Black Summoner

Episode 30: The Hidden Slave

We came to the Hidden Submersible when we were ready. At first glance, it looks like there's just a small cabin in the woods, but the cabin has a hidden entrance to the basement. There are four sets of adventurers' parties around the cabin, watching as they set up. We all know each other. Everyone has gathered the highest power of the C-Class Adventurer, possibly Pards. A wizard in a party seems to apply the magic of a sealed or defensive system, but I don't know if it will ever work for the devil. For this reason, the area around the cabin is surrounded by quiet tension.

"Sounds like a strict vigilance is being laid.

"The Hidden Submersible is not that far away from Pards. I think it's a natural procedure."

This time, Gerard is summoning in advance. The opponent is the devil who conceives the risk of S-level dangers, prepare for unforeseen events, and we want to keep Gerrard, our party's best defense, out. Looks like a big full plate armor. In this state, which also put a cover on the status, they wouldn't think it was a monster unless they did something bad. Even if it sucks, you should have had the teaching skills.

"The adventurer will come this way."

Turning to you in Effil's voice, I did see an adventurer's party rushing by. It doesn't look good to me in the distance, but the radar map of sign perception shows it as Wold. Sure, he's an adventurer who served as an examiner for the C-level promotion exam that Effil took. He himself is a C-class adventurer and, Ange said, seems to be a skilled professional on this path. Let's keep the results of the mock game quiet in his honor...

"Hey, Kelvin! You came too!

"It's been a long time, Mr. Wold"

"We're out of time"

"Oh, how was Effil, too? Ever since the promotion exam. You guys have been new adventurers since the beginning of Pars. If you'll join us in this crusade, there's no more reinforcements!

Following me, Effil also exchanges greetings. Apparently, Mr. Wold doesn't feel drawn to the fact that Effil killed him instantly. Quite expected on the contrary. The exterior is bearded, the axe is the weapon macho man, but he's quite refreshing. I was only briefed before the mock war during the exam, and I didn't even know who I was.

"Hmm? Who's your knight?

I think I noticed Gerard holding back.

"Washi is a friend of Kelvin's and his name is Gerard. I heard the devil came out of this crusade. As soon as I came to the assistant knife with a slight force"

Oh, that's a rare decision, Gerard. I can't imagine it coming from you.

"You're still a former knight chief, aren't you? I can be as courteous as this!

Looks like you can afford a scratch. All right, all right.

"I guarantee Gerard's arm. Besides, this armor, it's a piece of equipment made of materials from a previously crusaded Black Spirit Knight. I'm sure you can count on it."

And keep the hole blocked first. Some Pards still have memories of the Black Spirit Knight commotion. If I told you earlier that Black Spirit Knight material was used in armor, no one would think Gerard himself was a Black Spirit Knight.

"Really! Don't worry about Kelvin."

"So, what's the situation?

"As you can see, I'm on alert with a border on the cabin and a seal. I don't know how effective a cross seal (Cruzweid) is on the devil."

The cross seal (Cruzweid) was C-grade white magic. It is a particularly effective sealing magic for monsters of undead lineage such as ghosts and zombies within the magic range. It's an image that seems to work for the devil as well, but the opponent can't be overconfident, at least a B-class monster.

'Unless you're a Class B demon, it must work to the point of rest. Some demons use white magic.'

Oh, I knew it?

"Did Mr. Wold and the others see the devil in the den of hiding?

"No, the entrance was already sealed when I ran. Unless you are an adventurer of Class B or above at the direction of the Alliance, you will not be allowed to enter either. That's why we have to keep an eye on the C-class."

All levels of Mr. Wold's party are around 30. It can be said to be top class strength among the C grades. They won't let the guild in, either. I guess this prudence is Rio's decision. Otherwise, you wouldn't be making me a favor.

"Hmm, so you can't even go in with me and Effil?

"No, Kelvin's here on a special request from Chief Rio Guild, isn't he? Then I'll throw in a special party."

"Then we can join you."

Perfect prep? Rio, you were still willing to let me hit you from the start...

"Now, keep your guard up, Mr. Wold and the others. I'm going to see how the devil is."

"The opponent is a completely unknown monster. Don't ever be alarmed."

With advice from Mr. Wold, we head to the cabin, which is the entrance to the Hidden Submersible. There is a wizard-like woman in front of the cabin. Apparently they were expecting us.

"Master Kelvin, right? Rio, the guild leader, has told me about it. Partially punch a hole in the cross seal (Cruzweid), so come in from there"

Copy that, sir.

In the hole of the open junction, Gerard, me, and Effil go in order. As soon as Effil was done in, the hole was blocked.

"Please let me know when you can get out of the Hidden Slab."

With that said, the woman sat slightly away from the seal and meditated.

"So, king, let's go."

"Oh. Both of you, keep your heads together."

"Yes!"

Gerard puts his hand on the door of the cabin and opens it carefully. The search for the Hidden Submersible began.
