Ascendance of a Bookworm

House of Lords' service ceremony

The day after I spoke with Eglantine, when I passed the lecture and went back to the dorm, Brunhilde rushed over. Apparently, there was an offer from Classenburg to talk about collaborative research by the service ceremony. But today is already the day of truth, the day before the service ceremony. I can't afford to talk to you at all before the dedication ceremony.

"What shall we do? By the service ceremony, even if they say so, we can only get about tomorrow morning. While the central temple clerics are getting ready, I think it's possible to face each other or talk a little, but isn't that rude?

I also asked Wilfried and Charlotte for their views on the request from Classenburg. They both make a difficult face.

"There are still two service ceremonies in themselves, so it's not like we really have to face each other before the first ceremony. But the representative of divinity is there at Aerenfest, so I think what we're looking for is a discussion with him."

It is often better to discuss before the ceremony what explanations to give to the students gathered for the service ceremony and from where to how far in the Classenburg range.

"A proximity of the other side would have been called in during the time of the rapprochement? Didn't we finish our discussion then?

"We're discussing ritual steps, but students aren't face-to-face with each other at all, because it's not a state of collaborative research. It's true that I want to keep it face-to-face first. I don't know the faces of the students, except for Janciane, who greeted me at a friendly meeting."

Neither does Wilfried and Charlotte seem to know the faces of the students in Classenburg.

"It's Brother Wilfried's ritual for Lady Janciane of Classenburg to participate, but are you okay without even meeting her first?

"Mm-hmm? I do want to keep you face-to-face by the time I do the service.... and next week? It's very difficult to take time."

It is Wilfried who will spend the longest time dealing with Krassenburg in this service ceremony. Because of my physical condition, Wilfried and Charlotte are supposed to perform the ritual, but there is no way I'm going out on the scene.

"Sister, brother. Shouldn't we set up a meeting place, even if we only have time tomorrow morning? It is possible that they would say that Aerenfest didn't set aside time even though they made the offer from Classenburg. It will be easier to show that Aerenfest has taken into account even during the sudden hours of tomorrow morning."

Let us leave it to the discretion of Classenburg to refuse the sudden invitation or not, Charlotte suggests. Socially, they'd better set aside time for a one-off meeting with Classenburg.

"I see. When they say no if it's too steep, it sounds like we should set up a place for discussion again next week. I'll accompany you when Crassenburg accepts. I'm the one who has to meet him face-to-face, and he'll be busy getting ready? It's hard to say you can handle a guy in Classenburg."

Charlotte also nodded in Wilfried's words, "Master Gianchiane is a woman, so it would be better if I were with you," he said. They'll come to the auditorium, although it's only for face-to-face meetings because it's magically hard to do the service many times. That helps.

"So tomorrow morning, after breakfast, time for the three bells to ring, we'll meet in the auditorium, and we'll see you at the tea party for more stories, okay? Brunhilde, please respond."

"Yes, I did.... I'll be there."

When Brunhilde speaks up, I can see Merhior's side-servicing apprenticeship following, not just Bertilde or Gretia. I know very well that I am in education.

Charlotte looked up unexpectedly as she was having a meeting with Classenburg about her face-to-face meeting.

"Um, a wooden plaque arrived from Aerenfest a while before your sister returned. Melchior's side and one civilian at a time, they're coming to the service tomorrow."

"Huh?"

"Looks like Melchior offered hope and your father gave you permission to experience it once in the vicinity before the service ceremony at the temple. They're putting together a blue costume so your sister's escort knights can cross."

They give out two young men who can't get all the Merhior escorts and neighbors in the castle to the House of Lords, but who are likely to expect to reacquire shelter.

"The students' neighbors also have orders from Merhior. So that I could go through the House of Lords service and come back with my sister Rosemayne by the time of Aerenfest's service."

"I've been told for a long time, so I'm working hard to finish the lecture," replies Melchior's proximity, who heard a message from Charlotte. As reliable as it can be.

