"Pioneer Bank?" Feng Jun elongated his voice to express his dissatisfaction, "Since you manage to get things done reasonably well, I’ll give you a chance to explain... why are you passing their message?"

I knew I wouldn’t get a good reception! He Runxian went straight to the point, "They’re willing to offer some arms."

Damn it, Feng Jun couldn’t help but jump in shock, no wonder He Runxian spoke up, they’re really generous, "Hold on a moment, I’m a bit curious... where do they plan to deliver?"

"Certainly not around this star system," He Runxian was well-prepared, "Other star systems would be much easier... the outskirts of the Dumbbell Star System are fine, you decide."

Feng Jun pondered for a moment before asking, "As for the previous locator issue, what do they mean by it?"

What else could it be? They’re selling you arms here! He Runxian knew clearly but couldn’t speak bluntly, "You need to know each other through interaction, Bell is willing to host an apology party, and if you don’t want to show up... he can make a personal financial compensation."

After a pause, he conveyed another request, "Those six people... please let them go."

"Host a party? This guy’s got some nerve," Feng Jun sneered, "He’s the one who provoked me! Fight when you want, make peace when you want, who does he think he is?"

"You’re right," He Runxian decisively agreed, despite immense pressure from headquarters, his priority was to maintain good ties with the broker, for amidst a battlefield, no one is more crucial than this person.

Of course, he wasn’t short on conversation skills, "Therefore, I’d suggest, try to ask for more arms, more firepower; if they can’t meet your demands, they won’t have the face to talk reconciliation."

Feng Jun remained silent for a while before asking, "The cost of the arms... settled by them, that’s no issue, right?"

"It should be something you both discuss," He Runxian, while inclined towards the broker, wouldn’t meddle, "However, you can be sure that if you safely return those six people, you’ll gain Pioneer Bank’s goodwill."

"In my line of business, what’s the use of goodwill? It’s fear from others that matters!" Feng Jun chuckled lightly, shutting off the communicator.

The next day, the six missing appeared in a wooded area of the Dumbbell Star System, five were already dead, only the fund’s vice-president was in a coma.

The first to arrive were Pioneer Bank’s security personnel, as they received the alert from the vice-president’s communication wristwatch, clearly, the alert was not from the vice-president himself.

The security were urgent to report up the line after the alert indicated it was not an ordinary incident.

So before the police were alerted, Pioneer Bank took over the matter.

The bank quickly brought in medical personnel to examine and found all five deceased were overdosed on anesthetics, while the fund’s vice-president was also drugged, the dose was much lighter, waking up shortly after.

More troubling was the examination results showing: the time of death for the five deceased was no more than twelve hours.

At first, Pioneer Bank believed that the broker organization deliberately showed goodwill towards the bank by not eliminating the vice-president, but upon their partners’ insistence to know the truth, they realized it was big trouble!

The detectives’ agency wasn’t a subsidiary of the bank, only long-time partners, frequently accepting business commissions from Pioneer Bank, this time as well.

The agency’s executives understood the situation, but the deceased’s relatives... needed an explanation, right?

The relatives don’t care about any inside story, just want to know how and why their family died, mere compensation won’t cut it.

But this matter... really isn’t suitable for ordinary people knowing, too much inside information, if the relatives understood and spread it, Pioneer Bank would inevitably have to present some scapegoats.

Thinking further, once the relatives spread the rumor, would the broker organization, capable of breaking through Insect Race blockade to deliver goods – would such news draw military attention?

Pioneer Bank must suppress the news, detectives’ agency even complained: why did only your vice-president survive? Even if killed, it wouldn’t be enough to suppress employees’ emotions.

But how could Pioneer Bank agree to this? The fund is theirs, vice-president went to frontline to curry favor with the bank, albeit somewhat lowering himself, but wasn’t it ultimately for the bank’s benefit?

Moreover, their own barely survived back, killing him, employees’ hearts would chill.

Regardless, reactions were particularly unexpected, when He Runxian contacted Feng Jun, he couldn’t help but ask, "Why leave only one alive?"

"I don’t know the specifics," Feng Jun deflected with Tai Chi, "Others may have died accidentally... who could say for sure?"

