Ashes and Kingdoms

7-5. Examining Hope

Hunger began to swallow everything.

I want power, the people of the Imperial Capital hate me, I want to get the throne... the hunger that was directed and united by that obsession, I lose my shackles and eat what I touch as soon as I allowances or whatever.

Run!

Whose voice, not while I'm conscious. The dragon and the dragon marquis shake off the tenacious hand of famine and do their utmost to shine. The mesh of the junction loosened, as it had waited. I dived through that gap, right after.

Mecco......

The space is heavily snagged and deflected.

It doesn't actually sound like it, but it feels like it.

Becon, Bocco, Mech...

With so much tremendous momentum, hunger devours, rinses and swallows all things. Whether it's yourself or not, it's as if you're uncomfortable.

Mississippi, hunger itself crumbles. The earth of the royal capital was shaken, decided, and crushed.

And then there was - nothing, nothing left.

"Ugh..."

When the spilled groan was my voice, I couldn't tell right away. Finn tries to force his heavy eyelids open and move them with force at his fingertips.

"Finn?"

I heard you sound worried. Warm light can be seen over the lid. Light circles the body on a stream of blood and lights a small fire from the edge of the touch. The feeling is as if life were being breathed into a doll made of cold clay,

"Maybe I... was dead?

With an unpleasant imagination, Finn slowly opened his eyes.

"Well, that's what it is"

It was blue fog that affirmed what was more scary to me. Finn looks up at him in resentment and cursorily wakes himself up. Lena supported me with her hands.

Somehow looking to the side, Elecia held her head in the same half-dead state. She noticed Finn's gaze or looked up and turned around and sighed deeply without this.

"I'm tired..."

"It looks like he's been dead for a while."

The flaming head shakes "not about the body". "Oh no... I can't believe I have to hang out with those memories and justify all those twisted man emotions one way or another... unless it's in this situation"

"Are you about to kick me in the back and abandon me for messing with you on your own"

When Finn smiled bitterly, he conveyed signs of Genshas laughing.

You seem to know about my partner.

"Chas, I'm really gonna fill my mouth with salt and stitch it together."

Well, you're right.

A flaming dragon turns away, leaving signs of flailing shoulders. He seems to be glad that he hasn't been rammed as a dragon in a long time, and he's doing well as opposed to Elecia, who is slacking. Finn spilled a small laugh and stretched out. It's still a little heavy, but it's almost going to work.

"Finn...... are you okay now?

Lena says goodbye. It's hard to believe it's that rough dragon, too, to look at it with your own eyes when you're sitting a little upright on the moss. Finn reached out and stroked his soft cheeks, which were glowing.

"Thanks to you, I'm perfectly recovered. Are you okay?"

Lena snorted a nod as she put her own hand on Finn's hand. And smile happily, cheeks in Finn's hand.

…………

Finn blushed at the boulder, but Lena's fine. As I snuggled up to Finn, I held him in innocence flutter.

"Speaking of which," the blue mist pinches his mouth with a laughing flair. "You guys were married. I forgot."

"Uh, no, you know"

Finn is in a hurry to figure out what he answered and runs about things that don't make sense. Elecia stared at him in surprise.

"Marriage? No way, with that dragon?

"Ah......, yes"

I can't say no. Finn answers with a twilight face on the way, stuck to Lena. Elesia was surprised, then shuddered, and at the end she shook her head and sighed. There are no words. I just can't help but want it.

Lena, you know, a little...

Now I hesitate to talk to you, wondering if you could give me a break. And, without waiting for it, Lena let herself go and sat back down. Finn told me, so I don't think so. And when Finn looked into his eyes, Lena grinned, and said, well.

"Look. Dear Gift of Deia"

What I pointed to was the sword Finn kept on wearing.

……

Fit in, Finn looked down at his hips in surprise. I don't see any additions or anything unusual. Still, as Lena waited, he removed Ferrendaine from his sword belt.

"What is this......, eh!

The moment I was about to say it, intense power poured into my sword through my hands.

A flashing sword waved in his consciousness pulsating in his arms and moving from the palm of to the sword of matter. The glare (eyelid) overwhelmed Finn with severe pain.

- Kisha, my name is Ga.

A harsh consciousness is conveyed. Wordless, but clear will. Remember, this is the sword given by God, and it is never your own power.

One name is inscribed as a brand in the bond that connects man to dragon.

"... Dia... ion"

At the same time Finn recognized, the dazzling light faded away. Immediately afterwards, the sword in his hand becomes heavy. Finn blinked a few times trying to make his head clear, then looked down at the fearful sword.

Already, the familiar white sword had no shadow or shape.

A few golden strips of light run through the sunny weather in the middle of summer, or into the deep, clear, herd-blue sheath like the sky of dawn. The pattern was white, but not the calm, serene white of the past, with a brilliance reminiscent of the midwinter sunshine.

Often without words, Finn had just noticed. I've never been dissatisfied with Phalendyne or any other fine dust before, but this is completely out of digit. No matter how powerful the special armor is, it is not to the extent that it has been tamed with using borrowings.

From the beginning, for Tenryu Hou and Tenryu, the god Deia gave it to me.

That's why it weighed more than mass. If you simply become a dragon marquis, you can only bond with the dragon. Of course, "just" is enough, it matters to the human body. But if God recognized the bond and gave us what we needed...

(Wow... I'm in a hell of a position right now, aren't I?

Too much, I can't think of an idea to try and pull out a sword, or hang it in a sword belt. I just grate to see what I can do with both hands.

But Lena laughed lightly at Finn.

Why? Originally, we were all like children of God. So is Finn. Now that you're with me, you're a little bit more than the rest of us... well, you know, the older day, I guess, I got in that position.]

…………

Well, if you look at it from a dragon, God isn't that far away, and I guess you're right by reason, but humans are way below where the dragon is, so what if they pull it up so high?

Finn realized once again how tiny he was, and now he thinks even more about how I really am Dragon Hou, etc.

But in doing so, the feeling of the new sword was quickly familiar to his hands, and his overwhelming presence was whispering. Finn breathed relieved, and it was time to bring it back. I don't feel too scared anymore. Instead, I found out that the sword was looking for him.

"Diaion"

Calling his name small, he grips the pattern. It seems to suck. But I didn't feel like pulling it out here, and Finn stumbled on it, replacing Ferrendaine.

"You got a good one. Use it wisely."

Blue fog blesses. Words were short, but out of words, suggesting a meaning to accompany the gift.

Daia's sword is not just a weapon. Other dragon martial arts are also available. It is only when used according to the will of its maker God that it exerts its original power. In other words, the gift of the gods is also an order to live according to the divine will.

"Yes."

Finn also responded briefly and nodded.

When I touched my hand gently from the top of my sheath, there was a slight singing response. Before you listen to it, just for a moment,

(Oh, you've come a long way)

I can't go home anymore - that thought shook my chest. But it was, really, just for a second.

The examination of hope fills my heart. Finn had surrendered himself in silence, closing his eyes in the bright light that poured down.
