Wu Chang’s consciousness withdrew from the bodyguard’s resentment, his gaze carrying a look of realization.

No wonder he thought this group of guys never learned their lesson; after the self-destruction of the Pine Tree Coal Mine’s Extraordinary Refining Machine failed, they still attempted to blow up the Soul Weaving Machine.

Turns out the two groups weren’t from the same unit.

The ones supplying the Soul Weaving Machine to the Sloan Textile Factory were actually the Peace Church.

He remembered when he previously saw Randy at the Extraordinary gathering; Randy mentioned there were signs of Peace Church activities in Grimland recently, and today he finally encountered them.

But it made sense; such a grand play would feel lacking if the Peace Church wasn’t involved.

After all, in the Moonlight Sanatorium Dungeon, the Peace Church was the hidden BOSS, and there was no reason for them to leave the scene so early.

Unfortunately, the deceased individual had too low a position, and the intelligence provided was limited.

Aside from the fact that there was more than one factory collaborating with the Peace Church, the Dungeon Plane’s Peace Church was currently overseen by a Secret Ceremony Master, who couldn’t provide more effective clues.

After a brief examination of the Soul Spinning Shuttle, Raventon concluded that each field has its own expertise, and he wasn’t adept at machinery.

He returned the Soul Spinning Shuttle to Wu Chang, took out his handheld duster, and sprayed a thin layer of phosphorescent dust.

The phosphorescent dust flowed through the air, with some entering the Soul Weaving Machine and some falling to the ground.

He observed the direction in which the phosphorescent dust scattered and said:

"Sloan is cautious; he should have already escaped through the secret passage, leaving these two guys behind to cover his escape."

"But it’s okay; with his size, he can’t run very far. We just need to have the Secret Police issue a wanted notice, and we’ll catch him soon."

Wu Chang raised his head, nodded with his chin at the faint red steam emitted by the Soul Weaving Machine, and said:

"No need to issue a wanted notice for Sloan; he’s right there."

Raventon sniffed, his expression turning somewhat grim. "So decisive in silencing him, now the leads have run out again."

Wu Chang said, "This case isn’t urgent to investigate. The ones behind supplying the Extraordinary Steam Engine aren’t the Steam Council but the Peace Church."

Raventon was silent for a moment, then asked, "Discovered through Inspiration again?"

Wu Chang nodded, "That’s right."

Raventon clicked his tongue; he felt he was getting used to Wu Chang’s outrageous Inspiration.

After taking out the Soul Spinning Shuttle, the Soul Weaving Machine continued to operate for five or six minutes before completely stopping due to inertia.

The reason Wu Chang and Raventon knew it had completely stopped wasn’t through the status of the Soul Weaving Machine, but from the screams of the textile workers outside.

Having left the soul weaving, the textile workers outside seemed to experience withdrawal symptoms, beginning to weep bitterly and collapse to the ground, wailing.

Some, who had overdrawn too much Life Force and Soul Power, even convulsed and fainted on the spot.

The entire workshop was filled with pleading voices:

"Please, let me work a little longer."

"I can’t live without this job."

A group of textile workers, struggling to even stand, crawled toward the Soul Weaving Machine in the depths of the workshop, creating a scene that looked quite bizarre.

Fortunately, their Physical Strength and energy had been almost entirely drained by work, and they fainted after moving only a short distance, thus incapable of discovering the Soul Weaving Machine’s existence.

Wu Chang and Raventon waited in the Sloan Textile Factory for about an hour before they saw Julie arrive with a large number of Secret Police, surrounding the textile factory completely.

Led by the two men, Julie saw the fallen textile workers and the Soul Weaving Machine in the depths of the workshop.

After listening to Wu Chang and Raventon’s description, Julie’s expression turned very grim.

It was an expression of unwillingness to see the scene before her, yet feeling powerless to change anything.

Wu Chang recalled the question Julie had asked him outside the Gray Church Slums, and now couldn’t help but ask:

Julie shook her head and said, "Of course not."

"Some time ago, you asked us if the way things are done in the slums is the solution we want. Have you come up with your solution now?" Wu Chang continued to ask.

Julie’s eyes were filled with confusion; she sighed and said:

"I don’t know, and I seem to be getting further from the answer."

Wu Chang said, "As a friend, I’ll give you a piece of advice."

"Time waits for no one. Don’t be afraid to make your own choices because you’re afraid of failure. If you wait until others make choices for you and the situation becomes irreversible, you’ll regret it."

Julie looked helplessly at Wu Chang and said, "As a friend, shouldn’t you be saying something comforting at this time?"

Wu Chang shrugged and said:

"Friendships have different roles; if you want comfort, I’ll find someone for you."

"Deputy leader, where are you, deputy leader!"

Wu Chang watched Raventon escape from the advanced fabric workshop, his lips twisting in disdain as he mouthed the word "coward."

"Well, it seems you won’t be getting any comfort for now."

Wu Chang looked at the Soul Weaving Machine and said:

"According to our investigation, the mastermind behind the Extraordinary Steam Engine case is the Peace Church; the Peace Church is the biggest enemy of the Secret Magic Knight Order, which I think you should understand."

"I hope there aren’t a bunch of powerful shareholders behind Sloan, which would require us to suppress the matter for a while."

Julie said, "It’s no longer necessary. What happened previously at Saint George Plaza greatly angered Her Majesty the Queen, and she has reached an agreement with Prime Minister Glad on this issue. There will be no further compromises with those abusing the Extraordinary Steam Engine."

"Moreover, concerning the Peace Church, you have nearly unlimited accountability authority; whatever you want to do, Her Majesty the Queen will not stop you."