The day of the service ceremony. When I have finished my breakfast, I will have myself cleansed and dressed in a ritual costume for the temple chief. It's not supposed to be the kind of costume to wear again and again in the House of Lords, but Rezelator was totally used to wearing it. I know exactly what Bertilde is seriously trying to remember by staring at the reseller at hand.

Rosemayne, Melhior's flanks have arrived from Aerenfest.

"If you're all set, head to the auditorium."

I give my voice to the faces in blue costumes. The adult knights of my escort, the proximity of Melchior, and Wilfried and Charlotte are wearing blue costumes, leading the chief cleric Hartmoot. Quite a number of people. They are not wearing blue costumes, although the vicinity of Wilfried and Charlotte is with them because they have discussions with Classenburg.

Head to the auditorium with everyone in blue costumes. He asked the side of Merhior, who had just arrived from Aerenfest on the road, what was happening to Merhior and the children's room. Merhior apparently runs well.

I also tell them that the proximity of Melchior, who is in the House of Lords, is acting with my proximity and is taught various things.

"When you pass the lecture and have free time, the Knight Apprentices will teach or arch Brother Cornelius and Leonore how to identify and handle poison. The civilian apprentices are to be accompanied here and there by Haltmut and Dermuel on the work of the temple and paperwork, while the sideline apprentice is to be accompanied here and there by Brunhilde, who has completed his lecture. Until we get back to Aerenfest's service ceremony, though."

After that, there will be no more pre-construction for the adult group to enter the House of Lords, so the deadline is set, but a fairly intensive education is supposed to take place.

When I walked into the auditorium, I saw a bunch of black cloaks and blue clerics working busily. Those blue ones must be from the central temple.

This time again, Hildebrandt seems to have undertaken the role of opening the door that leads between the deepest, with the Central Knights. Hildebrandt laughed nicely as he noticed us entering the auditorium.

"Rosemaine, you're early."

"Oh, isn't Prince Hildebrandt quicker? You're here today to help me open the door, even though I'm not taking part in this divine matter, right?

It's tough for the royal family, too, but exchange greetings. A group of Crassenburgers came there too. Janciane first exchanged greetings with Hildebrandt and turned to me.

"Dear Rosemaine, thank you for your consideration of my sudden offer."

"Dear Janciane, the order will change, but let me introduce you from the hasty. They put together their blue costumes, but they are the ones who help with the temple work near the Lord's Candidate. You'll also see him at intermediate and junior service after this."

I quickly introduced Hartmoot and the others. Though the escort knight shall be kept by my side, the chief priests, Haltmut and the proximity of Merhior, must prepare for the ritual with the blue priests of the central temple.

"From now on, we will prepare for the ritual and the final meeting with the people of the Central Temple. Will you be accompanied by someone from Classenburg?

As Janciane glances back at the woman next door, several walk towards the altar about Haltmoot. After I drop it off, I introduce Gianciane to Wilfried and Charlotte.

"The two will have intermediate and junior service ceremonies. I asked you to come today for a face-to-face meeting. Let's take our time to discuss the details later. What kind of research does Crassenburg make up its mind?

"There is an old book in Classenburg that seems to be about divinity. We want to learn how to do divinity through this service ceremony and study the reproduction of old divinity, how about that?

He thought that if we could revive the divinity that is passed down to our own territory in the right way, just like Dunkelferger, it would be useful for the territory, and it would be an easy ritual for the nobles to perform.

"It seems very eye-catching. I would love to see the statement of divinity in that book."

My head antenna moves pickly on the word old books spoken by Janciane. I wanted to see it, I wanted to read it, and Janciane smiled with joy.

"It's too old for me to bring it up, so I plan to try to reproduce it based on what I wrote. I plan to bring the copies to the discussion, but I would love to see them for Rosemayne."

... Dear Janciane, aren't you a good boy? Aren't you such a good girl?

"Even Aerenfest has correctly revived old rituals. The effect of that ritual was wonderful. If we make the part about reproducing old divinity a common study, and the part about what rituals could have been reproduced a unique study, we're going to form a collaborative study."

If the Spring Calling ritual to be performed at Haldenzel's prayer ceremony were to be used as Aerenfest's research material, we would likely be able to shape the research in less time. Wilfried and Charlotte also nodded in my words.

