"Woof..." Yu Bao whimpered, still shaken as he blocked the AoE and glanced down.

’Bro, was that really so terrifying?’

"What the hell..." The spectating students were all dumbfounded.

In just ten seconds, Yu Bao had used four Skills in one go.

Not a single one was associated with a Yu Dian Farm Dog.

And what was that shield-like thing made of sand? It looked strangely familiar. ’It couldn’t be... a Flowing Shield, could it?’

’They said Yu Bao was an Earth-type dog, but does that mean he’s actually a duck??’

They glanced at the instructor... His back was still ramrod straight, perfectly calm. Perhaps in his eyes, even a ridiculously absurd Pet Beast like Yu Bao was nothing special.

The camera pans... and Ke Yan was indeed very calm. He even grinned smugly when he heard the gasps from the little brats behind him.

This move seemed to give Yu Bao the upper hand, but it was actually the opposite.

If Yu Bao had simply retreated, Cyan might not have been able to do anything to him. But Yu Bao got greedy, going for a counterattack with the Quicksand Shield, which gave Cyan an opportunity to organize its own assault.

There was little room for error in a battle between High Tier Pet Beasts, especially when their strengths were so closely matched. A single mistake could cost one the entire match.

Every last one of the spectating students was stupefied.

Ke Yan was still holding his cool pose with his arms crossed, but his expression had completely changed. His eyes were wide as saucers, his mouth was slightly agape, and a glistening trail of snot was trickling from his nostril.

Star Meteor Burst, a Middle Elite Skill of the Earth and Fire elements, was typically mastered by a type of Pet Beast from Interstellar Space known as a Meteor Beast.

’Hmm... Yu Bao is an Earth and Fire Dual Element, so it should be pretty reasonable for him to master this Skill...’

’Reasonable my ass!!!’

"Woof."

Amidst the nuclear-like shockwave, Yu Bao stood calmly with his back to the world. Wearing his signature sunglasses, he flashed a crooked smile.

’Real men don’t look at explosions.’

From the command position, Su Zhi cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted, "Yu Bao, watch out! He’s not done for yet!"

"Woof?" Yu Bao froze, turning back in confusion just in time to see vines shooting out from the smokescreen.

The smoke slowly cleared, revealing a pair of glowing green lights. The Huajing Cat’s pale green eyes were particularly piercing in the haze.

The instant the meteor hit, Cyan had mobilized all its vines for defense and rolled with the shockwave to disperse the force, minimizing the impact. Even so, it was still left covered in dust and grime.

’I did so well last month, and Wang Haokun finally agreed to get my fur professionally styled... It’s gone! It’s all gone!’

’That wretched Yu Bao! A dog might stand for this, but a cat will not!’

"Good chance! Cyan, use White Bulb Waltz!"

As Yu Bao dodged, more vines appeared, instantly surrounding him.

SHWISH SHWISH SHWISH SHWISH—

Tens of thousands of dandelions bloomed within the vine enclosure, instantly blanketing the arena in white. It looked like a snowscape, beautiful yet filled with murderous intent.

Another mushroom cloud slowly rose, its power and presence every bit as strong as the last one, if not stronger.

’That attack definitely had some emotion behind it...’ Wang Haokun thought, silently tucking his hands into his sleeves. The arena was shrouded in smoke, making it impossible to see anything.

Cyan froze. When the smoke cleared, Yu Bao was nowhere to be seen. There was only a broken pair of sunglasses.

"Meow?" Cyan looked up at the sky, bewildered.

’What’s going on?’

"Woof?" Yu Bao looked up at the sky with him.

’Yeah, what *is* going on?’

"!?" Cyan whipped its head around to meet the gaze of Yu Bao right beside it. All of its fur stood on end, and it leaped away.

’What happened? Why is Yu Bao behind me?’

’Didn’t my explosion send him flying?’

"Woof woof." Yu Bao casually walked toward Cyan as a few wisps of Suspended Sand danced around, lifting the sunglasses onto his face and setting them perfectly in place.

’It’s simple. You were fighting my clone the whole time.’

’You didn’t actually think that just because it wore sunglasses, it was the real me, did you?’

’No way, right? No way?’

"...Meow!" Cyan’s face twisted into a snarl.

’You despicable mutt!’

"Heh heh!" Yu Bao excitedly leaned his head in closer.

’He’s tilted! He’s tilted!’

’His personality is so similar to Brother Xiaoyue’s. This is so immersive! It’s just like I’m really bullying Brother Xiaoyue!’

Xiaoyue: "..."

’I have a weird feeling about the way that stupid mutt is looking at me... Whatever, it’s not important. I don’t care about him.’

"Calm down. Create some distance and keep pinning him down with Deep Forest Grip."

Although Cyan was furious, it still obeyed the command. Endless vines surged forth, tightly encircling Yu Bao.

Wang Haokun said calmly, "Your opponent seems to be good at control tactics, just like you. He’s also skilled at mobile warfare, which means his Strong Attack options should be relatively lacking. As long as you watch out for his clone attacks, there won’t be a prob—"

The shame was because Yu Bao had even gone easy on it. That attack could have easily been a direct hit. It might not have killed Cyan on the spot, but it certainly would have taken it out of the fight. And yet, Yu Bao had "accidentally" missed...

’You wretched mutt! Don’t you dare look down on a cat!’

’A miracle only happens once. It definitely won’t happen a second time!’

Amidst Cyan’s infuriated roar, a full-scale green assault began.

Deep Forest Grip was like the tentacles of a giant Sea Beast, radiating a powerful, oppressive aura.

The Flying Leaf Storm blotted out the sky, so dense it was impossible to dodge.

One after another, deadly dandelions exploded in succession, more spectacular than any firework show!

The tide of plants completely submerged Yu Bao’s figure. Cyan’s eyes reflected the unending explosions, and a trace of human-like smugness appeared on its feline face.

A minute later, the explosions stopped.

The arena fell silent.

The students craned their necks to see.

Seeing the arm of a pair of sunglasses fly out of the smoke, Cyan lifted its head triumphantly.

It whipped its head around. Yu Bao was sitting behind it, watching.

Not just behind it, but to its left as well. And its right...

"Woof!" Four Yu Baos simultaneously produced fireballs, dribbling them between their left and right paws as they leaned in close to Cyan.

’One more look and you’ll go BOOM!’

BANG—

Three of the Yu Baos exploded on the spot. Amidst the smoke, Cyan was blasted out of the arena, unable to get back up. Its fur was even messier, blacker, and more scorched than before.

As the entire crowd watched in dead silence, the remaining Yu Bao calmly walked back to Su Zhi’s side, turned its back to the world, and flashed a crooked smile.

’No dog knows Huajing Cats better than I do.’

Ke Yan stood there dumbfounded for a long moment. When he finally snapped out of it, he remembered to announce the results—

"Fifth round, singles match, Su Zhi is the victor. The simulation match is over. The winner is—Team Su Zhi!"
