Border gates in Kilnberga

After unloading the Gutenbergs into the lower town, we interrupt the summer hall of Geebe. And then Benno and the Plantain Chamber of Commerce started talking to the civil servants in charge of Kilnberga about the establishment of the association, and I handed Gibe Kilnberga the Little Holy Grail to finish the prayer ceremony. It is a familiar thing because it has already become a routine event in spring.

"Now let me show you to the border gate."

I ride into the mounted beast and follow after Geebe Kilnberga. Although the wooden building above the white building is the same as the lower town of Aerenfest, the town of Kilnberga is the closest to Aerenfest with Geebe's summer hall and aristocratic neighborhood, and the further back you go, the more it is like the lower town. It's the exact opposite of Aerenfest, which has a lower town, an aristocratic town and the castle of Aub at its deepest.

"A lot of people from other countries used to come in through the border gates, so I hear from the border gates that a Geebe Hall was built in the back. Oh, look, I see it. You'll see the white border gates that Aub makes and the slightly different shades of walls and gates across the wall, right? That's the border gate."

Eudit sitting in the passenger seat tells me while pointing first. Though I did not notice because I had only been to the house of Geebe at the prayer ceremony, I did see two gates lined up about the same height when I approached them.

"Wow...... I thought the white gates made by Aub were beautiful, but the gates and walls made by Zent are extraordinary."

The outer walls of the boundary gate and Kilnberga are the same bright white objects as Aerenfest, but the walls and gates behind them were of a pale rainbow colour with shimmering like a pearl layer of shellfish used in spiral work. The border wall, which appears to be slightly glowing, is also long outside Kilnberga and continues long and everywhere. Somehow I remembered the Great Wall of 10,000 miles. It feels strange that it doesn't bend over to fit the terrain, it goes straight all the way like someone drew a line.

... it's up to the first Zent to say who drew the line.

This is the first time I have actually seen the borders of the country, although I have learned and know in geography that the part of Zent where the bonds are stretched is Jürgenschmitt and is circular as if it had cut off a part of the continent. Just like the boundaries Aub makes, there are walls that glow pale and rainbow, just like the gates, though I thought to myself that the boundaries are invisible to the naked eye.

"The border gates are so beautiful, but the township buildings have wooden architecture on top of the white buildings, just like the lower town of Aerenfest, so it's hard to see them without approaching them this way."

As Eudit puts it, the height of the gate is three or four floors high, so it's hard to see from the Geebe Hall. I should have visited Kilnberga even at my first prayer ceremony, but I was completely out of sight. It was Ferdinand's role to greet Geebe then, though it might be because he was either taking recovery pills in his carriage and resting, or because he told him to "hide quietly" and lurk his breath.

When I approached him, I saw the white door of the boundary gate fully open inside. Before that, he sees a wary knight. Behind it I saw a tightly closed border gate. The doors of the pale, glowing rainbow gates are engraved with intricate patterns. Probably just like the Schwartz and the others costumes, they must have a lot of patterns carved in them to hide the magic formation.

"Is the boundary gate in Kilnberga always open?

"No, today is special. Theodore told me that Mr. Rosemaine asked Aub to open the door so that he could see the border gate. I'm grateful because I didn't think I could see the border gates from the front."

According to Eudit, the border gates are usually also closed disappointingly and you can't see the border gates from the front.

"Even in the town of Kilnberga, when we were young, we could only see closed boundary gates and outer walls. The heights of the border gates and border gates are about the same and lined up, so that they can be seen slightly above the border gates depending on the angle and the position you see…"

Apparently the young Eudit couldn't help but want to see the border gates. He went for the knight because he wanted a big nickname close to the border gate.

"It was by entering the House of Lords and gaining a horseback that I was able to see the border gate for the first time from above. I was really impressed then.... Ah, that's pretty much why the Knight of Kilnberga aspires. Because I'm not the only one. So is Theodore."

Was it embarrassing that he went for a knight to get close to the border gate, Eudit repeated, rocking the orange ponytail, not just himself? The way it looked was interesting, so I laughed small.

"Though I remember Theodore saying he wanted to serve Geebe Kilnberga just like his father?

"Ugh, Theodore is just putting it on cool. I have the same reason to aspire."

I'm so desperate for Eudit, I'll leave it to you that the Knight of Kilnberga is aiming for a Knight to get close to the border gate.

... I'll ask Theodore next time.

"Dear Rosemaine, please follow Geebe to unload the horseman"

As Eudit guides me, I unload the horseman on the roof of the border gate. A few of the Knights of Kilnberga are welcoming me in line, but there was also a figure of Theodore among them. When I grin with my gaze crossed, Theodore grins back, too. Looks like he's doing a good apprenticeship job. Above all.

"Lady Rosemaine, this way, please."

