going? Length okay?

"Lovely! Wow! How do you do it!?

"Er..."

I tried to explain, and my mother came into my bedroom.

"If you're done dressing, Mine should get her hair done quickly. I'll get dressed, too."

"Huh. Touri, I'll see you later."

Just move to the kitchen and get your hair done. I had a phosphor last night, so my whole family's hair is tight. Yesterday my father rarely looked at me like he wanted me to join him, so I washed him.

I asked him how he suddenly felt like that, and it was Otto's fault for bragging about having washed up with Corinna. He wanted to be a rear charger.

"Mine, let me do it"

As I combed my hair with a tweezer, Touri's eyes came shining. He wants to do it this time because I tied my hair at Thuri's christening ceremony.

"Mine goes around with hair decorations, so I can't do it, and let it comb with a"

"Well, please"

Touri combs his nose together when I give him a song. You seem in a very good mood.

"Mine's hair is straight and very pretty, isn't it? Smells good to me."

"Toori smells the same, doesn't she?

Give thanks to Tulli for combing me, and I'll half-up as usual, being careful where I hold my every shaking hair ornament so I don't squeeze it. Even if I want to have an elaborate hairstyle, I can't do it because I can't put it together with strings and then it will unravel.

"Come on."

Even with decorations, it's the usual thing to do, so I'm done getting my hair done right away.

I found myself shaking a small flower that was heavier than usual and had a slight shake in my head. I'm having a little fun and shaking my head and Thuri is happy to slap me in the hand.

"Wow, cute! They look great on Mine's hair color! It's nice to loosen up every time you move."

"You look great, Mine."

"What lady are you really? Mine's the cutest thing in the baptism ceremony today."

My parents, dressed, also come out of their bedrooms and praise my sunshine. I'd love to be complimented on letting go like this, but it's kinda illuminating.

"Dad, that's what I said when I was in Touri."

"Naturally. Our daughter is the cutest."

That is what my father catches Touri and me with one arm at a time. My father caught me and Touri trying to escape from my father's arms in chaos, so that he wouldn't miss it, laughing Kerakera.

"Yikes! My hair breaks down!

"Already! That's all I'm kidding. I'm going outside."

My father let go of my mother's words, but it seemed too late. My mother sighed when she saw my hair, which was a little out of breath.

"Mine, if you don't fix it again, it's crumbling."

"Sorry."

Laughing at the appearance of my father, who praises and apologizes, I pull out my chin once and re-insert it. Hair that cannot be made into an elaborate hairstyle, but it does not add to the habit, so even if it is slightly disturbed, it returns immediately with its hands.

"Looks like they're already gathering downstairs."

Touri, who ran to the front door, opened the door wide and invited him. When you go down the stairs and out into the well square, you can see that there are already a lot of neighbors out there.

"There's Ralph and the others over there. I knew Rutz was going to fall back on Ralph."

When Touri looked in the direction he pointed, he saw Lutz dressed in the sunshine of Ralph's descent, surrounded by a large crowd. Though I did not see Ralph's baptismal ceremony, neither did I know if he would back down.

Lutz's sunny clothes are white shirts, white trousers, and a sash of water. Maybe it's used from Zasha's baptism ceremony at the top. Both sash and embroidery were tailored to Zasha.

"Lutz"

"Well, Mine!? What's wrong with that costume!? You're not like a rich lady!

Aunt Carla caught me before I went to Rutz's. The surrounding attention is drawn to Aunt Carla's well-sounding loud voice.

It's Tulli's back.

"This is the back!?

"Yes, my shoulder was sloppy, so after I put it together here, I strapped my shoulders and sewed the fabric away because I had extra sides, and I just stitched the hem up to the right length and sewed it together."

A brief explanation of how to fix it brings straw and wife together. I'm pretty short of the average around the same age, so I'm a little scared when I try to sit back from the top and be surrounded and looked down by many adults. Unexpectedly grip my mother's skirt behind me.

"Heh, it doesn't look like a fix. It looks like a fancy costume."

"Which one? Hmm, that's something you can do because you have a completely different physique with Touri and Mine. Well, we can't."

"Haha, if you think the sash is a lot more luxurious, it's too long and it's double"

Between conversations that say what you like to say to each other, the blessings of "congratulations" go in, but I feel that something is going on.

"You've got a lot of elaborate hair decorations, too. This is expensive, isn't it?

When attention was drawn to the hair decoration and its price, my mother laughed and shook her head.

"We made it ourselves, so it didn't cost us anything. I fixed my sunshine, so I didn't need the thread I was going to make this kid's sunshine."

"Really? My daughter wants me to buy it for her christening ceremony. If you can make it, why don't you tell me how to make it?

"I have a thin pin for knitting yarn. With that, the rest is easy"

You don't think I can speak up. All the spearheads of the question are directed at my mother. The question began to come to my mother, so I went away from my aunt's circle. It still looks like a slightly unusual costume and hair decoration have become the focus of attention.

All right, successful escape.

