Lesson three.

Having encountered a mysterious black cat named Shapeshifter, I decided to explain how I was until I woke up here.

The black cat nodded and opened his mouth as he finished explaining the roughness even as he was distracted by the black cat moving his tail.

"Hmm, apparently you've been involved in a different world summons."

"Isekaishaukan?"

Oh, what's that?

You mean the old lamb?

"It's about the ritual of calling to this world those who possess the qualities of heroes. I only know it by knowledge, but that's probably why you're here."

"He who possesses the qualities of a hero..."

No way, I have such a talent...

With that in mind, the black cat stares at me with a jittery eye.

"Don't get me wrong. It's my daughter who has the qualities. It's a long way from being a hero."

"Can you give me a little bit of a dream!"

"Dreaming in a place like this can only be a nightmare. Well, I think I've got a lot to talk about. Let's talk about me next."

"... Yes"

I nod in plain depression at the black cat I spoke of.

"My name is Sif. He's one of the demons who lives in this ruin. Demons are a generic term for powerful and capable creatures, unlike cat-like animals."

"By generic name... is shapeshifter like your race name?"

"Mm-hmm. An indefinite monster who can change his own appearance, that's the shapeshifter. So now the appearance of a black cat is just one aspect of what I have"

That's what I say. No, the black cat - it deforms like a twist and clay from the figure of a shiv, to a small animal like an owl, a crow, or a rat.

The last time you go back to the black cat, you look at me.

"Here's the thing. Understand?"

"Oh, oh..."

Somehow, awesome.

I kind of understood that this is a different world, but I just have to admit that I can show you proof of it.

"And this is where we're going to be... and why don't you get out of this ruin with me?"

I round my eyes to unexpected suggestions.

"I don't even wish I could, but you can't do it alone?"

"Oh. There are demons here besides me. The strongest of them guard the entrance."

Move your gaze at the end of the exit, which is almost blocked by debris.

The strongest, from what we've been talking about, maybe -,

You mean fight? That, a strong demon... "

"It could be such a development."

"can't we do something about it in a discussion...?"

"I can't."

The way you say it without making me say yes or no, I get barometric pressure.

Shiv, the demon, seemed quite rational to me when I first found out about the existence of the demon.

So I thought there were a lot of highly intelligent individuals called demons...

"Unfortunately, few demons solve humanities like me. I can talk to you because I've learned words and tricks from a human being, and most demons don't say words."

"Really..."

But why do you need me?

Even if I get more, I'm only supposed to get my feet together. [M]

"... are you trying to humiliate me?"

"I don't have to doubt that, either, but let me tell you it's not. Then it will be enough to make the right demons to live here."

I'm not lying...... it seems.

With his suspicious eyes on Schiff, he goes on to utter words.

"It's important to me to get out of this ruin with a human being named Takeshi."

"Do you have a reason to do that?"

"Yes."

Schiff, who assures me without hesitation, takes me by surprise.

... With him, you must have just met him for the first time.

And yet I don't see why you're trying to help me without looking at the danger.

"I waited for people like you. Be my lord."

"... is that me?"

"Oh, Tamer... you have the gift of making demons obey you"

"Tamer? That makes a monster or something a demon...?"

"What. Do you know that?"

I've played fantasy-based games before, so I know for once.

Still, though I never heard the name Shapeshifter.

"Your Lord's magic is for demons, right... should it be called delicious? It's something special that can empower us."

"Does it taste good or something?"

"It's just a metaphor. But you better be aware that you have the charm to bewitch demons"

I was surprised that something magical was ready for me, but I never thought that was special to the demon.

"Do you have any idea?"

"Oh, you know what?"

"E.g.... avoided by animals?"

"Nano!?"

I open my eyes to the fact of the matter.

"Do you have any idea? Animals were avoided because the quality of their magic was too strong and wild animals instinctively avoided them."

"So, so... ugh! I knew it was because of my own physique..."

But I'm glad it's not body odor or anything...!

Instead, you never thought it was the magic that kept you away from animals.

I didn't even know magic existed in the first place in the original world.

"That's why I want you to be my lord"

"Why did you bother with my demon..."

"I told you. He said he was waiting for someone like you."

……

Schiff sees the white bone corpse, who is doing his best to take it to the altar.

The black cat's sharp eyes felt something like nostalgia and sadness somewhere, but ——— it seemed like there was no malice towards me in it.

……

Believe it or not, you might want to.

"... ok. What am I supposed to do?"

"Are you sure? What am I supposed to say, maybe you're trying to fool me with your magic tricks?"

"I believe in you. When you get here, you're the only one I can count on."

"Well... then give me your hand"

Give him your hand as he tells you.

"Get a little blood. I'm sorry, but I need you to be patient."

"Oh, oh."

When Schiff gently lays his nails on the back of my hand, a nagging scratch is engraved.

I was ready to hurt, but I'm surprised the other way around with a scratch a little.

"Oh, that's all?"

"You don't want to hurt, do you? Besides, if it's as magical as you think it is, it's enough."

He looked up at me with a small forefoot, a pong, over my hand.

"Focus your consciousness on your hands. That's all I need now."

"... I'll try"

Ah, meatballs.

Focus your consciousness while being disturbed by the sensations you feel on the back of your hand.

"The devil and man, he that says, the layman. Proof of blood, and make an old covenant now."

When Schiff mumbles something like a spell, a pale light pours out of my hand into Schiff's body.

He was meditating his eyes to withstand something, but when the light enveloped his entire body, he took his forefoot off my hand.

"Now the contract is complete. It's a little old, but I'm glad it worked."

"Have you become my demon?"

"Close your eyes. You should be able to feel my presence."

Close your eyes as he tells you, you can see the presence of the shiv in front of you, though somehow.

The beat and the connection between me and him.

Maybe this is what magic is all about.

"Well, let's name it again. I'm Schiff. It is a considerable loss to an indeterminate monster, and a shapeshifter of a stranger who once made man his friend. My current name is named after my friend, so I want you to keep calling me that."

... maybe we'll have a long relationship with him.

Little has passed since I met him, and he's still a bad guy, but somehow I had a feeling about it.

That's why I carve his name into my heart once now, take a small, deep breath, and then I tell him my name, too.

"I'm Aliharakite. Call me whatever you want, Alihara, or Kite.... If it's such an unreliable me, thank you. Sif."

"Um, here we are. My lord, kite."

It's still a place where I don't know the right or the left, but it's a pleasure for me to have someone I can count on.
