Ashes and Kingdoms

2-3. New Auditor Attack

I wonder if it can be fulfilled, as foretold, the new Northern Auditor, Simulus, hoisted his eyebrows and struck with a raging light in his eyes. From what I've seen, he's probably still in his thirties, but his forehead is already starting to recede. It was stained with Zhu until its widened forehead.

"Oh my god! I didn't know that after three years we still had to work on rebuilding the walls, even though the safety of our citizens should be paramount!!

Simulus greeted and cut out there, outraged. Finn responded with as much serenity as he could while recommending cold water and grapes to his opponent.

"As I said, we don't have the manpower, the materials, or the financial resources to just build the walls. Even if we don't rebuild until we owe money, as Lord Simulus has seen, the city is perfectly safe."

"Now that might be a good time, but it's not a good problem to leave it alone forever because of financial difficulties! I would say that Nanais is an autonomous city, but if the safety of trading merchants entering and leaving cannot be preserved, we must reconsider that right."

"We're doing everything we can. Transportation by boat has become almost as safe as before. The streets, too, are fine up to the nearby farmland. That said, I believe that we should consider the walls of the castle by the Parliament sooner or later"

When Finn conceded, Simulus just sounded his nose as natural. Then he looked around at the indoor faces with frustrating eyes and set his gaze on Oandus.

"We're talking about the city council chairman being the adoptive father of Lord Longhou Phineas, but of course he must have been elected by fair election?

Huh? - And it was a miracle that the shuddering voice didn't spill. Although everyone enjoyed it just before, the swallowed voice, however, became a silent sign, conveying more eloquently the same emotions. Simulus darkens the color of his anger and tiptoes the table with his index fingernails.

"I'm asking you why you are so confused by the rebuilding process that you can't monopolize your position on the grounds that you are a relative of Dragon Hou. What do you say, Chancellor?"

"... When I took the chair, Nanais didn't even have enough people to hold elections. Everyone worked for nothing."

"Three years as it is. Isn't it time for your term to expire?"

"You're right," Oandus replied roaring. "Elections will have to be held soon for all City Council positions."

In a challenging tone, Simulus was also stirred up against him, apparently. I stood up with my back fully extended, good or not, and raised my voice.

"Nanais is only an autonomous city in the empire. It is not the territory of the Tenryu Hou, nor is it a family-run farm ruled by its clan. As I remind my liver that if democratic politics is not carried out in accordance with the laws of the Empire, it is, in other words, treason against the Empire!

I didn't hear back. I was just frightened and didn't have a voice, but Finn was grumpy and rushed to fix his expression. I wish I looked impressed at best.

Simulus was staring at Finn with a waxy odor, but apparently decided he needed to threaten him a little more, so he kept going as he slowly went back with his body on.

"I hear his predecessor, Senator Islev, poured a considerable amount of private property into this nanice on the grounds that he was from the North himself. But for now, this is not your private property. I will not tolerate the same public or private confusion or abuse of authority as before when I assumed office. I need you to put a bullet on me!

To his snotty speech, Finn did not know how to respond, and vaguely affirmed, "Of course." Needless to say, I'm not going to be committing any public or private confusion or abuse of authority, but it would be useless to argue that way.

(You've got a troublemaker...)

As if he could hear his inner sigh, Simulus also stared at Finn slightly.

The next few days were really tiring. Simulus looked around the city in every corner, stuck his neck in every thing, complained, scolded, condemned, and recommended correcting - in short, he just got in the way of his job.

Neither is the fin that holds the offering. At first, I managed to persuade him well to understand the current situation, but he threw a spoon, just like Winnea's face.

Oandus, as well as the Tenryu squad twins and walts obsessed with obfuscation, gathered and pounced indignation at each other after the night pushed Simulus into the city hall room. You don't know anything about that arrogant attitude, wearing the authority of your country.

Finn didn't go along with it, he was just being patient for a few days.