"If it was that study, the example of Haldenzel would be good. I'm here to talk to Geebe and the others, so I think I can help you, sister."

"That's Charlotte. You're reliable."

By the time we talked a little about face-to-face and research summaries, the ritual seemed ready. The blue clerics of the central temple came out from the deepest part. The one leading the way is Haltmoot, who walks straight to me.

"Dear Rosemaine, we're all set"

"Thank you. I know, Haltmoot. You must have explained it to everyone, right?

In addition to Merhior's neighbors, students from Classenburg also took a prep tour. I think Haltmoot, the explanator, had a tough time. As I labored, Haltmut laughed nicely, "The blue clerics of the central temple say they will see the ritual, but what shall we do?" and turned his gaze to Immanuel.

They are also bringing in the Holy Grail of Divine Fixtures from the Central Temple for this service ceremony. That's why Immanuel says he wants to be present at the ceremony. I shook my neck sideways to Immanuel, who preached on the importance of the divine artifact and insisted that they had more right to participate in it than they had to be present and see it through, or prepare for it.

"The blue priests of the Central Temple fell at the Lords' Conference service ceremony, so please refrain from today's service ceremony, which brings together Lords' candidates and senior nobles. To eliminate the danger at all, those who do not take part in the divinity are not to be allowed inside the chapel, either by the royal family or by its escort knights. If you really have to see it with your own eyes, do not bring the Holy Grail of the Central Temple to the service of the lower nobles"

I don't think there's anything like losing consciousness without even being able to stop yourself if it's a dedication ceremony for a minor junior nobleman. You should be able to stop the ritual on your own. Reluctantly to my word, Immanuel left with the chalice of the central temple.

I will enter the depths with Vilfleet, Charlotte and Gianciane, and will show them by checking the offerings of the altar and the statues of God, the divine objects, and the red carpet properly laid. The students in Classenburg were desperate to refrain from doing so.

Make sure you're ready with no problems, tell Hildebrandt you're ready, and have the royalty contact you. That's the end of the prep.

"Ask today's participants about the flow of the service ceremony, Dear Janciane. For today, we'd better get back to the dorm before the other participants arrive."

If I wander around poorly, I lose my chance to go back. In thanksgiving for my words, I began Janciane, and Vilfreet and Charlotte also returned to the dormitory.

"I'll strain Aerenfest and Classenburg, but please say hello"

"We are honored to help you with Zent. It's the same people who attended the service last year."

Just like last year, he puts the royalty inside first, putting the Lords candidates and senior nobles in the deepest between them while using the wind shield to sort them out. It seems that whoever has something guilty in his heart has decided not to take part from the start because he knows there is a wind shield this year. Those who wished to participate were put in the deepest part without a single shedding.

Several territories thanked me for restoring the collection area, and I was asked how it would be efficient to pray because I wanted to work hard to regain protection upon graduation. It is just a bit of a pleasure to have been able to confirm the existence of a territory that is positive towards divinity.

"It's most efficient to pray for someone else, not for yourself. How about we pray for each other with our loved ones?

"Lady Rosemaine, who has a fiancée to give you such lovely hair decorations, says briefly, it may be a little difficult for me to still have no fiancée"

That's what they said with a depressed face, and I said, "Ooh! I'm sorry!" I apologize in my heart.

"Um, it's okay to be family, relatives, friends, not fiancées, and while we won't be praying for each other, the object of prayer doesn't have to be a person. Because the Lords are praying for their territory."

"Friend, is that it? Thank you. I know."

A female student who appears to have recovered will be guided to the designated position by the side of Merhior.

Last year we lined up in donuts around the Holy Grail, but this year the royals are lined up in front row, in order of lord candidates and senior nobility towards the altar. Though only the hopeful, unlike last year, there are a huge number of people because they are not just civilians, but also knights and sidekicks.

When everyone enters, the door closes and the ritual begins. When Haltmoot says his mouth and makes everyone kneel, he rings the bell in his hand with Shan.

"Temple Commander, Admission"

In keeping with Haltmoot's voice, I began to walk surrounded by my own escort knights.

