Ascendance of a Bookworm

Book Favorite Tea Party Part II

"As far as reminder work is concerned, I'll leave you to Prince Hildebrandt if you give me permission. I'll do the same as last year if I don't get permission, so don't worry about it."

Though I don't think I'll get permission, don't let it get you down, I'll look for the right topic for the tea party in the corner of my head, sayin 'away. We need a topic that might interest even Hildebrand, who is not yet admitted to the House of Lords. Hildebrandt, who has no idea, will feel alienated in the content of lectures common to Hannelore and in topics related to relationships in the House of Lords. When instructed to make changes from a valuable common topic: librarian, it doesn't immediately come to mind.

... What's a topic royalty would love to talk about?

Anastasius and I were only talking about Eglantine. If only we had talked about Eglantine, I'd be glad because I was basically in a good mood. There's nothing I can do about Hildebrandt in a state where I have no idea what I like. I just finished the baptism ceremony and have absolutely no information about Hildebrandt, who is supposed to be caged in his room.

... a topic that everyone here is going to be excited about. The only thing we have in common is the House of Lords, right? Oh, yeah!

"Me, I wanted to ask you once, does Dr. Solange know the twenty wonders of the House of Lords?

When I came up with the subject, Hannelore and Solange looked lightly and jumped to a change of subject.

"I know a few strange stories that go to the House of Lords, but I don't think there was even twenty."

"I've heard a few things, too. Though I don't think I had twenty, as Dr. Solange said."

They both know some wonders. Hildebrandt also seemed interested, shining his bright purple eyes and embarking slightly on himself.

"Twenty Wonders of the House of Lords? What's it like?

"It's a story that the students are amused to increase, and the similarities are integrated, altered, and more and more shaped, so it's a lie or a truth, even the provenance is unknown. When our father and mother were students, a civil servant I knew told us about it in the House of Lords."

"Let me hear it, Rosemaine"

Apparently you succeeded in changing the subject. Everyone looks at me with a face of curiosity. It's just bad for Hildebrandt, who seems excited, but I don't know it in detail. Rather, they are going to ask Solange and Hannelore to speak so that I do not have to say anything extra.

"Right.... the statue of God dancing on graduation night, the eastern house where the goddess of time plays pranks, Gevinnen starting a ditter battle. Then a library that doesn't open. I don't know the details, but do you know some of Dr. Solange and Master Hannelore? Please tell me."

"Does Artur know what it is?

That's what Hildebrandt said and looked up to his side of the line. Around twenty years old, called Artur, his side service gives him a troubled grin and puts his hand on Hildebrandt's shoulder.

"Listen carefully to Dr. Solange"

Don't bring your side service to the lead of the story at the tea party. I only refrain from serving. He asked in his usual habits. Hildebrandt shrugged "Ah," and turned forward. Solange stared warmly at the appearance of a child unfamiliar with socializing, "Which story is better?," he muttered.

"How about the story of the supreme god of the altar? There's a temple over there in the House of Lords that bears a god, but there were bad students at that temple who were all pranks. I didn't do anything directly to the students and teachers, so I just got cautioned. Students in good shape continued to play more pranks. But one day, when I wondered if a strong light had fallen, I suddenly disappeared. The student never came back."

"Huh? Where have you been?

When Hildebrandt and Hannelore asked with a frightened look, Solange shook her head quietly once she deepened her grin.

"Unfortunately, no one knows that.... I meant to steal God's eyes, and even if I'm doing something wrong, the gods are prospective. If the prince and the princess had not listened carefully to those around them and been a good child, the Supreme God of the altar between them would have moved out and taken them to much higher heights."

... Sounds like a lesson story to make a little kid listen to, but you're scared of what's really going to happen.

"And then, yeah. In the story that Lady Rosemayne was spoken to, what I know is that the goddess of time plays a prank in Dongya? It may be a little early for princes and princesses, but that Higashiya is a meeting place with the heterosexuals I care about. A place to keep the proximities out so that the two Lords candidates who take the proximity can talk alone. Maybe you'll all have a day to use it."

