Ascendance of a Bookworm

Beginning of territorial rivalry (two years)

In preparing for the territorial rivalry, my charge is a civilian course, but it is Hartmoot, a senior aristocrat and top student, who is really giving instructions. I watch Haltmoot's work gesture to help me next year and most of them take notes.

He shook his work tirelessly and found that his appearance of making confirmations was heavily influenced by the clergyman and Justkus. Pointing that out, Haltmoot happily breaks his face.

"Last year I received a lot of attention from Lady Ferdinand and Lady Justkus. I'm very glad to see those two from a very familiar Rosemaine and be praised for the similarity of their work."

The preparation went very smoothly with the division of the system of instructions between the three Lords candidates. It was a great harvest for me to be able to concentrate on what the civilian apprentices do without thinking much else and to know firsthand the level near the sides of Vilfleet and Charlotte.

… Conclusion. Chief Cleric's rubbing me. My clerk, he's really good.

Of course, saying you're good means you're loaded with it, but it's totally different to being user-friendly. Especially since Filine is a junior nobleman, when I saw her twirling in the position of Haltmoot's assistant, I well understood that her growth was remarkable.

Looking at Filine like that in a hurry is Rhoderich, who has just entered the vicinity. It's still not like the two temps, even though they're swinging by Haltmut with some takeover.

"I have to work hard to catch up, too."

Since Rhoderich is very motivated, he encouraged him to "if he is rubbed by Master Ferdinand in the temple for a year, he can grow even if he doesn't like it".

Charlotte, who enrolled this year, seems to be honestly listening to his side and the advice of the Brunhildes who are preparing with him, and Wilfried seems to be escorting me and Charlotte and working hard to follow up on the Knight Apprentice who was unable to attend practice or meetings. Sometimes we just checked each other's progress and the preparations went ahead without any particular problems.

"Now let's get our luggage to the venue. The procedure is as we met yesterday."

"Yes, sir."

It is not long before it is the day of the territorial rivalry. As soon as we finish breakfast early in the morning, it's set up. Civilian apprentices moved into my words.

"Brunhilde, how's it going over there?

"Yes, Master Rosemaine. Cattle curls from the Ottomar Chamber of Commerce have arrived from Aerenfest, and the kitchen has been baked with treats for successive cultivations"

Brunhilde is right, the dorm is full of sweet smells. Charlotte seems to be giving instructions for checking and loading tea utensils. I can't see the knight apprentices, so I was looking for them somehow, and Cornelius, attached to me as an escort knight, told me.

"Master Wilfried and the Cavalier Apprentices will hand out healing pills to restore their magic, in addition to the final confirmation of the weaknesses and tactics of the Warcraft that are likely to emerge as opponents."

"Don't Cornelius have to participate in the final confirmation?

When I looked up at Brother Cornelius and asked him, Brother Cornelius smiled forcefully, "It's okay".

"I've already had a lot of practice, and I remember weaknesses and tactics. All you have to do is attack as instructed."

"Is that, in other words, a love affair that goes so well that there is no need for a meeting with Leonore giving instructions?

"No. Where in my words would you go to that conclusion if you heard how!?

... Huh? It's definitely love, isn't it?

The escort knight was Cornelius, and the side service was Richarda, and I went with the civilians to the venue. Territorial rivalries take place in the largest training ground in the knight's specialty building.

The oval training ground assumed to fly across on a horseback is the same type I used in last year's Ditter fight. It looks like an outdoor arena, but I can't feel the wind or snow at all, as the sky covered by the glittering gray clouds of snow is looking big. The same is true as where there appears to be a transparent roof. But it was different in size. The arena was almost circular last time, but this time it has two circles in it and it's oval when you look at the whole thing.

There is a watching part to surround that oval arena. It's a lot higher than the part where the competition takes place, and it's just as flat as the last time. At that time, it was difficult to see because it was neither staircase nor diagonal, but I was convinced that it was flat knowing that I was going to have a social tea party or research presentation in this part of the world.