Escorted by Geebe, who had cleaned up the horseman earlier, I slowly advance my legs. Is it because you're high, it's a little windy and chilly? Vision shows the border gates glowing in a pale rainbow.

Compared to the border gates and city gates, where there are numerous waiting rooms and office rooms within the gates, the border gates have little depth. It's about three or four meters. Unlike the boundary gate, which has a flat and wide roof enough for many knights to get off with a horseman, the border gate appears to be an inclined triangular roof with no envisaged entry or exit with a horseman.

"Only the Knight of Kilnberga can see the view from here."

Walking to the edge of the roof, I could see further behind the border gate. It was a sea of sand that stretched beyond the pale and glowing border gates. The state of sand, completely devoid of rustling magic, is spreading as far as it can see.

"I thought there were other countries beyond the border gates. That, the other country that deals like the one I heard about... What happened to that country? Could it be that the magic ran out and this is the situation?

Given the situation in Arlensbach, which began to be rough due to a lack of magic, could the closure of the border gates have made neighbouring countries sandy? "I have never heard anything like that," Guibe Kirnberga shook his head, laughing as I asked terribly.

"The border gates are huge transfer formations that connect the country to the country, and those without Zent's permission cannot pass with or without magic. All I know is that when the border gates are opened, there's a huge magic formation floating around."

And after he transferred at the border gate, he was coming through the border gate into Kilnberga. This means that both Zent and Aub must have permission.

"Has anyone given permission for Zent not given permission for Aub and has been caught between the border gate and the border gate and been unable to move?

Geebe Kilnberga laughed small, wondering if my question was unexpected or if he thought of a merchant pinned by a gate to the right and left.

"Maybe some dumb merchants like that. But you only have to go home because you have permission to go through the border gates. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any such interesting story left. I don't know."

"So what stories do we have left?

When I took out the calligraphy, I looked up to Geebe Kirnberga with excitement.

"There are still many stories left about the spring and fall festivals that were welcoming the visit of Zent. The border gates seemed to open between spring and autumn and closed during winter, with Zent visiting and closing them immediately," he said.

There's a lot of talk about the people in town who waited for the Zent door to open in the spring as the merchants embraced the avalanche coming in from the moment the deal opened, and there's a lot of talk about the merchants who rush home in the fall because they'll have to have a tough winter in Aerenfest without even being able to support the winter if Zent doesn't return before it closes.

"The merchants' forgetfulness seems to have been an annual festive poem."

"Nevertheless, the border gates are at the end of Jürgenschmitt, so it's hard to move Zent, who has to open and close all the gates. I sympathize with Zent for having to travel within Jürgenschmidt even though he would fall asleep just to go around Aerenfest in divinity."

It's unexpectedly hard work having to open or close the border gates here and there every year. It will be difficult to travel by horseback with many escorts and proximity. Geebe laughed karakara at my thoughts like that.

"Don't worry about moving. Because inside the border gates, there's a transfer line that can only be used for Zent with a gluthris height."

Speaking of which, a transfer formation across the territory can also be made if Zent, and since the border gate is outside the boundary gate that Aub makes, it must not require Aub's permission or anything to lay the transfer formation.

... Is it seriously not big with or without gluthris height?

"Nevertheless, why was Eisenreich's border gate supposed to be closed instead of Aeren......? When you think about the deal, the border gates are very important, right?

The border gates must be important even if we consider that Arlensbach, who now has the only remaining border gates, maintains its rank in the transaction. Why was it supposed to be closed? To my question, Geebe Kilnberga pointed to the border gate.

"He said there was a country called Bose Gates at the end of the border gate transfer line. And this was not Aerenfest, it was a large territory called Eisenreich. Most of the flavel turks today are also Eisenreich, and they said the territory extended further north of Haldenzel. There seemed to be a big mine there, and that was Eisenreich's specialty."

They said the ore and its processed products had been sold to Bose Gates. He also said that weapons made from quality ore were important weapons for the civilians of Haldenzel to defeat the Warcraft.

"Then, one more thing. What the countries that trade with Jürgenschmitt want more than anything else is demon stone. It seems like a rare thing in other countries where demon stones don't really exist, and even small demon stones with weak warcraft that can be hunted by civilians around here could be expensive and traded."

I've never heard of another country like that. Some questions arise as to how the hell demon stones are treated in a country where not many demon stones exist, and whether it would be the same in Lanzenave, which has connections to Arlensbach. Writing it down on the bookboard, Geebe Kilnberga began to speak quietly in a low voice.

"At the instigation of Bose Gates, Aub Eisenreich's targeting of Zent was the beginning of the apocalypse"

When I raise my face to my surprise, Geebe Kilnberga strokes his jaw a little before continuing the conversation again.

"At the time, Aub Eisenreich said he had as much power as he could aim for Zent. Aub was instigated to bring in the Bose Gates, and tried to break into the center for the Gluthris Heights."

