Chapter 464 - : 464 : Ivy’s New Dress and Morning Teasing!
It was a bright, peaceful morning in the grand mansion. Sunlight streamed through the tall windows of the living room, casting warm golden rays across the plush carpets and elegant furniture. Aiden was lounging comfortably on the large sofa, his head resting against the armrest, legs stretched out across the cushions. In his hands was a thick, leather-bound school book about magic theory — the kind with complicated runes and diagrams. His eyes moved slowly across the pages, completely absorbed.
The quiet was gently broken when someone approached him. Small, warm hands rested lightly on his thighs. Aiden didn’t look up right away, still focused on the book. A soft, shy voice spoke up.
"Onii-Chan... Princess Seraphina Onee-Chan gave me new dresses too. So... tell me... if I look good."
Aiden finally lifted his gaze from the book. Sitting up properly, he swung his legs down from the sofa and turned his full attention to the small figure in front of him.
It was little Ivy — his little goblin sister.
She stood there shyly, hands still resting on his lap as if giving him better access to look at her. Her long, silky black hair cascaded down her back and shoulders, held neatly in place by a cute white-and-black patterned headband with a zigzag design. Her large, expressive red eyes looked up at him with a mix of nervousness and hope. Her skin had a soft, healthy green hue that glowed faintly in the morning light. Pointy goblin ears twitched slightly, adorned with tiny golden earrings that swayed when she moved.
She was wearing one of the new outfits Seraphina had gifted her — a stylish black lace-trimmed camisole that hugged her petite frame, paired with a brown plaid mini skirt that had a high slit on one side. Over it was a cozy, oversized cream-colored knit cardigan that slipped off one shoulder, giving her a slightly messy but adorable look. Black thigh-high stockings with delicate garter straps and a small compass-shaped charm completed the outfit. She fidgeted in place, fingers lightly gripping the fabric of his pants, clearly waiting for his reaction.
Aiden let out a low whistle, his eyes scanning her from head to toe with an appreciative smile.
Ivy’s cheeks immediately turned a bright shade of red. She shifted her weight from one foot to the other, her long hair swaying gently.
"S-Soo...?"
Aiden chuckled softly. He reached out with one arm, wrapping it around her small waist and pulling her teasingly closer until her face was only inches from his. Ivy let out a cute little yelp.
"Onii-Chan...!!!"
"Kiddo... You look so beautiful that I wanna marry you," he said with a playful grin, his tone clearly teasing. He didn’t mean it seriously — it was just his way of making his little sister blush and squirm, the way big brothers sometimes did.
Ivy’s heart did a little flip in her chest. Her red eyes widened, and her already red cheeks burned even hotter.
"R-Really?"
Aiden nodded, though his expression made it obvious he was just playing around. He cupped her right cheek with his hand, his thumb gently rubbing across her soft skin in slow circles.
"You look adorable in this outfit, Ivy. The way the black lace peeks out from under the cardigan, the little slit in the skirt, those stockings with the garter... Seraphina really knows how to pick things that suit you. You’re glowing today."
Ivy’s face grew even redder. She leaned slightly into his touch, her small hand coming up to rest on top of his while her other hand stayed on his thigh. Her heart was pounding so hard she was sure he could hear it.
"I... Onee-Chan brought me more dresses too... I can wear them and show you too, if you want..." she said shyly, looking up at him with hopeful eyes.
Aiden smiled warmly. His fingers moved gently, brushing a strand of her long black hair behind her pointed ear. His thumb traced from her cheek up to her cute little nose, rubbing and bumping it lovingly. Ivy closed her eyes for a moment, leaning fully into his touch. She felt safe, calm, and strangely happy — even though her heart felt like it was about to explode from all the attention.
Her other remained resting on his thigh. Aiden kept one hand on her cheek and the other wrapped securely around her waist.
He leaned in teasingly, his face getting closer to hers. Ivy’s eyes and mouth widened in surprise. She thought he was going to kiss her. Not knowing what else to do, she squeezed her eyes shut and waited, her breath hitching when she felt his warm breath brush against her lips.
