Looking at Wu Chang opening his eyes, Raventon asked, "What did you perceive?"

Wu Chang said, "There’s an Extraordinary Steam Engine inside the textile factory, which can produce a special steam that nullifies all Extraordinary Abilities it contacts."

"However, the range of the steam isn’t large, which actually exposes the location of the Extraordinary Steam Engine."

"If nothing unexpected happens, it’s hidden in the high-grade fabric workshop."

Raventon showed a helpless expression on his face, starting to suspect whether Wu Chang used some kind of Hypnosis on him, and then seized the opportunity to sneak into the factory for a thorough investigation.

"Rather than believing you used distant Inspiration Perception, I prefer to believe you came here in advance to scout."

"Now that it’s confirmed there’s an issue here, what should we do next."

Wu Chang shrugged and said, "Just like at Pine Tree Coal Mine, notify Julie, let her handle the aftermath."

Raventon took out a piece of paper, quickly wrote down the incident, and then activated Communication Magic to send the intelligence to Julie.

Wu Chang asked, "Message sent?"

Raventon put the pen back in his pocket and said, "Sent, given Julie’s efficiency, it’ll take no more than an hour or two for her to arrive with people."

Wu Chang nodded and said, "Good, now we should do what we need to."

Seeing Wu Chang walking towards Sloan Textile Factory, Raventon felt a bad premonition rising in his heart. He quickly followed and said:

"Wait, what are you planning to do?"

Wu Chang, as expected, said, "Of course, go in and catch the people. Didn’t I say we’d handle everything and let Julie come to wrap up?"

Raventon’s mouth twitched slightly, questioning, "Just the two of us?"

Wu Chang affirmed, "Of course."

Raventon grumbled, "Then you shouldn’t have asked me to notify Julie but rather your most trusted Peace."

"You just mentioned that the Extraordinary Steam Engine inside the textile factory can nullify Extraordinary Abilities. Keep in mind, Sloan Textile Factory employs at least 50 overseers and has quite a few Gale gang thugs on payroll."

"We are going to face hundreds of armed thugs, and they likely have guns equipped with Demon-Breaking Bullets!"

Wu Chang questioned, "So?"

Raventon rolled his eyes and said:

"So, we should gather the personnel, if not call the entire Police Hall, at least bring the 20 to 30 people from the Secret Security Department."

Wu Chang’s pace didn’t slow, continuing towards Sloan Textile Factory, casually saying:

"It’s only a matter of dealing with a few ordinary people, no need to be so tense. Haven’t you practiced Fighting and Swordsmanship besides Extraordinary Power?"

Raventon complained, but still followed behind Wu Chang, "I just hate unnecessary risks."

The two of them just arrived at Sloan Textile Factory’s entrance, where two grim-faced, hostile guards with whips on their waists approached and said:

"Cops, what are you doing here?"

Wu Chang replied, "We received a report that the factory is producing illegal goods, you two..."

Wu Chang paused, turning to ask Raventon, "How do police usually address those who obstruct them?"

Raventon suggested, "Filthy trash."

Wu Chang turned his head and continued, "You two filthy trash, immediately squat down with your heads in your hands and cooperate with our inspection."

The two guards laughed angrily, reaching for the whips at their waists, saying:

"Are you crazy? Can’t you see this is Mr. Sloan’s factory? I..."

Before the guard could finish his sentence, his body was thrown back, crashing into Sloan Textile Factory’s gates.

"How dare you..."

The other guard didn’t have time to finish either, and flew backwards like his companion.

Wu Chang slowly withdrew his foot, and asked Raventon:

"This isn’t a pointless risk; it can save us a lot of time. Time is money."

He stepped over the shattered gate and the bodies of two unconscious guards, walking straight into the factory.

Raventon sighed, tightened his grip on his cane, and followed Wu Chang.

The commotion at the entrance had already attracted the attention of the factory’s internal guards. As the guards rushed out, they saw their two comrades lying on the ground.

But due to the skin of Wu Chang and Raventon’s presence, the guards dared not engage in direct conflict. Instead, they shouted for the two to stop and questioned what happened.

Currently situated in the outer area of Sloan Textile Factory, the Extraordinary Abilities hadn’t been affected by Steam Root Power yet, Wu Chang snapped his fingers, and all the guards rushing out from the factory instantly vanished.

He snapped another finger, and the guards, now soaked and lying on the ground, became completely unconscious.

For these guards who haven’t mastered Extraordinary Power, merely soaking in the Blind Abyss for a moment allows the Power of the Blind Abyss to disperse their consciousness, letting them fall into complete darkness without realizing what happened.

Raventon matched Wu Chang’s pace, walking deeper into the factory, glancing back at the guards piled on the ground, questioning:

"What did you do to them?"

Wu Chang said, "Just sent them to take a bath in Hills River."

The guards were dealt with so swiftly, that the workers in the workshop didn’t have time to react to what happened.

As Wu Chang and Raventon passed through the workshop, the textile workers showed no reaction to their presence; they numbly stared at the machines before them, not daring to be distracted for even a moment.

Several overseers did notice something amiss; one of them wanted to step up and question but was stopped by another.

Better to avoid trouble; the guards outside let these watchdogs in, why should these overseers step into danger?