"There's a line drawn here, isn't there? This is where Aerenfest can be used from here to there."

Brother Cornelius tells us about the arena as the civilians begin to set it up in a way they are used to. The floor part is the same as the white building. A red line is drawn there, and the walls are stretched with cloths of the same colour as the cloak of the territory. So, I was starting to know where the territory was going to watch the game.

"The big, easy place to see around the middle is the upper realm."

"Aerenfest also surfaced to 10th place, making it a lot bigger and better place than it used to be. I was in that neighborhood when I was a freshman."

Brother Cornelius said so, clapping his shoulders, pointing to a corner where many small territories were gathered. They used to be pretty narrow, even though it was a medium territory, alongside a small territory and shoulders, because the size of the viewing place varies in order. It is now in a position where my chest can be stretched as a medium territory.

Students came one after another from other territories, and I could see them preparing for each one. Cloaks of various colors seem to be busy in and out, and they are really colorful.

And I guess I keep in touch with each dorm, it's also funny that there's a lot of Ordnants going around. Looking at it with that in mind, one Ordonanz flew before me. When Brother Cornelius offered his arm before me, he stepped down there and began to speak in the voice of the Lieselator.

"Dear Rosemayne, Aub is here. Tell him I want to have an advance meeting. Please return soon."

Ordonanz, who returned to the Demon Stone after three repetitions, was gently beaten with a stamp and replied with acknowledgment.

"Haltmoot, Aub called me back. When you're ready, help us serve."

"I understand."

It was too late on my feet to rush back to the dorm, so I rode the beast when I left the training ground and flew over to the dorm. In the premises of a rather large House of Lords, I had no idea where my dorm was, but Richarda knew it properly.

"It used to be normal to fly over with treasure stealing ditters."

Though it was quite far from the Knight Building, for what the Knight Beast could use, it was faster than I could walk to reach the central building door, and I was not tired.

"Dear Rosemaine, Aub is waiting for you in this conference room."

Upon returning to the dorm, he was immediately directed to the conference room to serve his adoptive father. I found that there were adoptive fathers, adoptive mothers, clergymen, Brother Wilfried and Charlotte in the conference room. In it, my gaze turned to the chief cleric. Today's chief clergyman is wearing a bright loess cloak of Aerenfest.

"This is the first time I've seen Master Ferdinand use Aerenfest's cloak of color. It looks a lot new because I don't normally use it."

"I just got it today."

"Yes?"

He was trying to come with a blue cape as usual, but he told his adoptive father, "You are mistaken for a Dunkelferger. Get the Aerenfest colors together today or so," she said.

"Unfortunately, I don't have it. The cloak I gave my father at the awards ceremony was taken up by his mother when he decided to go to the temple, and the priest didn't need it."

"Say that quickly!

"I thought you said you'd forgive me if I didn't say anything about their mother."

After such interaction, it seems the Cleric Chief got a new Aerenfest cloak. "I can't forgive the lack of a magic formation of protection at all," he complains, "but I don't even seem to be in a good mood for a little bit, so maybe I'm happy. The blue cape Yustox said he brought it with his luggage.

"So, what are we discussing?

"I heard from Vilfleet that they each decide to be in charge..."

"That's right. Thanks to a suggestion from Brother Wilfried, we were able to prepare very smoothly"

"Right. Perhaps that was a good idea during the preparation phase. But the job of a Lordship candidate in a Territory match is to socialize."

Territorial rivalries seem to be a place for preliminary exercises for future Lords' Conferences. They also have to make facial connections with the lords of other realms, and all the lord candidates said they have to socialize. That's unexpected. I immediately communicate with Ordnants that all the Lordship candidates will socialize and make the heads of the civilian apprentices Haltmoot. This will do something about it.

"So this is the seat of the Lordship Candidate..."

