Chapter 86 - 83: Fire Ignition · Flower of Drowning
Hearing Faraway’s words, Li Miao and Brother Yu paused for a beat, but then chose to follow his lead.
In an instant, illusory Warfire ignited, gradually spreading from their arms to their Large Shields.
And this time, when the wails attacked again, the Warfire burning on their Large Shields flared up to counter them, holding the attack firmly at bay.
Using Warfire was an effective way to resist Magic Attacks!
Although the Warfire was also consumed in the process, it was undoubtedly far better than taking a direct hit to their Life Value!
The group realized this instantly.
Afterward, the trio began to coordinate seamlessly, dealing with the Flower of Drowning’s attacks.
Li Miao and Brother Yu focused on handling the attacking arms of the Flower of Drowning, while Faraway was responsible for dealing damage.
Even though they only had the space of three Spirit Fire Rafts to move on, they still handled the situation with ease.
’Is this what a battle between experts looks like?’
’They’re so strong.’
Crafty Frog and Venerable Lique, the two newbies, watched their battle from a safe distance, unable to help but feel impressed.
They were undoubtedly facing huge restrictions in the sea, but even so, they were still able to respond effectively and coordinate with perfect synergy.
Furthermore, through the continuous exchange, they quickly gained control of the situation.
WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!
Faraway’s firing rate grew faster and faster. More and more wounds gradually appeared on the Flower of Drowning’s body, leaking pus and blood that was diluted by the seawater.
Before long, seizing a gap while the Flower of Drowning was still attacking Li Miao and Brother Yu, Faraway raised his Devil Fish Tail Staff again. A Blood Stone Burst precisely struck the part of the Flower of Drowning made of corpses.
BOOM!
Flesh exploded and blood flew everywhere. Severed arms fell into the sea, sending up splashes of water.
[You have slain the Flower of Drowning]
With the coordination of the three top experts, the Flower of Drowning finally met its end, leaving behind only a pile of faintly glowing loot.
"The experts are awesome!"
The two Frogman Candle Spirits immediately cheered.
"Phew... That thing really is sanity-draining..."
Li Miao let out a sigh of relief, finally having a moment to complain about the Flower of Drowning’s appearance.
"It’s ugly, and it’s disgusting."
Brother Yu offered a fair assessment.
After confirming it was safe, Faraway rode his Spirit Fire Raft over to the pile of loot.

"This thing actually drops a special Warfire? Like the Law Knight boss? Does that mean it will resurrect too?"
Li Miao immediately had questions upon seeing the Fire Seed in Faraway’s hand.
"It will," Brother Yu said. "Look at the notification log."
Hearing this, Li Miao quickly turned his attention to the notification log.
[The special coastal monster "Flower of Drowning" has been slain. This monster will reset after a certain period of time.]
"A special monster that has a special Warfire but can still resurrect?"
"Looks like this must be a ’world boss,’ huh?"
Crafty Frog said thoughtfully.
"Let’s head back for now and study this Fire Seed," Faraway said.
The others naturally had no objections. They temporarily halted their exploration and returned to the coast of Exile Island.
On the way, they naturally divided the spoils of war.
The loot from the Flower of Drowning was clearly for a Mage, so everyone tacitly agreed to give it to Faraway.
Faraway didn’t refuse, but he wouldn’t take it for free either. After giving a portion of the Wax Oil to the others, he pocketed the rest of the loot.
[Do you wish to introduce Fire Seed·Drowning Flower (Initial Stage)?]
[Your compatibility with this Warfire: 90%]
After checking the compatibility information next to the Spirit Candle, Faraway shared it with the others.
"Ninety percent, huh? Not bad. It’s probably because you also put points into your Agility Attribute," Li Miao nodded.
"I remember that fusing with a Fire Seed changes your appearance, right?" Crafty Frog said. "After using this thing... will you turn into a monster like that one?"
Hearing this, the muscles on Li Miao’s and the others’ faces couldn’t help but twitch.
The Flower of Drowning’s appearance was genuinely horrifying.
"It doesn’t matter."
Faraway shook his head.
Compared to a looks-obsessed player like Li Miao, he was a true pragmatist. As long as it was useful, appearance didn’t matter.
Then, he decisively touched the Candlefire.
[You have chosen to introduce Fire Seed·Drowning Flower (Initial Stage).]
[Your compatibility with this Warfire: 90%]
[Fire Ignition in progress...]
The grayish-blue Fire Seed quickly fused with Faraway’s Candlefire right before everyone’s eyes.
"Hmm... It looks a bit like the Green Lotus Earth Core Fire," Crafty Frog said, rubbing his chin.
"Heh heh heh, the Buddha’s Fury Fire Lotus is about to be unleashed! Everyone, stand back!" Li Miao let out a sinister laugh, his face dark.
