Ascendance of a Bookworm

Benno's Sermon

The temple chief and the clergyman, the fact that their eyes are glitching, makes them lump. You noticed me accidentally pulling my face, the chief cleric brought the scripture.

Until Lutz picks me up, I'm going to have the scriptures read and I'm glad they teach me all kinds of things on my lap just like earlier, but I feel weird pressure or I feel very much like getting away with it.

"A boy named Lutz is coming to the gate to pick up Mine."

The grey cleric came into the room a little after the 5 bells rang. I stroke my breasts down to the fact that the waiting reception came.

"Lutz came for me? Then I, I have to go home. Chief Temple, Chief Cleric, thank you for your long help today."

"Okay, Mine. I want you to give this to your parents."

It was an invitation that was handed to me. It's the same subpoena you can't refuse an invitation from the temple chief. The date and time indicated was the time of 3 bells the day after tomorrow. Cochlear and breathtaking, I received the wood plaque.

"Lutz! Thanks for picking me up!

"Hey, what!?

The moment I saw Lutz waiting for me where he left the temple, the unspeakable relief spread. If I held him still with emotion and expressed my gratitude, Lutz held me up without falling, although I could have done a little.

Rutz sighed as he pressed his head around Rutz's shoulder.

"Maybe you did something to him again?

"... maybe I did. I don't know what I did, but I feel like I did the biggest suicide bomber thing"

Lutz laughed nicely as he was gently tapping Pompom and my head.

"Your husband's waiting for you with a bloody smile on his face."

"Huh?... Can I go home now? I'm tired today."

"They're telling me to bring him in even if I grab the root, and if Mine's complexion now, he's still fine"

"Ahhhh..."

I can't believe I've already shrunk my nerves in the temple, but I'm going to have to stick them in Benno's sermon flag. I feel betrayed by Lutz who believed I was on his side.

When he was taken to Benno's shop in the mood of a calf to be donned, Benno seemed to be waiting, and was immediately put through to the back room.

When he tells me to sit in my usual seat, Marc stands in front of Benno, behind Benno, and Lutz is not next to me, but next to Benno.

"Long time no see, Mine."

"... ha-hi"

"Well, there's a heap of things to say..."

The story that is about to come out is going to be very long, and I will harden myself. Benno exhaled slowly and opened his mouth.

"It's a message from Corinna before my story. He wanted me to show him the sunshine and hair decorations he was wearing at the baptism ceremony. That was a lot of unusual costumes. That was pretty eye-catching. What did you think I made you into that costume?

"I just fixed Tulli's back. It doesn't make any sense. I don't care enough to show you, but I don't know if I'll ask my mother who made the costume."

"Right. Then listen to me."

After he had said so lightly, Benno looked at me carefully, putting his hands together on the table so that he might ride himself out slightly.

"Come on, let's get you washed up and thrown up. Depending on what happened in the temple, I have to think about your future treatment."

"Huh? Didn't Lutz tell you?

A few days have passed since the christening ceremony. I thought I was listening to you from Lutz at all, but he didn't hear Benno.

"The information in the biography is really distorted. You don't have to bother asking Lutz if you have a chance to ask us, do you? Besides, there may be information you dare to hide."

In the eyes of the beast that found his prey, - he breathed a little. This looks like a tough pursuit hand.

"... where do I start talking?

"After I fell at the christening ceremony. Tell Lutz what you've been up to since you left him."

He fell, searched for a water field, got lost, and entered the aristocratic space. So when the witch picked me up and told me the story of discovering the library, Benno looked lightly as surprised.

"The library? Was there such a thing in the temple..."

"You didn't even know Mr. Benno?

"I don't do dangerous imitations, normal guys, that get flustered into places that nobles use. Be aware of your stupidity. What do you do when you step in danger from yourself?

"Ugh..."

Indeed, Benno's opinion is perfectly correct because it was not a place for ordinary people to come and go. Though as far as I was concerned, I was quite pleased because I found the library by being lost.

"The witch told me that I couldn't go into the library except for the temple officials, so I quickly tried to become a witch apprentice and appealed directly to the temple chief who would give me permission"

"Use your head for a little while! I have no idea!

"Come on, come on!

I can twist both cheeks on Benno as he embarks on me. Marc and Lutz looked natural and didn't help.

Benno urges me ahead with a grumpy face holding down my tingling cheeks.

"So? Did you get permission?