Solange looked around at us with a tearful look and laughed softly.

Higashiya is not completely surrounded by walls, so his actions are well visible to the side servants who refrain from outside. But when you use an anti-bugging magic device, you won't be able to hear the conversation, so it's going to be a place for just the two of us to talk. The two times we only see each other are amazingly short and quickly pass, so they became known as the East House, where the goddess of time pranks.

"But even if the goddess of time invites you to the East House where you prank, you shouldn't easily understand. From all around, it's seen in relationships."

In the words of Solange I remember the love story of the House of Lords written by my mother.

... Ahhh, it's the East House where my adoptive father was desperately struggling to lure my adoptive mother out in a love story in the House of Lords. It was a place for lovers to go, although they had no idea why they were obsessed with the East Room. "I'll come with you if you're somewhere else," he said once, "I wish I could take you somewhere else.

After my adoptive mother turned me down, I couldn't really understand the anguish that the poem my adoptive father complained about mourning to the gods continued to have. Convinced of ho ho ho, Hannelore tells me the strange story he knows.

"All I know is the story of Gevinnen starting Ditter. It's that Gevinnen, the size of a child who celebrates the baptism ceremony, starts dittering in the middle of the night. I know there were a lot of sightings, but I'm not very familiar with them."

... Somehow when you hear of Ditter, you think of Dunkelferger's involvement. It's Dr. Rufen's fault.

Thanking Hannelore for what she taught me, I turned my gaze to Solange.

"Dr. Solange, do you know anything about a library that doesn't open?

"If you mean a library I can't open, there are only three places I know."

"Yeah!? Are there even three places!?

I was surprised that the rush and answer came back, and was once again surprised by its content. Solange nods slowly after a glimpse of Hildebrandt and his vicinity.

"There were three previous scribes. And each of the three of us manages the keys, and they have a library that we can't put in unless all the keys are in place. We only know where the keys are to prevent theft. I don't know where the keys are since they left, and there are three unopened libraries that I can't get into. It's a library for storing old literature that you rarely use, so there's nothing particularly wrong with it at the moment. Perhaps the key is in their private room, so I'm waiting for the day when a senior aristocratic scribe will be sent to this library to open the library."

There are also keys and scriptures in the temple that can only be used by those appointed as temple chiefs. I guess that's the kind of key. Just because there are three libraries I can't open makes me feel bloody boiling meat leaping. Hildebrandt and his proximity should make him a senior nobleman in the center, so he might be able to open it any minute.

... but a library that you can open if you have all three keys, and a library that you can't get in unless you're royal that Justkus said, is something else, right?

"So do you know anything about an unopened library that only royalty can enter?

"I do not know, but do you have such a library?

They don't know Solange. Disappointing. Hildebrandt blinked in response to the place "only royalty can get in".

"If it's just royalty, I'll let you in."

"It's a rumor, so I don't know if there really is. Few people in this generation know strange stories, so it's even more so."

"Ask your father or mother. You may know something interesting."

Hildebrandt laughed having fun saying that. Where the royal family knows funny stories, I ride myself out unexpectedly.

"Prince Hildebrandt, if you have an interesting story, tell me neither"

"Yes."

If you go back to Aerenfest and talk to Justkus, add the stories Hildebrandt tells you, and put the twenty wonders of the House of Lords together in a book, you might be able to make a book for boys to enjoy besides the knight's story.

... Ah, books. I have to return it.

You can't be bummed on your way home. I turned my gaze to the corner where the civilian apprentices were. I see Haltmut and Filine making notes about the tea party. The moment I and my eyes met, Haltmoot stood up and turned his hand to the book. I nod softly at the motion.

"Dear Hannelore, as I told you earlier, I am returning to Aerenfest. So now, may I give you back the book I was borrowing?

"Yep. I'll pay you back, too."

Hannelore looks back at her own civilian apprentices. Civilians exchanged the books they had prepared with each other, and each began to check for any dirt or damage. Hannelore, who watched the state for a little while, turned to me and laughed nicely.