I'm not the king now that I don't have a gluthrithheit. They tried to leave a real Zent with a gluthris height. Food and other support supplies were sent one after the other from Bose Gates, and Aub Eisenreich began using a transfer to the House of Lords to move supplies and knights to the dormitories one by one.

"Wasn't anyone on Aub's side to stop that big plan?

"I was there. But you didn't seem to be listening. When Aub's daughter realized she couldn't stop herself, she was single and drove the horseman to the center, telling Zent about her feelings."

While his father was moving supplies to the House of Lords, he said his daughter ran her horseback into the center.

"Enraged by the news of his daughter, Zent immediately closed the border gate and returned to the centre, where he ambushed the dormitory with the Central Knights, defeating Aub Eisenreich"

And, naturally, Eisenreich's clan of lords and the main aristocrats who attacked the center with the aim of treason were executed, Geebe continues.

"What happened to Aub's daughter who gave the information? Was she still a conclave, too?

"It was hardly an execution in collusion. Recognized for her loyalty to Zent and her prior attempts to stop treason, she became a new Aub Eisenreich."

To the words of Geebe Kilnberga, I stroked my ho breasts. I would have felt very bad aftertaste if they told me I was in a syndicate here. But the story didn't end here.

"But that's not an honor at all. The great territory Eisenreich was divided into medium territories by Zent into flaberturks, and many of the abundant mines that were further north than today's Haldenzel were given to Classenburg. My daughter seemed to have a royal fiancée at the time, but that engagement was forced to dissolve and she seemed to be re-engaged with a Lordship candidate who deserved to be in the Middle Territories"

Though his life was saved, the division of land and the loss of border gates and mines made him an Aub in a territory that no longer had major industries. I don't think Zent will reach out, no matter how much trouble Eisenreich has had, because he has been separated from his royal fiancée. Wasn't this a pretty heavy punishment?

"From around us we see it with the eye of a treasonous territory, and as we look around, the former great territory seems to have faded. And with the loss of the mine, the Risegang, who has even punched into agriculture, has become powerful in the nobility at once. And of course, there were the nobles of Eisenreich who were unhappy with it."

Although Aub and the main nobles were executed, not all the nobles of Eisenreich were executed. Apparently the majority of the remaining nobles missed their former glory and were leaking dissatisfaction with the status quo.

"The nobles weren't the only ones who were leaking grievances. The same goes for the Bose Gates, who were left behind by Eisenreich due to the sudden closure of the border gates without any notice. Those wishing to return home were gathered in Kilnberga, closest to the border gates."

There will also be a gathering of bards who listen to the parties and compose songs when there is a major incident. The moans of the Bose Gates and the stupid choices of Aub Eisenreich became popular songs and spread.

"In addition to the glory stories of the elderly, Eisenreich's next and successive lord candidates grew up listening to the bard's songs. And when we decided on the next Aub, the Lordship candidates' claims were split in two."

"Two truths, is it?

As I leaned my neck, Geebe Kirnberga nodded slowly.

"Those who wish Zent to open the border gates in order to return the Bose Gates who were only in contention to their homeland, and those who instigated the previous Aub are naturally punished together."

And he said that nobles who take it for granted that they will be punished as they are with nobles who want to restore the glory of the past to each Lordship candidate, developed into a feud to divide the territory.

"Aub's daughter mourned her lack of strength. Because neither the father, who has rebelled against Zent, nor the children or grandchildren, who have a dispute to bisect the decaying territory, can contain it. My daughter asked Zent to return her position as Aub and appoint a new Aub to rule the land."

And they say it was the first Aub Aerenfest to come with Zent who took the Central Knights. Kicking the nobles of Eisenreich hoping to open the border gates, Zent apparently used Gluthrithheit to reposition the foundations and rename Aerenfest and the territory so that Eisenreich would never seek glory of the past again.

"They said there was a castle in Eisenreich around now Grechel. If you think about it, you might say that it was just the right place to give it to you, the princess from the Great Territory of Arlensbach."

I will try to reconcile myself with my learned history as I write down the story of Geebe.

"You're a little different from the history I've learned. The first Aerenfest learned to attack and take the foundations."

"It doesn't make a difference that I attacked with the Central Knights and took the foundations from Aub at the time... you do have a slightly different impression"

Geebe Kilnberga agrees with me with a gentle nod. I looked up at Geebe Kilnberga as I closed Patali and the bookboard.

"Besides, I seem to have known Eisenreich's story. It was in a story I collected many times. As the story of a stupid Aub who defied Zent...... The name of the territory was different, so I didn't seem to know"

There was a similar story in the House of Lords. Though I thought it was a lesson story based on what used to be, I didn't think it was a story about Aerenfest a long time ago. If possible, I would like to compare it to a story that is passed down to other realms.