"I was told that with my parents' permission and donations, they would make me an apprentice"

"Donation? Did you?

Benno frowned and looked harsh. I made a donation without thought and soon realized it was a face I was worried I wouldn't get permission.

To reassure Benno, I answer with a good chest.

"No, not yet. After thinking about the rough book price and the savings I have, I just talked about whether I could give up to one large gold coin as a library royalty, and I haven't made any donations yet. I'm not stupid enough to pay for it even though I haven't decided to put it in yet."

I was going to reassure you, but I dropped my shoulder, beginning with Benno, holding my head just saying that both Marc and Lutz had a headache.

"The amount is too ridiculous for words."

"I'm glad you handled it..."

"Naturally!

Thought it would be an expensive donation, but apparently the amount of the donation I offered was expensive enough for the big merchant to hold his head.

"So when I got home and told my parents, the clergyman and the witch were really pissed off that they couldn't because they had orphans."

"That would be so"

"The chief clergyman said there were noble children."

When my father was tilting his neck not sure why he was angry, Benno explained to me about the clergy, scratching Gasigasi's head.

"A cleric or witch would have had a blue costume and a gray costume, wouldn't they?

"Yes."

"It's nobility in blue, and gray is orphan. As followers and servants of blue clerics and witches, it is the gray clerics and witches who work in the temple, being used like slaves without pay"

"Huh!?

I thought the difference in color was about the difference between an apprentice and a formal cleric, but I didn't think it was that kind of difference.

"If you, not a nobleman, were to enter the temple, you would be a gray witch apprentice. There's no way my parents would forgive me."

I snorted. I found out why my father was so exasperated. That's definitely not the job I can do, and my daughter Love Father hates being in the temple.

"So, Lutz said he was going to say no today, but you, did you really say no?

"... er, when I told him about eating, he brought me something like a gold chalice held by a stone statue in the chapel, and when I touched it, it glowed, so I got an invitation to my parents"

Benno sighed heavily as he stimulated with grime and fingertips to rub his temples loose.

"... don't let this get totally taken away. I can only be glad that I can extend my life. You're lucky."

"Uh?"

I leaned my neck when I was told I was lucky to be taken by the temple. I don't know what that means. Leave me alone, Benno's got something in mind.

Benno looked up at me with a serious eye.

"Mine, aren't you willing to trade contract magic? We'll take care of what you made here."

"... why not?

All of a sudden, the word "contract magic" comes up, and I am unexpectedly alarmed. Benno looked at me, stroking his jaw.

"Even if it doesn't have to be now, you will surely be taken by the aristocrats. Contractual witchcraft is a must if you want to restrain the nobles."

"... Could it be that from the time of the first contract magic, you thought the nobles would take you away?

"No, I was just going to insure then. I didn't really know what kind of child you were, so the strongest thing I could do was to draw a straight line.... just because there was a chance that you might eat it. Mine will be signing with nobility to survive. I thought it would be effective in silencing the covenant aristocrats"

I can't say I'm very reciprocal. He traded contract magic with me and Lutz because he assumed the nobles would come out.

"I don't make contracts with nobles, do I?

"I've never had contact with nobility before, so I've managed with your will alone, but I can't if the temple takes me away. Act on the assumption that you will be taken away. There must be no aristocrat who doesn't try to take away the food that can produce so much product. Especially now."

"What do you mean now?

This is information that has finally come around here lately, but Benno whispered slightly as he prefaced.

"The Lords here were neutral or they persisted in their attitude of not being involved, so the aftermath was less, but it seems that the bigger territories were considerably involved in a central regime dispute. I heard that a massive solemnity took place and that the number of nobles was drastically reduced"

"Huh?"

Suddenly it became a noisy story. I'll try to pull out my knowledge of history, but I can't immediately guess which neighborhood times this will be in the first place and what developments await me in the future. I have no information, and I have no idea what I'm doing in the vortex that I can't look over.

"Naturally, people, money and things began to move in search of new connections and rights to fill the drastically diminished holes of nobility, to look for the sidelines, to adopt, to marry more. There are no numbers, so there will be massive returns to aristocratic society of blue clerics and witches who have until now been thrown into the temple like troublemakers. When that happens, do you know what happens to the temple?

Benno stared at me, and I leaned my neck. I tried to help Marc and Lutz and send him a gaze, but Marc gave me a clear smile, and Lutz only returns a reaction that leans his neck in the same way.

