Ashes and Kingdoms

3-4. Runners

Flying toward the nearest group, Finn was aware of the dragon's eyes and found out what was happening to his opponent.

To deduce from the miscellaneous emotions and thoughts you hear, apparently, it is the former legion soldiers who have power in this group, and there, the men who were residents of that village, who are joining them as lower-ranking soldiers. Some people still seem to care about the village, slightly, but I could see that they were giving it a thought.

That's a ridiculous territorial fight, not at all.

Finn roars with anger. Lena just responded strangely.

Why don't we protect our village? You can't eat those people just fighting, can you?

Because it is not an army, food will not be provided, and there will be no productivity, such as groups gathered to hide and live in battle only. If you continue to exploit from a finely surviving village, there will be nothing you can take away sooner or later, even though you will only fall together.

Lena's questions were the best, but Finn was not easily answered and silenced. Think about it for a while and say something, snap at it.

I guess I don't like living properly anymore.

Whether you plow fields or raise livestock, they are taken away by violence from the outside. Something that can be stomped on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on.

If you want to fight against it, it's hard to keep a stick or a stick in your hand. If you go halfway against it, you'll just see worse. In order to do it, you have to smash them completely. Until then, I'm not farming in one hassle. - But if we don't take it from somewhere again, we can't cover our daily food.

(as long as the Legion works)

Finn thought of nothing and bit his lip.

The Imperial Corps soldiers were not just warriors. Normally, civil engineering works were carried out and security was maintained around the city to prepare the environment for life so that the citizens of the Empire could sneer at agriculture and pastoralism and commerce without any worries.

Most of all, Finn and I realized that it was only after the discipline of the Legion was actually disturbed, the reign of the Empire was no longer good, and everything started to melt and collapse.

- But.

(That's no excuse)

As Finn tightened his expression, he glanced at the woods approaching under his eyes.

Now I didn't have to worry about surprises. Rather, in order to poke and confuse the unexpected, he dares to descend into the middle of the group, as a falcon.

On the targeted ground, the leaders and executives of the armed groups were just gathering to eat and drink.

Suddenly a gust of wind broke out and the ashes of the fire rose, and behold, a huge white mass clashed against the earth. The pan and people flip, and the screams of the men and the sounds of horses and chickens echo eagerly.

When the mayhem had subsided, the white mass had vanished and one young man had stepped on his fallen head and put a sword to its throat.

"Drop your weapons!

A harsh voice commanded, but no one was in possession of a weapon at this point in the first place. Everyone is losing their temper and staring at the unexpected sight. No one tries to reach for swords or spears. It's just pompous to see what happened and fulfill this is real.

In that gap, Finn went on to say.

"Now, on this occasion, your fight is over. Drop your weapons and return to where each of you has escaped! Go back to your wounded family, plow the ruined fields again and rebuild the village!

and his head beneath Finn's feet.

"You're kidding me, kid, what the hell!

Finn gives me a chilling glance and lets me slide the tip of my sword under my hidden jaw with my mustache. As soon as he did, the man stopped moving perfectly.

"I don't care who I am. Didn't I?"

…………

The man peeled his eyes in anger, but saw his life spared, and he did not argue. Finn glanced around at the men surrounding the field, holding his sword without alarm. The emotions of the former villagers drift thinly, which I was exploring beforehand. Somewhere appeased, like thanking the excuse to end it literally came down and gushed.

Finn nodded towards them.

"Go back to the village. Everyone left is hurt and tired, hungry. We need your help."

That being said, of course, nobody can move in this situation where the executives are still blinding their eyes. Finn quickly glanced at you as he noticed the man peering into his gap.

Do you want to die first?

The voice I said was emotionless, more like a confirmation than a threat. The man had already laid his hand on the sword, but for a glimmer. But no matter how incomprehensible you say you are, there is only one opponent, and that's just a young creation. Even though I thought I could take it down, I deserved it.

"Fuck you!!

He pulls out his sword with a curse, and one is slashed. As the curse was broken, a few followed it. The head being stepped on is also a good opportunity to focus on the body.

But the reading was sweet.

Finn stepped on his head firmly, halfway through the first blow and hit the raider's throat with his left hand. Guru, he leaks his cuckoo voice, and a man falls down behind him. In a gap where the follow-up was interrupted by the wounded, Finn sank the man who had been slashed from the other side into the ground with a quick poke.

One or two more. In an instant, corpses pile up around Finn. The stone slammed the attacker and unraveled the enclosure and lowered it for a moment.

Finn said the sword wet in blood again, chilled against his head throat.

"If you order, I wonder if anyone will die in vain. Or would it be quick to kill you?"