The moment I exhaled a ho relief, I was surrounded by a girl intrigued by costumes and hair decorations. You ladies who finished baptism by the time I could get to the woods, and Touri anyway, I'm a little older girls who don't have much contact.

"Oh, really cute!

"Show me, show me! Touri made this, didn't he? Wow!"

The moment she grabbed the tweezer, the tweezer fell out and her hair fell off.

"Ah!"

"Oh, I'm sorry. What shall we do..."

I broke my set hair because of it, and the baby grew blue while holding onto the clasp.

I offered my hand and laughed nicely.

"It's okay, 'cause I can fix it right away"

Give me back my hair, and I'll fix it. I shrug my hair softly, wrap it around the wax, twist and insert it.

"Huh? Huh? How did you do that? Isn't this just a decoration?

"Ugh, it's a decoration, but I can tie it. My mine is amazing."

For some reason Thuri is answering with his chest stretched. Afterwards, he was admired by the double bow ties, observed picking all over the costume, and began to explain that as Touri seemed to be good at it. Though I seem to enjoy it briskly, what I'm saying and doing is no different from my aunts.

And the wheel came out, and I breathed out. I usually feel more tired because I never get surrounded by a face I don't know this much about.

Looking for a place to rest, I went to Lutz.

"Lutz ~"

"Oh, Mine. I finally escaped my mother..."

Lutz, who turned this way, suddenly took a breath and solidified.

"Hmm? What's going on?

"No, it's nothing. The..."

"What's up, that costume? That's a lot different than when I was in Touri."

I made sure I could push Rutz away, and Ralph came out.

"I fixed Thuri's sunny clothes...... hia! Zasha, stay here, put it down!

"Congratulations, Mine. You're so tiny and cute. Lutz isn't cute anymore."

"Congratulations, Mine. That sundress looks great on you! But you're a real pussy. You don't look like you're going to the baptism."

"I've grown a little bit, too. Sieg, you might not know!

I should have gone to Lutz's for healing, but he swings at Lutz's brothers. Lutz changed his blood phase and stopped the ladies.

"Brothers, suck! Mine's complexion!

"Hey, Mine. Hang on. The christening is coming up!?

While Zasha holds me up, I pull myself out of the way. Next year, adult Zasha will have almost the same stability as adults.

"I want to go home now."

"I haven't even gone yet."

Karan Karan...... and the temple bell rang. It spreads across the city with multiple attention. It's a sign of departure for the christening ceremony.

Of all the neighbors who use the same well, only me and Lutz are going to be at the baptism this time. Wow, I was surrounded by noisy adults.

"Mine, let's go! We're going to the boulevard!

When my father lifted me up from Zasha's arms, he began to take the lead and head for the main street. I see Rutz rushing after him, and it's over my father's shoulder that my family and adults follow.

Turning to the other side of the boulevard, I saw the children and their families going out of the alley here and there to the baptismal ceremony, just as during the baptismal ceremony in Touri, and the spectators coming out one after the other to fill the edge of the boulevard.

"Mine, are you okay?

"Hmm, what do you think?

From afar, the cheer of wow approaches me step by step. Apparently, the queue is approaching.

"Rest till you reach the temple."

"I will. Thanks, Dad."

I am to be lifted up to the temple by the Father to proceed. Because I can't walk at the same speed as the queue, and if I crash during the queue, the baptismal ceremony will be ruined.

My father is aiming for the position of parent front row at the rear of the child, as the children in white costumes are lined up behind them and the family will follow them. However, when Lutz comes with him in that position, he's likely to be buried and invisible except to people.

"Lutz can go forward, can't he?

"No, if we leave, we'll be looking for you at the temple, so we'll be together."

"So, at least Lutz walks over the edge? As you can see around Mr. Benno's shop."

"... I will"

The queue passes right in front of you. I joined Lutz and the queue as I was held up by my father. Because of the high point of view, the surroundings are well visible, unlike during the baptismal ceremony of Thuri, which was buried in the queue.

Blessed are people waving loud and high from both sides of the boulevard and whistling in a pussy. The windows of the building facing the boulevard are wide open and the bellboys let their mouths wave a word of celebration.

The children in the queue could be seen waving back at the people along the way and those who glanced through the windows and scattered with a proud smile that was just ripe.

"Mine also waves back properly. Thank you in return."

"It is."

My father pointed me out, so I let go of one hand I was clinging to and smile and wave. What came to mind as an example was the royal people responding to cheers with a gentle smile.

Yes, like that! Classy!

I just made up my mind, not smiling and gesturing like I could all of a sudden, but if you decide on an example, you can try to imitate it as much as possible. Anyway, in this city, you say, "You're imitating the Imperial Family!?" I don't know what to be laughed at.

I made a smile as calm as possible and waved slowly only elegantly and gracefully.

Wow, they're pointing at me, and they're paying attention to something!?

I feel prominent because my father is holding me up, and I get noticed if I do. Everyone looks at the queue, so I guess it doesn't mean I'm the only one who's noticed.

"Mine, I'm gonna disagree with you because of your weak arm."

"Yeah."

Change your position while waiting for queues coming from other streets in Central Square.

