Ashes and Kingdoms

1-4. Sprinkling Hazards

The chatter was interrupted as the temple's youngest came to pick up his stuff. The youngest inspected Finn's luggage with a humble eye, thanked him for his mojo, and stood in anticipation of something.

Apparently, I'm supposed to carry my stuff in. Finn guessed and decided to return to the ordeal.

"Bye, Nellis. Say hello to your uncle and aunt. I hope you're okay."

"Me too."

Nellis replied, then reached out as if he thought of it, touching Finn's forehead and chest with two fingers as he snapped something small.

"What?

"Bullshit. Master Fianella taught me. I may be rested... but anyway, don't let Brother Finn get hurt"

Nellis glanced over his shoulder with an ambiguous expression. I know it's serious in heart, but putting it on the table, I guess I feel like there's a danger coming down to reality. If you pretend that it's not a big deal, you're unconsciously pretending that you can avoid disaster.

Finn probed thinly inside her like that and smiled.

"Thank you. You too."

In a warm voice, he stroked his sister's head.

Then, and now it was time for the two of them to break up, and Nellis ran down the stairs to be rushed. Finn carries the load again and turns to the temple's mercy with guidance from his youngest son. All the while I took Finn, the youngest kept talking in a rash.

Thank you so much for everything, thanks to the soldiers, some people in town say badly, but we appreciate it, yes, it's true...

Finn answered nothing to his humble obedience. I might have shut up once I said that I was not a regular legion soldier, but now I could easily imagine being prestigious and scattered by overlooked quotes. By the way carrying heavy baggage, thank the temple. I don't want to be left standing.

As I walked in silence, I felt sarcasm over the corner of my head.

I can't help it if they say I'm more bored than a dead fish.

Most of all, this man is not a heartbeating talker, so even this one doesn't feel any comfort in keeping quiet about the tombstone.

All in all, Finn managed to reach the temple vault and was finally released from the load. But there he found out what was waiting for him, and he accidentally put it out in his mouth and moaned.

"Jokes are tough."

At the end of the desperate Finn's gaze, Igross looked so pitiful that he sat on the stone steps of the table. A medic with a temple is crouching at its feet and putting a damp cloth on it.

"Not at all. Are the gods sarcastic enough, or do they hate us?"

Igross snorts with Hun. The pharmacist raised his face and blamed him with his eyes, but he didn't care.

"I didn't expect you to give me protection and get a sprain. Damn abominable."

"Is it awful?"

You can't walk on your own? So much so that I have to go home in charge?

Smelling the anxiety of a voiceless fin, Igross slowly distorted his mouth.

"No big deal. Borrow a cane and you can walk on your own. I'm worried about you. Take it till night."

……

I didn't know what they meant, and Finn frowned, but there was no further explanation. As Igros said himself when he was ready, he stood up on his own with a cane.

"So I have to be ready for the captain's iron fist now or something, ever... You know how to get home? I'll go back first, but you pray to Master Fianella and come after me later. I need your help."

The look on his face is serious, even though he gives strange orders. Finn was puzzled, but in the last five days he had understood the futility of asking "why" and "why", so he just nodded "yes" aloud and stepped back.

Igross apparently took a few steps in an unbridled foothold, then got the hang of it, and slowly left. Finn had unconsciously placed his hand around his chest as he dropped off his back. That way, as if I could calm my anxiety minds.

When Igross disappeared into the shadow of the building, Finn returned to me and ran towards the temple.

And there were plenty of prayers for salvation, and Fianella the priest put a serene word unto every man that would persevere, and was slandering.

"Dear Fianella,"

As Finn reluctantly called, Fianella looked up and smiled.

"Hello, Phineas. Long time no see."

"Do you remember me?"

"Yeah, sure. Because you have always been a courteous child since you were in the orphanage. I've been as firm as an adult since I was a kid like this, and I was worried I'd be okay. Although, so far, it seems to have grown fine."

Hehe, laughing nostalgically, Fianella invited. Finn kneels before the priest, looking complicated, not sure if he was praised or not. The head was gently pinched with both hands, and Fianella turned to her true face.

"You're here to receive your blessings. Igross sprained, so I thought it might not be..."