"Your brother's not angry?

Nellis, who was even spoken out to the way the temple's things were laid down, is also Okamura. My brother seems to be welcoming me to the auditor, he's kind of swelling up and asking.

"Of course, I'm sick of it," Finn replied with a bitter smile. "But seriously angry is also ridiculous. If that auditor is really thinking of holding us back from national authority or managing Nanais like that, he should be angry... but he's not."

If I saw any such signs, I was going to be resolute, even if my relationship with the country was not good. But no matter how much you stare into the dragon's eyes, all you can read from Simulus is a terribly thin color. Contrary to being spooky, there is no strong willingness or willingness, and unreliable colors that seem to easily fog out if the wind blows are just leaping busily imitating the flames.

As a result of those observations, Finn reached one conclusion about Simulus.

"I guess he's just gonna be working on his own"

Eh. It was a groan as we showed each other, and Finn laughed. Nellis, who has voiced the same as the men, says with a few bad faces.

"If that's what your brother says, I guess it's just depressing and you're not a bad guy. But that's why I can tolerate it."

"I don't even get enough outrage to put up with it, but I get tired anyway"

Finn flaunted his shoulder. There, Finn also spilled a laugh as Lena gave her a gentle hug to flutter and comfort her. The twins raise their voices half naughty and half teasing at the looks of those two.

"Uh, Dragon Marquis is fine. My sweet princess can comfort me."

"We want you to heal our rough hearts, too."

"Don't choose forever, you just have to get married soon"

It is, of course, Plast who pointed it out softly. The twins all tanned, and after arguing individually against each other, they looked at each other like they were planning something. but by then, Finn had already distracted himself from the two of them and missed out on ominous signs because he was stroking Lena's hair.

The day after that, even though it was finally the step of returning to Winnea, Simulus had no trouble finding her. Finn is already tired and thinks of something else in the sky above, appropriately dealing with him without fail.

(Lord Islev poured in his personal belongings, he said, but when, where did he put so much personal expenses? First, when I replenished the personnel and supplies of the Tenryu Squad at Comris and... and then I thought it was about the empty cloth in the example)

And I don't care if it's a good amount of forehead, but it's not like I'm wary that you're going to privatize Nanais.

(No way, the grants sent by my home country for the last three years?

Wasn't that part, or almost the whole amount, out of Islev's nostalgia? Though I did think the emperor was a little too generous.

(I need to make sure)

He wouldn't want it to be an amount he could repay from what he found out, and he wouldn't want to build a bronze statue of Islev in the square. If you were going to do that, you would have made it clear from the beginning that you would build a statue of yourself because you would give this much forehead, or embed a gold plate with your name engraved on the walls of the city hall. Because that's a natural right, and it's a natural thing to do in my own country.

Satisfied that Simulus had accomplished his job, Finn still thought of it while he joined the legions of escorts in the square. Because of that, he didn't even care about the disturbing appearance of the Tenryu Squad that showed up to drop him off.

Hiccups and someone are whispering. Meaningful eye-opener, a push-kill laugh.

Welcome home, I haven't even seen a dragon, for Christ's sake... Finn turned back to me and looked up when a slice of such a word reached his ear. Simulus also finds that something he doesn't know is being planned, and looks around at him with his face. The face of the Tenryu Squad took an upright immobilized stance in white.

(What are you going to do? Give me a break)

Finn stared at each and every one of them to restrain them, but no one tries to keep an eye on them. Mac didn't see if it was hidden behind the rest of the crew.

Surrounded by laughter, Simulus stared at them suspiciously with a rugged face and then turned to Finn, leaning back and looking again from top to bottom.

"Lord Simulus? Something..."

Simulus coughed up his anxiety as Finn wandered.

"Not now...... you, are you a real dragon marquis?

"What?"

"I've never seen a dragon in my head. In an effort to escape the auditor's attention, the real Dragon Horsemen, covering up what is not good to be seen around town, putting the right young people on their behalf, and not fooling me!

