Ashes and Kingdoms

3-1. Each Destination

Chapter Three

"Okay. If that's the case, there's no choice."

Besides my thoughts, Nellis was so convinced that Finn and Taz, who were in shape, clapped out. To the blatant reaction of the two, Nellis gets annoyed at the loss of mood.

"What. I'm not against everything, either. I'm worried about Olya... and I know you can't talk about your brother unless you grow feathers on your back."

"Nellis......"

"Anyway, be careful, right? Because sometimes your brother really, helplessly becomes an idiot. Don't be fooled or stuck in your neck in an extra mess and you won't be able to move. Promise me you'll join us at Comrith."

"Oh. I promise. As soon as I get word of Oria and Nix, I'll be on my way to Comris. Maybe I'll get two ransoms out of your wallet."

Finn joked and responded, but Nellis didn't laugh and gave me one fist on the tannic side.

"It's not funny. If you ever need it, you'd better cry to the Emperor."

"Right."

"That's right. I'm telling you, we can't afford that much, can we? I've become extraordinarily rich compared to when I left Nanais, but that's because at last, I can live a crowded life with everything I need for work. Even the Dragon Marquis is still poor!

Finn was stabbed in the nail and gave a grumpy salute. Taz laughs, you're the same, and you tear it up. Nellis looked at the two like that and changed his face.

"... Speaking of which, Taz was in the same orphanage as your brother"

"Hmm? Oh, yeah"

Taz is surprised at what's happening now. Nellis compared him to his brother and continued with caution.

"Does Taz know who his parents are?

Taz squeezed his eyes at the abrupt question, and the fellows he was listening to on the calf turned odd, and Oandus crept across it. Nellis pretended not to notice the upset of her parents and asked in a mild tone.

"If you don't like it, I'll stop talking about this. Look, there's a lot going on in the orphanage, right? Sometimes I don't know anything like your brother, and he's dead because he's close to me."

"Oh, then I'm just like Finn. He was dumped in front of the gate, Kuchi."

Taz replied openly. There is no way in my voice or expression that I take that fact seriously. "Yeah," Nellis nodded.

"Now, like Olya... it's a common story that you don't know where you're going or that your closeness will be variant... except for your brother or Taz, right? Doesn't that bother you? I wonder who the parents are and where they are."

It took a tremendous amount of effort to say the words casually. I might hurt both of you, I might be able to guess what I found out to my parents.

Please, I hope you think I'm just nervous about a delicate topic!

Nellis' wish came through, or Taz and Finn looked at each other and smiled and shook their heads to reassure them all.

"No."

"I haven't really thought about it."

To a light reply, Nellis is weaker this time.

"Oh, that's what it is? Look, don't you actually dream about being a millionaire or a nobleman?

"Oh, then sure," Taz concurs seriously. "My real parents are rich, they're just keeping me here for a second, and one day, I'm sure, they'll bring me a bunch of sweets, or something like that."

"When the punishment of pranks leaves you without a snack, I guess."

Finn makes fun of him and Taz makes a mockery of the memories he shares. Nellis looked frightened and nodded, "Sooka." Finn stroked her head pounding and said softly.

"I don't care about birth. When I was in the hospital, my teachers and friends were my parents and now you, my uncle and my aunt, are my family. Nowhere else."

"Phineas......!

Oandus clogged his voice and embarked on himself. In a hurry Finn takes half a step backwards and shows off his escape posture. My people laughed more and more. Nellis also laughed together and shook her head softly to pay for the concern of persistently sitting in the corner of her heart.

"That's fine. I got a little worried."

"Yeah?"

"Look, your brother has become a dragon marquis. As soon as I came to this town, all sorts of people stopped by to try to get close. If they find out your brother was an orphan, don't come out full of frigid relatives."

"It's okay, it doesn't matter who comes out now. Besides, you'll soon know if it's a lie or not."

Nellis was frightened by the words he casually said. My brother remembers that he sees a man's heart, tense, and leaves to escape from his hand placed on his head.

"Oh well. Yes, you did."

Although Nellis couldn't help but make a bright voice, she couldn't keep an eye on Finn. Even if I knew he'd get hurt if I got this attitude, it's better than getting a peek at the truth.

Finn said with a slightly lonely smile.

"Nellis, even if you're hiding something, all I know is that you have a secret, and I don't see it to the point. Don't worry. That's because there's no dragon's eye."

"What the hell is that?"

Nellis stared at his brother with suspicious eyes. Finn stands aside and flaunts his shoulder and looks at Mac for consent.

"It's easy to understand, isn't it?

"Eh. Uh, yeah, well, sometimes"

Mac answers vaguely and distracts from Nellis' stabbing gaze. Fauna laughed with pleasure and went into arbitration.

"What do you do when girls your age don't have secrets? You can't bother pointing that out, brother."