Accidental death... those five were recently dead! He Runxian clearly understood but arguing is senseless, "What a coincidence, the survivor is an affiliate of Pioneer Bank, the only one directly related to the bank."

"Isn’t that good?" Feng Jun expressed gratification, "Perfectly avoids conflict with Pioneer Bank."

If I believe you, I’m a fool! He Runxian knew: right before releasing, your side killed five unrelated people, now you tell me... avoiding conflict?

He didn’t believe it, nor wanted to be fooled, "Precisely because this survivor is with the bank, the pressure mounts, deceaseds’ relatives demand explanation... you foresaw this, right?"

The clarity in his words led Feng Jun to abandon the charade and laugh, "The survivor won’t have an easy time, better he live and suffer than die... Pioneer Bank won’t have a good time either, right?"

He Runxian affirmed his guess, nonetheless astonished by the opponent’s calculated retaliation, "Responsibility lies on heads, ultimately that vice-president was the instigator, others merely sought gains, your revenge... truly distinctive."

Feng Jun didn’t acknowledge, instead asked, "The real culprit should be Bell, right? As the organizer, if he didn’t want our enmity, could it have reached this point?"

He Runxian was shocked, "Seriously, you intend to continue against him?"

"I considered going after him last time," Feng Jun leisurely replied, "However, he didn’t insist on meeting, I let him off one time, yet he messaged me this mess... but, no rush!"

Still aiming at him? He Runxian understood the strategy and continued to apply pressure on the bank, "Such actions may lead to stopping cooperation... retaliation from Pioneer Bank is fearsome."

"Feel free to retaliate," Feng Jun dismissed indifferently, then casually asked, "By the way, does Hesheng have any intention to take over Pioneer Bank? If so, I can help you."

"Don’t," He Runxian was shocked, "You might not fully understand Pioneer Bank’s threats... if Hesheng shows the slightest hint, my He family would be utterly obliterated!"

"Haha," Feng Jun laughed indifferently, "I might not understand Pioneer Bank’s threats, does it matter? All I need is knowing how terrifying we are!"

He truly didn’t believe, no matter how formidable Pioneer Bank is, could surpass resources Feng could access from cultivators.

I knew it’d be like this, He Runxian rolled his eyes, while understanding Pioneer Bank’s horror, this broker organization appeared extremely fierce, "Alright, I’m asked to inquire... still interested in further trades?"

Upon Pioneer Bank’s rescue efforts, despite anger, there was suspicion over the broker organization’s stance towards us; is this a demonstration, or ongoing pursuit?

Pioneer Bank admitted the opposition wasn’t simple, but should this continue perpetually, Pioneer Bank wasn’t intimidated – under the banner of pioneering, such tasks bearing human race’s endeavors, what storms haven’t been encountered?

They hoped Hesheng could provide clarity, whether opponent wished to battle or reconcile.

He Runxian wasn’t particularly keen on being involved, yet only he could handle this, hence he wanted to clarify early: not allied with that lot.

Regardless of his thoughts, questions must be asked in the end.

"Negotiations can happen anytime," Feng Jun responded dismissively, in Tianqin Plane, things are spontaneous, but not the same on Earth Plane; he viewed Insect World as technologically-based, humanity widely accepting trading behaviors.

So he stated, "No matter the inclination, business is just business."

He Runxian was stunned, mouth agape, he couldn’t deny Feng Jun misjudged this world’s culture, perhaps due to Insect Race’s existence, humanity still emphasized morality.

Money’s influence is immense, but no amount could tempt alliance with Insect Race.

Thus their monetary value perceptions weren’t as extreme as Earth’s people.

Business is just business? At heart, He Runxian didn’t entirely reject this notion, although he couldn’t fully embrace it, but viewed the broker’s mindset as normal – risking life whirling around, isn’t it purely for profits?

In short, he couldn’t agree though understood, "Still intending to negotiate?"

"Why not?" Feng Jun chuckled softly, "Depends on their sincerity."

Sincerity... He Runxian couldn’t help shivering, sensing the sincerity mentioned, wasn’t that simple?
