Black Summoner
Episode 124, Sylvia.
- City of Pards/Clock Tower
Slightly south of the square in the heart of the city. There exists a clock tower built as a monument when the Quiet Town Pards was founded by four countries. The peace visited by the conclusion of peace, especially in the city, this watch stand boasts the highest height of Pars and is open to the public and a famous tourist attraction. There is an observation deck on the heavenly side that overlooks the whole city and is popular with tourists.
But nowadays, the clock tower is not popular. Because we are in the middle of a festival pulling the whole city, a game between S-class adventurers by Kelvin and Sylvia. This place, where tourists are usually constantly seen at every hour, had its guests uprooted and idle birds rang.
But there was just one person on the observation deck of the clock tower who looked down at the game venue from here.
"Hmm, she's still..."
At the end of the man's gaze around the exterior was Sylvia, Kelvin's opponent. The man nods as often as he has convinced himself of something.
"Is the General of the Knights of Steel watching the game without even escorting us here?
"... is that voice a cockroach?"
The voice of a sudden nominee from behind, the man looks back quietly without even showing a disturbing bare gesture. It was the Dwarf tribe Kokudri, a member of Sylvia's party, who spoke up. And until earlier, watching the game was General Dan Dalba, the military Trisen "Knights of Steel".
"Whoa, I'm honored you remember me. I'm sure you only know the difference."
"The face and name of a strong warrior are unforgettable."
"As a heterophobic Trysen, it's rare."
"As a matter of national policy, yes, but not everyone sincerely thinks so. Rarely are they like eagles. And by the way, wouldn't it be strange if she wasn't there?"
Dan holds his finger for the match venue. Just then, an ice star appeared in the sky.
"Hmm. Renoir (...) You can use that kind of magic now too? Sounds like you've grown even more in the last two years...... no excuse me, was it Sylvia now? Ashley's in the audience."
"Well, did you still notice?"
"I stretched out my hair and removed the muffler I used to always wear. But I told you, the face of a strong warrior will never be forgotten."
"... so what are you going to do with her?
The nature of the mood surrounding the cocktail changes, and the pressure strikes Dan. Still, Dan doesn't seem to mind. Dan raises his shoulders and represents no hostility.
"Well don't feel that way. I didn't come here to bring you back."
"So what does it look like?
The atmosphere of the venue eases slightly.
"It's a letter from Master Stra. Give it to Renoir."
"... a letter?
Dan hands Kokudri a letter. The envelope of the letter is pressed with the seal of the Royal Trysen.
"Two years ago, when Renoir disappeared with Ashley, Master Stra was terribly saddened. From a standpoint, they were the only best friends who could talk casually to Master Stra. I moved around the dark and searched, but eventually I was cut off without finding it."
"Oh, I guess so"
"I don't know why I'm in the adventurer business now, and I'm not willing to get my hands on this one now. The only people who know you've discovered Renoir are me and Lady Stra, and those who can be trusted. That's why I don't want you to grieve Master Stra any more."
"Say what...?"
"Read the letter and you'll see. Well, let's just say it's time for me to go home. Thanks for beating me to old age these days. It's hard to get here with a fast horse. I don't want to be old."
Dan wrinkles between his eyebrows and looks sinister as he slaps his hips.
"... the reason Sylvia left, why don't you ask?
Kokudri calls Dan to the tower stairs. I am not willing to kill, but I have not yet released my guard.
"If you ask, will you come back to Trisen? It won't be. Just dig up this untrained one. He disappeared silently to his best friend, Lady Stra. I guess I made a decision for the right reason. Then I'm good with that. Master Stra was also forgiven. Well, I'm only dissatisfied with my successor. Oh, isn't he here anymore..."
That being said, Dan starts going down the stairs. Without looking back, wave gently.
- Pards Adventurer Guild Guild Manager's Room
After I have successfully won the mock match, I will be detained for some time for interviews with my friends. That seems to be the same for Sylvia, who will be the first to see it this time, and there was a wave of people by another perimeter there. It gradually swept its masses, and by the time it was over, the sun had set in time. The festival noise seems to last until late tonight, and I can still hear the bustle outside.
"Yes, Mr. Tired. This is the new guild card. Keep up the good work."
"... Isn't it too light?
And I came to see Rio to get my S-class guild card, and I feel like I'm dealing with this all over again. I tried pretty hard, didn't I? I will receive the guild card first in the package.
"Haha, actually, I'm getting tired too. I'd like to go home and sleep as soon as possible. I don't want to get old."
"Oh really..."
"Well, that's not why..."
Rio laughs bitterly as he wipes the monocle. You seem unusual but really tired. Well, it's the end of some of the guild staff downstairs sleeping as they fall into the desk. I guess the responsible guild leader is more tired. By the way, after this, I'm planning a meeting with the Witch of Delamis. Too bad I don't have time to go home and sleep.
"Stay in Kerr and show us. New Alliance Certificate!
"I want to see it too"
"Both the eagle and the eagle!
Leon and Effil have been urging me without waiting. Gerard is also somehow back in his childhood mind. Calm down.
"Oh, look at that!
"" "Ooh!
I jerk it off, unwrap it, take out my guild card and put it up. It was golden in Class A, and it was turning into a fantastic, rainbow-colored one in Class S. It's probably because of my mind that the afterlight is shining, but the reception of the Lions is so good.
"Hehe, you get all kinds of colors at angles that light up!
"Sounds like holography."
"Don't put it out in public too much because it's precious for once... whoa, is it this time already? Do you remember your plans for this aftermath?
"Yeah. It was a meeting with Master Colette, wasn't it?... Uh, is she okay?
I'd like to personally forget the nightmare of the day, but honestly that's impossible. It drowned all over the city at high volume. I haven't seen him since, so I was just worried.
"Wouldn't it be all right... Delamis, I've been pulling into an inn where a row stays, and I seem to be praying to God all the time"
I hear you, huh? Melfina.
'Do you shake it on me here... she'll be fine. We've been through a lot of trials before.'
I think this trial is a terrible setup for a girl of her age. Even a man's heart breaks.
"I'll take care of that one, Kelvin, so you follow your guidance, Ange. Gordiana and the others must be on their way."
"Got it. Come on, you guys."
We're headed to Ange's waiting reception counter. When I closed the door, I thought Rio was whining "openly, diarrhea... what a voice to call..."