…………

Finn is silenced after being called out for nothing. Taz laughed and jerked off that back. Nellis also smiles bitterly and turns back to the original topic as if it wasn't awkward or something.

"Well, no, brother, if you have some business to do by the time you leave, tell me early, right? I'll get you some wound pills and whatever you might need."

"Oh, thank you"

"Don't forget your errands over here. You wouldn't be happy to see your grandfather."

Taz pushes caution. Finn nodded, "I remember you properly," then tilted his neck in a slightly surprising manner.

"But if you're really a magician, what were you doing at the Nakte Lords' Palace in the first place? Marquis Senato doesn't seem like a man with a magician in his way, but if it's for real gain, it doesn't seem like he hasn't used his powers effectively before."

"Even we didn't ask the lord directly, 'What's that grandfather?' so we don't know the area. He was hired by Senato's great-grandmother. If it's not even harmful, I wouldn't mind messing with one dusty jerk in the dark room in the corner of the mansion."

"Well, that's not your house."

"Naturally. Try sailing on the same boat as that one, and I'll throw Grandpa into the ocean in three days. Otherwise, I'll push you into the corner of the barn and completely ignore its existence."

Finn had to smile bitterly as Taz said in a heartfelt discomfort.

"I hope not for both sides."

"You said something like that."

That bastard, and Taz blurred in his mouth. What is grudging is the surface of the loose Orne River, which flows south from the Imperial Capital. The wind blowing across a wide river with nothing to block was cold enough to freeze, but I didn't feel like getting off on board.

And Senato, who came to the side, put a fine fur cloak on Taz's shoulder.

"I know you don't want to go down there, but if you're here in such thin clothes, you'll catch a cold no matter how sturdy Taz is."

"If that happens, I wonder if you can cure me with that old man's puffy puffy puffy."

"Even so, you wouldn't ask for it"

"Naturally. I'd like you to see Nella anyway."

To Taz, who skipped the same joke, Senato gave me a gaze that just said, "If only I had a fever," and shook my head, for Christ's sake. Then lean in line to the fringe and look at the shoreline with melancholy.

The ship was slowly flowing down south. The destination is Siros.

The cause of the two grumpings was the presence of the sorcerer Orgin on board. I guess I'm still doing something in the dark corner of the cabin downstairs, and I want to fly off the spot. About that, for both of us, that sorcerer was an abomination.

Nonetheless, Finn only saw the sorcerer at first sight from afar, affirming that it was not dangerous.

"It does haunt a dim shadow, but it's the same thing as Marquis Senato and the Commander of the Rufus Army. He's not a shadow per se, or at least he doesn't look malicious or hostile to the people around him"

I agree with Taz that he doesn't like it, but Finn added that he seemed almost sorry, but didn't give up the point that there was no reason to imprison him.

"I want you to be more disciplined."

Taz unconsciously, voiced and blurred. Not at all, not worth friends. I could have guessed a little, cautioned, and made a decision about it.

"I can't help it."

Senato responded carelessly on the side. That's right, and Taz nods. but what senato was trying to say was not what he thought.

"He's a dragon marquis."

"... what?

What the hell, Taz blinked his eyes and looked at Senato.

As a child molester, I know very well that Phineas has long been a stupid honest and stubborn disciplined man. Often I get sick of it, but that's why I can trust you. Therefore, I have no choice. What Taz is giving up is in that sense, and it doesn't matter if it's Dragon Hou or not.

Whatever the puzzling taz, Senato continued to snap.

"Phineas seems a lot more serious than Taz, he's polite, and I thought he seemed like a good guy. After all, Dragon Marquis sees things differently than people."

"No, you know, wait a minute. He's an inconvenient fool, an honest stubborn man, but that's not because he's become a dragon marquis."

"Even so," Senato turned around and stared decently at Taz. "If you're a human, you might want to be careful, I think you said so. It doesn't matter what we think of that magician, if we're normal people, there's no way we can be sure of it, no matter how dangerous it seems."

…………

After unexpected allegations, Taz was frightened and stunned. Senato sees such a shock of him and turns a blind eye.

An awkward silence ensued. Waterfowl feathers strike the surface and a dog barks from somewhere far away. Then finally, Taz coughed up and opened his mouth.

"Still, he's my friend."

"I know. I don't want to think Dragon Marquis is any different than all humans."

I didn't know it looked like an organic Utia - so crushed inside, Senato shook his head gently to pay for the memory of the white bones buried in the tree sea.

"That's why we're going to Siros. I was born in the family of Dragon Hou, and I knew nothing of the truth... that my ancestors had children with dragons, or even that my relatives had killed me. If it's an emperor's villa in Siros, I'm sure you'll find something... a book with the truth. We need to learn what to watch out for, not just because Dragon Marquis actually showed up."

