Starting tomorrow, they would officially face the brutal competition of the city league qualifiers. Their goal was to charge into the finals and face Huai City First Middle School, the team that had defeated them last time.

"Let’s be generous and say each of their Pet Beasts gained three hundred points of Real-time Energy Value in a day. That’s still not enough to decide the outcome of a battle.

"The way I see it, the reason they’re only just getting back isn’t because they were doing some secret training; on the contrary, they were probably delayed. Remember? The Storm Fish Dragons launched a massive attack on the Storm Strait the day before yesterday. Even the instructors were deployed. They were likely stuck there for a day because of it and only dared to return after diplomatic relations were established. They’re lucky to have made it back in one piece; it’s basically impossible they made any improvements."

"That’s a more reasonable guess, but it never hurts to be prepared for the worst. Let’s just assume they really were training in secret and each Pet Beast gained three hundred Energy points."

Wang Haokun wrote quickly on the paper, then frowned again. "What concerns me more is that Liu Yuhang didn’t show up. If they really went to the Storm Strait, then Liu Yuhang and his Pet Beast would have been the main characters... We can’t rule out the possibility that they’ve noticed our surveillance and are deliberately hiding Liu Yuhang to use him as an unexpected trump card."

"They’re certainly playing their cards well... too bad their opponent is us!"

Chen Xinghao couldn’t help but let out a smug little chuckle.

Wang Haokun nodded and wrote quickly on the paper, "Fang Yuan and Cao Mingyu are strong, but we already have countermeasures, so facing them won’t be a big problem. Shao Ya’s Shadow of Ancient Jing has strong combat power with no obvious weaknesses. We don’t have a Pet Beast that can specifically counter it, so our main strategy will be to tie it down and wear it out.