"Son of a bitch, you're kidding..."

"I'm serious."

"Ugh! Yeah, kill him, kill him, whatever you want. I'll tell you what, if you crush us, survival will just go away again. The hipsters fled into the village, and I'll attack them again soon. Take it, offend it, set it on fire. Heh."

He laughed, leaking a disdainful voice. When Finn was unanswered, he turned to a look of rage and anger, peeling his eyes and calling.

"I don't have to be dressed like one!

(If there's anything I can do, this didn't happen)

Humiliation and regret seep into your voice. It was in Finn's eyes that the memory of the day many years ago, when everything had changed, was tying the man.

An army that doesn't receive supplies, doesn't issue eviction orders, and gets rough every day being left behind in the province. A boss who relinquishes his duties, embezzlement and assault became routine, and the collapse did not stop, as he stopped, but fled to defend himself...

"Don't use bad luck as an excuse for a good adult"

Finn roared low. The man's face stained red and black, but he looked down at it and said relentlessly.

"Do you think you're the only one deprived of your job or residence by the Dark Beast? Nanaith's barracks were abandoned by his own country, and they seemed terrible. Still, they didn't escape. The way we did it was never right or splendid, but we didn't give up until the end as we secured food for ourselves and our citizens and kept them safe!

I didn't know, I was roughing up my voice. Finn himself, he didn't realize he had this feeling about the Legion soldiers of Masud and Nanais. I was brutally struck, and there were many things to be ashamed of in the soldiers' deeds. I haven't forgotten. But surely now Finn was outraged at the different ends of the same legion soldiers at the same time as he boasted of them.

"Like you, I forgot the purpose of protecting the weak, fighting only to fight, mistaking enemies, I did not imitate that. It's not just the legions, it's powerless. Even the citizens left on their own, waiting for help from the Dark Beast."

Finn was also just a powderer's son back then. Exactly no power, no experience, no special weapons, only a strong will to rely on - in a situation like that, Oandus, Fauna and Nellis told me they were coming with us. To protect Finn, my family, to call on Nanais for help.

"If you're ashamed, don't reopen it yet"

To the sternly uttered fin, the man jumped the fin with full force as he dazzled his hateful eyes.

On the bright side, Finn jumps out on his own and quickly regains his position.

A moment later, Ferrendaine drew a white trajectory and flew the man's neck out of his torso.

Breathtaking sound. Then, the throat and neck fall, and the body that remained in the position it tried to strike falls.

There was a heavy silence. Everyone stares at his neck as it rolls. Finally, everyone seemed to really realize that being here wasn't a young creation as it seemed. No matter how many skilled warriors you are, it's not something you can do, such as jump a big man's neck with one swing of your right arm.

Of course, this is not Finn's own power, but the business of the formation of the Divine Sword Fairendain, but it is not so far as the rest of us know. The man who attacked Finn earlier shrugged in fright and took off his sword.

Finn turned around and said quietly.

"Don't take any more weapons. If you don't have a place to go back, you can drop yourself in the west village or come to Nanais."

"... you, the hell..."

A blue-eyed man asks, trembling. Finn nearly opened his mouth, but eventually shook his head in silence.

I wasn't in the mood to say who I was. Tell me, I see. I didn't want to be mistaken for being special because I'm a dragon marquis. I didn't want them to reopen because they were special enough to throw up a righteous dialogue, and it was only natural that we, the normal people, couldn't do that.

(Even I was just a duster's son. He was a very normal citizen, just like most of us here. I still feel the same way)

Finn turned around the former villagers, softening his expression and urging him.

"Come on, back to the village. Apparently there are some livestock here, so if you take them home, they'll add to your life. Let's take everything we can use. Food, as well as pots and plates."

Saying, he himself goes to pick up the pan that he first flipped over and rolled away. Pick up a spoon or a jar and catch the escaped chicken.

The men, who were confused at first, also seemed to finally get a sense of reality with it, and they quickly got ready to go home. Their relief and anxiety come like waves. I can go home, but what's going on in the field, my wife, my child, will you welcome yourself...

In addition to those moves, some people disappeared sneaky. Finn had noticed, but he didn't stop. Neighborhood groups are going to crush it soon after this anyway, and if they're gone altogether, the men who lost their way will be ready. Do you want to lean over to some town or village or hide livestock in the wilderness?

(Hopefully less trouble)

Finn looked at the men he had defeated and thought about it. I killed some of them without hesitation, but I didn't take the rest until my life. You'll wake up groaning soon. Unless, of course, you have an injury and will endure the care of the people who have been inferior until today.

(That's tougher after all)

Oh, boy. Finn continued to help pack, already tired.