"Maybe he'll find something, too."

Taz roared, turning the topic back to the starting point. Senato flaunted his shoulder.

"At least there, no artifacts from the war are stored. Even if you get some knowledge, it doesn't mean you can start making noise right away. I don't think that magician would do much harm if he just read the book."

"You thought that far, and you invited that grandfather"

"You have no choice, do you? Phineas has flown west, the Tenryu squad people are going from Siros to Comris, and His Majesty the Emperor is busy dealing with the councillors. Wouldn't it be tough if he snuck into the treasure trove with everyone's eyes open?"

Taz nods "I see" in a way that impresses him, even to a boy who only naturally responds. Senato made a slightly more annoying face as to whether it was illuminating.

"Wouldn't you be surprised at that? You thought you were stupid about me."

"No, no, there's no annihilation, son. More importantly, does a treasure trove have such a lot of treasure?

Taz hastily deceived. I'm thinking a lot, even though it's small, and if I divulge honesty with you, etc., it's visible that the storm of rage will blow. Senato glanced at Taz as she could see, but pride interrupted her questioning and ended up pointing at Pu and Sou.

"I don't know. I didn't even see it all..."

Say it, take a breath. At the end of the distant gaze, in the far east sky, a bright red light was shining. He flickers like a star and slowly ascends to heaven as he pulls his thin tail.

"What, that?

Taz also noticed and embarked himself off the edge of the ship, shading him. Senato was clutching her clothes chest unconsciously as she stared into the sky.

"I don't know. I've never seen that...... but I don't know, I feel bad"

"Oh. That's so ominous."

Taz crosses his fingers and makes a fuss about avoiding harm. Two stares ahead, the red light faded away softly.

Finn was also looking at the same light on Lena's back around that time.

As he was flying west, he accidentally caught a chill and looked back reflexively, and the red light jumped into his eyes.

"Lena! That light..."

"Yes, the power of the flames is trembling. Something happened to Master Gence's dragon.

Lena, who answers, can't hide the upset either. Neither of them said it from either side, but went down to the ground looking for the right place. It's an unexplored wasteland with no people around it and rocks rolling. Finn looked up at the east sky again as he got off Lena's back. The light diminishes and is sucked into far heights as it blinks.

"Did General Glaus defeat the Dragon Marquis in the East?"

"Maybe that's what I'm saying."

Lena became a person and held us anxiously. Finn almost unconsciously turns his arm around her shoulder. We both felt we needed someone to lean on. So much so that he was in shock.

(horrible)

The first thing that sprang to my mind was cold anxiety. Fear and vigilance that we will be pierced by spears next. I once understood why Lena said that humans are scared. Humans know no fear. I don't know what to do. Even the existence of a dragon after God strikes down like that.

Finn slowly exhaled his deep breath and then finally, no, corrected the thought.

(General Glaus won. Good for you)

This also calms the turmoil in the East. Emperor Varys can be relieved, and people's lives will calm down a little. If the country stabilizes, it may also turn its troops and funds to restore order in the north.

(yes, it was good)

To tell you, I won't let the vain I recruit deceive you. I guess we shouldn't have involved dragons in human strife in the first place.

"... is he dead"

"I don't know," Lena replied when the puffiness and fin snapped.

"Even if you survived, you must have suffered a lot."

He led himself to a flaming dragon that he had never seen before, and the two stood still. After a while Finn regained his mind and shook his head gently to look around.

"I can't help but stop here. Let's hurry."

"Right."

I'm just past Quanos. At least we have to get to Nakute to get where the Orias are. Until then, I have flown as high as I can to avoid inadvertently appearing and frightening people. Even though the presence of Tenryu Hou has been made public, it does not mean that accurate information is being passed down to the small settlements.

Because of this, even if we go down to the ground, there is nothing around us, and Finn is forced into inconvenience.

Thinking it was time to take a bath, etc., Finn rode on Lena's back, back to looking like a dragon. And accidentally spill a bitter laugh.

It's too early to get used to luxury.

From my days in Nanais to getting to Winnea, it was a bath and other dream life. Fuel is all used to get through the night, boiling water and other outrageous stories. Just wash your hair and wipe your body as you tremble in cold water. Even though that was normal.

(Again, can you stand that life)

White wings wind and flutter up. Finn unconsciously looked north at his right hand and narrowed his eyes to the blurred mountains. Beyond that, darkness is spreading. Though I have my own determination to return to it... what about everyone? Would I not be disgusted with a life of incapacity? To what extent would Islev anticipate it?

You should think about it then.

Finn shook his head and looked back forward. Now, we need to focus on Nix and Oria's search.

"Lena, I need you to step down a little in front of Nakte. Let's walk into the city. I don't want to take care of it."

"Right. I don't like being surrounded by people either."

To an honest answer, Finn smiled small.