"Do you still have the literature for this story in Kilnberga?

"It's basically oral in the form of parents to children, from geebe to the nobles who serve. Literature is still there, but the text is a little too old to read."

... There it is!

I would love to read all of the literature that was stored where it actually happened.

"Geebe Kilnberga, may I read it? I can read old words, too. Besides, I'd like to find out the difference between what's spoken and what's written down, between what's left of Kilnberga and what's passed on to the Lords clan, and then, what's left of the royalty."

When I appealed to enthusiasm, Geebe Kilnberga pulled one step back, "I'll stay, well, I don't mind showing you..." I don't mind being pulled. I took the word that I could show it to you.

"Thank you, I know, Geebe Kilnberga"

Geebe Kilnberga asked quietly, looking down quietly at me who would have stuck with me if I hadn't written it down during his short stay.

"What would Master Rosemaine think of this story?

"Right....... I thought it would be really hard to rule Jürgenschmidt without Gluthrithheit. Can't we open and close the border gates, or alter the lines and foundations of the territory? Aub everywhere can't even activate power in an attempt to do something. I wonder how hard the king is struggling with the rule of Jürgenschmidt today."

I realized that the power of Zent was gluthris height. It would be because of the lack of glutrisheit that the current king is made a light-hearted statement or unable to leave the Great Territorial Opponent strongly.

With so much thought of the difficulty of Traokvar's position, Geebe Kilnberga got the same look he was told about unexpected things.

"Does this story make Lady Rosemayne conscious of King Traokvar's reign..."

"Is something wrong?

As I leaned my neck, Geebe exhaled slowly. And look at me quietly.

"Then I will change the question. What the hell qualities do you think are required of Aub of Aerenfest with a border gate closed by punishment from Zent?

"... qualities required of Aub Aerenfest?

I desperately contemplate the words of Geebe as I rebel. Isn't this a rather unsuccessful question?

"Does that mean that we have to make every effort to improve our territory, thinking that there is no deal by the border gates?

Having heard my answer, Geebe Kilnberga turns his gaze not outside the border gate, but towards the town of Kilnberga, which spreads inward.

"It does not depend on the opinions of others, and I believe that it is to serve Zent, who has the Gluthris Height, that governs Kilnberga. That is why I am so anxious that Mr. Wilfried, confused by the opinion of Risegang, who is only an aristocrat in the realm, will be the next Aub."

Apparently, Geebe Kilnberga is causing anxiety on the contrary to Vilfleet, who is moving to gain the support of Risegang. Speaking of which, one of Geebe Kilnberga's sons should have been near Wilfried's side.

"Did your son give you any information?

"Master Rosemaine only comes in to the extent you know..."

Geebe Kilnberga shut his mouth without trying to say any more. I wouldn't be able to tell you more than the informants are clear. We just have to scratch the information we need.

... I need to hear Brother Cornelius's report later.

"My son serves Lord Wilfried, but that doesn't lead to parental support as it is"

Realizing that Geebe's voice has become low and harsh, I stretch my spine much longer. It would be my fiancée's role to cover Wilfried here.

"It is my desire that Aub, who so stubbornly did not intend to marry the Second Lady, should work to make Aub marry the daughter of Geebe Grechel, distribute his proximity so that Aub and his wife can fill their holes, and then go for Aub to Master Rosemayne, who can hate the extra feud and choose to cage him in the temple"

... Huh? No, I'm not.

My adoptive father was willing to marry the Second Lady because of Brunhilde's solitary and presentation skills, Richarda said she wanted to go back from herself to her adoptive father, and Clarissa just couldn't let her into the temple.

"Geebe Kilnberga seems a little mistaken. My adoptive father marries the Second Lady because you considered the current state of Aerenfest and you made up your own mind. I did not give my opinion. Instead, I have retained Brunhilde, who was determined to marry my adoptive father, whom only my adoptive mother could see."

Geebe Kilnberga looked unexpected. Reasons will also be given for the fact that Richarda and Filine work on the side of the Aubs. I am telling the truth, but with an unconvincing look.

"But Lady Rosemaine is the most royal of the Lordship candidates..."

"Geebe Kilnberga"

I deepened my grin by blocking the words of Geebe. Whatever they say, as a former civilian I am not willing to go for Aub.

"Isn't it natural for Brother Wilfried, who aspires to be the next Aub, to consider getting Risegang's support?... Besides, if I nod to Geebe's request here, I think at that point I will be a lord candidate dictated by the words of others, but what reply does Geebe want?

After a moment of silence with a light eye, Geebe laughed furiously.

"Master Rosemaine knows exactly what you're thinking. It's a little windy here, so it sounds like it's time to go back to the hall. Let me give you the literature."

He seemed to know that I would never change my opinion, no matter how much I called him here. And I let out the horseman in relief, and boarded.