Last year, Aub and his wife split their seats in Vilfleet and divided their responses according to the importance of their guests. More visitors this year than last year, and from the top territories, are expected. If possible, it is desirable to be able to accommodate both male and female socialization.

"I think it would be better to divide it into Vilfleet and Rosemaine, Charlotte and Ferdinand, and increase the number of people who can handle it"

"Rosemaine and?

My adoptive mother exhaled lightly when she saw Wilfried, who sounded anxious.

"I became your fiancée, so it's best to have Wilfried and Rosemaine together with the meaning of the revelation, but Wilfried is confident to socialize while helping Rosemaine?

"It's..."

"Wilfried, be honest with me on this occasion. Because social success and failure in territorial rivalries will affect you until later."

It's not like socializing with all the kids in the House of Lords. The eyes of the other Aubs will shine. When his adoptive mother gently urged him to answer, Wilfried opened his mouth as if it were difficult to answer.

"... if the book isn't involved, it's okay"

"Brother, there are few books that don't appear on the subject right now. 'Cause at least I get out frequently among women."

When I heard Charlotte say it, Wilfried looks at me with a troubled face. My adoptive mother probably guessed the approximate circumstances with that look. Nicole smiled.

"Then let Vilfleet and Charlotte form together and ask your guardian, Lady Ferdinand, about Rosemaine. That's the easiest part. Because it's better to have a little less of a factor of failure on the big stage: territorial rivalry."

Better pick someone who doesn't fail on the big stage. In the words of the adoptive mother, the social combination was decided. As usual, I was to be accompanied by the Chief Cleric as your patron.

"Vilfleet, Charlotte. Keep your eyes peeled at Rosemaine's report until time runs out. Important information is well organized"

Apparently, my report was written by the clerks. My adoptive father gives it to both of us one at a time. Wilfried and Charlotte looked through, and looked at me with a surprised face.

"... Rosemaine wrote this report?

"I was told I wanted a report on my work, not your letter, so I adapted it to the format of writing in the temple. What do you say, Master Ferdinand? You're not gonna complain this time, are you?

Ugh, and when I stretched my chest, the chief clergyman relaxed his expression and praised me as "very good". My adoptive father and father laughed bitterly.

"Oh, I can't complain. I was surprised at the discrepancy with previous reports. Ferdinand will be treasured in the temple. You want to work in a castle?

"I don't need any more. Instead, reduce it"

Looks like it's time for the Cavalier Apprentices to leave while we're having a light exchange. Side service came to call.

"Dear Rosemayne, the Cavalier Apprenticeships want you to bless them just as you did last year."

To the knight apprentices kneeling ahead Brother Cornelius, grant the patronage of Angleaf, the god of martial arts, and when we drop off our departure, we must head to the venue ourselves. Taking into account the speed with which I walk, only I, the Chief Cleric and his side service were to head to the venue with a horseman.

The territorial rivalry began at the same time as Ditter's declaration of initiation. There is a declaration by the Lords' Candidate of Classenburg, the territory that dirters most is called. They call the lower realm randomly in the first half. Aerenfest said it was the first time in the second half.

"15th Flavel Turk!

At the same time, from the flavel turk, the voice rose, and the knight apprentice began to descend into the arena with one horseman after the other, flirting with a cloak of water. Run around the arena, get in position, and wait for the demon to appear.

When the teacher descended on the arena with the horseman and poured his magic into the magic formation, a big warcraft appeared in a cool glow. The warcraft like a giant cat looked familiar.

"Is that Golze?

"No, it's one lower Zulze. I don't care about that. Rosemaine, take a seat."

When the battle had finally begun, I was called by the chief priest to praise my face. When self-rule fights, you can take a seat and go to the game, but basically the Lordship Candidates better not leave their seats.

... I can't see Ditter if I'm sitting in my seat, and that's a little boring.