... Even at Aerenfest, the service ceremony takes place not in the prayer room, but in a room in the aristocratic area, so this may be the first time that a service ceremony has been held towards an altar where there is a statue of God.

He walked upright while everyone lined up and got out in front of the royal family and knelt in the front row. The escort knights are handing over magical caged demon stones so that the front row is not burdensome.

And I looked around, and gazed with Haltmoot, and nodded one. Haltmoot lays down his bell and kneels next to me. I also knelt and laid my hands on the red carpet.

"I am the one who created and paid the world and prayed and thanked the gods."

I guess we're hearing from those who attended last year's service ceremony and the adults who attended the service ceremony for the Lords' Conference. Words of prayer were recited and divinity began smoothly. Magic keeps flowing through the red carpet, becoming a wave of light, running up the altar. It was a service ceremony full of magical nobles, so the light flowed faster than the divinity to do at Aerenfest, and even the altar seemed sparkling.

More and more magic flows towards the altar, and the demonic stones of the divine instruments held by the statue of the white God begin to shine in their respective precious colors. This is the first phenomenon not seen at Aerenfest's service ceremony.

"Grace all living beings who breathe, honor the gods, and do not be rewarded with the grace of their noble divine power."

Shortly afterwards, each precious pillar of light rose from all the Divine Fixtures. The seven lights, once upright, rise, so that they are twisted and entangled, and fly away in one lump.

... Wow, it's flashy to have all the god's equipment.

"Dear Rosemaine, it's time to limit ourselves."

Darmuel, who was kneeling next to him opposite Hartmoot, says so painfully, keeping the demon stone and hands off the floor.

"The ritual is over. Gentlemen, keep your hands off the floor."

... I didn't expect all the god's equipment to glow, but I'm glad it just glowed and ended with nothing.

I stroke my breasts down that I have successfully completed the service ceremony. Maybe the royalty, who was terrified of what would happen, is in the same mood. I found him looking like he was out of his mind.

After taking recovery pills and giving them some time to rest, they kick the students out of the depths. Afterwards, the accumulated magic will be transferred by the royal family to the Demon Stone, transported to the Guardian Knight, and the people of the Central Temple will clean up after them.

"Zent, are you sure you want to share a little magic in the library, too? There's probably not enough magic this year because Dr. Altancia isn't here."

"Father, you will have trouble losing the magic of the library, so divide it for Rosemaine"

There is also the mouthfeel of Gigisvalt, who told me that Zent would share his magic with pleasure.

"How do you carry magic to the library?

"It's okay because you carry it in my chalice....... ale de grar"

Deform the Starp to create My Holy Grail and have it instill magic there. The surroundings seem to agree with Anastasius, who is whining, "Still incalculable in common sense," but I would like to object to the way he says it, beyond the fact that I am no longer the only one who can make divine objects in Starp.

... I won't raise any objections at all because it's troublesome.

I had as much magic poured into the Holy Grail last year as I had poured into the demonic stones of the library, and I decided to go to the library with my closest friends. Ask Leonore to fly Ordnants to the library and have Cornelius and Darmuel hold the Holy Grail. When I was ready to leave, I looked around at the royalty. I should have been told last year I needed a royal glance.

"If you look out for the royal family, I'll be there this year"

When I and I gazed, Gigisvalt came up with a name. As far as I'm concerned, whoever sees you is fine, so I reply, "Thank you," and walk out with my closest friends.

When I left the auditorium, I saw that the students who were outside the auditorium would step back to us. Is it because everyone nearby is wearing a blue costume, so it looks like a complete queue of temples? Or is it because Gigisvalt is in the lead?

We leave the central building with our surrounding attention. The moment I went outside, I realized that the magic formations covering the House of Lords sky were emitting a strong light. I unwittingly stop and look up at the sky.

... Wow, sounds like praying in front of the altar in between the deepest was some trigger after all.

The magic has gone far enough and doesn't look strange whenever it starts. If there was another trigger, it would make a move.

... but what should I do after this? Another prayer?

Can we go to the underground library without Altancia, who wanted tips on what to do after this but was one of the keepers of the keys?