"Um, is there anything wrong with missing nobles? I don't even know how the temple works or what it does. I don't think of it. Wouldn't it be nice if there were fewer people using the gray clerics?

"First, donations decrease. Then, fewer people use the orphans, so the orphans fall for work. Orphans make it even harder to live."

"Isn't it tough!

When I shouted unexpectedly, Benno shook his head in a sigh mix.

"Something much harder has happened. I said you were touched. Holy Grail. The Temple guys call it a magic trick, but it's actually magic tricks. Blue clerics and witches pour out their magic and accumulate it, which they use in their spring prayer ceremonies, but their power ceases to accumulate. When that happens, crop yields are reduced"

"Yeah yeah!?

I didn't think that the Holy Grail was directly connected to such a serious matter. I was surprised that it glowed, but I only thought about it as much as a costly decoration to show off God's majesty.

Harvesting crops is an absolute necessity to live. The hardest thing to lose is the poor living in cities like ours.

"Until before the coup d 'état, there were extra aristocratic children. Eating was nothing but an obstacle to the nobility who wanted to monopolize magic. But now that the aristocracy has diminished and it is harder to use magic equipment, the food will be taken to the temple and become quite necessary."

"Um, what does eating have to do with magic?

To my question, Benno looked so surprised that his jaw was about to fall and held his head as unbelievable.

"You, didn't you know? Eating is a state in which the magic in your body breaks out."

"Yeah!?

"By transferring magic to a magic tool, you can control it on your own."

"I've never known it before"

It seems I was a witch. I can't believe it's magical. Isn't that a promise of reincarnation? So you're saying I finally got a show, too. You mean you can defeat Byrne and his enemies with overflowing magic, or use flashy magic?...... hmm? What's an enemy?

When I was just flying my mind a little farther into the information I first found out, Benno slapped me in the head gently, asking.

"Nobles also tend to have strong magic if they are senior nobles, and lower nobles tend to have weak magic. And the poor nobleman, who has no money, cannot prepare magic equipment for all the children born. They say it's not uncommon to leave only magical traces at home and keep other children in the temple."

This means that the blue priests who are now in the temple will be aristocrats who were thrown out by their parents if they cannot be raised. I have trouble without you, but I think you're sad.

"In other words, even though nobles of less powerful magic have been hoarding and divine in man-made sea tactics until now, each and every one of them is burdened with a dramatic decline in numbers. If I suck now, I may not be in enough condition. How many blue clerics were there at the baptism?

"About 10 people."

I still have new memories of having my abs collapsed by a gorgeously aligned GOOKO.

"There are about 20 of us all the time, 10 of us. It's also called back to the house from the magical one, so guess what the magic of the remaining young one is. A strong magical eater must want enough to get his hands out of his throat. It's just that this is probably the only time. The number of aristocrats has fallen dramatically, and only for a short period of time until the nobles they were born to grow up."

"Huh."

If it's a short period of time, you might want to work in the temple to provide magic. Would you swallow it if you offered me the terms of exchange for magic and book viewing?

Mmm, thinking, at some point Benno, who had been circling behind me, began to circle his head with his fist bones.

"Are you listening to me?

"No! No!

"You have both magic and gold producing products. Come on, man, be aware! How delicious a prey I am to the aristocracy"

My posture stretches unexpectedly to my serious voice. Benno shook his fist bone away from his head gently, sighing, ha.

"That's why it's better for you to finish your contract before the nobles take it from you."

"... what contract is it?

"It's a contract for Lutz to sell what you made."

"Huh? For what?

I have no idea what it has to do with eating and the temple. Don't you just want to profit from all this? To me frowned, Benno sat back in his chair and began to explain carefully.

"At this stage, it's just insurance. To be able to contact you when you get caught up in noble measures and are taken away across the walls of the castle. Even if it isn't, think about what happens if you're made to sign a contract with a nobleman. I have permission to go beyond the walls. You know that, don't you?

"Yes."

I also worked at the gate, so I know I need permission to cross the walls. When I nodded, Benno only looked a little bitter.

"The guild chief's granddaughter can meet her family even if she goes across the walls. That clan over there is a merchant recognized by the nobles. But how's your family?

I had to answer in silence. He chose not to sign a contract with nobility because he would no longer be able to see his family. There's no way I can see you.

