Chapter 319: The Better the Aptitude, the Purer the Blood Crystal
"Young Master! Young Master! Someone has arrived with the Bounty Order!"
Yu Yao was listening to the doctors discuss the Yu Family Head’s condition when a servant ran over, panting, to report.
She immediately stood up. "Who is it? Where are they?!"
The servant said, "They seem to be from out of town. The butler has already shown them to the front hall."
Yu Yao went over at once. Before she even reached the front hall, she recognized Yu An.
"Benefactor!"
She hurried over. "So it’s you!"
Yu An smiled. "Young Master Yu, I hope you’ve been well."
After a few pleasantries, Yu Yao eagerly got to the point. "Benefactor, do you really have the Divine Spring Water?"
"Of course," Yu An said, taking out a small porcelain bottle. "I came upon this by chance and happened to see someone posting the Bounty Order after I entered the city."
The porcelain bottle wasn’t large. As she handed it to Yu Yao, Yu An specifically instructed her to dilute it with water before taking it.
Yu Yao was ecstatic. She clutched the porcelain bottle tightly, terrified she might accidentally drop it.
’Father is saved!’
The bounty on the order was a huge sum, but seeing that it was Yu An, Yu Yao offered to double it.
Even so, she felt Yu An was losing out. After all, Divine Spring Water was priceless and its value immeasurable.
Yu An politely declined. "I’m not in need of money. I only brought out the Divine Spring Water because of our connection."
"Of course, I’m not asking for nothing in return. I came to ask for the Young Master’s help in finding someone."
"Finding someone?"
Yu Yao was stunned for a moment, then readily agreed. "It’s just a search for a person. My Yu Family will do everything in our power."
"But that alone is hardly enough to repay your kindness, Benefactor. Oh, and for saving my life last time... I truly have no way to repay you."
Yu An waved her hand. "There’s no need for that, Young Master. It was nothing."
She took out a photograph. "This is my daughter, the one I’m looking for. She should be within Earth Geography City. I must trouble the Young Master to send more people to find her."
Hearing this, and seeing how young the child in the photograph was, Yu Yao became even more serious.
"Don’t worry, Benefactor. I’ll have people start searching right now. Rest assured, even if I have to turn Earth Geography City upside down, I will find your child!"
She invited Yu An and her companions to stay so she could properly act as their host. Yu An thought for a moment and agreed.
Yu Yao was in a hurry to save her father. She instructed the butler to arrange the best courtyard in the residence for their group, then rushed off.
The doctors had also heard the servant’s report and were craning their necks, waiting for Yu Yao to bring back the Divine Spring Water.
When Yu Yao’s figure appeared in their line of sight, they swarmed over to her.
"Young Master, did you get the Divine Spring Water?"
"No one has ever seen what Divine Spring Water looks like. Young Master, you mustn’t be deceived!"
"Yes, yes! What if it worsens the Family Head’s condition...?"
"She wouldn’t," Yu Yao said, clutching the porcelain bottle. "That person is my savior. She wouldn’t joke about something like this."
’Although she didn’t know Yu An well, she had a feeling that Yu An was a trustworthy person. Besides, they had agreed to stay at the Yu residence without any sign of a guilty conscience. It was obvious the Divine Spring Water wasn’t fake.’
When the porcelain bottle was opened, a faint fragrance filled the air, and everyone who smelled it instantly felt their spirits lift.
"Could it be... really the Divine Spring Water?"
"This is definitely no ordinary item. The Family Head is saved!"
The doctors were so overjoyed they were nearly in tears. Among them, one’s expression flickered. "Young Master, to be cautious, we should still examine it."
"The Family Head cannot withstand any more setbacks. What if...?"
Without a second thought, Yu Yao rejected his request for an inspection. Not trusting anyone else, she personally took the liquid, diluted it with water, and fed it to the Yu Family Head.
Usually, half the medicine would spill out whenever he was fed, but this time, the Yu Family Head actually began to swallow unconsciously.
Yu Yao fed him carefully, not wasting a single drop. After he finished it all, the Yu Family Head’s eyes suddenly snapped open.
"Father, you’re awake!"
Yu Yao hadn’t expected the Divine Spring Water to be so miraculous. But before she could say another word, the Yu Family Head suddenly spat out a mouthful of black blood and fell unconscious again.
Fortunately, after the doctors examined him, they said the Yu Family Head had spat out poisoned blood and that his body was slowly recovering.
Yu Yao breathed a sigh of relief. "That’s good. Guards, stand watch over the Family Head."
’I have to personally search for my benefactor’s daughter, but I can’t be careless here with Father, either. Someone might try to take advantage of this crisis.’
Yu An and her group didn’t just sit and wait for the Yu Family to conduct the search; they went out to look as well.
Lu Lu went out on its own. Wherever it passed, inconspicuous green vines sprouted from the ground.
If Fuzai passed by, it would be able to sense her.
The Yu Family poured all its resources into the search, but unfortunately, after five or six days of scouring every inch of Earth Geography City, they still hadn’t found her.
The biggest breakthrough came from Lu Lu. It happened to pass by the Yu Family Head’s courtyard and instantly bound a person on the spot.
The person was still clutching a packet of medicinal powder when Lu Lu trussed him up like a mummy.
"Doctor Sun, you were actually trying to poison the Family Head! The Yu Family has treated you well. Why would you do this?!"
After an examination by the other doctors, the powder in the packet was discovered to be the same poison that had first afflicted the Yu Family Head.
Doctor Sun had been with the Yu Family for over twenty years; Yu Yao couldn’t imagine that he had been bought off by the Tian Family.
Doctor Sun’s face was ashen, knowing he couldn’t escape his fate. "Young Master, my family has been captured by the Tian Family. If I don’t obey their orders, they will die."
"My grandson is only three years old. He’s exceptionally talented and was tested to have Heavenly Level Spiritual Power. The Tian Family said that if I obey them, they’ll release my family. Otherwise... otherwise, they’ll refine them into a Blood Crystal..."
He felt he had no choice. So, before Yu Yao could speak again, he suddenly slammed himself against a wall, attempting to commit suicide.
Yu An casually sprouted a vine to trip him, and Yu Yao quickly had her men restrain him, not about to let him die so easily.
Yu Yao said coldly, "Doctor Sun, I know you have your reasons, but that is no excuse for harming others."
"You could have told me or the Great Elder. Why did you have to listen to them?"
"You’ve been with the Yu Family for more than twenty years, so you’re considered a clan veteran. You can’t be ignorant of what kind of people the Tian Family are, can you?"

"Young Master," Yu An suddenly interjected, "what was Doctor Sun talking about, refining people into a Blood Crystal?"

"Many years ago, the Tian Family captured people for this refinement process. But due to a lack of evidence, and because they stopped just in time, we were never able to expose their evil deeds to the public."
"Recently, the Tian Family seems to have become active again. As far as I know, several families in Earth Geography City have had children go missing, and the Yu Family is currently helping them search."
As she said this, Yu Yao suddenly seemed to realize something. She paused, hesitant to continue.
Yu An, of course, had realized it as well.