"Rosemaine, what's wrong? You're making a difficult face."

As soon as I entered the crossing, Gigisvalt called out as he worried about me, who had stopped on his feet. Gigisvalt doesn't seem to see the magic formations above him. I walk out to the library shaking my neck to the side.

"I'm not worried about the absence of Dr. Altancia in the House of Lords this year. Dr. Altancia was the one who managed the keys to the library, wasn't he? Don't you have a substitute senior civilian?

Gigisvalt grinned bitterly as I asked, making him smell like he might not be able to go to the underground library.

"It was Altancia that Laobrut persuaded me to take office tenaciously, and it was just before the House of Lords began that I was contacted that I was unlikely to be able to go to the House of Lords. You won't find a substitute civilian anytime soon. … However, since there is a voice from Classenburg calling Janciane a librarian, we would like her to register by the end of the lecture"

Gigisvalt suggests that if we increase the number of librarians and align the custodians of the keys, it will not be okay. I don't mind more librarians because I'm worried about the magic supply to Schwartz and the others, and Solange will be lonely on his own.

"But would it be okay without a single senior clerk?

"That's something I can't answer without trying."

I arrived at the library while I was talking to Gigisvalt like that. Schwartz and Weiss jump around me as usual next to Solange and Gigisvalt, who were picking me up, exchanging greetings.

"Himesama, Kitata"

"Himesa, hon.?

"Well, that's a very heart-catching invitation, but I'm here today to supply magic,"

"I really appreciate Master Rosemaine's concern," Solange smiles, leading me to last year's magic fixture.

"Dr. Solange, there must have been a demonic stone you kept from Dr. Altancia, right? Let's fill you with magic first. If Schwartz and the others run out of magic before the librarian finishes his lecture, it'll be tough."

"Well, that helps. Because with my magic, I'm responsible for the library's daily work."

Tell him I will spend longer this year at Aerenfest, and I will fill the Holy Grail with magic by soaking the demonic stones of the sky I have received from Solange. And I had the remaining magic poured into the same big demon stone as last year. The rainbow got a little darker, so I'll be fine again for a while.

... That's it. Finish your work today.

Next to Gigisvalt staring intriguingly at the magic equipment of the library, I erased the chalice, which I had finished for, and exhaled, Phew, having finished my work. The next moment, Schwartz and Weiss pulled my hand.

"Himesama, it's all right."

"Oh, my God, I'm fine."

"Oh, speaking of which, Dr. Altancia isn't here, so it sounds like you should supply the magic there, too. What do we do, Dr. Solange? May I supply it?

Altancia, a senior aristocrat, took office, so I left it to him without a hand, but if he wasn't there, he'd be better off supplying you with magic. It's tough when the library suddenly stops functioning while you're unaware.

"If Master Rosemaine can afford it, thank you. Because I, the intermediate aristocrat, cannot supply all sorcery..."

Looks like it's gotten really tough without Altancia. Sorryfully Solange asked me to go upstairs to the browsing room. I took recovery pills after the service ceremony, so I have no problems at all magically.

"Prince Gigisvalt, I, I will also provide magic supplies to the magic equipment upstairs"

"Rosemaine really matters about the library, doesn't she? To be honest, I didn't think we were supplying the library with a lot of magic so far."

Smiling and nodding at the words of Gigisvalt, I go up the stairs with Schwartz and his neighbours. The magic supply to "Jazza" should have touched the demonic stone of Gluthrithheit, which is in the hands of the statue of Mestionora behind the upstairs viewing room.

I touched the demonic stone of Gluthrithheit. Instead, magic is sucked. When I was running magic without knowing how much I needed, a magic formation suddenly floated firmly behind my brain.

I accidentally closed my eyes when the magic formation seemed glowing over the view in front of me and my eyes tickled. I can see the magic formation firmly in my darkened vision.

... the same way you feel when you can make a godware?

As soon as I thought of it, I felt like my body floated in the universe. I panic and open my eyes to see if I'm about to fall out of balance.

"Huh? What?

For some reason I stood alone in a dark space.