I was pointing my lips, but it was no longer if I was immediately saying "boring" etc. Ditter's beginnings are the beginning of a territorial rivalry. It is a visitor at the same time as the start. It was only this year that the nobles who had eaten Katorkar in last year's territorial rivalry arrived.

"I had it at the Lords' Conference, but I would love to taste other flavors..."

"I've been looking forward to it for a few days."

... graceful in words and deeds, but the brilliance of the eyes swarming the limited edition is with the aunts at the bargain sale!

Instruct the intended person to give it as a souvenir and eat it in his or her own seat, and ask anyone wishing to make a deal to go to the seat of Vilfleet and Charlotte. Only the upper territories are sufficient to direct you to Aub's seat.

If I thought so, the feet of the people who were coming this way stopped and began to retreat from the spot so as to pave the way. I wonder, blinking my eyes, the goddess of light walks down the path that people were able to retreat. The blonde hair, shining with light, is intricately tied, and it is the red Collarelier hair ornament that brings out the blonde hair. Smile quietly and come this way with a gentle word to the people around you. Much more grown-up and prettier than last year.

"Dear Eglantine! and not Prince Anastasius? It's an honor to take you all the way."

The clergyman gently slapped his thighs. He found out Anastasius wasn't in his eyes. When we exchanged aristocratic greetings and tried to guide him to Aub's seat, Anastasius shook his head and sat at our table.

"I need to talk to him, Rosemaine."

Eglantine also took her seat. Immediately, the servants move out and the tea is ready. I showed them the cookies and cattle curls I had served to the House of Lords for the first time this year, one bite at a time, and recommended them to both.

Did Anastasius attract interest in novel objects, reach for cookies, and Eglantine asks for a cattle curl. Serve the cattle curls in a motion to which the side servings are accustomed.

"Rosemaine, what is the study of biblical celebrations? Exhibited in the name of another, but studied by someone who grew up in a temple, right?

Asked Anastasius, I turn my gaze to the proposer, the chief priest. My research, not that of the chief cleric, is perhaps more correct. The chief cleric saw Anastasius with an aristocratic smile.

"A fold to verify the scriptures, teachers have refrained, so it is at least a filling"

"Is he the mastermind better? The house of God, which seemed a little closer over time, turned away again, and those who waited for the Virgin's prayer also appeared, what do you think?

"We have followed the king's call."

"… I wonder how far that particular attitude will go"

Hun and Anastasius snorted. Chief Cleric and Anastasius seem to know each other, but they are refreshing to me. Anastasius' opponent left it to the chief cleric to listen to the interaction between the two, and I nearly smiled at Eglantine.

"It is a pleasure to meet Master Eglantine"

"I'm glad too. Lady Rosemayne created another epidemic?

"Yes, this is the new Rowle cattle curl. Dear Hannelore from Dunkelferger, I tried to make it fast. Would you like a sip?

I soaked the dried rowle in alcohol and made a cattle curl. It feels pretty good.

"It's very tasty. If you take it in well like this, you're going to be able to make a variety of cattle curls with the specialties of each territory. I feel so sorry for my graduation."

"When I visit the House of Lords after graduation, I feel very lonely," Eglantine said. I know exactly how it feels to be a graduate of Reino.

... I couldn't get into the library without permission, and I felt so distant. Yeah, yeah.

"Besides, I heard you had a fun story made at Aerenfest this year. Are we going to pop the book next?

"That's right. It's a book I made at Aerenfest, but I'm enjoying it for all of you. Love stories are very popular. Hopefully, Master Eglantine will enjoy it, but I don't have it at hand right now..."

"Calm down a little," scolded the chief priest, and I stretched out my spine as a vicious. Couscous and Eglantine laugh.

"Is this Master Ferdinand?

To that legend, and to the words that were added small, I gazed upon the fearful chief priest. A smile for nobility, but my eyes, I can see my eyes angry.

... Shit. Chief Cleric, I totally forgot about the legend.

"Rumors of a pedigree are exaggerated. Not worth trusting."

