Ashes and Kingdoms

6-3. Hometown Nanais

Finally, when the horizon appeared and the shadow of an artifact nodding at the edge of the land entered his sight, Finn became openly restless. Fauna turns a blind eye to Oandus and says with a bitter smile.

"Fine, go ahead. But be careful."

"Excuse me!"

I was just waiting for that word, and Finn raised one hand there apologizing as well. The white dragon spread its wings, and in an instant he was on Lena's back, flying.

The bea of sight grows. Under a bright, sunny sky, a sea plain glittering blue. The city of Nanais stretches out onto the high ground of Iso.

"………………"

Did it take a few breaths before I saw it with my eyes and understood it with my head?

Finn was stunned and stunned and tasted the feeling of falling off Lena's back. Everywhere, everywhere, he kept falling endlessly - but in fact, he was wagging and clinging to his wavy white hair.

The voice of Nellis, who was crying in the temple of Winnea, tree spirits behind his brain.

(... Eh... so far, I've come...,... for nothing, it was...)

The walls that surrounded the city collapsed for the most part, and the buildings were all out of shadows to see. Barely any trace of the street can be seen, but there are barbecued roof tiles and lacquered wall wreckages everywhere, and no foot treadmill.

(Nanais... burned... they're all dead)

Black coal burns everywhere, and only remains of burnt garden tree trunks and columns stand pounding like a twisted nightmare. The water table in the garden was cloudy with rotten muddy water and the public water supply in the square was buried beneath the rubble. Even though no one draws it, apparently there's still water out there. From the moss-covered edge, a slightly thin stream is telling off.

The appearance of the city I was used to living in was nowhere else.

The streets I played with Taz and my orphanage brothers, the bakeries and fishmongers I used to grab, and the toymaker's shop I went through many times in front of them with admiration. Even the barracks moistened by the masd were completely burned down.

When she swirled over the city and found that there was no place open enough, Lena unloaded Finn outside the city.

"I can't believe it's this bad"

Finn leaned over to Lena and crushed unconsciously. I don't feel my feet on the ground. He noticed that the spot was creeping out of his knees. Not much shock, no tears.

But as soon as she was touched by Lena's consciousness, a whimper spilled out of her throat.

"Ugh, ku..."

Eat up your back teeth to the point where they're about to break, killing your voice. Even if I wanted to cry out loud, I couldn't. Because I felt like if I was going to allow that, I'd have to cry until I lost my sanity.

Lena leans fluffy against the trembling and enduring fin. Warm light shoots into your heart and relieves your grief without forcing you to. The pity did not disappear, but the pain became dull and slight like a decision.

Soon Finn wiped his tears with the back of his hand and rose alive to himself. It was myself who decided to go back. That's to bring this city back to life, not to martyr its death. Even if it is good to grieve, the time has passed to serve mourning.

Shaking his head and changing his mood, he looked up at the broken walls.

Exhale deeply and slowly, and now, crush in your mouth. We have a big job ahead of us.

Where did you get your hands from? Finn glanced around and tilted his little neck at him.

The first step would be to secure drinking water. Nanais is a seaside city, so well water is really not of good quality. Fortunately, the water supply is alive, but it was too dangerous to rely on it alone. From what I have seen, there has been no significant change in the surrounding terrain, but I do not know when or where the water conduits in the earth will be damaged. Once it's broken, there's no material or technology to repair it.

"The water supply and the well… and then the temporary residence of the seat, I guess"

After counting the fingerfolds, Finn shook his head, man. I have no idea what to do or what the specifics are without asking Plast. I had no choice because I had no knowledge or skill in civil architecture, but I was a little impudent.

"Lena, let's go see the ocean by the time everyone gets here."

I can't help but stand blurry. Finn invited Lena to walk out the trail leading to the coast. Lena becomes a person, too, and follows her on a small run.

Beyond the windscreen trees and earthworks, the same sandy beaches were spread as before. It is not that wide, and both left and right have become rock-filled islands, leading to cliffs. On the right hand side, or east, there was a windmill, and on the left-hand side of the city a temple was built. At least, a year ago.

Finn tried not to look up at both cliffs and looked over at the sea plains. This is the same as before. Peaceful spring sea. The waves also wash the beach quietly and loosely. Repeated, sounds familiar to the ear.

"I've seen the ocean in Comris, but I prefer this one"

Lena said, peeking into Finn's face and sneering.

"Same color as Finn's eyes. So pretty."

…………

Cheers, and Finn peeled. I was going to cough it up, but I failed.

"Look at the ocean, not me. Because it's prettier that way."

"?? Finn's pretty, too, huh?

"... yeah, I get it. But I don't want you to see too much right now."

It is not a pleasure to be seen seriously in the face after crying. But Lena didn't seem to understand that sentiment, and as usual, she stared at him, causing her eyes to open.

If this happens, I'll have to run away.

Finn looked away deliberately, and as he simply walked to the wave strike, he bent down and pressed his fingertips against the sand. The shape of the finger is washed and faded by the next wave, which disappears completely.

When Lena arrived by her side, she knelt down a bit and started playing the same. Draw a pattern on the sand, it is erased, and draw again, repeat. Finn stood still during that time, tracing every nostalgic memory.

Eventually Lena raised her face and looked at the horizon.

"I've always wanted to see this view. It was in Finn's heart, the sea of Nanais"

Stand up and pay the sand on your fingers. Then she smiled full of pure joy without any shards of worry.

"Glad to finally be seen with you"

"... yeah. Me, too."