"The book Lady Rosemaine lent me was written in modern language, very easy to read and enjoyed. I love Aerenfest books."

... What shall I do? I'm so glad. I'm glad at a level where there's no word.

This is a book that everyone at Rosemaine Workshop, the paper that Lutz and the others have been making, has worked hard to print. I am very glad that that was accepted by nobles other than Aerenfest. I just think of the beauty of the presence of your friends who like books and want to read them, and I want to pray to God.

... Blessings are about to pop! Keep it down, me!

Richarda, standing behind me, trembling with emotion, secretly gave me the Demon Stone. Grab it and let the magic flow. Hannelore blinked several times as she exhaled a ho of relief.

"What is it, Master Rosemaine?

"No. I just remembered that there was a lot going on before I made this book. I feel like everything has been rewarded in the words of Master Hannelore. This is how I've always wanted friends to read and talk with me."

"I don't know what to say."

Hannelore says so with an understated grin.

"Next time I'll lend you the love story of the House of Lords. It contains stories and rumours that actually happened in our mother's and aunt's generation. I didn't know who I was talking about, but Dr. Hillsur seemed to have a number of stories you know."

Filine came to me with a love story. And Filine offers it to Hannelore's civilian apprenticeship. A civilian apprentice received gently went inside again and gave it to Hannelore.

"Could there be a story about Dunkelferger?

"There were a few stories where the Knight Apprentice was the lead actor, so maybe it's the story of the Knight Apprentice in Dunkelferger"

There was a story about a knight apprentice who promised his lover that he would give Ditter his victory. It was both won and lost, but Dunkelferger would be talking about the knight apprentice who won, because he would fight until he won.

"Looking forward to it."

"If Master Hannelore knows the love story of Dunkelferger, please tell me. It could be a book like this. If a civilian apprentice manuscripts me, I will gladly buy it."

It was not Hannelore, but a civilian apprentice serving Hannelore, who sparkled my eyes in my words. I would love for you to do your best to collect a lot of stories because I'm so happy.

"Dear Rosemayne, let me also read the new book of Aerenfest. Occupational patterns, new books don't have eyes."

"I know exactly how that feels. Haltmoot, please give the book to Dr. Solange"

Ask Solange to give me the Love Centered Knight's Story book I just got back from Hannelore. Solange, who received the book from Haltmut, gently stroked the cover of the book, staring at the flower watermark in wonder. And open the book with Parali.

"Aerenfest books are thin, easy to hold, and very easy to read. It's wonderful to have an illustration."

Hannelore tides her cheeks with excitement, pushing Aerenfest books hard on Solange. Solange looked up and gazed happily at Hannelore.

"Yep. Just because someone likes a book like Dear Hannelore this way, you'll soon find out how great Aerenfest books are."

I have become very pleased with the words of Solange. It's enough to make me want to thank you for the sudden return order. I would like to return to Aerenfest immediately to compliment everyone at the Plantan Chamber of Commerce and Workshop.

... the Lordship Candidates of the Great Territories are happy to report! Lutz will definitely be happy with you, but could Mr. Benno be happy to expand his sales channels? Everyone in the orphanage has a reward, right?

Saving money is fundamental and not luxurious to keep the prepared food from running out in the winter, so when he was determined to get the orphanage meal a little extravagant in the spring, Hildebrandt opened his mouth with a snack after comparing Solange to Hannelore.

"Um, Rosemaine. I'd also like to read Aerenfest's book, would you mind?

"Of course, Prince Hildebrandt."

Yikes! and I make gutspaws with my heart. Seems to have failed once, so if Hildebrandt hadn't mentioned it, it would have been hard to recommend Aerenfest's book from here. When I turned my gaze to Haltmoot, Haltmoot offered the knight's story to Artur, Hildebrandt's sideline servant.

"I lent Lady Hannelore a knight's story centered on love stories, but I think the lords would enjoy a story centered on battle. I made this book so that my children could read and enjoy reading. It will be a light read for adults, but I think it has become just the right book for kids to get used to reading"

Altur, who was listening to my words, nodded lightly, turning inside and offering it to Hildebrandt.

