Black Summoner

Episode 68: The Transition Gate

Go down the stairs leading to the basement of Trage Castle. Master Tsubaki's escort leads the way, followed by us and Master Tsubaki. The destination is between metastases. It's a room with a convenient instantaneous moving gate, common in fantasy.

"Metastatic gate, is it? I didn't know there was such a thing."

"I thought Kelvin would know if he was an adventurer too... Lord, something strange is missing"

"My people often tell me that. How many minutes out of the country?"

Couscous and Serra laugh in the shadows. You had no choice, I really didn't know that. If Rio's guy had such a convenient way to get around, I wish he'd told me in advance.

"Well, because one adventurer isn't even an easy substitute to use. It will take a little longer between metastases. I can't help it, but in the meantime, my concubine will explain and move on."

No heart, or just seems a little happy.

"A transfer gate, as its name suggests, is a device that transports those who crept through the gate. The location of the transfer can be anywhere where the transfer gate is installed... but there are a few limitations. First of all, it takes a lot of magic to activate the portal. The amount is proportional to the distance to which it is transferred. The destination of this transfer is Pars, so it's probably better as consumption."

"I see... are the transfer gates in each city?

"No, it's not just the capitals and big cities of every country. For how many minutes now, the lost technology has been incorporated, and even if you can use it, you can't make a new one. In such a context, the transfer gates are strictly controlled by each country. This isn't one of the factors that adventurers can't handle."

Well, if there was such a thing, there would be some guys out there who would abuse it. It's like a sudden appearance of an enemy inside a castle.

"Only those with a certain identity and track record can use the Metastatic Gate. If it is easy to explain to the adventurer Kelvin, it is not for those who have obtained permission from the class A adventurer or above and from the administrator of the transfer gates at each of their departure and arrival points. You've borrowed a few guild cards before, right? I left a permit mark on Trage at that time. In other words, the Lord is qualified to do so. Most importantly, it is the mark of the concubine, King Trage. If you present this, you will not only benefit from the metastasis gates, but also from a variety of benefits within the Trage."

If you look closely at the guild card, the 'Tsubaki' lettering was inscribed on the national chapter of the Trage and on the bottom right of it. It's not a letter in this world, it's a kanji. Will the guild card be a proof of identity, and that Master Tsubaki's seal of permission has been recognized? But that shouldn't be enough to use the metastasis gates.

"Wait. Master Tsubaki would be honored to admit that I have not been authorized to use it by the administrator of the metastasis gate in Pars, have I? So it won't start?

Yeah, I didn't hear that in Pars. I saw a gate like that in Pards in the first place. I don't remember.

"What are you talking about? Isn't that already engraved on that guild card? Permission stamp for the Director of the Rio Alliance, Pars' transfer gatekeeper."

"Huh?"

Again, take your guild card seriously. Again, I don't see anything that looks like a permit stamp...... Ah.

"Hello, is this the mark of this wing?

"Uhm."

"This is it..."

Whoa, I thought it was the crest of the Adventurer's Guild without any doubt, but you think this wing is Pards' seal of permission? It's been engraved since I got my guild card!? Certification is too sweet for anything...

"Hehe, you look unusually surprised. Don't worry, I don't give a damn who the Rio Alliance chief is."

"What do you mean?

"The engraving of the wings is the crest of the Pars Adventurer Guild. If it is the guild of my trage, it imitates the shield. The crest is certainly inscribed on the F-level guild certificate of the new adventurer, but it really works when it comes to magic. Try magic in your guild card."

As Master Tsubaki tells me, I send a little magic to the guild card.

"Hmm..."

"Wow, it's beautiful..."

Gerard and Effil accidentally leak their voices. The engraving of my Alliance Certificate wings sparkled golden.

"This is a phenomenon that only happens with the engraving of those recognized by the Director of the Rio Alliance. He's a bigot. Admit it, I didn't tell your lord about it."

"Yeah, not a word. I didn't even hear about the metastasis gate."

"Kuha. I thought you planted it on your guild card when you got promoted."

Master Tsubaki laughs delightfully. I saw the big door while I was doing that.

"You're here. This is where the metastases are."

At the end the door was opened there was a gate of height that was likely to reach the ceiling. The Golem is likely to pass by. There are seven wizard-like people around the transfer gate.

"King, I've been waiting for you. Magic supply to the transfer gate has already been completed. Please use it."

The wizard's chief-like monk drips like this at Master Tsubaki. Others follow, but hey, hold your breath. It doesn't look like it's going to happen. Are you running out of MP?

"Well, I'm done replenishing the magic power of the story. After that, just specify the destination and wait for its approval. Look at that."

At the tip of the finger is a stone pedestal.

"Put your guild card on that pedestal and think of the destination. If your Lord is qualified to do so, he will open the portal."

That's just a fantasy feature. All right, let's try. Place your guild card on the pedestal and think of the streets of Pars.

- At that moment, the gate of the transfer gate was opened.

"Now, run! The gate will only open for a few moments!

"Hey, what is it?!?

Please also say that important information first!

"Master, just in case, I'll be ahead of you. Dear Tsubaki, I will see you again."

"Hmm. I'm looking forward to Effil's cooking."

In the swirling light with Gnegne, Effil jumped in without hesitation. Even more so, Master Tsubaki hurries us as he slaps his hands on the bread.

"Look, why don't you and your lords go quickly! The gate's closing, huh?

"At all, I had no idea this would be such a busy breakup. Then we will return to Pars."

"Oh, if anything happens again, you can count on your concubine. Let's do everything we can to help. Whatever, even if you still serve Trage..."

"Bye!

I was in the middle of a conversation, but the gate was starting to close, so I hurried into the light.

The light had spread on one side for a moment, and the next, it had landed on the ground. Where there was a landing tone for two behind me, the gogo and gate close.

"The use of the metastasis gates seems to have worked in the trage, Mr. Kelvin."

"No, I've just been doing what I like, Guild Leader, as usual"

Before I left the transfer gate, there was Ephil, who was ahead, and Rio. Why are you ambushing me?

"You knew I was coming back?

"Oh, because King Trage contacted me straight away. You've been in a good mood, and I'm not going anywhere else, am I?

"Ha ha, so is that"

"Hehe, naturally."

An odd laugh woods between them.

'Something's wrong with Kelvin... what's going on?

"Kings don't like guild leaders. I've been set up many times."

There, don't talk to me like I can hear you. It's a hit, though!

"So, how was your vacation in Trage?

"I enjoyed it. I got a lot of souvenirs, and I knew the king."

"Yeah, well, the Delamis braves put their hands on it, too."

"Yeah, well, they're still chicks, eh...?

It's probably not my fault that I felt Rio's monoculars glow so sparklingly.

"I know what's going on. Mistaken as an executive within a black-style aside, he had no choice but to respond. Successful interception without causing great injury to the brave. Yeah, the boulder is you, Kelvin."

Why have you already got that much detail!?

"But, you know, is this really a brave mistake? Isn't that what someone set it up for? Even if it isn't, do you know how much effort and expense it would take to darken the information from a Delamis spy? Were you thinking that if something happened to the brave, it would be a diplomatic issue, not Christopher's?

Oh, no. This guy's ability to gather information is immeasurable. Early on in my return, I was naturally grounded.

Having endured the trials in having a buddy, I ended up with a huge bounty from Rio (?) for some reason and was only done with verbal caution with "beware henceforth". Is this a sign of trust from Rio?