Until we rendezvoused here. I also saw it during the baptism ceremony in Touri. After gathering in Central Square, you walk towards the Temple in front of the Wall.

The temple, visible from the central square, is a white stone building, just as tall as the walls above the outer walls. It is a large and splendid building, but due to the positional relationship with thin, long windows lined high up or built to stick out of the walls, I think it might have been originally used as part of fortifications and walls.

Um, but do you want to use a building like the one used by soldiers for religion? There should have been religious officials out there in the wartime rescue, but if it was a religious facility to be used on a daily basis, it should be built with money wound up from the faithful, or donations...

The criteria for my thinking are really limited to knowledge in Japan, so no matter how much I think about it, it's not always the right answer. It's just fun to give thought to whether there was anything similar in architectural style or appearance about an establishment called the Temple that I hadn't noticed before.

We rendezvous, so we walk towards the temple. From around here, the costumes of the people out on the streets and the children they join have changed visibly. Fabric you can see it costs money, basically white but plenty of embroidery on the hem.

After a short walk, I saw Benno's shop. Faces that look familiar surrounding Benno, Marc, Otto and Corinna are lined up in front of the store.

"Lutz, I see Mr. Benno and Mr. Marc. Otto and Corinna are out in front of the store celebrating."

"Are you serious?

Unlike me, who can see the surroundings from the same gaze as my father, Lutz is in the queue, so I still don't seem to see Benno's shop.

When Lutz finally found Benno's shop and began to smile and wave, the employee raised his voice to match Marc's behavior, who softly raised his hand.

"Congratulations, Lutz, Mine!

I was too conspicuously surprised, but we were all happy to celebrate, and me and Lutz waved loudly. The mood is too exhilarating, and there are no more shards of royalty.

Nicole laughed. Otto holds Corinna's shoulder with his left hand and waves his right hand. Corinna also waved at me with a soft smile.

"Stop by the temple and say thank you"

That's what my father, who seems as happy as I am, says as he gashigashi strokes Lutz's head walking beside him. Of course me and Lutz nodded loudly.

"Hey, Mine. Sir, don't you look frightened?

"Does that look like it to Lutz, after all?

Of all the employees who wave at me with a full grin, only one, Benno, is looking at this one, holding his temples and frowning.

Um, Mr. Benno, why do you look like you did when you did something extra? I haven't done anything today, have I?

Finally, the temple is approaching. In the distance, you can see more and more clearly the details of the temple, which was a large white building. Reliefs line the walls sloppily, and four stone statues line each side of the entrance. I can't tell if it's a statue of God here or just a decoration.

Pass in front of Frieda's house as you capture the queue entering the temple at the edge of your sight. I see the guild chief and his family arraying the boulevard in a general outing. There was even the appearance of Ilse and Utte.

"Congratulations, Mine!

"Thanks"

I was glad that those who knew would celebrate me in this way, and I called out loud as I waved.

"Frieda!"

The guild chief held Frieda up against his father. Frieda, who looked surprised, laughs and waves back at me.

"Mine, it's lovely."

Frieda's voice sounded small in the surrounding cheers.

I see a doorman standing in front of a few stairs entering the temple. It wears simplified armor on blue based clothing. I could see the fine decorations, and from the well-polished and glowing armor and the glossy beautiful blue costumes, I could see that they were also fitting for the ritual.

Fine sculptures and finely crafted wooden gates like large, double-open doors that are more than twice the height of adults. A white cobblestone square stretched long beside it as it crept through a gate that was completely open.

There is a large building about five floors in front of me, a slightly smaller three-story building on both sides, all connected by a crossing. All the buildings were made of the same white stone, and only the building in the middle was decorated with sculptures and relief.

"Come on, that's it for the parents. Lutz, I'm sorry, but Mine, please."

"Yeah, I got it."

Lowered down by my father, I hold hands with Lutz and walk towards the rear of the queue towards the wide open door.

The children, who were so excited and fussy, also whispered as they entered the temple, and the volume of the hustle and bustle dropped slightly.

"Hey, Mine."

Lutz's call sounded better than I thought.

I looked at Lutz and whispered, "What? If you ask back," Lutz will look at you in the ear like he tells a secret story. Turning forward, clarity of ear, Lutz whispered with a whisper.

"The clothes and hair decorations look amazing. Pretty and surprised."

If everyone said it in praise, I could return "thank you" with a normal smile, but just before entering a temple like this, I'd have trouble reacting if I was whispered softly.

"Huh? Huh? What, suddenly..."

Unexpectedly looking up at Lutz, Lutz had a really neat smile, like the obsession had been solved.

"My brothers took me and told me, so I thought I'd tell you where I wasn't."

"Oh, yeah? Yeah, thanks."

I enter the temple holding my bouncing heart in one hand, holding my hand together with Lutz.

It was at the rear of the line, so the interaction seemed to be round in the square, even if I didn't hear it. When the adults in the square saw us walking into the temple holding hands, they said, "Well, sweetie. Sounds like a little wedding," he fussed, "and it was after the christening ceremony that I learned that my father had dropped him off with his teeth clenched.