"What do you mean?

Finn surprises me. Fianella's merciful grin faintly grinned.

"You've seen it, too, but the way the ex-combatants behaved has never been complimented. But still, we have to forgive them. No, I even have to thank you. You'll know what that means. Now I don't want to say anything extra to scare you. I just want to say thank you to Audia."

Pale, she gently put her lips on Finn's forehead. And, "Oh," he said, blinking his eyes.

"You are already protected by Lady Naina. Did someone bless you?

"What?" Finn said for a moment, then remembered oh. "Nellis... my sister, she put a bullet in me. He said he happened to go to a party in front of the temple. Master Fianella taught me."

"That kid... Really?"

Good, Fianella narrows her eyes. Finn was stirred up with anxiety by that expression and voice that made some sense. But Fianella did not explain, touching Finn's shoulders with two fingers.

"May there be blessings, then, not only on the daughter God, but also on the mother God"

From where Daia, the god of the sky, and Audia, the goddess of the sea, came into contact, Naena, the goddess of the earth. That is the myth about the formation of this Diatius.

I couldn't believe that Nellis' mundane patronage would dwell on the goddess Naina, but Finn silently received Fianella's blessing. I was aware that I didn't seem to have the delicate feeling of that hand, and now I want as much protection as I can, even if I'm resting. If it had been before such a rough state, the story would have laughed off that Nellis might have priestly qualities, etc.

Either way, Finn thanked Fianella for her spare time and ran out to the barracks.

I caught up with a cursory walking igloss along the way, but he turned down Finn's help and stared at Finn like he was still exploring something before saying.

"Go back and report this to the captain. Running to the barracks."

He told me to run again, and Finn flashed his face for a moment. but I will not give a verbal answer and do as I am commanded if yes. I've been used to keeping running for a long time in the last five days. Finn looked back, wondering if it would be harder to stop his legs this time, etc.

Igross stared at Finn as he leaned against the wand. with a conscious look of sin. Finn finally found out why, after reporting it to Masud.

"That idiot said he sprained his leg!?

Masud barked back in tandem that there was no more, kicking the wall of the room upset. A new stain is added to the number of shoe marks already attached. Finn held his mouth so as not to say anything unnecessary and remained upright as he finished his report.

Masud sputtered a slight curse and curse, then he stuffed up to Finn and peered into his eyes up close.

"So, you've been well blessed by Master Fianella, haven't you?

"Yes."

"Then follow me. Fuck you."

I guess it wasn't about Finn who cursed me, it was about Igross who isn't here. After a rough walk through the barracks, Finn also anxiously clouded his face.

It was the courtyard that was taken, and, as usual, several of them were wielding wooden swords. Masud took one from where the spare wooden sword was standing and threw it at Finn and came over.

"Hold it with your dominant hand. In the other hand, this is it."

The next thing he threw was an unfired pine light, not a shield. Finn had each in his hands and felt the understanding spread twitchy to his brain. Then, fear.

"... No way, this"

I was going to pretend to be calm, but my voice blurred. Masud distorts his mouth to an ironic grin.

"I thought it would be better if I worked out my legs. If you resent me, resent Igross. I'll put an archery on the street. Sleep well afterwards. When the evening bell rings... you know where you're going, don't you?

Cold silence descended. Several soldiers who were around also perceive the situation from the two conversations and stare at Finn with a frightened face.

(Oh, please protect me. Dear Mother Audia, Dear Naina)

Finn closed his eyes and prayed to the two goddesses. My heart wasn't at peace, but I was ready. Open your eyes and look back at Masud's wretched eyes.

"Yes," he answered with a firm voice. "of the castle gate… outside"

"Yes."

Come on, Masud pulls Finn out into the courtyard. I don't know how useful an archery of the blade would be. But it's better than not.

(At least, it'll be a little ritual)

Finn thought deliberately and sarcastically, gripping the pattern of the wooden sword. Once I wanted to be a legion soldier, and did my quintessential archery with a handmade wooden sword, but now I wonder what it's for holding the wooden sword again.

(To live, idiot. Hang on!)

Finn pulls his lips together and sets up his sword. Masud's relentless archery began.