Then — pinch.
Aiden gently pinched and pulled at her nose with his fingers.
Ivy’s eyes flew open as she let out another cute yelp.
Aiden burst out laughing. "Kiddo... You’re so cute."
Her face burned with embarrassment. She looked away quickly, not knowing how to explain why she had closed her eyes like that. Her long ears twitched in flustered little movements.
Aiden’s expression softened. He leaned in again, this time pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead, then her right cheek, then her left cheek — each one warm and loving.
She looked up at him, still blushing furiously but with a small, shy smile starting to form.
"That was your gift for going through with my teasing," he said with a chuckle.
Before Ivy could reply, a familiar amused voice came from the doorway.
"Husband, don’t tease her so much. You do know that Ivy has this cute little crush on her Onii-Chan, right?"
Ivy yelped in surprise and looked up shyly at Aiden, her ears turning even redder.
Aiden glanced over as Lysandra, one of his wives, walked into the living room and sat down beside him on the sofa. She had a knowing, playful smile on her face.
Aiden looked back at Ivy, still loving how shy and fidgety she was. He pulled her closer by the waist and gently pressed her against his chest, one hand resting on the back of her head and the other rubbing her back soothingly.
"I’m lucky to have you as my sister, you know that?" he said warmly.
Ivy smiled and wrapped her small arms around him, hugging him tightly.
"I love you, Onii-Chan..."
"I love you too, Kiddo."
After a moment, Aiden broke the hug and scooped her up effortlessly, settling her on his lap so she was facing forward. With his arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her gently against his chest, it really did look like Ivy was their daughter. Lysandra leaned closer, resting her head on Aiden’s shoulder with a soft smile.
"Husband... you’ll kill her out of embarrassment. Look how she’s squirming on your lap. She can’t take this much closeness all at once."
Aiden chuckled, resting his chin lightly on top of Ivy’s head.
"I’m making her get used to it. She’s family. This is normal."
Lysandra laughed softly and reached over to gently pat Ivy’s knee.
"She’s been fidgeting with her fingers since you pulled her onto your lap. Poor thing’s heart is probably racing."
Ivy squirmed a little on Aiden’s lap but didn’t try to get down. Her cheeks were still pink, but she looked content.
Aiden leaned down toward Ivy’s ear and asked quietly, "Where are my dear Leona, Liri, and Noir?"
Ivy fidgeted with her fingers for a moment before looking back up at him.
"They’re still sleeping..."
Aiden smiled. "And you’re not? Why?"
Ivy looked down shyly, then back up at him with a small, honest expression.
"I just... just... wanted you to see me in my new dress."
Aiden’s heart warmed at that. He leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss on top of her head.
"You’re such a good girl, Ivy."
Lysandra smiled against his shoulder, her voice soft and affectionate.
"She really does look adorable today. Seraphina has good taste. And you, husband... you’re too good at making her blush. But it’s sweet how she lights up when you praise her."
Aiden kept his arms around Ivy’s waist, rocking her gently on his lap like he was soothing a child. Ivy leaned back against his chest, feeling safe and happy. Her long black hair spilled over his arm, and her small hands rested on top of his.
Lysandra continued in a gentle tone, "You know, when I saw you two like this just now, it really did look like we have another daughter. The way she sits on your lap, the way she looks up at you... it’s precious."
Aiden chuckled again. "She’s my little sister. But yeah... it does feel like family. A big, happy family."
Ivy smiled shyly at that, her red eyes sparkling a little. She didn’t say anything, but she hugged his arms a little tighter where they were wrapped around her.
Lysandra reached over and gently fixed a strand of Ivy’s hair that had fallen out of place.
"Next time you wear one of the new dresses, come find me too, okay? I want to see how pretty you look as well."
Ivy nodded quickly, still blushing but clearly happy to be included.
Aiden kissed the top of her head again and murmured, "You can show us all the dresses later if you want. We’ll both watch."
Ivy looked between them, her shyness slowly melting into quiet happiness. She leaned back fully against Aiden’s chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart and the warmth of Lysandra’s presence beside them.
