Chapter 541 - 571: Congratulations to You
Qin Jiao gave a faint smile. "We’ll see. But congratulations."
"Thank you."
The two finally went their separate ways. Qin Jiao’s expression remained unchanged as she thought about her afternoon classes. But as Lin Nian watched her walk away, a smug smile spread across her face.
Qin Jiao wasn’t surprised by Lin Nian’s smugness. In fact, she sincerely hoped the two of them would stay together.
’As for Sun Lili, her personality isn’t the greatest, but she’s not a bad person at heart. I just hope Shen Feng doesn’t completely wreck her. She’ll definitely be heartbroken for a while, but he’s just one guy. With time, she’ll slowly get over it.’
That’s what Qin Jiao was thinking. But when she got back to campus, she was shocked to hear that Sun Lili had attempted suicide and been taken to the campus hospital by some of her close friends.
She hadn’t succeeded, but she had cut her wrist.
Qin Jiao ran right into the group. The moment Sun Lili saw Qin Jiao, her face crumpled and tears of grievance began to stream down her cheeks. She pushed through the others, came right up to Qin Jiao, and pleaded, "Qin Jiao, you’re close to Ah Feng. Can you go talk to him for me? Please, beg him, okay?"
Qin Jiao calmly asked, "Beg him for what?"
"Beg him not to break up with me... I don’t want to leave him..."
The cut on her wrist hadn’t been bandaged yet and was still bleeding. A student standing nearby shot Qin Jiao a meaningful look, silently urging her to get Sun Lili to the hospital to have it treated first.

Perhaps because Sun Lili knew that Qin Jiao was familiar with Shen Feng, she was more willing to talk to her.
She said through her tears, "But he’s so wonderful. I love him so, so much."
"What’s so wonderful about him?"

Qin Jiao pressed on. "If he’s so smart and such a good student, why couldn’t he even get into North City University?"
Sun Lili was speechless once again.
Before Sun Lili could struggle to find an excuse, Qin Jiao continued, "A good person? Heh. I’ve known him since we were classmates in high school, and I’ve never seen any evidence of that. If he were really a good person, he wouldn’t have gone to take his college entrance exams with a blank look on his face on the very day his first girlfriend had a miscarriage. If he were such a good person, he wouldn’t have been living with Lin Nian while he was dating you."
"As for his family? Surely you know about that, right? Shen Feng’s mother was the other woman. She successfully pushed out the original wife—oh, that’s right, my boyfriend Shen Yi’s mother—and took her place to become the current Mrs. Shen."
Sun Lili forgot to even cry.
She knew, of course, that Shen Feng’s parents were remarried, but she had no idea that was how it had happened.