"I don't think your family can cross the walls. Then why don't you at least use the covenant magic not disturbed by the nobility to make a connection with Lutz before he gets taken over by the temple or the nobility? That way, under the pretext of that contract, I can take Lutz inside the walls."

Happily I saw Benno. I saw Lutz. They both nod small when they see each other.

"If Lutz gets along, he'll be a letter, a message, and what's the only way to get in touch. You can learn about your family's situation, too. Most importantly, if you can find out the situation through Lutz, it will be a little reassuring material for the family that will guide you. Well, if you want to keep your contract with me, you can still never mind?

"Mr. Benno, then you don't know what's going on with your family."

I don't want to imagine being taken by the nobles, but it's not bad for me to create a situation where I can meet Lutz when that happens. Frieda also said she was comfortable just seeing her family.

But can I involve Lutz in that?

"What does Rutz think?

"If I can go to the aristocratic city, I'd like to go, and I don't think it's okay if I'm like a liaison clerk. Mine, I'm more worried about leaving you alone. I have a headache when I think about what to do."

Just gently clapping his shoulders, Rutz himself seems already willing to sign the contract. But it's a contract to restrain the nobles. Given the burden it places on Lutz, the contracting partner, it's not that easy to snort.

"You don't even feel so comfortable signing a contract, do you? Aren't you going to be in danger or feel bad about Lutz? Besides, if it was that contract, Mr. Benno wouldn't make much profit, would he? If Lutz was pulled out, wouldn't it be until then?"

As I pointed my lips, Benno sighed like a shudder and shook his head loosely.

"You're not in a swallowing situation enough to be worried about someone else. Lutz has a profit, too, so that's fine."

"What good does Lutz have to say?

"You don't need to know. Mine thinks only of his own interests. Honestly, if you're getting an invitation, you barely have time to hit me first."

There is a lot of information, and Benno, who is visible around him, seems more in a hurry than me on the part of the party. Line up what you'll do before the temple takes you away.

"Build a Mine Workshop first, register your guild as a Workshop Manager, and make sure you have a sales channel for your products. If treatment changes with gold, create an environment where you can get gold and negotiate with the Temple. You'll want the money over there, too, so we can work it out depending on the negotiations"

Sure, a lot of money is one of the powers. It was polite to just offer an expensive donation, so to protect yourself, you'd better have the money.

And even if you make a product, if everything is taken up by the temple, you will have no profit left at all at your disposal. Trusted sales channels are mandatory. Though a little deceived or tested, Benno is also my most trustworthy opponent today.

When I nodded, Benno nodded back, too.

"Be careful, I don't think it's worth a lot to the nobles to have one civilian. Prepare as much as you can think of a way to survive, a way out. Whatever you thought would be insured, get ready multiple times and protect yourself."

"Yes."

I thought he was somehow a good guy because he normally put me on my knees to read the scriptures and handle them politely, but it doesn't hurt to have insurance and escape routes ready. No worries if you're ready. Too much common sense and knowledge here to know what to prepare for is toothitch.

Benno keeps his eyes on me and joins his words.

"I suppose there are still ten nobles in the temple, right? Not only will you be exploited from it, but look for someone you can use each other. Just because nobles scratch you and kill you keeper, you only have a few options to open up. Look closely, choose. Think. Don't be blurry. Give up to live."

"Why is Mr. Benno so..."

Freshly arranged measures and precautions are not like gathering considerable information and coming up without thinking about it in a variety of ways. I don't know what it means to put all that effort into it for me, who couldn't even be an apprentice in this store.

"If you survive, we can have a new product. If it's connected to us, it's in our interest. This is how you get the information, so it's in your interest, isn't it? Be quiet and accept."

Marc grinned bitterly with a fussy soft grin behind Benno frowning like a muck.

"My husband is just worried. It's really bad for my heart to watch Mine because it's always dangerous and causes unexpected things"

"Marc, shut up"

Benno looked back and said so, but Marc continues his words with a thin grin.

"The children entering the apprenticeship are basic educated and kept at home, and until now there have been no children close to your husband who have had to take care of them so far. Like my child, I can't say, but I am personally worried about the degree of children in my relatives. And of course, this marc."

"Thank you. Mr. Marc."

"Marc."

Thanking him with gratitude, he threw up like Benno had been stuffed. Me and Marc blew out face-to-face.

"Of course, I'm grateful to Mr. Benno. … contract magic and registration of the workshop with the guild, please"