"As Lady Rosemayne said, this is a book of difficulty for Prince Hildebrand today."

It's not easy to read, but it's not hard to read at all and throw a spoon at it. "I'll try my best to read it," Hildebrandt nodded happily, as did Hannelore and Solange.

"Then you will lend it to Master Rosemaine from me, too. Clarissa."

That's what Hannelore said as she waited for the book to go to all of them, and turned her gaze to her own civilian apprenticeship. Dunkelferger's civilian apprentice, known as Clarissa, gives Hultmoot a thick, well-fitted book.

"Thank you, I know, Master Hannelore. Now I have the pleasure of returning to Aerenfest."

I got a new book to read, which reduced the spiciness of being detached from the Library of the House of Lords. Hannelore is my savior.

"Um, how was Lady Rosemaine? Well, Dunkelferger's book is old rhetoric, isn't it?

If you look at Aerenfest's book, surely, it's no wonder you're worried that you don't understand Dunkelferger's book. I smile and shake my head.

"I, the old rhetoric, am used to in the Bible, and I was overwhelmed by the length and thickness of Dunkelferger's history. It was so much fun."

"You enjoyed it"

Hannelore smiles like relieved. Sweet to that smile, I ask Hannelore dearly.

"So, um, I have a favor to ask of you, Mr. Hannelore."

"What is it?

"I translated Dunkelferger's history book into modern language, but I want you to make sure it's not wrong."

"... Huh?

Blink your eyes and offer Hannelore or Clarissa a bunch of manuscripts translated by Haltmut in modern language. Clarissa took it in her hand and peeled her eyes as she altered the paralysis and inside.

"Because of the amount, I know it's hard to see if there's a mistake here."

"Of course I'll lend it to you. We don't want you to check this out."

Hannelore took pleasure in my words: "If it were, I would confirm it".

"And then, because I wrote it, I'd like to make it a book at Aerenfest, can you forgive me?

"Are you going to make Dunkelferger's history a book at Aerenfest?

Hannelore turns her gaze to her side of the service, with what she calls an incomprehensible expression. I enjoy reading books with the history of other territories spelled out, but don't I enjoy them that much? Or is it banned?

"... just cannot be determined by my presence. Um, are you sure you want me to take the manuscript home once and talk to Aub?

"Yes, thank you"

...... May Aub Dunkelferger happily allow it.

"Then let me lend you this material. You may be immersed in the secretary's mood."

Solange lent me a report on the work the scribe had written several generations earlier. All of a sudden, he seems to be an important report that Solange was working with as a reference, without a senior aristocratic scribe.

"There are also statements about magic equipment that used to work in this library. Isn't it helpful when Lord Rosemayne thinks about magic equipment?

It is not a material for lending that is lined up on a library bookshelf. It's a work report written by an active clerk. There may not be any more detailed material on magic equipment in the library.

"I love you, Dr. Solange."

"Oh, well..."

The material Hartmoot received from Jojo and Laughing Solange was placed on top of a book borrowed from Dunkelferger.

Follow with your gaze a pile of books you've never read. I want to read it right away. But if I get the book in the middle of the tea party, I can't see anything else at all. I guess the neighbors know that too. Brother Cornelius gently repositioned himself so that the book did not appear in my sight.

"Artur, I want to give Rosemaine something in return, too. Don't you have a good book?

Hildebrandt said so looking back at his side of the line. If you are royal, you deserve to be offered, and it's not surprising that you don't have to think in particular about giving back. Hildebrandt, however, intends to give back with a book in discipline.

... Ooh! Prince Hildebrandt is a very good prince. I can't believe I can read the central book!

As I was moved that the book in the unknown realm might be readable, Artur laid his eyes down to think a little.

"It is also possible to review the book by next time…"

After that, Artur turns his gaze to me.

"Isn't Lady Rosemaine happier to get permission to invite you to the Royal Palace Library?

of joy, I fainted on the spot.