She said it herself and was angry, and a finger poking at her numb fin is shaking. Finn got stuck with the unexpected stuffing.

(i) Put it between breaths,

"- Buh, haha! I really said it!

"Wahaha! You don't have Dragon Horse Piercing!

The face of the drop off made me laugh more and more. The heads are the twins and Valt. He's not only laughing at the Tenryu squad, but even the general public.

Simulus turned his face bright red and shifted his gaze towards them. Finn's eyes could see the flames of anger burning from his feet and instantly wrapping his whole body around him.

"Shut up!!

I yelled, but Finn was faster.

He didn't think he'd get mad. The mastermind-like twins, as well as other faces, swallow laughter in an instant and quiet back down. Even Simulus looked back with a face of surprise, forgetting his anger.

"Treating me as a blue-grown man is unsolicited, but denigrating me in front of an auditor is too much of a joke! If you are unhappy with this dragon marquis, find another dragon marquis!!

The relentless severity of the burning desert sun seemed to overthrow everyone on the field. Lena didn't show up, but the flame rises behind Finn, spreading huge wings to intimidate the humans. Some of them fell on their knees early on.

A frightened horse runs wild trying to escape through the reins. Have pity on that grubby, Finn gently shook his head and erased the wings of the Yangtze.

As soon as possible, the heavy pressure seemed to have disappeared all the time. Everyone breathes in relief.

Finn bowed his head to Simulus, with a harsh look on his face.

"At the end of the day, I beg your pardon for your ugly demeanor. I don't mean to offend Lord Simulus."

"Ah... um, no, this is the one I'm very sorry for being rude to you"

Simulus answered ambiguously Momoku and became a man on horseback with a sogginess and farewell greeting. Corps soldiers of escorts also salute Finn in awe and follow Simulus.

Before the last one circled the horse's head, Finn returned to his usual expression and waved small with an apology in his face. The legion soldier glances lightly, then laughs bitterly and nods. Finn relaxed and dropped off that back. Now Simulus, anyway, there will be no strange rumors among the legion soldiers.

Since a row of auditors turned smaller across the street, a fearful crack of twins has spoken up.

"Uh... Master Phineas?

"Don't punish me, you too."

Finn looked back on the tannic side and peeled his blonde head.

"Don't make me imitate tyrants for boring things. We almost had an auditor explode."

People who were nervous also appease and come around because he looks the same as usual. The twins looked at each other and then muttered, "Sorry!," he apologized.

"No, because you said the auditor wasn't dangerous just because he was depressed."

"I was just trying to make fun of you."

"Shut up, I really believe you're Dragon Marquis."

"It's kind of you not to be too careful. Goodwill, goodwill."

Pepper and the next excuse comes up. Finn got spooked.

"You know... if I did it that way, I'd think they made fun of me. It's because I'm not a dangerous person, and that's what goes into action as soon as I get angry. If I hadn't yelled at him first, he'd have yelled at everyone if he hadn't. Even if you manage to deceive me, I may be able to withhold a grant from my own country in Winnea in return for being insulted. Please, be careful what you imitate."

"The smaller the item, the more cumbersome it will be later."

Plast gave me a cold gaze, while giving me a supplementary explanation with no body or lid. The twins nod softly, I'm sorry. I won't do it anymore, etc., and apologize childish.

And, rarely did Lena show up with an angry face. In a hurry, the twins bow their heads here as well. Lena was benevolent with her hands on her hips, but when the apology and excuse came to a paragraph, she said clearly in a very serious, harsh voice.

"Both of you, don't bully Finn!

………………

Ah, the pain, and the fin of the moment covers his face.

After some whitening, the square was engulfed with a boiling laugh. This time the laughter is full of bright kindness with no mockery or superiority. Flushed by that pleasure, the figure of a strict and fearful dragon marquis disappeared from people's memories.