Eglantine nodded at the word of the chief priest and looked at me unexpectedly and worried.

"I do not know if the rumors of Master Rosemaine are exaggerated or true. But I'm afraid I might be flirting with the goddess of time."

"Master Eglantine?

"Please be careful"

Anastasius and Eglantine left because there were other places they had to go.

"What does that mean?

"It would mean as Prince Anastasius said. You weren't listening?

"I wasn't sure if you asked"

Ha and sighed, and the chief cleric put out an anti-bugging magic device. Seeing me hold it, I open my mouth.

"As a result of that biblical verification, the gulf between the central temple and the royal family has widened, and it seems that in their star knot ritual there are those who have told them to call the Virgin of Aerenfest, not the head of the temple of the central temple. I thought you said what you were going to do."

When the clergyman explains it to me, I don't know how hard it is because it sounds like something very difficult is going on, but it doesn't change the look on the clergyman's face who is speaking.

"... er, a big deal, isn't it?

"For royalty, yeah. But it was the king's will that called and verified it. No matter how things roll, it's not our responsibility. You'll be caught up in this, irresistibly."

"Wait a minute. Why are you so long? As my guardian, I wonder if Master Ferdinand will be completely involved."

The clergyman, who was listening to my words, suddenly turned into an unpleasant face that chewed up the bitter worm.

"Things change in every way in the king's words. I can't help but panic now. Now think about how you're going to make me laugh. From the bundle of paper in your hand, he's your guest."

There was a group of blue cloaks at the end of the clergyman's gaze that quickly returned to a smile for nobility. It looks like there are more than thirty of them, but all I know is Hannelore. From time to time, to observe from the tricks of watching the big man walking next door, perhaps the big man with the manuscript translated into modern language is Aub Dunkelferger.

... Still, there's a lot of them in the vicinity of the two, right?

I was leaning on my neck and noticed that the gaze of the knightly people of Dunkelferger was clearly directed towards the Cleric Chief, not myself. Speaking of which, the chief clergyman should have punched Dunkelferger while he was in school.

... this is, what, in trouble!?

If you turn your gaze to the table of your adoptive fathers for help, you're talking to Aub Drevanhel, and if you turn your gaze to Wilfried and Charlotte, you see a bunch of nobles you don't know. I'm not in a state where I can be asked for help.

"Are there also Heishitzes? Trouble......"

I lean my neck against the shriek of the chief priest. That's a name I've never heard of.

"Who is Mr. Heishitze? Are you a friend of Master Ferdinand's?

"He's not a friend, he's the original owner of the blue cape"

He seems to have persistently challenged the battle over and over again to give you a cloak to prove your defeat, and to win and take it back, a few times more troublesome manly than Rufen. In the end, Heishitze said he couldn't beat the clergyman until he graduated and couldn't get his blue cape back.

"I wouldn't call it a battle again..."

By the end of his whining, a line of Dunkelferger was lined up in front of our table. A man, supposedly Aub Dunkelferger, takes a step forward. He looked big and very strong and looked like he deserved to lead the knights of Dunkelferger to see it.

"Is there a Lordship candidate named Rosemaine who asked Hannelore to translate Dunkelferger's history book into a book in modern language?

I couldn't help but say, "Yes!" And the chief priest stops me from wearing my thighs. Dangerous. The opponent is Aub of the Great Territories. We must not forget elegance and elegance.

"That's right. I am Rosemaine. Can you forgive me?

Aub Dunkelferger laughed nicely at me, who asked with the utmost concern for elegance.

"I forgive you if you win better. If this one wins, I'll take this manuscript and make it a book in Dunkelferger"

"... Yes?

"Sign them up for a Ditter fight!

The van and manuscript were placed on the table, Hannelore's "Father, what are you saying all of a sudden!? The screaming voice is scratched off with a roaring voice raised by the knights around him.

...... Dunkelferger didn't need grace or elegance from his opponents! What I needed was a ditter!