Finn finally smiled. I didn't force myself to make it, but a very naturally floating grin.

I'm surprised that I laughed like that when I said I had just been badly shocked the other day. But the feeling didn't last long, either, watching Lena.

(yes, it starts again here)

A new life - with Lena and her family and a life of company.

He was hugging Lena very naturally, fluttering, feeling the light of hope sign in his chest.

Finn anticipated that his family would still be shocked, and was going to sneak up on Plast and the rebuilding procedures before he got back on his feet.

but his attitude is such that his parents can't be relieved to pee either. I was just a little surprised and moaned. All I had to do was suppress my emotions and force myself to make a smile and show it.

"What, you just have to rebuild the city and the temple. Now you can choose wherever you want."

Finn turns a worrying eye to Oandus, who strains white. I got my nose stuck as soon as I could.

"What's that face? Don't worry about my son."

"But, uncle"

"I'm not saying I'm not sad. I might sneak in the middle of the night and cry alone. Even if you find the crime scene, pretend you don't know it."

Oandus laughed bitterly when it came to his father's tickets. And then I'll let Finn's nose go, and then I'll wipe the tear marks off his cheeks. He nodded small as relieved when he stared at Finn with a painful grin without saying anything. Finn also lowered his eyes in silence, pulling his jaw a little. There were no words, but somehow I felt like I understood my father's mood.

"Okay."

When Oandus slapped Finn hard on his shoulder, he turned his painful expression away and turned back to Plast.

"Was it the tap first? You just have to get rid of the rubble."

"Oh. That would be fine for the moment"

Then look for wells that aren't buried......

That and the men consulted, and at some point just outside that circle, Nellis was coming. I'm just asking without pinching my mouth, but there are still pompous tears spilling out of both of those eyes. I noticed, Mac said in a panic.

"Nellis! Don't push me, stay with your aunt."

"If she's a mother, she's gone to collect firewood."

The voice answering shivered a little, but the tone was firm.

"Never mind about me. I want to know what the plan is."

"But..."

"I hope you don't mind. I just can't stop crying, I'm fine now!

You won't be fine. That. And, if you want to go in, you can't go in, and the men face each other in trouble. Nellis sighed in a fed up flair and looked up at Finn as she challenged him.

"I told you before. It's only a matter of putting up with one brother. Let's get this over with."

"... okay," surrendered Finn, raising his hands. "You will lose. But, you know, whenever you want something, you can always tell Lena."

It was advice to step on it that it would not try to be sweet to other humans, but the advice, Nellis honestly nodded to this as well.

All we had to do was meet up and rescue the water supply in the square and the day went down. Luckily it did not rain, but that night, when the moon was still thin with many clouds, the blue light rumbled like a fluorescent outside the city.

"Stay away from me."

Ewallace on the lookout with Finn crushes in wonder. Between the two of them, the burning torch that almost went out is just blinking. I thought it would be better not to draw the attention of the beasts.

"I guess you haven't noticed that humans are back here yet"

Finn answered as he followed with his eyes the blue light hiding between the rubble and the abandoned house. Now that I'm covering up Lena's light, I can feel the darkness looming just that far, but there's no revenge resentment like it once was. There seems to be some chilling hostility left, but I'm guessing he's totally meant to get rid of humans.

"Oh, and if you're just far away, you don't even look pretty."

When Finn snapped casually, Ewallace moaned and shivered beside him.

"I'm still scared. When you were on duty the other day, you mistook the star near the horizon for their eyes."

"If you come near me, I'm scared, too."

Finn responded with a bitter smile. No matter how much you try to keep your normal mind, your once carved fear is hard to erase. It reminds me of that dry, chilling sound, sneaking cold air, the first night I was on duty undeniably when I touched them.

In an attempt to change the subject, Finn asked pretending to recall.

"With that said, why did you and Eugenis come to Nanais? I thought you had a house in Winnea."

"Hmm? Uh... no, the house was... gone"

Rarely mouthed, Ewohles dropped his gaze. Tighten with twigs and let the firepowder climb to a puff. Faster than Finn pinched his mouth, he scratched his head a bit and continued in a mild tone.

"Look, we didn't mean it like that, but you're on the run. No, it's not your fault, so I hope I don't have to apologize. My neighbor said my parents thought we were both dead, so they went to get a tournament pay for the survivors. But I still had Dilgius back then... even the parents of the deserters were decided, and yeah well, it seems true, so there's no law that I can slap him.

So my parents ended up in the tomb we built for us. Well, it didn't go to waste. "

That's it, he looked back at Finn and smashed his shoulder roughly.

"So I'm telling you it's not your fault. I wonder why it's so serious. If you don't live a little more lightly, you can't have it on a girl."

"It doesn't even look like you have it."

Finn said back with a true face, and smiled bitterly with his head put on.

"Thank God you guys came. But don't let Nellis know how many girls there aren't in Nanice right now."

"I won't let you out, you're just a kid. We decided to follow the Dragon Marquis. I'll put up with it without a girl for the moment. Patience here, sooner or later, when Nanais rebuilds, we must be like celebrities and heroes, right? Definitely very popular with girls."

Ewarez laughs, laughing. Finn responded sarcastically, "I don't know," but the fruit was that he could tell that his opponent was not as lowly as his mouth. What surrounds Ewallace is the bright, light colour. It is not cloudy with greed or intention.

(Girl wants to thank you for something if she can afford life anyway)

Looking at the blue light, Finn was blurry thinking about that.
